----3 Days ago----
You were up way earlier than you needed to be for work, already showered you just needed to change out of pj's you put back on to be comfy before having to leave for the day.
Eddie was still sleeping upstairs and after you had showered you headed downstairs to watch some TV wasting time,already on your second cup of coffee with a half eating bit of toast you didn't feel like finishing.
It was now 6:35, hearing someone very sleepy yawn and stretch as they walk into the livingroom before flopping down on the sofa laying their head into your lap.
"Your bed head gets crazier every morning"
Smiling down at a sleepy Eddie in your lap, he brushes his hair out of his face
"Still beautiful?"
He asks yawning,then smiling with his eyes closed
"Oh very, the most beautiful"
Replying as you comb out his bangs with your fingers, one thing you were jealous about was how damn fast his hair grows, you needed to trim his bangs AGAIN
You finish combing them and making it look all neat,till he goes and blows them everywhere smiling as he messes up your work
"Boy..."
Playfully shoving your hand over his face which he licks
"You the beautiful one"
He says laying up off you and stretching his arms out infront of him,
"How long have you been up?"
Reaching over to the coffee table for the toast you left on the plate, he splits it in half and sits beside you with his legs up on the table,handing you half before biting into his.
Taking your half to force down, you knew you had to eat more before working and Ed knows your eating habits haven't been great lately,he always made sure you at least had a bit more even if he splits it with you to make you eat.
"Two hours or so, couldn't you sleep anymore?"
You ask turning your head towards him watching the nature program you hadn't been bothered to change channels since turning on the TV.
"Nah,driving you to work soon so I got up"
He says pointing to the coffee mug you were holding,
handing it over for him to finish off
"I can walk you know, you don't need to usher me around"
You smile turning to the screen laying your head back againt the sofa
"Yeah I do, all princesses have one silly"
He says confidently, you laugh slightly and lay your head to the side, seeing him holding the remaining bit of toast he had in one hand and your coffee in the other, staring back and forth at them both
".....Do not you filthy bit-"
Knowing exactly what he was thinking, he smirks not letting you finish your sentence, dipping the toast into the mug before biting the soggy end off,
"I'm filthyyyyy"
He whines like a girl turning to you smirking proudly
"Oh well we agree on something, good thing I was finished drinking that. Now that you've put crumbs in it"
You shiver, hating even thinking about crumbs in your coffee or tea, even from dipping cookies you had to do it in Eddie's drink and not your own.
"Surprisingly not bad"
He says leaning forward to set the mug down
"At least it was just butter and not jam or something. Still grosssss"
You tease wiggling away from him on the sofa
"Oooh do we have jam? That would be yu-"
Quickly cutting him off
"No we do not, stop destroying toast by dipping it in coffee what is wrong with yooou?"
He laughs picking your legs up to lay over his
"Ok says the one who dips her fries into milkshake. Don't knock my coffee toast till you've tried it,sweetheart"
Rubbing your ankle with him thumb
"You were the one who got me into the dipping fries into milkshakes thing, so don't try dragging me for that one. It's your fault"
Smiling at him sarcastically crossing your arms
"I know I was, you've been doing it ever since we were like what, nine? Everytime we go to the arcade a fry almost always ends up in MY shake before your own.
What I don't get is you knocking my coffee toast"
He smiles with a raised brow
"....Maybe because you DON'T DIP TOAST?!"
He laughs laying his head back against the sofa then the
both watch the nature program for a few minutes till you break the silence
"....Now I want fries"
Seeing Eddie shake his head smiling
"I'll take you after work and you can dip them in MY shake"
Squeezing your leg gently
"Uhh I know I can. Don't need your permission"
You reply in a bossy tone trying not to smile at that,
quickly looking back at the TV as you see Eddie turn his neck to look at you with raised brows again trying to figure out where that tone came from though he knew you were messing.
He lays back without saying anything trying to hide his smile by rubbing his mouth
"That's what I thought"
You mumble under your breath, his head turns to you again blinking a few times making you slap your hand over your mouth trying to not laugh, but before you could tell him you didn't mean that he throws himself over to you and attacks your sides with tickles making you squirm about,laughing real hard trying to grab his hands off you
"What was that? Hm? You wanna act all ballsy now? Got your big girl boots on?"
