"I suggest we use amethyst instead of ruby since we use ruby and emerald in our last collection" I suggested
"Yes I agree with Lilarh rubies is so much popular traditional gemstone than sapphire, sapphire Will suit this jewelry perfectly" the director of the creative art department,Mrs Alkali said
"Yes that will suit perfectly,we shall use sapphire and black opal in the others" the chief designer,miss yusuf agreed
"That's final then,it settle" Aunty said.
We are currently about the upcoming new set of jewelries that will be out at the end of the year,we are working our ass off because of too much work,the fashion house are willing to Renew their trend, from clothing line to shoes,bags and jewelries all are need to be renew, there are many work at hand,the jewelries were just designed they are yet produce,its only the shoes and bags were ready.
Not long after I started working at the house, Mrs Alkali ask of me being her assistant,so work is kinda hectic. I drafted the designs of clothes which are to be approved so we are currently working on the gemstones that should be use for the jewelries.
"Also about the upcoming new collections of cloths,shoes and bag they should be released on the first week of the new year" I said
"Yes but I was thinking of conducting an autumn fashion show before that" Aunty, the CEO said.
"Yes that is great, the models were all ready so we don't need to work on that aspect " Mrs Alkali said
"But then this need be dicuss with HR department and other directors" Linda,PA.
"Yes must call for a conference meeting" Aunty Safeena said
"Lilarh you should submit your drafted designs to the styling and manufacturing department "
"Okay I will " I said.
After the meeting went back to my cabin to finish my work,I skip lunch because of the works. I need to finish the final touch of the designs so can give the manufacturers.
When I'm done,I'm so tired and hungry I just want to see my self at home but then I still have a place to go,i promised ya Farouq that I will branch at his place so I need to go.
After I've closed off from work,I carry my tired body to went directly to the company to meet with ya Farouq,he seems tense when we talked yesterday so I want to hear what's wrong.
When I got there,it's was also their closing hours,there were less people who were busy rounding up there work,I went in without any help because I know my way there,I used to be there once in a while so I'm familiar with it, even some employees are known to me so I walk directly to the elevator,I press the last floor where the CEO office is.
I knocked before entering with out waiting for a response.
"Hello Mr CEO " I said to ya Farouq which he was sitting Infront of his MacBook,busy typing.
"You shouldn't have knocked since you couldn't wait for a go ahead" He said sparing me a glance before going back to his work.
"Woah did I even need to knock at first" I said sprawling my self on the chair.
"You're lucky it's the closing time or else..
"Or else you would have send me out, HUH, remember you are the one that ask for me" I said before adding "I'm even tired and hungry but I decided to branch at your place before going to my house,but then this is the welcome I got"
"Wai your house, toh rub it on my face that you're married, don't worry I will also get married soon" he said shutting down his laptop so now his concentrate were fully on me.
"As if you will, abeg find something for me to munch on before telling me what worries you" I said
"Is that visible even" he ask
"Yes I sense it from your voice yesterday, and now your looks" I said to which he nodded
" There are some fruit and snacks in the fridge serve your growling stomach,at this time I doubt much if the cafeteria are still open" He said. I just drag my self to where the fridge is because I Know there is no way he will help me with that.
The fridge was so filled with all kinds of variety of snacks and fruit, Farouq is a foody so there is no surprise to find his Fridge filled with mouthwateries. I picked a Nutella filled in doughnut and a milk cake with a juice. I make my self comfortable on the couch before munch in.
"So now tell me" I said
"Finish your food first" he said before going back to his work.
"I'm all ears now" I said after finishing. He got up from his seat and walk to me sitting beside. He seems insecure.
"Is About your friend"
"My friend, which one of them" I ask even though I Know where this talk is going to end
"Cut the crap Lilarh, which of your friend did I have a business with, Tasneem of course" he said impatiently.
"Owhh,have you sort your self"
"That is the reason I called you,I really want to sort out things between us but she's giving me a hard time"
"Do you still like her?"
"Yes I do,I really love her lilarh,but she I don't even know what to say" he said and sighed.
I got what he's suffering for,I Know how strong headed Tasneem is,she will not give in simply,she must pain him since he's the first one that brought the break up.
I'm aware of how her heart broken, how she cry day and night thinking he broke up with her because he's going to Cyprus maybe marrying a maiden from there,but to Farouq mindset he broke up with her because he doesn't want to waste her time waiting for him.
From that moment, Tasneem cut off her ties with men,She didn't have time for the opposite gender.
"You should expect more from Tasneem,you twisted thing between you two you should have explained things with her but you went with out any explanation" I said
"Lilarh just help me out,try and explain things to her"
"Tit for tat,so what I'm gaining for doing so"
"Any thing for my dearest sister" he said trying to cajole me
" Don't sweet talk me,I can't promise you that you know how Tasneem is but I will try"
"Thank you so much,I really love her and wish to marry her"
"So that is the reason you said you are going to get married soon calm your horse man she didn't even agree" I said laughing
"Say Khair lilarh, inshallah she will agree, she still love me I can see it in her eyes she just want to make me suffer"
"Uhmm love detector,just prove how sincere you are may be she'll soften" I said getting up picking my bag in the process.
"Lemme come and be going, I have to prepare dinner before my husband come back from work" I said adjusting my veil
"Su masu miji manya, I hope you're cooking the good and healthiest food to your husband" he said standing up also
"You know,you can look down on my food because I'm perfectionist in that aspect " I said with a proud smile on my face
"Uhm I can tell of that"
"So when are you coming to my house"
" When I'm free from this boring work "
"I will be expecting you then, so bye extend my greetings to Daddy and the rest"
"Okay, greet your husband for me bye take care"
I drove out of the company to home, before I could reach home Aryan called,I think maybe he's at home but then he don't usually come at this time nevertheless,I picked the call connecting it to the earphone.
"Hey,dear how are you" I said after i answered the call
"I'm fine how is work" he said in calm tone that seize to make me flutter
"Stressful" I whine to which he chuckled slyly
"Don't over work your self okay, are you yet to be home" he said in a caring manner
"Yes I'm on my way"
"Okay I will also round up my work, I called to tell you not to bother preparing dinner tonight "
"Why not" I ask curiously
"I'm taking us out for dinner"
"Dinner date" I ask excited
"Yeah dinner date would you like to go"
"Yes I will love to go" I said
"Okay,I will be home soon,take care drive safely"
"Okay bye don't take long"
"Uhm" and I disconnected the call.
I'm really happy for that,it's so kind of him to suggest on we go to dinner date, actually I'm very tired to cook tonight it's so relieved that he saved me from that stress, and of course it's our first date that add to my excitement.
