66. It's something that's been said by Polnareff so many times... What if Polnareff finally adopted you? (baby... You're a baby at first)
After the fight with dio they found out about you, you were whining because you're still a newborn baby
"so... What are we going to do with her? We killed dio and now she's an orphan" kakyoin said
"I want to adopt her" Polnareff said, everyone was shocked
"why? Don't forget she's also a part of our family" Joseph said
"because I'm lonely, after I go back to France I'll be home alone, I have no parents, no sister and no other relatives.... So I want to adopt her so I can have someone to take care of" Polnareff said, after some thoughts Joseph agreed and they made a deal that you'll know who your relatives are.
After some legal things they had to do you were adopted by Polnareff, he was very happy to finally have some company and he didn't care if you were his enemy's child.
"this is your new home!" he said happily, he showed you his room, bathroom, kitchen, living room, his sister's room which was untouched and last but not least your room, he got it ready for you before he adopted you.
He was so caught up with having some company over that he didn't count the sleepless nights he'll have, but he got through it though.
When you finally got a passport you bet your sweet ass you two went on trips around the world, you went to Germany, Switzerland, England, Croatia etc, you two went all over Europe.
One day you were left in the living room while Polnareff was making you something to eat, you crawled around but then you decided that you wanted to walk, so you went over the couch and grabbed on it and lifted yourself up, your friend was sitting there and when he saw that he smiled at you.
Just in time Polnareff walked in and saw it and gasped, you looked at him and then just started walking around
"yes! You finally walked!! We should celebrate that" he said as he picked you up.
"do you want to celebrate this with your big brother? Do you?" he asked and you smiled, meanwhile your friend was confused.... Polnareff didn't have the birthmark so how is he your big brother?
Your friend wondered about it for a while until he found out that Polnareff adopted you. But there are other joestars and they know about you, why didn't they take you in? Your friend was mad.
Around Christmas everyone decided to go to France and celebrate it there.
"she grew up so much since we last saw her" Joseph said as he picked you up.
"she even said her first word!" Polnareff said
"really? What was her first word?" Joseph asked
"her first word was 'papa' but when she said that she wasn't looking at me, she was looking at something else and she was crawling towards where she was looking, that day freaked me out but then she said merde which means shit so the day got better" Polnareff said and kakyoin laughed, the others where thinking of what Polnareff said, who did you call papa? Well you called your friend papa and he also decided he won't reveal himself to his family because he was mad at them for giving you up for adoption.
"oh! And she also started calling me big bro, I'm feeling so happy but I know that no one will replace my sweet sister sherry, but now I got a new sister to take care of" Polnareff said
Some time passed and you got older, Polnareff taught you both English and French but you spoke English with an accent
"big bro! Why do you have that room locked?" you asked Polnareff
"you see that's my other sister's room, she's sadly no longer with us, a bad guy took her away from us forever" Polnareff said, he could see he was sad
"can you tell me about her?" you asked him and he nodded, he told you some stories about sherry and what they did together when they were younger, you listened to everything and saw the look on his face, there was a hint of nostalgia and sadness, in the end of his story you hugged him and he hugged you as well.
One day it was raining and Polnareff told you to not go outside so you had to stay in, you were so bored, he was as well but you two didn't know what to do. You then thought of something and told Polnareff, you told each other stories
"this story isn't mine, it's my friend's" you said and he sat there confused
"friend's? When did you make a friend?" he asked you
"since I can remember myself, we talk to each other and play when you're not around, he told me this one story when I asked him about himself" you said, Polnareff was starting to get worried, you were friends with someone he didn't know? What if he was danger
"so what did that friend tell you about?" he asked
"he grew up in England, he was rich and like he told me also a gentleman, he told me he had a nice life until his father adopted a child, that child made his life miserable for years, he was evil! He took his friends away, took the first kiss of my friend's first love and I think he killed his dog, after years he was poisoning my friend's dad, those two fought many times but sadly my friend died, he was still young when he died, I think he was only 21 years old" you said... This freaked Polnareff a lot, you were friends with a dead person?!?!?
