56. What if you ended up getting very injured and you got into a coma? (age 5)
It's been a year since you started living with the others, so far it's been so great.
One day you were playing at the park, you had all decided to go and have a picnic, there you also made some friends.
"can I go and play with the other kids?" you asked Jonathan
"of course you can, but be careful" he said and you nodded
Hours passed and you were still playing, at some point the ball fell and you run to get it, when you picked the ball up you looked to your right and you saw a car turn the corner coming full speed towards you, you couldn't react fast and you got hit.
The others where talking and laughing when they heard people screaming
"what happened?" Joseph asked and everyone got up, while they got closer Jonathan had this bad feeling and when he saw who got hit his heart dropped to his stomach
"(Y/N)!!!!!" he screamed as he run towards you, he was horrified when he saw you bleeding from your head and when he saw your hand and leg being in a so not natural twisted position
"the ambulance will be here very soon" a parent announced. The driver got out and he was clearly drunk
"get your fucking kid out of the way, we have places to go" the man said, oh this angered Jonathan a lot, he got up, grabbed the man by the collar of his shirt and slammed him on the car
"YOU HIT MY CHILD WITH YOUR CAR AND YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO TALK LIKE THAT?!?!? THE ONLY PLACES YOU'LL BE GOING IS JAIL AND HELL!!" Jonathan yelled, soon after that the ambulance and the police arrived, they took you in the ambulance and they arrested the guy.
Everyone got in the car and they followed the ambulance, when everyone arrived there they got out of the car and followed the doctors as they rushed you in the hospital, at some point they stopped Jonathan and told him to stay there, he tried to force his way in but many doctors held him back, then Joseph and Jotaro dragged him to take a seat.
"if the police wasn't there I would of beat that guy up!" Jonathan said, the others understood that he was hurting right now.
They waited for hours and hours for an update, they went to the hospital in the morning and now it was night, soon a doctor came out and Jonathan immediately rushed to him
"what happened? Is she alright?!?" Jonathan asked.
"the surgery was a success...." the doctor said but something wasn't right.
"you're not telling us something, what happened?" Jonathan asked
"she was put into a coma but we don't think she'll wake up any time soon...... Or if she'll wake up at all, we're sorry" the doctor said and he then left, everyone was left shocked and hurt.
After a while they got you out of the room and when Jonathan saw you he started sobbing, you had a cast on one of your arms and legs, your head was wrapped in bandaids and you were covered in bruises.
Meanwhile you were in a nice place, it was like a comfortable home, and outside the house was a beautiful garden, you looked around the house and you were alone, when you got back to the living room you looked outside and saw your father, you smiled brightly and went to go out.
"wait don't come out!" he said and you stopped
"why not?" you asked with a sad face
"because if you come out here in the garden there's no going back, you'll be stuck forever in this garden" he said
"forever? Can't you come in here?" you asked him
"I'm afraid I can't, but we can always play games, but you'll be in there and I'll be out here" he said
"how will this work?" you asked
"we can throw a ball at each other or play board games but we need to place it in the middle of the inside and the outside" he said and you nodded
"can we play something now?" you asked him and he nodded, you run and went to get a game, when you got it you came back
"what's this game?" he asked.
"that's monopoly, I'll explain how you can play it" you said and you started explaining, he nodded as he understood what you were saying, and after the explaining you two began to play
"dio? Where are you, you useless man, go and find me some booze" you both heard Dario say, dio growled as it was the first time he heard of him in a while
"papa what's booze?" you asked dio
"it's nothing and don't repeat that word ever again" he said and you nodded, Dario came into view and saw you two playing
"why are you playing with a brat?" Dario asked and Dio got angry
"don't talk about my daughter like that!!!" dio yelled as he got up
"papa stop! Don't fight" you said and he sighed
"you're going to listen to a brat instead of your father? How low can you go? She doesn't even look like you, she's probably not even your daughter" Dario said and he laughed, you looked down and Dio got angry, he grabbed Dario and dragged him away
"can you close your ears?" a blonde man with a scar on his face asked and you nodded and closed your ears, you couldn't hear what was going on but the face that man made it seemed like something bad was happening, after a while your father came back and you uncovered your ears.
