Years after Katipunan was born and nothing has changed at all. From a very young age, Katipunan noticed how much his father- or how he calls him, grandfather, despises him. It was as clear as the bright sunny day that his own father didn't want to acknowledge him as his child, so he stopped referring to him as "father" and called him "grandfather" instead.

But that didn't do much for Philip. He was still stuck in the same old routine. His only fear and concern were that his son would get him pregnant again. However, he didn't consider the wider range of possibilities and ironically, the opposite has happened. Katipunan was already in his pre-adolescence when he received news that his father has gotten pregnant. Philip never knew a greater fear until that day. His son, La Liga, possessed the same abilities to bear children.

Consequently, La Liga was happy with this news and discovery, and so was his father, Spanish Empire. Unironically, Philip was less than pleased. He hated seeing him puke, seeing him crave, and seeing him cry and later burst into fits of laughter. But what he hated most was seeing that bump starting to appear in the second month. During the pregnancy, Philip had the urge to kick him in the stomach or trip him down the stairs, but Spanish Empire always kept him at arm's length.

It seems that the great Empire could sense Philip's violent tendencies and malicious intent towards their son, and soon-to-be Philip's third-born child. So in La Liga's second semester, he was sent to a different castle where he would spend the rest of his pregnancy 'til birth. It was less than ideal for La Liga since he wanted to spend more time with his papa, but his stupid father just had to send him away!

Katipunan was also sent to escort his father La Liga and also help him get through the pregnancy. Katipunan grew up to be quiet and reserved. But he was smart and well-mannered. It looked like every step of each action he makes is well thought of and calculated. He knew many languages such as Spanish, Tagalog, French, and English, but barely spoke at all due to his insufferable stuttering.

Katipunan was also born with a rare genetic trait. No one would know whether or not he was male or female until they see his genitals. He was androgenous in every way and also didn't help the fact that he was shorter than average, even as a teenager he still looked like he was 10 no one would take him seriously. On top of that, he was also always sick and no one knew why. His sickness doesn't seem to affect other people, making him the only one to experience frequent heartburns so painful that sometimes he couldn't even get out of bed.

Months later, when La Liga finally came back with his second son born and introduced to the world, something happened.

Suddenly, Philip, La Liga, Katipunan, and the baby were all sent to SE's office. La Liga also received word that his half brother, Spain, is back. As the four of them entered the room, La Liga was shocked to find his brother sitting on their father's chair instead of SE. La Liga felt his blood boil. "Where's father?! And why are you sitting on his chair!?" La Liga growls. The baby squirmed uncomfortably, so Katipunan took the baby from La Liga's arms. When Gregorio was born, Philip didn't even want to look at him when La Liga was proudly showing him off.

Philip didn't seem fazed that Spain was sitting on SE's chair, in fact, he wore a small smile while they were in the office.

"I took over." Spain simply said. "And as the new ruler, my first command is to send Philip away, and you, in jail with father." Philip let out a small gasp as his eyes sparkled with hope. "Y-y-you can't do that! I won't allow it! This is my and papa's home! I-" Spain puts his hand out, a sign for La Liga to shut up, and he did.
"Correction; this is YOUR home. Philip doesn't belong here. He belongs in his motherland. His real home." La Liga's eyes were red and flooding with tears as he sobbed.

Spain sighs and turns to Katipunan and the baby. "You two, are going with Philip. You're just kids so I wouldn't say that you deserve to be in prison." He said before snapping his fingers at the guards who all escorted them out of Spain's office. "SPAIN YOU BITCH! I'M NOT GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT" La Liga screamed as they were being escorted. Spain sighs as he slumps in his seat. "I hope I did the right thing... Don't worry amor, I'll never put you in harm's way ever again..."