He asks grinning down at you as he keeps tickling
"AHHHA I'M S-SORRY STOP I WON'T SAY IT AGAIN"
You laugh over tears, he stops and leans off you slowly, you make the wrong choice by playfully kicking the back of his leg making him slip off the sofa and land on his ass, he just takes a deep breath and stares at the floor
"...You've got five seconds to run yn"
And with that you shoot up off the sofa and leg it, Eddie jumps up and goes after you not giving you time to even get out the door, both running up the stairs he tackles you to the floor once you get to the top of the landing.
----FV store ----
"When are you gonna bring coffee to my work place?"
Ed smiles over at you turning off the van as you make it to the video store
"The auto shop coffee is actually way better than family video coffee..trust me, I only had one cup of that crap and never again.
It's like...oneee single coffee grain
*pinching your fingers together all dramatic infront of his face which he bats away playfully*
in not even hot water...so now we order coffee"
Smiling proudly at him,you wasn't wrong.
"That's probably Harringtons doing you know...
"Too much coffee will get to you, it'll catch up with your heart sooner than you think kids"
Giving you his best old lady voice still managing to make you laugh.
Jumping out of the van to run around the other side helping you out with the drinks then making your way up to the video store, he pulls open the door letting you walk in first.
"Morning kids"
Steve says looking up from his newspaper, closing it up and sliding it aside resting his arms up on the counter
"Morning boss, coffee for you boss"
Poking at Steve as he hates being called that, finding it hilarious seeing him scrunch his face up in disgust all the times you'd mess with him over it.
"You know, just because Munson is here doesn't mean I won't fire you yln"
He smiles over at you picking up his coffee, joking of course
"Go ahead, try fire me Steve"
Saying back crossing your arms knowing Eddie was standing behind you, though we were messing about he still panicked hearing Ed crack his knuckles on both hands
"Pff, me? Fire you?...never."
He says back shaking his head
"Alright misses, off to work you gooooo"
Suddenly getting picked up from behind and lifted over the counter laughing at how ticklish your sides are, coffees quickly moved out of the way by Steve as you sit up on the desk before jumping down yourself on the other side, spinning back around smiling at Eddie, Steve just rolls his eyes and leaves you to it.
"There's some left over pie in the fridge, I hid a yoohoo right at the back away from Henderson"
You explain putting on your FV jacket,the kids came over lastnight for dinner and you watched a few movies before He dropped them home, school night.
"You do know I've been off work before, sweetheart? While you've been the one working. I'll be fiiine"
He adds stealing a sip of your coffee which you grab away from him fast before he could even get it down
"Heyyy, I need that-"
Something behind Eddie catches your eyes, Robin, holding her finger against her lips telling you to shh as she creeps up behind him, you try to hide your smile and go back to the conversation with Eddie.
".....BOOO!!!"
Robin shouts out grabbing his sides from behind making his kneecaps hit the counter with a loud thud as he almost jumps out of his skin
"JE-SUS CHRIST BUCKLEY"
He shouts back gripping his chest and placing a hand on the counter for support, luckily the store was empty it was still early morning,Robin laughs quickly running behind the counter over to you for protection before he could get her back
Covering your mouth trying not to laugh, Eddie leans forward resting his hands on his knees catching his breath then looks up at you
"Was that funny? Just wait till your home..."
He glares his eyes at you,
hearing Robin chuckle and let out a "Oooo" At what Eddie said, you playfully nudge her arm.
He stands up straight then leans over the counter patting his cheek while sticking his tongue out at Robin who does the same back,getting on your tiptoes leaning over and kissing his cheek, Robin watching in awe with her elbows rested up on the desk and face laying in her hands
Eddie kisses your forehead then notices her watching
"....You want one or something Buckley?"
He asks, she shakes her head no real fast
"Ew,Not from you I don't, no thanks"
Slowly dragging herself over to you while glaring at him, you smile shaking your head at how childish they both are, giving her a small peck on the cheek,Eddie pretending to be all jealous
"Playing with fire Buckley, you're playing with fire..."
As he points at her walking backwards to the door then turning to you quickly,bowing down before pushing open the door and running off.
"What a nerd"
Robin mumbles, you nod agreeing, but he was your nerd. Both of you get to work before Steve goes full boss mode as you just stand there chatting.
