"Kai Chisaki, the young head of a formerly prominent Yakuza group, was arrested for the abduction and confinement of a young girl, and hero in training. As police transported him, however, they were attacked by the League of Villains, as well as an unknown assistant."
"Venom what did you do?" Rin questioned the simbyote inside of her as the news continued. The blurry figure in the dash cam photo, seemed way to familiar for her liking. The inky black head forming over her shoulder.
"Hey! We had revenge to repay, and I took the chance. He was too close to let it pass up."
Rin stared at the T.V. For a bit then her attention turned down towards the ground. Her body adorned with her UA uniform instead of a hospital gown. Being one of the people who could be released from the hospital that day.
"Any word from Riot yet?" Venom was slightly startled by her question and his smile turned down.
"I haven't found him anywhere...Do you-...do you think, Eri's quirk might have-"
"No it's impossible to erase Riot from existence." Rin said sternly, trying to convince herself.
"But what if it did? Eri's quirk rewinds people. We're a part of you so, let's say it rewinded your body to a time it didn't have Riot. Where would he go? Shuterusu is dead, no one else could bond with him."
"What about a temporary host?"
"Fine, let's indulge this theory that he was just separated from you. Why would he chose anyone else if you were standing right there?"
Rin had tears threatening to fall, eyelids closing and pushing them over the edge. Finally accepting fact. Lifting her newly formed arm and glaring at it.
"Gave up Riot for a damn arm...I'll miss his jokes." Venom noticed her sad look hardening his look and smiling again.
"So what if he's gone? We still have him in our memories...at least the good parts. And, did you forget all the fun we had before getting him? What about those?"
"Heh. Yeah you're right." Rin smiled. However that soon turned to a serious look. Her eyes looking out the window and off into the distance. "But I still have something to do."
From outside the hospital, a single window opened itself. A figure jumped out the window and caught them-self by extending a black tendril into the building. Swinging to the side and heading off into a certain direction.
They continued through the city, looking around like she was looking for someone. Anyone on the ground, wouldn't see her, or be too slow to look up. In a surprisingly quick time, she made it to a large river. Finally spotting the person she was looking for. Landing on the ground right next to a tree.
The tree being placed right next to a park bench. One with a woman sitting on it. She had blond hair in pigtails and a pink dress, crying. However something was off with the woman, she had a stubble. Rin felt grief wash over her as she took slow steps towards the lady.
"Excuse me, do you know a woman named Kenji Hikiishi? She was a part of the League of Villains." Rin asked and got the woman's attention. She wiped the tears off her face and looked at the dual haired girl with a glare.
"So, what of it?" She asked in a gruff voice. Surprised at what happened next. Rin was on her knees, bowing in front of her.
"I'm so sorry. I was there." Rin whimpered. The woman's eyes widened and knew what she was implying. "I could have saved her- no I should have saved her...but-" Rin was cut off by the buff woman kneeling to the ground with Rin and tightly hugging her.
"Why are you apologizing?" The woman asked while crying a bit. This was the first person that comforted her about the loss of Big Sis Mag.
"Just because she was a villain doesn't mean she didn't have loved ones." Rin explained. The woman tightened her arms around the girl. Somehow more tears started streaming down her face.
'Kenji told me about this Rin girl, how the LOV wanted her to become a strong villain. But she's becoming a hero, and thinking from the villain's point of view. I can't wait to see her hero years.' She thought and cried a bit harder. Most heroes would just think of her best friend as a casualty. But this girl is thinking of her as a human. Not some villain who's done bad things in her past.
"Thank you. Truly. You have no idea how much I appreciate this." The woman cried. Rin patted her back in comfort.
"Anything to help."
Meanwhile, on the ground floor of the hospital. Midoriya, Aizawa, and Recovery Girl we're watching the news, waiting for everyone else to go. Unknown to them, that Rin wasn't in the building. Midoriya worriedly looked at the T.V which was also on the news channel.
"It isn't something you should feel responsible for." Aizawa started. Noticing his student's look. "Please try not to blame yourself."
"Yeah okay." Wow, that was such a great response.
"Good news is, most everyone's headed back to class, including Rin. Apparently, she woke up during Nighteye's passing. The doctors wanna monitor Togata a little while longer. But Recovery Girl was able to completely heal the rest of the students involved in the raid. They're gathering their things now."