Weeks passed, and Philip, Katipunan, and Gregorio rode a ship escorted by Spanish guards to the Philippines. Philip couldn't help but anticipate every moment of it. Every morning you'd see him running out of his room to look out of the ship to see where they are. One of the guards found this adorable and would always tell him where they are to kill his curiosity. Katipunan also noticed his grandfather's excitement and couldn't help but be a little excited too. If this place is making Philip feel all giddy and excited, then it's probably a good place. After all, Philip's not easy to impress. At least, that's what Katipunan thinks.

When they arrived at the port, the guards escorted them out, Philip looked around and felt overwhelmed by how different his home has become. Then again, he's been gone for over 300 years.

"Philip?"

Philip turns to his right and gasps at the sight of his cousin. "Manila!" He yelled as he runs up to him to hug him tightly. He thought the rest of his family had been murdered. "I'm...so glad that you're alive..." Philip sobbed. His throat felt dry and coarse. This is the first time in 300 years that he's spoken this much that his pronunciations are a little bit slurry. "Yeah..." Manila smiled and hugs Philip back. Returning the same tight hug that Philip is giving him.

Katipunan felt his heart soften at the sight. He's never seen his grandfather this happy. Something tells him that everything will be alright.
"Come on, your house is waiting for you." Philip's eyes sparkled as he gasps softly once again. "The house is still standing?? I thought they burned it!" Manila laughs, "well, they demolished it, but I had it built again and renovated it to fit the current style of houses today." Philip smiles softly. "That's...nice.." they hopped onto the carriage and started their journey to the new house.

Manila looks at his cousin and sees his sad smile, Manila's heart ached slightly. "So, uhm, did they...treat you well?" Philip shakes his head. "No. I hated every single second of being there." Manila felt his heart shatter for his older cousin. He used to be so bright and full of life... Now it looks like he's had enough of it. "The uhm...house...is in the same place as before. Still facing the beach, only much bigger. I-it has two floors now..! Would you like me to assign maids for you as well?" Manila asked with a nervous smile.

Philip chuckled and shook his head. "That's fine... We can manage.." Manila nods and then looks at Katipunan and Gregorio. "...speaking of which, who are they?" Manila asked. Philip glances at the two and Katipunan couldn't help but anticipate his answer. "They're...my sons..." Philip said with a sad yet bitter tone. Manila's eyes widened. "Did they-?" Philip nods. "Yes. He did." Manila gulps. Gulping down the rage that he feels in his heart. Resisting the urge to rebel and cause chaos in the city.

Philip's side of the family was... eccentric. Instead of women, the men in their family had the capability to bear children. Manila is Philip's cousin from his mother's side. Although his father could bear children too, he decided to marry a woman instead since he was scared of the thought of a child coming out of him.

When they arrived, Philip looked at the house and felt excited yet hurt at the same time. The house he once knew no longer existed and instead is replaced by a new one.  "I'll visit you guys in a week to check in on you, alright?" Manila said with a smile and Philip nodded, returning that same smile. Carrying their pieces of luggage, they went inside the house.

A month passed, and Philip, Katipunan, and Gregorio had gotten used to their new lives. However, Katipunan still had his episodes where he couldn't get out of bed because of his painful heartburns which would lead to Philip having to take care of Gregorio. It was never a pleasant time for Philip, which is why he's asked his cousin to recommend any doctor suitable to help Katipunan and his condition. Medications were prescribed which helped his heart burns be a little more tolerable.

Meanwhile, Philip is still struggling every night. Although it has lessened, Philip's body is still not used to not being touched. It was maddening. And Philip hated himself for needing it.

Philip didn't bother to ask for help. He figured that the best way to go about it is to try and limit himself from doing it in hopes that it would lessen his need for it. And so, it began. The three continued living together for years until Gregorio became a teenager. But by that time, the country has been in an uprising. Someway, somehow, La Liga managed to have connections in the country, he published novels and poems that would soon lead the country into revolution.

But for now, all is good for Philip. Well, as good as it can be. Although he managed to tolerate his craving, his need for it increased even more. Philip kept himself in a separate room, and at least once a week, he'd touch himself for an entire night until he was too tired to do so. A part of him misses SE and La Liga, but he knows he can't go to them.

