I am not going to beat around the bush in admitting that...
I AM LATE!
I took my sweet time to get ready and now I am stuck in the traffic. Frankly, this is not the time when traffic usually starts, but today it was my lucky day! One truck much ahead on the road decided that it's a great time to get stuck in the middle of the way. For god's sake this is just a lane not highway that the driver decided to take 'U' turn!
Previously, I was 'daddy's little princess' in his eyes and now I will also be 'Commissioner's unpunctual daughter'.
Just great! Just perfect!
I am adding more to the decorative titles he has been giving me. And I am not proud of it!
"Signorina, may I know where you want to go?" A traffic inspector knocked on my window and asked.
"Sandra Rossi Hotel." I said while smiling.
"It is just around the corner. The traffic will not be clearing for a good time. I would advise you to walk till there if you are getting late." He said and I nodded.
"Sure, but how do I park my car?" I looked at the from and back and there is no way I will be able move the car.
"When the vehicles move a bit there is a turn on the left you can park it if it also not jammed." He said making me pout. If I wait more he will leave for US.
"Umm... Do you know Commissioner Santorini?" I asked him.
"Yes... He is a great man!" I smiled proudly on his words.
"He is my father. I will call him and he will send someone to take the car. Would you park the car till then?" I asked. What? I can make use of my father's good deeds! It's not a crime.
"Signorina..." He was hesitating probably not believing me. So I called Dad in front of him.
"Hell,o Dad!" I said as he picked up.
"What's the order? Your highness!" He said sensing the urgency in my tone.
"Dad... Can you please send a driver? I am stuck in the traffic and I might get late for an important meeting." I said.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"Sandra Rossi Hotel." I said while the traffic inspector was looking at me keenly.
"Ohh... But he is married darling." He said making me frown. The traffic inspector was looking at me keenly.
"I know, I am just meeting him for discussion about the event." I said.
"I don't want you to get more hurt and others too. You will not meet him after this if you value our relation. I will send someone to pick the car. Jokes apart, I am serious this time." He said and hung up on me. Never did something like this ever happened between my Dad and me. I felt as if I need a good cry.
I nodded, if Dad so wants then I will not meet him after this event.
I nodded and waited for someone to arrive for the car.
"You are not going, Signorina?" The traffic inspector who was still standing at the same spot asked.
"Dad is sending someone for the car." I said and smiled.
"Okay... If you need help you can ask for me." He said and I nodded gratefully.
Finally, after few minutes of waiting one subordinate of Dad's office came and cleared the traffic.
"Signorina, your Dad said that you keep the car parked here as it will be required for your return. The truck has been towed now so you can go ahead." He said and left making me sigh.
I hastily parked my car in hotel parking lot and went inside.
The receptionist knew me obviously as we host our events here so she smiled at me.
"Hello, Bella." I said while smiling.
"Hi Francessa. Are you here to meet boss?" She asked politely.
"Yes." I said.
"Please go to top floor and you will see his office. But let me warn you, he is agitated that you are late." I sighed and nodded at her.
I went towards the elevator and waited for it to come down. I stepped in as soon as it came down and pressed 26th floor button.
After a few minutes it dinged and the door opened revealing the man himself. He who is not leaving my mind even for a second.
"You are late!" He said as he pulled me out of the elevator.
"Yes, I was stuck in heavy traffic near the lane. Were you going somewhere? We can postpone the meeting if you are." I said as I already wasted enough of his time.
"No... But I have flight in few hours." He said and we didn't realize that we were holding each other. Hesitantly, I removed my hand from his upper arm.
And he did the same.
"Then you must leave. Here sometimes unnecessary traffic comes up." I said and it hurt that he is going there to take his wife. That this man, the only man who reached at certain level in my eyes is not reachable.
"We have to discuss and it is important." He said as he went ahead to go in his cabin.
"But we have already discussed everything." I said while pointing out the fact, which I obviously ignored when I previously agreed for this meeting. But the call with my father has set my mind on the right track. I can never be other woman in anyone's life.
What I don't understand is how I started falling for him in such fast pace!
Maybe because you are getting old?
My subconscious had to butt in.
I don't look like I am aging! So nobody knows what is my age just by looking at me.
But God knows!

"Fine. Then if everything is already discussed then there is no need for this meeting. I will go and bring Stella here by the day of opening ceremony." He said while looking at me and I nodded. Stella... His wife?
"Alessandro!" Just then the door opened and a beautiful lady stepped in.
"Stella?" His wife!
