You woke to soft kisses on your shoulder and a hand gently rubbing circles on your stomach. The soft mutters from your wife finally reached your ears and made them twitch, causing your eyes to flutter open. A soft whine came from Cassandra before she got impatient and her kisses moved to your neck, a giggle leaving her when you squealed at the feeling of her fangs.
"Good morning, my love," Cassandra purred and nuzzled her cheek against yours. "Still no morning sickness?"
"Thankfully," You whispered before returning the affectionate purr. "It won't be long now... I'm still shocked mother Miranda was able to do this — the cadou really is amazing."
"I hope it's a girl. And I hope she has your smile."
You buried your face in her neck at that, a flustered whine leaving you in the process. It may be seven months after your one year with Cassandra, but her compliments always seemed to fluster you. She waited for you to move away from her neck before capturing your lips in a kiss, both of you smiling into it. You pouted when she broke the kiss, gripping her nightgown before pulling her in for another kiss.
Cassandra giggled but returned the kiss anyway, one hand rubbing your stomach while her free arm wrapped around your waist. You let out a soft moan when she squeezed your waist and deepened the kiss, entangling your fingers in her hair. A knock at the door made you break the kiss — which now gave Cassandra access to your neck that she began kissing immediately.
"Aunties! Breakfast!" You smiled at the voice of Costin — Isa and Daniela's son — before pulling away from Cassandra.
"We'll be right there!" You called back and giggled when you heard his giggle, followed by the sound of him taking off down the hall in a run.
"I still can't believe they adopted a human," Cassandra hummed as she sat up. "But I understand the reasoning behind it. Do you still want to adopt some day?"
"As long as you want to as well."
"I'd happily grow our family in the future. How long do we wait after this one is born?"
"A few years?" You suggested with an ear twitch as she rubbed your stomach. "Gives us time with them and to prepare."
"Sounds like a plan," Cassandra hummed and glanced at your stomach when you winced in pain. "They kicked my hand."
"Strong kick," You grumbled once the feeling faded. "I guess they like that plan."
Cassandra nodded before getting out of bed and helping you. Once you were both presentable, she held your hand and began the path to the dining hall. That was one of the downsides of being pregnant; Cassandra couldn't swarm you places. Every time she did, you'd get sick and she'd have to carry you back to the room. Which meant you were excited and scared about having the child. Cassandra had offered to carry the child, but her body rejected the cadou Miranda had modified.
You were all shocked when your body didn't do the same, but now you were ecstatic. Once you reached the dining hall, you sent everyone a smile and took your seats. Costin sat on Daniela's lap with a wide smile on his face, leaning into her when her arms wrapped around him. Bela whispered something to Hunter before she cleared her throat, gaining everyone's attention.
"Hunter and I have an announcement to make," Bela started while nervously squeezing her wife's hand. "[Y/N] isn't the only pregnant one anymore."
"Wait—," Cassandra muttered for a moment before remembering something. "Never mind."
"Did you forget?" Hunter giggled as she moved a hand to Bela's stomach. "We've been trying for a bit, mother Miranda confirmed our suspicions last time she visited. Bela's about two months along."
"That's great news," Your mother-in-law hummed with a smile. "The Dimitresch family is growing... I couldn't be happier."
"How are you and that goddess doing?" Isa asked with a smirk, making everyone snap their heads i. their direction.
"You-?"
"I get told a lot of things by gods. She really likes you, go for it. You being happy and in love will make the rest of us even happier."
"I'll have to have a word with Hekate about keeping secrets."
Isa laughed and you all began eating breakfast, light conversations popping up here and there. After breakfast ended, you walked with Cassandra to the atelier and sat on one of the chairs next to her stool. You watched as she moved about the room and gathered materials. Once she was seated, you rested your head against her shoulder and let your eyes flutter shut.
'Thank you, mother Miranda, for saving me that day.'
'You're welcome, dear. I love you, little fox.'
'I love you too, mama.'
Four Months Later
You rested on Cassandra's chest as your eyes trained on the infant Isa was holding. The baby had arrived a few weeks ago and you were finally out of the protective stage. Before, you would growl at and try to bite anyone that wasn't Cassandra that got too close to your daughter. Your right ear twitched before Isa shifted, returning the smile they sent you.
"I'm still shocked she's here," Isa chuckled as you sat up and let Cassandra sit up to take your daughter from them. "How is recovery going, [Y/N]?"
"Better than expected," You whispered and watched Cassandra kiss your daughter's head. "All thanks to everyone's help. Sorry about biting you, by the way."
"We're married to vampires. I'm used to getting bit."
"Fair enough."
"Have you two settled on a name for her? Or should I get everyone else before you reveal that?"
"Get everyone," Cassandra answered for you, a content smile on her face as she watched your daughter. "I want everyone here when we say it."
Isa gave a nod before standing from the bed and leaving the room. It wasn't long before they returned with everyone — leading you to believe they were waiting in a nearby room the entire time. Once everyone was in the room and settled down, you pressed a kiss to Cassandra's cheek. You both turned your attention to everyone else, wide smiles taking over your faces while your tail wagged from happiness.
"Everyone," Cassandra started before moving so everyone could get a better look at your daughter. "Meet Evelyn Dimitrescu."
"She has-!" Daniela gasped quietly when Evelyn moved and her ears were put on display.
"Awe," Bela cooed with Daniela, making you giggle.
"No ears!" Costin whined when he felt his head and realized he didn't have fox ears as well.
You giggled and sent him a smile. "Maybe one day."
Costin beamed before snuggling into Isa. Hunter glanced between Evelyn and Bela before she pressed a kiss to Bela's temple, a smile on her face when she did so. You internally sighed happily at the affection, knowing it was because Hunter was ready to be a mother.
Once Evelyn fell asleep, everyone bid quiet goodbyes to you before leaving, allowing you to cuddle into Cassandra as she held Evelyn. You sighed happily, your tail swishing around to rest on your lap. Cassandra turned her head slightly and pressed a kiss to your forehead, earning a purr of joy.
"You did great," She murmured with a smile. "I know I've said it every day since she was born, but it's true. I'm so proud of you, and words can't describe how happy I am now that we have a daughter."
"I love you, Cassie," You purred and tilted your head to peck her lips. "I'm glad you picked me."
"I'm glad you came back to me and gave me another chance."
"You were always going to be my one and only," You whispered against her lips.
"And you were always going to be my eternity," Cassandra promised before connecting your lips in a soft yet passionate kiss.