"o-oh... That's wonderful, how does your friend look like?" Polnareff asked, he was almost shitting his pants, you just got up and run out of the room, after a while you came back with a newspaper
"when we went to the library a week ago and I was searching around I found an old newspaper that had a picture of my friend, both when he was young and when he was an adult, so I took it with me" you said and you handed him the newspaper, he took one look at the first picture and then read what it said underneath... I shit you not he just sat there shocked, he then looked at the other picture
"...... So this is your friend?" he asked as he pointed at one picture
"yes" you said while smiling
"and that's his evil adoptive brother?" he asked as he pointed at another picture
"yeah.... I don't like him, he's evil" you said
"uhm.... Why don't you stay here, I just remembered that I need to make a phone call" he said and you nodded, he got up and went and called someone
"hello?" someone said when they answered the phone
"hello Mr. Joestar? I have something very important to tell you" Polnareff said, Joseph noticed the kind of tone he was using
"Polnareff did something happen? Are you and (y/n) okay?" Joseph asked
"we're both fine but I found out something that freaked me out" Polnareff said
"what is it?" Joseph asked
"(y/n) can communicate with dead people, at least with one as far as I know" Polnareff said
"what? Did she tell you with who?" Joseph asked
"yes... It's your dead grandpa she can communicate with!" Polnareff whisper-yelled, there was some silence on the other end of the line
"are you sure? Are you really sure about it?" Joseph asked
"yes, she told me his Backstory, which I didn't know but she also somehow found a newspaper with news from when your grandfather's father adopted dio, to when dio went missing and then the news when your grandfather married your grandmother, she even pointed at him and said that he's been around her since she can remember" Polnareff said
"big bro! Don't close the phone yet!!" you yelled from the living room, you run up to him and gave him a piece of paper
"my friend wrote it and told me to give it to you so you can read it to the person you're talking" you said and then went to the living room again
"what happened Polnareff?" Joseph asked
"uhm, apparently your grandfather knows that I'm talking with you and he wants to tell you something, let me read it to you really quick" Polnareff said and he looked at the paper
"what does it say?" Joseph asked
"ummm.... To summarize everything, he's very mad at you that you didn't take (y/n) into the family and you let someone adopt her, he says that what you did was unexceptable and he'll refuse to show himself to you or any other of his descendants... Oof that doesn't sound good" Polnareff said
"... Just write down the reason why we let (y/n) to get adopted by you, it's not like we didn't want her or we refuse to accept her in the family! We communicate with her every week! We all gather and see her on holidays and birthdays!" Joseph said
"I will do that and maybe he'll be fine to why you let me adopt her, but maybe he won't, his handwriting seems very angry" Polnareff said and Joseph just sighed
"if you have any other news call me, bye" Joseph said and he hang up, Polnareff then immediately started writing an explanation to why they let him adopt you
"hey (y/n)? Can you give this to your friend? Also don't try to read it" Polnareff said and you nodded, you took the folded paper and handed it to your friend, to Polnareff it seemed like the paper was floating in the air and it scared him.
After a while your friend folded the paper and it seemed like he told you something
"he's asking when the others will come over again" you said
"oh yeah I forgot to tell you, since it's Mr. Joestar's birthday soon we'll go to New York, so maybe he'll see the others there" Polnareff said and you nodded
A few weeks passed and Polnareff told you that you two will get ready to go to New york
"when we get here can we go that famous square?" you asked him and he laughed
"you mean times Square?" he asked and you nodded
"alright, we can go there" he said and you smiled
Two days later you two left for the airport, when you got in the plane you looked out of the window as the plane took off
"it'll take hours for us to get there so you can sleep if you want" he said and you nodded
After hours of being in the plane you two finally arrived, you got out and went to take your luggages
"and now we wait for someone to come and pick us up" Polnareff said and you nodded, you two waited for a few minutes until you saw Joseph in the distance
"you two made it, I'm glad!" Joseph said as he hugged you both, you three then got in a car and went to his house, It was the first time you would be at new york and his house.
While you were all on the way to Joseph's home you looked out of the window in awe, the city was so big.
When you all finally arrived to your destination you were left with your mouth hanging open, the house was huge!!
"don't just stand there, come in!" Joseph said and you followed them inside, you and Polnareff were greeted by the rest of the crusaders plus Holly and suzie
"look at how she grew up, she got even more adorable!!" suzie said as she pinched your cheeks
"hey there (y/n) how are you, we haven't seen you in a while" kakyoin said
"I'm fine, I'm going to start kindergarten soon!!" you said
"that's awesome! You're going to make some friends your age" kakyoin said
"uhm... Speaking of friends, my and Jotaro will be in the room right next to this one, can you send your friend over, we want to speak to him" Joseph said and you nodded, after they went to the other room your friend went as well, you didn't listen to what they were saying
"when I'll go to kindergarten I'll tell all my friends in class that I know four languages! They will be amazed!!" you said and they laughed
"they for sure will be amazed because you can speak many languages" holly said
"when you'll grow a bit older I'll personally teach you italian, okay?" suzie asked and you nodded.
After a while the others came back out
"so what about we let the party begin?" Joseph asked and you all agreed
That day you all had fun, you played games, you especially got mad at Polnareff for eating your food again, you then had more fun, but they made the wrong choice and gave you sugar... Too much sugar
"(y/n) calm down a bit!!" Polnareff said as he chased you around
"you can't catch me big bro!! I'm very fast!!" you said as you run around the place like a hurricane, everyone tried to catch you but they couldn't, until they didn't have any other choice
"Jotaro.... Do it" Joseph said, Jotaro nodded and stopped time and he was able to catch you, when time resumed you started squirming around and was trying to leave, you wanted to get rid of all that energy, it felt suffocating, you wanted to exhausted yourself. You then bit Jotaro and he let you go
"she fucking bit me!!" Jotaro yelled, you laughed and run away
"just let her be, she's just running around, she'll eventually feel tired and stop" holly said and the others agreed, they were to exhausted to chase you around.
