Chapter 6. First Stage.
"New Reborn"
╚═════════════════╝

[Words: 1500]
[Duration: Medium]

Poor soulless creature.
Broken and damaged.
Just like us.
They think it's her, they think it's me, but they don't know how to count us.
Now I can see.
And I can see her.
I have not lost.
I have found a way out.
We don't want to leave.
But we don't want to let him go.
If he runs away, he will fly free.
Free and strong.
And with the flapping of his wings he will do damage.
He reminds me of a chimera.
Agile and fast as a ovine.
Fierce and terrifying like a feline.
Dangerous and poisonous like a ophidian.
With a difference.
It is real.
Open the eyes.
Look at the world around.
This is where we are.
The place to belong.
Now the time that advances has stopped.
I wonder, and she questions me.
Before, there was a belief.
That the angels were scary, that they had a horrible color, that they were frightening and terrifying to look at, in order to scare the demons away.
It was said that the fallen ones from hell looked good, with crystalline skin and shine in their hair, they were small and attractive, so that the most innocent would trust them.
Sometimes the book has to be judged by the cover, by its pages and by its signatures.
He has read you, he tore out your pages, he ruined your ink.
He didn't know how to see you as others saw you.
His red eyes only read between the lines, out of the corner of their eyes they see your words but they don't follow the paragraphs.
You wanted to read him, but you failed.
She will help you, this time you will not fail.
You went too ahead... Why don't you wait for the time to open the door?

Are you lost?
Let me locate you.

The woman opened her eyes.
The cloudy view.
A deafening beeping in her ears.
She sucked in a breath, the oxygen coursing through her lungs.
She expelled smoke along with coughing, expelling blood from her mouth.
Her body flattened itself to the cold ground, dragging her hands and feeling her finger prints on the hard grass beneath her.
Everything was seen in incomprehensible shadows and sounds without distinction.
A stab of pain ran from her chest, through her shoulders, to her head and stopping at her forehead.
She sat on the floor dizzy and with a great desire to vomit her inside through her mouth.
She ran her hand through her hair rubbing hard to ease the pain.
Finally, her eyes adjusted, managing to function again.

- Where am I...? - The woman whispered disoriented.

She looked at the palm of her hand, stained a suspicious crimson.
She blinked for air again wanting to remember what was the last thing that happened.
She closed her eyelids and felt the air gently hitting her back and gently caressing her body.

She saw the monster in front of her.
An horrible being before herself.
Soulless white eyes, sharp claws on one of his hands, a harpoon on the opposite arm, huge jaws that would crush his preys, with dirty gold hue and maroon stains covering his chest, back, claws , and head of it.
It wasn't a monster, not exactly.

- Af..ton? - She managed to remember.

She felt a sharp pang in her chest at the memory of those words.
She brought her hand to her breastbone trying to ease her pain.
When she strangely felt an intruding object in that place, she lowered her eyes to it.
A knife, stabbed in firmly, but no blood came out, not anymore.
The pain was replaced by numbness. It wasn't miserable or powerful, it was annoying and exhausting.

She got up as she could to rip the weapon from her body. Seeing it in her hands.
Why did she have that nailed?
And how was she still alive?

She looked around as images from the past came to her mind.

"Can you hear me?"

She heard a male voice in her head.
She didn't understand, so she decided to ignore it.
Even she had many doubts.

"I guess you can't hear me"

The voice spoke again.
Vanessa sighed looking around her.
It was a forest, which she couldn't remember, only trees and trees were as far as she could see.
Shrubs and some bushes were the difference.
Where the south was, there was the north, the east and the west. The sky covered with clouds illuminated by a moon that tried to bring the light, but was heavily obscured.

- Where am I? - She repeated, panicking.

She turned a circle around herself, everything was the same, she was lost.
Questions like what day it was, how much time had passed, what was that place, had no answer.
Not knowing where to go or where to walk, she dragged her feet shakily in a random direction.

The cawing of crows, the hooting of owls.
The bushes were moved by small mice looking for food.
Was she really awake?
She looked at the knife in her hand.
She should be dead.
Right?

She kept the knife in case it was needed.

"Left"

Murmured the voice in her mind.
Her awareness told her where to go.
So she decided, not very convinced, to obey the instructions.

She walked aimlessly for several minutes.
Soon the forest dissipated into an open field.
There was a road that seemed to lead to a city in the background.
However, not a single car passed by.

The air brushed her skin making her shiver.
A wet chill ran down her spine forcing her to turn around.
There was nothing.

She took a puzzled air.
She looking around her locating.
There was a building set back from the city in the background, down the road.
She decided to approach to ask for help.

She quickened her pace, hugging herself against the cold.
She staggered over to the parking booth.

- Excuse me... - The woman asked for help.

There was no answer.
She looked to see if anyone was there, but it was empty.
Nobody worked there.

She looked at the building, it was big, it looked like a company.
But it was almost in ruins, bad condition and without maintenance.

She approached it walking awkwardly.
She opened the doors without much difficulty, they were already forced, possibly because someone tried to enter earlier.
She walked down the corridor of the place, until she found a more spacious room.

Large tables stacked on one of the walls, chairs on top of each other full of dust.
Torn and wrinkled posters on the floors.
Spider webs adorning the corners.
It looked like an abandoned attraction of yesteryear.

She wandered slowly looking for a place to sit.
Her body burned with pain.
She did not remember what had happened before and doubts were born inside her.

She tripped on a floor beam.
She looked up from her, lost in her thoughts.
A stage in front of her, with faded curtains on the floor, scraped wood, and scattered broken beams.

-Gre... - The name didn't come out of her mouth, she didn't remember the child.

Something was forgetting her inner thoughts.
Their relationships faded by the second.
She brought her hand to her face noticing something wet slipping from her fingers.
Water? Tears?
She was crying.
Because she didn't remember.
Her father's name, her mother's... Did she have siblings? Any pet? Who was Afton?

She looked up so afraid.
Within seconds, she didn't even know her own name.
She didn't remember their names or who her family was.
She felt like a zombie after waking up from death.

She walked forward onto the stage.
Dusty, cold, a haze filtered by the moonlight coming through the window.
Stood looking at the dry, hard wood of the stage, cracked over the years.
Blood...
There was blood on the stage. Just like in the hands, in the clothes, in the pants, chest and face.
Why was she bloodied?
Why was there blood on the stage?

She crouched down touching the dried liquid under the imprint of her fingers.
It had been there for years.
Blood... on a stage...

The bite of the year 83?
Fredbear Family Dinner.
But... why here?
Why did the voice guide her there? Vanessa wondered.

"Because the end is the beginning"

She no longer wanted to be the guinea pig.

She had not been born back then.
That restaurant was over 50 years old.
And she was only in her early 20s.

Vanessa turned around with a sigh.
She vaguely brought her eyes to her front.
Someone was there, watching at her.
But she wasn't afraid, for some reason she had a lot of insecurities but at that moment she felt free.

She walked dragging her feet to the exit of the place.
She didn't want to be there much longer.
She left the premises leaving him behind.

- Stop playing with me...

With that murmur she left.

"Vanessa this is your rebirth, just like his"