Philip watched in anticipation as a number of soldiers marched to the Bagumbayan. His heart beats as loud as the sounds of a drum and as fast as a horse. Soldiers paraded in the Bagumbayan along with their prisoner: La Liga. Philip was unaware of what was going on in the world of politics, for the only thing he did was go to markets, cook meals for his children, and stay at home nearly all the time. He was unaware that the country was in an uproar and on the verge of rebelling against their Spanish oppressors.

Philip was overjoyed to see his people finally taking a stand, but at the same time, he was anxious and a little dismayed for the other side. Madrid was his second home since he's lived there for almost all his life. But today, right here, right now, Philip is about to witness the execution of his firstborn son. His son that was the product of his endless torture, and the one who continued it and made his life hell. But also, the father of their two other children.

Philip had mixed feelings. He's happy, he's sad, he's euphoric, he's angry, disappointed, proud, disgusted, and grateful all at the same time.
In the end, Philip stood there with a blank expression as he watches the firing squad aim their guns at his son.

"¡FUEGO!"

"Consummatum Est."

Katipunan softly gasps, his hand on his chest, gripping tightly at his shirt as he watches his father get shot by nearly a thousand bullets. The only man that took care of him when he was a child, the only man who made him feel loved, and the only parent he ever knew, was gone right before his eyes. And his eyes can't stop mourning for his loss. With a shaky voice, Katipunan spoke. "A-adíos, papá..." Gregorio's eyes widened as he stares at his brother, this was the first time in his entire life that he has ever heard his brother speak. Philip glances at Katipunan from the side, he could see waterfalls running down his son's cheeks.

That made Philip's heart sink a little.

When they got home, pre-adolescent Gregorio declared that he would be the one to cook dinner tonight as he could sense the uncomfortable atmosphere between his brother and their "grandfather".

Gregorio looks like a normal kid, but he's quite arrogant and short in stature. He looks like he's not being fed well, but in reality, he's the one who manages to finish an entire cauldron of rice and sometimes even cooks more right after he's done with the first batch. And yet, for some reason, he never seems to be able to gain any weight. Like his brother, he also has speech problems, which he managed to improve because of how talkative he is. In fact, he's the only noise that constantly fills the air of their home.

Philip was surprised to see that Gregorio came out as normal as he could when in comparison to Katipunan, however, he does have some other issues as well, like his weak immunity, meaning he's always sick, and the fact that he's what most people of today would call: a bipolar disorder.

As Gregorio cooked their meal, Katipunan and Philip remained in their rooms. Katipunan continued to grieve for the loss of his father, while Philip didn't know how he feels and instead decided to just sleep on it until Gregorio announces that it was time for dinner.

Katipunan sniffles and wipes his tears away before exiting his room to go to the kitchen. But as he went down the stairs, he could hear muffled noises in his father's room. Katipunan thought nothing of it, thinking it was just his imagination and proceeded to go down the stairs to clean his face and drink a glass of water. Once he was done with that, he went back up the stairs, but as he did, he saw Philip coming down as well. He had bloodshot eyes as if he was crying as well.

Katipunan found this weird, and it seems like Philip didn't even notice him as he was going down. ‘I thought he hated father? Why would he mourn for him?’ Katipunan asked in his thoughts. "Uhm- a-a-are you o-okay?" He asked, which immediately snapped Philip back to reality, he looks at Katipunan, then in the direction of the kitchen. "Come with me, I need to talk to you about something..." Katipunan nodded and followed after his father(whom he still refers to as "lolo").

After Philip was done drinking water and cleaning his face, he and Katipunan sat at the dining table. "Katipunan" Philip called, Katipunan looks up at his father, he had always found him somewhat pretty. "Do you...know?" He asks. Katipunan tilts his head, confused. ‘Know what?’