"I'll stick around a little while longer and heal a few more patients since I'm here." Recovery girl commented while sliding out of the chair she was previously sitting in.
"I'll stay too. I want to be here for Eri whenever she wakes up." Midoriya offered.
"I'm afraid she's still too dangerous for that. Right now, we need to trust that the doctors will help her." Aizawa turned down.
"Yeah, I get that, but I was hoping I could..."
"She'll be fine." Aizawa insisted with a caring voice. Understanding Midoriya's reason as to see the little girl.
"Okay, then. I wanna see Togata before I leave, though. I'll be right back. Please watch my stuff." With that, Midoriya was jogging towards Mirio's room. Leaving his back and costume case sitting on the chair Recovery Girl was once on. Aizawa being too late to interject.
In another room. Nejire straitened out her uniform and stepped out her room. On her way to see how Rin is doing.
Outside the building and some distance away. Rin was using her tendrils to swing back, hoping no one noticed she was gone.
Nejire's steps echoed in the halls.
A little kid pointed up excitedly on the street trying to get his mother's attention. Upset that she didn't see the dual haired girl flying through the air.
Rin's hospital door was in sight.
The hospital itself could be seen.
Nejire slowly opened the door.
Rin stoped herself with a tendril on the side of the building.
The girl with periwinkle hair finally opened the door fully.
Revealing the dual haired girl she was looking for, tying her long hair back into a low ponytail. Rin's light blue eyes drifted towards the door in mild surprise.
"Oh, hey Nejire."
"Rin! I'm so happy to see you again." She emphasized, skipping forward. Standing right in front of the girl that just finished tying her hair back.
"It is great to be back." Rin smiled.
"What was it like being kidnapped? Did he hurt you? How did your hair grow longer?" Nejire asked, not knowing which question to ask first.
"Strange, no, and I'll explain the hair thing another time." Rin said simply. She presented her hand forward for a handshake. "Thanks for the save. Seriously, you have no idea."
Nejire was confused but accepted the awkward handshake. Once she was holding Rin's hand, a tug pulled her forward. Rin's arm wrapped around her shoulders in a thankful hug. Nejire slowly raised her arms up and wrapped them around Rin's torso.
"Thank you." Nejire smiled into Rin's shoulder. They finally parted and Rin picked up her old clothes she wore the whole time at Overhaul's base. "I wanna say goodbye to Mirio and Eri before leaving."
"Okay. I'll meet you outside." Nejire followed Rin, side by side out the door. Waving each other goodbye as they walked separate ways. As Rin walked down the hall, she remembered something.
"Hey Venom, you didn't disagree to that hug. Are you going good?" Rin asked playfully. Venom forming out her shoulder like a lightning bolt.
"Good?...Me?...Did you forget who I am?"
"Then why didn't you fight against the hug?" Rin asked playfully. Venom ten noticed a cart up ahead with multiple cleaning liquids on them. A tendril quickly swung forward and knocked it over. Spilling all the contents over the floor.
"See, no good."
"Pick that up, this is a hospital."
"Sorry."
Multiple tendrils escaped Rin's side as she moved over to walk past the mess. Two tendrils placing the cart right side up, one for each bottle or utensils dropped, and two holding rags. This two were wiping up any spilt liquid. Completing the task fast enough for Rin to not walk that far past it. Venom didn't realize his comply to the task.
"And another thing! Good simbyotes wouldn't want to decapitate every- here you go ma'am."
Venom interrupted his rant to pick up a pair of glasses that fell out of a lady's purse. Placing them back into her purse so she wouldn't be scared of the black tendril.
"-Everyone's heads clean off their shoulders. Or the fact that- careful."
He interrupted himself once again when passing by a supply closet. Making a tendril gently tap to stabilize the wobbly tower of bed sheets a nurse was having trouble with.
"-That every sentence of mine has to have a curse word. And lastly, I have ZERO sympathy for others. Nada."
As he was finishing that sentence, they passed by a woman who was crying outside a hospital room. Clear that something bad has happened to whoever was inside. One single tendril quickly traveled all the way back to the cart, grabbing a single tissue. Traveling back to place it on the woman's arm. She quickly realized it and used the fabric to wipe her tears. Trying to puller herself together with that one tissue.
Rin smiled over her shoulder, seeing everything he did. Of course, Venom didn't realize anything.
"Whatever you say." The dual haired girl agreed. Not wanting to crush the simbyotes's ego with pointing out his good deeds.
