I woke up feeling so refreshed I went to run myself a Bath and laid in the bath reliving yesterdays moment with nkosi at the acrobranch the happiest I've been in years he truly makes me happy but I still don't know what's happening between us
I came out of the shower and went pick an outfit for myself since I was going to work it's a Monday back to work I went to my walk in closet and took out a solid rib knit dress with a belt
I took the keys to my range rover the white one this was my favourite car I own like 4 SUV's my phone rang downstairs I rushed down the stairs with my heels
I first checked the caller ID and "4lyfer❤️"
Flashed on my screen
Me:"hello"
Naledi:"hey"
I voice was down
Me:"hey love you okay what's wrong don't tell it's Sanele"
Naledi:"I'm sorry "
I heard her sniffing clearly she is crying
Me:"what happened nale I'm getting worried "
Naledi:"senzo and andile got shot this morning"
My heart started beating fast I felt world crumbling my two friends
Me:"how ? Are they okay ?"
Naledi:"Senzo is still fighting for his life the doctor said the chances of him surviving are 10% "

The phone slipped from my hands and fell to the floor I stared at nothing and also crushed down to the floor
Andile was like my best friend I loved him but not in a couple way he was like a brother to me and now the person I was close to the most is dead he's gone .....why is life so unfair
After hours of crying still sitting in that same position I picked my phone from the floor and called my boss since I was the general counsel
Fortunately the company landline was busy so I just sent him and email telling him I won't be available for the couple of days my trial case was postponed for next month I went upstairs to pack my suitcase

The day of the funeral
Yesterday evening we flew down to Durban since Andile was going to be buried with his mother and dad in mthwalume
Today it is the day of the funeral all the girls came to bury Andile he was like a brother to us all nobody didn't enjoy his company but I could say he was more fond of me haha
Sbongile :"I can't believe we going to bury Andile today "
Michelle:"he was always the one that told us we were gonna die before him "
Me:"that he was gonna live till 100 as if he gets to have a say when he dies"
Mbali:"he was the best at giving love advices especially because he had a thing for one of us "

We all dressed up for the funeral we looked so beautiful if Andile was here he would want us to Rock this we looked beautiful no one would say we were going to a funeral.
Nkosiyabo,Thando,Sanele ,Manqoba and Zweli were coming to the funeral to support we needed them here I'm suspecting something between thando and Michelle but hey you never know

We had booked at sea cottage in mthwalume it was not that far from Andiles home

We went inside the stretch tent Andile had life insurance everything was well organized
The first thing that caught my eyes was his coffin the fact that he was inside crushed me so much I felt hot liquid slide down my cheeks and somebody wiping them I figured it was nkosi since I smelt his cologne intoxicating me I really loved him scent
We went to sit on the Tiffany chairs in the second row me ,nkosi then zweli next to phiwo then Michelle next to thando behind in the second row it was sanele with naledi and sbongile with mbali and ezenkosi and manqoba with khanyi
The programme started Andile's uncle stood and went to the staged pulpit
Uncle:"umm next we have an eulogy from a very special to Andile I know she still is zenande Ndlovu"
I looked at nkosiyabo just looking at his smile gave me joy and peace I stood up and went to the stage
Me:"my heart wishes to say good evening but there's nothing good about this day or this evening yesterday I sat long hours planning a speech to say as goodby as my friend who passed away but no words came to mind because I'm not ready to say goodbye Andile Makhanya was like a brother to me I met him in high school at earnest college we became friends since grade 8 he is one of the people that would have took a bullet for me without thinking twice life is so unfair for taking such a treasure in my life I loved him so much and he loved me too I know to him (laughs) I was more like a girlfriend than a best friend he was one of the people that were there during my darkest days who ever messed with me messed with him
I turned to face his coffin beside me
Me:"Andile I know you can hear me up from heaven you have been a special person one thing I'm happy and thankful about is being part of your journey thank you for having an impact and effect in my life this is not exactly a good way to say goodbye I wish to hear you call me zenny girl one last time I wish and yearn for your never ending tickles that make me cry I even miss your laughs I never knew I could miss someone so deeply but here we are you will be on my mind and heart always death may have taken you away from me but it could never take away our memories, the deepest gift you could ever give me time for me to go now we won't say goodbye look for me in the rainbows "
Tears were spiralling out of my eyes I didn't try wiping them away I want to wail so loudly but I can't

When I was done I went to his coffin and laid my hand And said my last words
Me:"my tears are saying what my words cannot catch you in the other side my dearest loved one "
I went back to my seat and laid my chest on nkosiyabo who just kept brushing my back till the programme was over
We all rose up from our seats and it was time to go to the burial site I checked the time and it was already 13:46 when we went to the cemetery close to his home
The pastor said a few words and his mother finally the moment I have been dreading I sat at the front row with the girls
I watched his coffin go down and that's when it all sunk in that I'm never going to see his face again I bursted into a loud sound burying a loved one isn't easy
Phiwokuhle's POV
I have never been one to be too emotional and cry infront of people but as I sat in the front row and watched his coffin go down my heart crumpled and I felt like a part of me went with him I broke down tears rolling down my cheeks
The man that has been through it all with me pulled me to his arms I don't know why but I felt safe in his arms a stranger I met at the beach a week ago has been my support system he has been handling this grief thing with me
Me:"whyyyyy whyyyy zweli why ?"
Zweli:"everything is going to be okay we will get through this his time had already come "
Me:"he was too you g he had his whole life ahead of him "
Zweli:"I don't know baby but I know that everything happens for a reason his at a peaceful and safe place"
Me:"I know I know but it wasn't --"
I just sobbed I'm his arms he didn't even care that I was ruining his tuxedo with my tears
Zweli:"I'm here for you phiwo don't shut me out let it all out "
Me:"thank you you didn't have to do all this but you did "
Zweli:"anything for you Mrs Zondo"
I just held on to zweli while the choir kept singing that' was a way of biding their last good bye to Andile I looked at his picture one last time
Mbalenhle's POV
Nobody deserves death not even the baddest and evil people in the world because them like other people have loved ones people that hurt through their struggles
I rose up from my seat to pour sand into Andiles grave as a way of saying goodbye it took everything in me to rise up from that seat the fact that senzo could be next tortured me emotionally I took a handful of sand and said my last words to him
Me:"for those who love with their heart and soul there is no seperation "
Naledi's POV
Tough times don't last only tough people do I learnt that today as I stood up from my seat to pour sand in his grave my last goodbye to Andile a best friend and loving soul I went to say my last words to him
Me:"until we meet again "
The choir sang the last song to lay him to rest my heart was touched I was satisfied u had said my last goodbyes
I took sanele's hand and entertwined it with mine I was grateful he was with me when one door closes another one opens another one closes Andile will always live on in our hearts