----Eddie's POV----
After dropping yn off at work I headed back to her place, Mrs yln was heading out for some early morning errands and a meeting just as I got back.
"Morning hun, did she get to work ok?"
Mrs yln asks stepping aside on the porch as I walk up the steps,not bothering to lock up now.
"Yep! She did, Going anywhere fun?"
I ask putting my hands in my pockets, she shakes her head digging around in her purse
"No, just a meeting then picking up some bits, might as well get it over with now, have you got your keys? Or am I leaving you mine"
She smiles getting hers out of her purse,
"Uhh.."
Using both hands to pat myself down quickly then pulling out my keys from my back pocket
"Nope I got mine"
Jingling them in my hand
"Did you need company? I don't mind coming along with you, I'm not doing much till picking yn up later"
I offer, she smiles kindly
"It's all good hun but thank you, head inside and get some breakfast. I should only be a few hours"
She replies scruffing up my hair, she's always done that ever since I grew my buzz out.
----Time skip----
Walking downstairs to the kitchen after I took a quick shower drying my hair with a towel in one hand and the walkie in the other, waiting for Henderson as usual to be on his lunch at school.
Setting the walkie upright on the counter and laying the towel around my neck.
Grabbing the left over pie from the fridge and heating it up in the microwave for a couple minutes then pouring myself some coffee
"Mannn I forgot my damn chips!"
A voice crackles from the walkie behind me, carefully spinning around with the mug reaching for it holding down the button
"Afternoon Henderson, need me to drop some lunch off?"
Instantly replying back then
hearing the microwave go off, setting my mug down and taking the pie out quickly before the plate burns my fingers blowing on them.
"No, it's okayyy. I have some other stuff thanks though"
He replies, carrying my pie and coffee into the livingroom balancing the walkie on my shoulder
then setting things down on the coffee table flicking on the TV.
"How's school so far? Staying out of trouble I hope"
Putting my legs up on the table and stabbing a fork into the pie
"When do I get in trouble?
It's alright, planning stuff for next week with Mike, are we still good for that?"
He asks, though I've finished highschool now we still get together on the same days we used to for dnd, was no way I would stop campaigns with my boys because I'm no longer there, Henderson was given charge with hellfire at school but I was still the dm with all our games and meet ups that took place either at yns place just for game talks or our normal spot at Dustins for actual play.
"Dude, of course!"
Replying with a mouth full of pie, getting it down before finishing what I wanted to say
"Is wheeler there with you right now?"
It goes silent for a few seconds
"....*sigh* hellllloo Munson."
Shaking my head smiling and holding the walkie to my mouth
"AHH, wheeler. How are we?"
"....Still alive. Can I run some idea I have for next campaign,
permissions needed"
He adds,setting down my finished plate and grabbing the coffee laying back on the sofa,
before anything happens during games,any ideas or questions are run by me, being the dungeon master, granting permission for whatever is asked to be done.
"I'm listening..."
Wheeler goes on with Henderson butting in now and then, talking about next week for the entire time their on lunch till heading back to class.
Few hours have gone by messing around on one of my acoustic guitars I left here till the phone starts to ring in the kitchen, sitting up off the sofa laying my guitar down and jogging out for the phone, hooking it off and leaning against the wall holding to my ear,not knowing who it is.
"Munsons dragon slaying services, if a dragon needs slaying, you better be payin. This is Eddie The Banished speaking how can I help you.....?"
It stays silent for a second
"Ummm did you put down your name for an apartment?"
A confused women on the other end says,my eyes widen as I lean off the wall
"UhH..Yeah,I did yes,It's,it's just Eddie Munson,Ma'am-"
I reply back slightly embarrassed introducing myself like that,slapping my forehead.
"Did you and um…. Miss yn yln still want the place you viewed?"
She adds,we viewed the apartment a few days ago, everything still ticked all the boxes,
we obviously asked questions and yn wanted to know if anyone had you know...died there, but it was all clear, no ghosts and no bugs.
The only thing putting most people off on the place was the bathroom door, it didn't shut but I told yn I could easily sort that out. It was owned by an elderly couple getting ready to move out of town wanting a change, they were really sweet to us and made sure we asked them things.
"We do yes, though we've been looking around for a second option in case,no luck yet but we know other people might of viewed the place after us and got it.."