"what are you doing here you blonde moron?" dio asked
"papa that wasn't nice!" you said
"yeah dio, that wasn't nice, listen to your daughter" speedwagon said and Dio growled and then huffed
"let's continue with our game" dio told you and you nodded and you continued playing
"aren't we going to talk that she's here with us? Or should I say almost here?" speedwagon asked and Dio looked at him and he then looked at you
"..... How did you get here?" dio asked you
"I don't remember...... Oh I remember!! We were on a picnic and I was playing with some kids, when I went to take the ball a car suddenly appeared and before I could react it hit me" you said
"so.... She's dead?" speedwagon asked
"what? No, the house she's in is like she's in her mind, the garden we're in is something outside her body, so she's still alive..... Look what you've done! You scared her!!" dio yelled at speedwagon
"the others must be very worried" you said as you looked down
"the others? Who?" dio asked
"holly, suzie, Joseph and Jotaro.... Oh! And my friend too" you said
"oh.... So you're staying with them" he said, you could clearly see that he didn't like them
"going back to our other conversation, in other words she's in a coma? If she is how will she leave?" speedwagon asked
"can't you see that door right there? It says to wait for it to open and she can go" dio said as he pointed at a door that had locks on it, speedwagon just said oh and left.
Meanwhile with the others, weeks passed and Jonathan was every second with you, holding your hand and praying for you to come back, he would often cry at night while holding your hand, you could hear it but you didn't know what it was going on
You rubbed your ears and Dio looked at you
"is something wrong?" he asked
"someone is crying and they won't stop" you said, he was confused until he looked at the door and saw one of the locks dropping down on the floor, he knew that soon you'll be able to get out of your coma.
While being stuck in a coma and in your head, you met many people, two of them were your friend's parents, they were so surprised to hear that Jonathan was around you
"and I made this ring for him and it made him visible to people that are not his family" you said and they nodded, they were surprised to know that you were their half granddaughter.... Also George had a little talk with dio but dio told him he didn't regret doing anything.
You also met Jonathan's wife, she's very nice and she told you many stories of him, you also met his son, he's just like him.
Oh! And you also met your grandmother, Dio's mother, she's a very nice woman, she's not proud of Dio's actions but she adores you
While you had a great time everyone was very sad and anxious about your health, it's been two months and you still showed no signs of waking up
But now you could hear what was going on
"so what happened today? Anything new?" dio asked
"my friend is sad... Very sad, he's the one who's been crying every night non stop, I heard him beg for me to wake up" you said as you looked down
"if you really want to wake up then it'll happen" dio said
"I really want to wake up but I want to stay here as well" you said
"this can't happen, you'll go back to the living world, you won't stay here with us the dead people" he said and you looked down and nodded
When you reached five months of being in a coma, you had already made progress.
You were playing with the others football, they were outside and you were inside when suddenly the door opened.
"oh.... It means she must go" speedwagon said
"I can go back?" you asked and they nodded, you all said your goodbyes but before you left dio told you that for a couple of months everyone will have a hard time but everything will be fine again, you waved at them and went to walk through the door, you paused and then turned to them.
"I don't want to go" you said as tears blurred your vision
"(y/n) you must go" dio said, you stayed still for a while and then started running towards them, they were yelling for you to go back and wake up, you ignored them and you got outside and hugged them.
Everyone suddenly heard beeping and they looked around.
"I don't want to go" you cried in Dio's arms.
"papa! What's happening!?!?" you heard holly yell
"Joseph call the doctors!! Quickly!!" suzie yelled.
"(y/n) go back! They're worried about you!" speedwagon said
"what's going on?!? (y/n)!!! Don't leave, hold on for a bit!!" you heard Jonathan say
"out of the way!!" some doctors yelled
You felt your body jerk and after a few seconds it did it again, but the beeping didn't stop.
Dio sighed and picked you up and walked towards the house
"I don't want to leave... Please" you told dio
"your friend needs you, you need to go" dio said, he let you down and lightly pushed you in the house, when you entered the house you were immediately sucked towards the door and everything went black.
