Laurance had always been a soccer player, ever since he was a kid.
Soon enough he'd fallen in love with the game and promised himself to always play, maybe even play professionally. Well... that didn't exactly work out, as you can see.
The day following Garroth and Kim's successful date had been reserved for an ultimate soccer match between those who could actually play.
Laurance, Kasey, Aaron, Garroth, Vylad and Dante all agreed to play, holding a small yet competitive game of three against three.
Laurance, Kasey and Vylad teamed up with Laurance as captain, and Aaron, Dante and Garroth on the opposing team, Aaron being elected as the captain.
Travis volunteered to act as referee, just as everyone else cheered on from the bleachers of the field. All except Zane who didn't want to.
Travis happily blew his grey whistle and the fame began. Aaron's team, the A team, seemingly had the upper hand since two-thirds of the team were werewolves, except Dante.
Fortunately, the B team (standing for brunettes and bluenettes), were skilled and had been trained to play.
As the game suspended and draw on, more and more people came to spectate. The majority of them were female, fawning over the sweaty players, having fun and shooting trash talk back and forth.
The match crawled on, as one team scored.
The other did too.
The game was cut down into two halves but the B team managed to score twenty-six goals, while the A team scored twenty-one.
Concluding the game, Travis blew off a long whistle and the players shook each other's hands.
Coming back to their friends and partners, they were welcomed with hugs and congratulations.
Cadenza, Remmi and Nana had whisked up the ice cream, as well as milkshakes for the gang, once they headed back home.