"Why I hate your father so much?" Katipunan shakes his head, but he has a feeling that whatever Philip is going to tell him, he's not going to like it. "It's because he's my son. He's my son and yet he forced me to go through so much torture and suffering. Heck, he IS the result of my constant suffering." Katipunan didn't understand what his father was saying to him. ‘Does that mean that all the things that he did with father and grandfather were all forced?’

"I didn't want your father. Not because I didn't love him, but because I knew I couldn't let him live in a world like this. That was my initial thought. But then... He took a path I never thought he'd take. For a while, I thought he was there to help me, but then... He.. he made things even worse for me than it already was." Katipunan gulps. His heart is aching. He didn't even know that Philip was La Liga's biological father. He thought he was La Liga's stepfather in the least.

Katipunan is speechless, so much information in so little time. All of it was too hard to process. But, Philip kept going. "I learned to accept it. Just like how I learned to accept my previous situation with the Spanish Empire. I accepted it not because I wanted it, but because I needed it. And every day I'd hate myself more and more because I'd go crazy if I... Didn't do the things we'd usually do. It's filthy, it's disgusting, and it's wrong. But I needed it."

"And then, you came along. You have no idea how much I wanted to get rid of you. How much I wanted to miscarry you. And when I found out La Liga was carrying Gregorio, I wanted to get rid of him too. But I couldn't. Because they wouldn't let me."

Katipunan felt somewhat terrified yet guilty all at the same time. He was scared that maybe his father was planning to kill him right now, but also guilty that his father (La Liga) would do such things to him. He wants to make it up to Philip but doesn't really know how, or if he could even make it up to him.

"With all of that said... I, don't think I could ever consider you or Gregorio to be my children. I'm sorry." Katipunan felt his heart sink. Is Philip disowning them? But, then again, he never really claimed or acknowledged them as his anyway...

"I-I unders-stand..." Katipunan lowered his head, and Philip felt guilty. "I'm not saying I hate you. I don't. You and your brother have nothing to do with this, but I just simply refuse to acknowledge that either of you are my children." Katipunan sniffled, he felt like another batch of tears were beginning to crawl out of the shadows. Philip felt even more guilty now. But it had to be said.

"I-is that w-why you-you some-times do th-these things a-at n-n-night?" Katipunan asked. His stutters get even worse whenever he's overwhelmed by his emotions. Katipunan tried to redirect, to possibly get Philip to ignore how much of a mess he is. "T-things..?" Philip asked, unsure of what Katipunan is asking him. Katipunan sniffles and wipes his tears away, stopping himself from crying further. "I-I hear you... S-sometimes... All- all those mu-muffled noises i-in your room-"

Philip flinches, feeling an overwhelmingly amount of embarrassment as his face turns a deep shade of red. "I-I'm sorry you had to-to hear that-" now it was his turn to stutter. Katipunan shakes his head. "It's o-okay- it doesn't bo-bother me that m-much-" Philip covers his face with his hands. "I-it's because your bo-body got used to it r-right? That's- that's why you b-begun to crave fo-for it a lot?"

Philip felt even more embarrassed and ashamed. "I-I don't really m-mind if it's y-your co-coping mechanism." Now it was Katipunan's turn to feel embarrassed. He doesn't know if it's right to talk to Philip about this kind of thing. And knowing his background, Katipunan still feels guilty. Because, he too, finds his own father attractive. He's starting to think that this is something that runs in their blood.

Philip sighs and stands up from his seat, "we-well... It's time for us to head back to our respective rooms. Goodnight, Katipunan." Katipunan nods, "g-good night..."

.

.

.

.

In the end, Katipunan didn't get to say or do what he wanted to do to Philip, but he thought that it was for the best. However, Katipunan still did what he could to protect and save Philip from despair. So he lead a rebellion. And that rebellion became successful until his inevitable demise.

Philip allowed himself to be somewhat emotional towards Katipunan's death. Meanwhile, Gregorio kept himself quiet. When Katipunan died, it was as if something in him has changed. The only person that has raised and took care of him died. And he blames Philip for it.