Replying back to her, I was of course excited about having our own place, but I've had to learn to not get my hopes up from a young age, thanks to my old man, yn? She'd always ask if anyone had called about the apartment, as soon as we walked in to view it she'd fallen in love and I had tried my best to tell her softly that it might not work out first time around.
"Well, it's good you haven't found somewhere else, because the owner decided they liked you guys the best, so it's yours if you want it..."
I could hear her excited for us just by her voice, being the first place we've looked at I was kinda in disbelief I guess, at what she just told me, rubbing my mouth
"Really? They picked us? So we can move in...."
NOW I was even more excited,
Covering the phone with my hand whispering
"Holy shit it's happening....!"
Jumping up and down
"Yes that's right, they said you can pick up the keys in the morning and then it's all yours!"
I hope she couldn't tell I was jumping about,
"...That's, that's great! I- thank you so much...! I can't wait to tell yn"
I reply with a big grin on my face,making my cheeks hurt already but I didn't care
"Good luck to you both"
I thank her and hang the Phone back on the wall punching the air,That excited to tell yn that I forgot she was at work
"yn! guess wh- oh wait your at work...."
Checking the time on my watch she's still got like five hours left.... I can't wait that long.
Grabbing my keys off the counter and running for the front door, not paying attention my boots go on the wrong feet and I shoot out of the house to drive over to the video store.
----yn pov----
"Have a lovely day"
Waving to two customers who just checked out. It started to get busy around lunch and Steve has been chasing a group of young boys out of the store for messing up the adult tapes, again, but it was a different group this time, he'd chase them out of the store and then ten minutes later their back at it, but everyone that came through the door made Steve ready to run again, you and Robin found it pretty entertaining.
Especially seeing Steve hide behind the door waiting for then to try sneak back in again till he scares them right at the front door
"THESE TAPES ARE NOT FOR YOU, GET YOUR GRUBBY LITTLE HANDS OUT OF HERE"
Hopefully the last time you'll be seeing them tonight, Steve comes back looking like he's ages 10 years, sweating buckets and out of breathe
"I can't... I'm gonna have a early life stroke"
He pants holding a hand to his chest as he walks
towards the counter where you and Robin stood behind it crying of laughter, Steve flips you both off and lays his arms on the counter with his head in them.
"I'm gonna pee I can't-"
Robin gets up off the floor and runs to the back.
Not even Three minutes later the door bursts open again making Steve groan
"what the fuck?!"
You say at how loud the door opens looking over towards it thinking you'd see the kids back again
"I SWEAR TO GOD THE NEXT TAPE I HAVE TO TAKE FROM ONE OF YOU I WILL SMACK YOU WITH"
Steve says leaning up off the counter turning around, you tried to give him a heads up but the poor guys had enough
"Dude chill....?"
Eddie replies with a confused face holding his hands up slightly by the door
"YOU DONT KNOW THE DAY IVE HAD"
Steve adds rubbing his face vigorously before walking behind the counter and slumping into the chair by the computer.
"Eddie? What the heck?"
You say over to him confused as to how roughly he entered the store, he slowly grins
"....WE GOT IT! WE GOT THE PLACE!"
He shouts out throwing his arms up smiling big, instantly slapping your hands over your mouth
"NO WAY!?"
Shouting back over at him
"YEAH WAY BABYYY"
He jumps up and down and you squeal,diving over the counter running over to him
"...They- they liked us? So we have the place? Like it's ours? We can move in??"
You wanted to confirm again it didn't feel real, standing infront of him he nods
"Yep it's ours! We can get the keys tomorrow morning!"
This time the excited squeal turns into a scream as you throw your arms around his neck, his arms go around your back jumping up and down with you till you both have to stop and catch your breathes, Putting you down you step back a little and smile real big, Eddie to.
Happening to look down
"...Do you know your boots are on the wrong feet?"
You tilt your head confused at them,He looks down at his feet
"...Ha, would you look at that, so they are..."
Laughing at him knowing he was probably in a rush to get over here then he looks back up at you, grinning again and picks you up by wrapping his arms around your legs spinning around
Robin comes running out of the back
"WHAT I MISS! WHY ARE THEY JUMPING UP AND DOWN HARRINGTON IS SHE- ARE Y'ALL PREGNANT!?!"