The others waited for you to wake up and when you did they started crying from happiness.
"thank God you're okay!" Jonathan said as he hugged you, everyone took turns hugging you but something seemed off, they understood when you talked.
"who are you all?" you asked.... To say the least everyone was heartbroken
"you don't remember us? It's me your friend Jonathan, and these are your other friends" he said as he pointed at the others
"I don't remember anyone of you..... I don't remember anything" you said, the doctor that was there run some tests and of course told the others that you had amnesia, but your memories will be back soon, he also told them to tell you little by little stories of you when you were growing up in hopes of remembering, you stayed at the hospital for a few weeks and after that you left for home
"this is your room, and that's your favorite teddybear, oh and those are your favorite books" Jonathan said as he showed you around your room
"Jonathan.... Let her rest, remember what the doctor said" holly said and Jonathan nodded, he had a very sad face.
Everyday little by little they would tell you stories of when you were little and up to now, your favorite things, they also told you who they were and that your parents were dead in hopes of you to remember but it didn't happen
As they realized that a month passed but you didn't remember anything they got worried, but that worry stopped one day
You had woken up one day and you went to eat breakfast
"good morning (y/n)" holly said
"good morning Holly" you said and she handed you your breakfast
The others soon joined for breakfast as always, you had to tell them that somehow you remembered.
"does anyone know where my lucky bracelet is? I lost it a while ago" you said and they looked at you
"the one you lost a year ago?" Jonathan asked and you nodded, he was shocked.
"you remember?!?" he asked and you nodded again, he hugged you as he cried, everyone was very happy and hugged you while they cried from happiness, you all continued eating dinner, this time happily
"I also remember what was going on while I was in a coma" you said they looked at you
"what do you mean?" Jonathan asked
"I was in a house, it represented my mind, and there was this door that was locked with many locks, if I wanted to get out of the coma the locks had to be unlocked on their own and when the door opened I could walked through there and wake up" you said
"that's..... Interesting" Jonathan said
"yeah, the house also had a garden, if I got outside the house then I couldn't return, this represented my soul exiting my body" you said, they were a bit horrified
"how do you know that?" Jonathan asked
"papa told me" you said
"wait..... Dio told you?" Jonathan asked and you nodded
"outside the garden where many dead people, they all knew each other but most of them hated papa for some reason, I also met papa's parents! His father was ugly and mean, his mom was very pretty and nice.... Oh! And I was also introduced to your friends and family, they were very nice.... But no one could enter the house and I couldn't go out" you said
"my friends? And family too?" he asked and you nodded
"wait... So when you were slowly dyi-" Jotaro began but Jonathan cut him off
"we're not talking about that!" Jonathan said and Jotaro continued eating
"when I was slowly dying I went outside the house.... I didn't want to leave" you said as you looked down
"what changed your mind?" Joseph asked
"everyone... Especially papa, he picked me up and put me in the house and then everything went black, and then I woke up" you said
"he did it because he wanted you to live, you were to young to go" holly said and you nodded
"I really wanted to stay with them, I met so many nice people, like your friends! And my grandma!" you said
"your grandma?" Jonathan asked
"yeah, she's very nice, unlike grandpa, he's very mean to papa, he even called me names, but papa took him away, I didn't hear what happened but by the face your friend made it was bad.... Papa looks a lot like grandma, and grandma told me so many stories of him from when he was a baby" you said..... Now was the chance
"like what?" Jonathan asked
"papa loved playing with her hair, he also believed in Santa until he was 8, everyone knows Santa isn't real, he also loved cooking and baking with her... Oh! And he was what grandma called him' mama's boy'" you said and some of them laughed
"wow, he was actually nice?" Joseph asked and he laughed
"also everyone up there really miss you" you told Jonathan
"I miss them as well" Jonathan said with a smile
"they were asking lots of questions about you, and you" you told Jonathan and Joseph
"they did?" Joseph asked and you nodded
"that's nice to hear, we'll ask you what you guys said later, now we're happy that you remembered" Jonathan said as he hugged you
