Hunters pov
(its the next day and hunter is at home now)
"Hunter you keep zoning out, is everthing alright?"
"I- yeah im just thinking."
"About?..."
I felt my face heat up a little "Edric."
"Oh?" Eda grinned, "You got a crush on him or somthing?"
"What? No! I just- Um no i dont."
Eda raised an eyebrow at me.
"Im serious!"
Before she could interrogate me futher there was a knock at the door.
Eda walked over and opened it.
"hey! Uh its me steve! Is hunter here?..." Steve said with a wave.
"Steve you made it out!" I smiled, "How did you find us?"
"All the gaurds know where the owl house is, yall would be dead by now if it wasent for hooty." Steve said.
"Well dont just stand outside." Eda said, opening the door wider. "What are you doing here anyway?"
"Just wanted to make sure hunter made it out safe." Steve shrugged, stepping inside "And in case you didnt know Hunter, Belos is still looking for you."
"I know." I said heart sinking.
"You got anywhere to stay?" I dont think your with belos after what you did." Eda commented.
"Ive been camping in a little cave." Steve chuckled, "its not the best but it will do."
"Say- stave was it?-" Eda started.
"Steve."
"Steve. yes, i may have a little proposal for you." Eda said thoughtfully.
"yeah?"
"recently the gaurds broke past hooty, so we need to up our defences. You used to be a gaurd and know all their fighting techniques- you see where im going with this?" Eda said.
"Youll let me stay here if i become your gaurd?" Steve asked.
"You catch on fast." Eda grinned, "If your interested you room is at the end of the hall to the right."
"I apperciate it Owl lady." Steve grinned, "Just let me get my stuff.