She asks not knowing what the hells going on with a mixture of excitement and confusion
"WHAT??! NO of course not!-"
You say back over to her, Eddie puts you down again and lays his arm on your shoulder
"DAMN had me excited there"
She says with a little disappointment
"We got the damn apartment Buckley!"
Eddie adds not being able to stand still
Robins eyes lit up
"YAY NOW YOU CAN MAKE A BABY IN PRIVATE"
Jumping up and down clapping, Steve puts his hands on her shoulders to hold her down
"....What Robin really means is, that's great Congratulations guys, the BOTH of us will be around to help you move stuff in if needed"
Robin turns her head to him
"...Well yeah, that to, definitely, move boxes, watch whatever kid you got running around. We got you"
She winks crossing her arms
"Thanks bucks, appreciated"
You smile joking back with her, but hearing you say that
made Eddie do a double take at you like he was saying
"Come again?"
At the watch whatever kid you got running around part that Robin said.
"We haven't even packed? We should to that..."
Turning to Eddie and picking up his hand to look at how long you have left at work
"Go onnn, go pack your stuff kids"
Steve says patting the counter letting you go early
"Thank you thank you Steeeve!"
Quickly looking back at Eddie's boots
"Put your shoes on the right feet first"
"Oh, ya! Good idea"
This guy has to SIT ON THE FLOOR to change his shoes...
Jumping back up
"Ok done! Let's go"
Taking you by the hand and running for the door
"Byeeee see you guys on Monday I'll bring coffe!".
----Back to present-day----
You and Eddie are shopping for a couple extra bits for your apartment, been moved in for almost 4 days now and it's going well.
Ed wanted a "big boy armchair", his words exactly for the livingroom area.
Walking around a furniture store as he looks for one he likes, he's probably sat in about 6 already and...they all look the bloody same.
"Eddie...You've sat in like six chairs, all look the exact same"
You say standing infront of him sitting in yet another one, he looks up at you with his mouth slightly open as if he was offended at what you said
"No they did not, picking the perfect cushion density and body fit in armchairs or any chair for that matter is concidered art....I need to make sure I'm making the right choice"
He explains laying back, taking what you thought would be a ten minute job, VERY seriously.
He then pats his knee looking at you
"....what?"
You ask rubbing your eye
"We need to make sure all the sitting positions feel right for you if we want this one, start
with the one leg sitting and then straddle"
He smirks, only now saying IF WE want this one.
"You know we're in public right?"
Crossing your arms still standing infront of him not amused.
"Yeah I know"
He shrugs reaching his arm out and yanking you by the belt loops to sit down on him
"Chrissst Eddie...!"
You say landing on his lap, hand going onto his chest to stop you fully crashing into him as he yanks you down, he lets out a slight huff when you hit into him.
"Well....?"
He asks still smirking at you,
seeing you noticeably start to blush.
"...Yes very comfy, I like it perfect"
Looking away from him and getting up off his lap making him laugh at you a little.
Stiiill shopping, but finally got him away from the chairs and now looking for blankets and pillows, you took a few from home till you were able to buy some that fitted the colour themes.
Eddie trailing behind you holding a "mountain" of pillows while you look at even more, you can never have to many.
"Sweetheart..."
He says muffled into all the pillows he's carrying,
"I think we're good on the cushions..."
"We hardly picked any out..."
You reply squishing down another one you picked up checking how fluffy it was.
"I'm sorry...?"
He adds stopping in his path, poking his head around the cushions in his arms
"What exactly do you think we'll be doing that we need this much cushioning?"
You could still tell he was smirking at what he said.
"See this is why we need more. The more of them we have the less likely I am to throw something heavy at you"
Glaring at him then spinning back around done with that aisle and now onto your favourite...
"Oh god..."
Eddie mumbles following behind as you walk down the candle aisle
"The limit is three misses"
He says confidently like you were going to listen, not.
"You are no fun"
Shaking your head smelling candle after candle.
"Oh I'm sorry I'm currently being the human cart carrying all your pillows and blankets"
"Uh, correction, OUR pillows and blankets Ed"
Giving him a serious look before reading the back of a candle
"I wasn't even allowed to pick any of them out..."
He mumbles enough for you to hear
"Maybe so, but tell me which ones you don't like?"
You ask waiting for him to answer but he's stuck as he actually does like the ones you picked.