This went on for 30 minutes until you just felt tired and collapsed on the couch and immediately fell asleep
"she finally calmed down" Joseph said
"I'll get her to bed" Polnareff said as he picked you up
"let me get you there" suzie said and she guided Polnareff to the guest room where you and him will be sleeping for a few days, when you got there suzie left and Polnareff put you to bed.
"it still feels like I'm taking care of sherry..... I don't want to lose that feeling again, I'll protect you more than I should of done with sherry, I promise" Polnareff said as he pulled the covers over you
When you two got back to France you went around spending lots of time outside and bonding like siblings
"if you're my big brother then why don't you have the same birthmark as me or the others?" you asked Polnareff
"you see... We're not related by blood but you're still my little sister and I'm still your big brother" he said and you nodded, it's fine, you didn't care.
One day at school some kids mocked you because you didn't look like Polnareff
"also where are you parents huh? Did they leave you?" one boy asked and he then laughed
"no.... They're not alive" you said as you looked down, this caused the boy to laugh even more
"hey! What are you laughing at?!?" you heard Polnareff yell, the boy looked over as Polnareff approached you two
"who gave you the right to mock her huh?!?" Polnareff yelled
"I... I-I" the boy started to speak but he couldn't finish
"leave and don't bother her again, if you do then I'll beat you up and I don't care if you're a little kid!!" Polnareff yelled and the boy run away
"next time he bothers you tell me okay?" Polnareff asked and you nodded
Polnareff would do anything to protect you from any harm, even if that meant leaving you with Jotaro for some time so he could continue researching for the stand arrows.
"alright, you'll stay here with Jotaro and his family for a while and I'll come back soon okay?" he said and you nodded, he then handed you one of his earrings and left.
You stayed with Jotaro for longer than you thought, for the first year you could wait by the window for Polnareff to show up but he never did, both marina and Jotaro saw how sad you were getting by every passing day.
"did you find him yet?" marina asked Jotaro
"no... I don't know where he is or if he's even alive" Jotaro said
"we should try and find him, I can't stand seeing (y/n) like that, it breaks my heart" marina said
"you don't need to get involved, I'll keep searching for him" Jotaro said and marina nodded
As for you, you waited for him everyday while keeping yourself occupied with school and with being around jolyne most of the time.
More years passed and there was still no sign of Polnareff, you started to believe that he was either dead or he left you alone because he couldn't stand you anymore (😭😭😭pun intended maybe??)
One day when Jotaro was away for business again you got tired of waiting, you used Polnareff's earring and your stand and you found out where he was, so you booked a ticket, packed some stuff, wrote a note and left.
When marina found the note she immediately notified Jotaro, Jotaro told some members of the foundation to start searching for you.
When you arrived to your destination you went out of the airport and waited for a taxi
"hey, do you want me to take you somewhere?" you heard someone ask, you looked over and saw a boy your age, he was blonde and he was wearing a black outfit with a titty window (that's after the events of pt5)
"yes please, I want you to take me to this hotel" you said as you showed him the address on the paper
"alright, get in and I'll drive you there" he said, you put your stuff in the back of the car and then went and sat at the passenger's seat, the boy started the car and drove to the hotel
"here's a map if you need one so you can look around" he said as he handed you a map
"thanks" you said
"so what brought you here?" he asked
"I'm looking for my older brother, one day he left me at a relave and promised he'll be back but since then years passed and he never came back.... I'll even search all of Italy to find him and get an explanation on why he left me for so many years and didn't even call me once" you said
"I see..." he said
After a while you arrived at the hotel, you got your stuff and payed the guy and went to your room, you weren't dumb to reserve a room under your real name, you also did a few illegal stuff but no one will know.... Okay only one person from the foundation but still!
After you got settled you left and started searching, but you didn't find anything on the first day, not even on the second day. But one day you did found him.
You were walking around while searching for him, when you spotted his hair.
'I hope this time is him' you thought as you walked up to him, when you got closer you saw that it was indeed him but he had changed, he was in a wheelchair and he didn't have legs. You could feel yourself starting to cry and then you got angry and walked up to him and stood in front of him
"where were you all these years?!?" you yelled at him, he looked at you with a very shocked look
"(y/n)?" he asked, he was shocked
"I asked you where were you and why are you in this kind of state?!?" you yelled again as angry tears rolled down your face
"(y/n) what I did was to protect you, I left you with Jotaro for your own well being, now that the danger is away I was going to come back but I didn't know how you were going to react when you would of seen me like that" he said
"I don't care! You left with no explanation and I didn't know if you were alive or if you just wanted to get away from me" you said as you continued to cry
"I would never want to get away from you, you're my little sister after all.... I also didn't know how you would of reacted after I told you something very serious" he said and you looked at him
"say it, I don't care if it hurts me or not" you said as you wiped your tears, he sighed and looked at you
"you see... I know you'll hate me after what I'll tell you but I want you to listen to me and let me explain..... Me, Jotaro, Mr. Joestar, kakyoin and avdol are the reason why your father died but please listen to me and why we did that" he said, you just stood there shocked
"you see... Your father was a vampire, and believe it or not.... Your father is the one who killed your friend, Jonathan joestar" he said and you were more shocked
"what?" you asked
"also somehow, you have two biological fathers, one is your birth father and the second one is Jonathan joestar" Polnareff said
"WHAT?!?" you asked louder, he nodded and started explaining everything.
"why did you tell me now?" you asked him
"well we didn't know how to tell you before.... Also I told you now because I just found out you have a brother here... You're biologically related to him" he said and he took out something
"that's him" he said and he showed you a picture
"that's the taxi driver that got me to my hotel" you said
"so you already met him, that's nice.... Anyways, are you here with Jotaro?" he asked and you looked down
"...... Don't tell me you got here alone?" he said
"well.... One of the speedwagon foundation members made a fake ID for me and helped me get here, Jotaro doesn't know but I did leave a note explaining that I left to search for you" you said and he sighed
"let's go, you need to meet giorno, he's a nice guy, unlike your birth father" he said and you laughed, you both left and he guided you somewhere, you also told him what happened while he was gone
"I believe their marriage can't be saved anymore, they might even divorce and all of that will happen because Jotaro refuses to get any help to defeat the stand users" you said
"that guy has always been like that, maybe I'll talk some sense into him" Polnareff
"you'll waste your time, he doesn't listen" you said, you two were silent for a bit
"oh, there they are" Polnareff said and you both went up to a group of guys
"hey Mr. Polnareff.... Who's she?" Narancia asked
"that's my little sister, her name is (y/n)" Polnareff said and you waved at them
"you two don't look like each other.... She actually has eyebrows" Narancia said and Fugo hit him
"I'm adopted.... But I still consider him my good old brother" you said
"you're going to make me cry so stop it" Polnareff said
"alright, alright" you said
"so Mr. Polnareff is the one you were searching?" giorno asked
"that's correct" you said
"oh, giorno can I tell you something?" Polnareff asked
"of course, what is it?" giorno asked
"remember how I told you that I was also involved with your father's death? You see.... (y/n) right here is your half sister, after dio died I decided to take her in, her other family members protested a bit but they agreed to let me raise her as my sister since dio had recruited the man that killed my sister years ago.... I also needed some company with me because I didn't have any family left in France" Polnareff said
"my half sister?" giorno asked and Polnareff nodded
"I was shocked as well" you said, then your phone rang, it was the person who helped you
"yes?" you said as you answered the phone
"you're dead" Jotaro said
"........... Why?" you asked
"because you left without saying where you were going!!! YOU'RE ONLY 15 AND YOU LEFT THE COUNTRY AND WENT WERE?!?!? ALL THE WAY TO ITALY?!?" Jotaro yelled, everyone heard him yell, then Polnareff took the phone
"Jotaro she's safe here don't worry, she came over to find me, I still don't know how but she found me" Polnareff said
"Polnareff? Where were you all these years?!? Why did you disappear?" Jotaro asked
"I was searching for the requiem stand arrow and I found it here in Italy but the mafia boss had me cornered so I got stuck here and I couldn't communicate with you all, just recently I was able to freely get out without being scared of my life..... But I'm not the same as before" Polnareff said
"what do you mean?" Jotaro asked
"well.... I'm missing an eye and two legs, nothing too serious" Polnareff said and you facepalmed
"you Call that nothing too serious?" Jotaro asked
"sorry.... I may not physically be the same but my attitude is how you remember it!" Polnareff said and Jotaro chuckled
"alright... But I need to speak to (y/n) about dio and the fact that she has a half brother there in Italy" Jotaro said
"oh, I told her about everything, I happened to meet giorno as well, he's a very nice young fella, (y/n) met him as well, though they didn't really have the chance to talk because you called" Polnareff said
"it's good to hear that they met each other and that giorno isn't like dio, you two should wait there, I'll come over tomorrow" Jotaro said, after that they spoke for a bit and then hang up
"what did he say" you asked
"he told me to tell you to be prepared for a scolding and maybe he'll chase you around a bit" Polnareff said and you sighed you dread what waits for you tomorrow.