"What I thought. What scent do you prefer?
holding out two candles for him to smell
"...I like the pine one"
He nods his head at it as his arms are full, you pull a slight unsure type face at him.
"....Really? I don't think that goes with the colour theme"
You reply smelling both of the candles to try decide on one, Eddie sighs and leans against the shelf
"....Girl......I'm sorry what?
A smell doesn't go with the black and grey tones you've picked for OUR pillows?Then why ask meeee"
He says trying not to laugh at you
"It's less about the colours and more about the fact that the smell doesn't fit the viiibeee"
You try explain shaking your head
"Christ ok, ok well just get the one you think fits the viiibe"
He adds dragging out the last word making you slowly turn your head towards him and glare
"You're mocking me aren't you?"
Not breaking your glare from his face, he shakes his head.
"Absolutely not I would never"
You decide on both candles you asked him to smell, continuing to walk till you spot another one in a cool looking jar
"Oooo..."
About to balance both candles in your arm to pick up the other one you saw
"GET...."
He says kicking you playfully in the butt to keep on walking
"You said three!"
You whine as he nudges you away from the candles
"Well I changed my mind"
Quick to answer you back as be pushes you away.
"Is there anything else we need.... Edward"
Smirking at yourself.
"My government name? Really? Because I wouldn't let you grab another candle?"
He says behind you, his tone all serious but you couldn't help love teasing him with it.
"Edddwaard....Eeedwaaard"
Mocking him as you whisper shout walking around the store
"You are treading dangerous water YN"
Catching up and waking beside you giving you a "watch it" look.
"Still haven't told me if there's anything else we need.... *whispers* Edward"
"Jesus Christ woman
*Rolls his eyes* calm down you know we have to pay before we can use all this"
"That's normally how shopping works, yes. You can pick the bedding and I won't disagree...promise"
You spin around on your toes smiling,letting him know you won't disagree with his choice, a smirk creeps across his lips again.
"Why would you? I'm good at bedding"
Raising his brow at you,
"Boy, pick the damn bedding before I take the privilege away from you"
Crossing your arms.
"Is that a threat or a promise?"
Trying not to smile at him causing your serious face to make him laugh
"Pick....or I will"
Forcing yourself to not laugh with him, he's such a shit head at times, He finally picks one
"I think you'll look good ontop of this one"
Of course, said with a grin.
"So will you when I suffocate you with it"
Snatching it from him playfully and carrying it with the candles
"Oooo feisty I like ittt"
He whispers laughing under his breath.
"Jesus Munson pick the damn bed spread."
"So you can spread on the bed yes I know"
You had to look away from him at that one trying not to laugh or show you were finding it funny.
"I'm not saying anything else about beds or sheets because your dirty mind is having a field day so just pick"
"Sweetheart I'm in my element, plus you find it funny don't be a liar"
Nudging his shoulder against yours
"Soooooo funny mhmm"
Trying to sound sarcastic, he scoffs
"Fucking hilarious you mean.
No joke though,you'd look good on this one"
Reaching his hand to grab another,now trying not to laugh at himself as he sees your head turn towards him again from the corner of his eye
"Edward!"
You shout out in the middle of the store
"I'm getting this one!"
He shouts back at you as he legs it away, dropping a pillow as he goes which you pick up before running after him.
----Back Home----
A few hours after your long, drawn out, but incredibly fun afternoon of shopping to decorate your new apartment with Eddie, and unpacking as many boxes as you could manage the energy to get through, you two decided to call it a day, leaving many boxes unopened scattered about your new place.
Sprawled across your shared couch, laid out on your back, your head resting on Eddie's lap, feet crossed over the arm, holding a bowl of popcorn to share on your stomach, you'd decided to watch "The Karate kid part II", a movie you both enjoyed, and also one of the only VHS movies you'd manage to dig out.
It's largely comfortable silence between you two as you watch the movie,which gives your mind time to wander.
Your mind replays the several different situations you'd been forced into within the past couple of months with Billy, the way he'd made you feel unsafe and anxious, feelings that only subsided a bit when you'd been able to take your knife out for protection,
but never enough to feel totally safe. After all, beyond a simple slashing or stabbing motion, you had no idea how to physically protect yourself.
If he were ever to try anything again, and he managed to get
