Hello readers,
As you all know the first volume of Season 4 has been released and I already have ideas of how I'd like this season to go. I will be starting to work on chapters immediately now that I have the time for it, considering it being summer and I am now graduated from high school.
Grab your tissues and your scrunchies because it's gonna be a wild ride.
Before we move on to a new chapter, allow me to catch you up from last season.
Previously on Stranger Things
As we all know, Y/N was forced to break up with Dustin because Troy sexually harassed and molested Y/N. Not only that but also threatened her and Dustin's lives with a gun, so Y/N had no choice but to break up with Dustin. After breaking up with him, Y/N and Dustin had a dramatic musical scene during a rain storm, resulting in Y/N hiding herself up in a tree and Dustin throwing away the picture of Y/N and Dustin at the Snowball.
After realizing Y/N is gone, Will calls upon his friends to search for her. Dustin refuses and instead packs for camp. El finds her in the tree and Hopper gets her down with El's help. Y/N is sent to the hospital and is diagnosed with Pneumonia and has to stay in the hospital for a few weeks.
On Y/N's check out day at the hospital, Dustin also comes back from camp, but with some devastating and quite surprising news. Dustin found a new girlfriend at Camp Know Where and describes her as a hotter version of Phoebe Cates. Max is furious with Dustin while the others simply don't believe him and end up leaving him alone. Dustin while trying to contact said girlfriend instead finds a Russian message and records it.
Y/N was released from the hospital and is upset that no one, not even Will came to see her get checked out. So instead she goes home with Joyce and eats microwaved leftovers and watch Frasier with her mother.
When Y/N goes to her room to get some sleep, she hears Max over her intercom and Max tells her what Dustin did.
The next day Y/N goes to Max's house to skate. El then approaches them and tells them a problem she had with Mike. Outrages, Max tells El that Mike is lying to her and tells her to "dump his ass"
The trio then goes to the mall for some fun and to get El some new clothes. But, when they go to Chips Ahoy, Steve stops Y/N in her tracks and asked if she can help translate a message since she was studying Russian. Y/N agrees but then sees that Dustin is with him and Robin. Y/N is able to translate some of the message but not all of is. They then discover that the signal to the message isn't as far as they thought. It was right below them.
Dustin spends a lot of time bickering at Y/N as a result of his anger towards her. Y/N fights back but is overcome with the struggle to breath and collapses. After recovering, she walks away but Dustin apologizes for getting angry. Y/N shrugs it off and leaves.
The day following, Y/N returns to the mall to help Steve, Robin and Dustin with the code. For a while it was just her and Robin because Steve and Dustin think they found a Russian and are currently tracking him down.
They kept repeating the first few phrases over and over, finding nothing. Until something triggers what could possibly be a clue.
Robin and Y/N crack the code. Steve and Dustin return and they tell them that they cracked the code. Steve and Dustin then tell Y/N what happened when they tracked the person they thought was an evil Russian.
That night when Y/N returned, she found Will destroying Castle Byers and attempts to stop him. Will is upset because he had a fight with Mike after attempting a match of D&D with Mike and Lucas. He then goes on about how it was all stupid. Playing D&D, dressing up as Ghost Busters, etc. He felt abandoned because every one of his friends were in relationships with each other. Y/N suggests that she can help him rebuild it but Will refuses and leaves it saying "Castle Byers' days are gone. Along with D&D and everything else."
The following day after that, Y/N returns to the mall. Dustin is looking for the Russians' secret hideout. When Dustin comes back he tells them he found the secret room and that they need a key card to get in. Robin then gets an idea and buy a full blue print of the mall saying that they could get to the room through an air duct. Dustin attempts to get inside but doesn't fit. Y/N refuses because of her claustrophobia, so instead they turn to Erica, who always bothers Steve and Robin everyday for free samples. But of course, in turn to Erica getting into the vent, she wants free ice cream for life. Steve and Robin give in and Y/N goes to buy equipment for Erica using the rest of her money.
Y/N, Dustin, Steve, and Robin close up the shop and sneak to the roof of the mall after Erica gets into the air ducts. Erica finds the room and lets them inside. Steve opens the crates and finds a vile of mysterious green liquid. And right when they were about to leave with the vile, the door locks and doesn't open back up. They then begin to fall as to the room they were in was actually an elevator.
They eventually hit rock bottom and stop falling. Y/N hurts herself. They five then realize that they can't control the elevator without a key card, meaning that they were stuck. They argue about trying to find a way out and Dustin suggests climbing up and out. Steve and Dustin go up through a door on the top of the elevator to see if they can escape.
Y/N attempts to sleep in the elevator. After about 8 hours, Dustin attempts to contact the others on the top of the elevator. Robin asks Y/N about her relationship with Dustin. She bluntly explains what happened (leaving out the part that hurt her the most) and admits that she's still in love with Dustin. Erica attempts to drink the vile of the mysterious green liquid. Robin then hears something through the wall and tells the others to get on the roof. The elevator doors open and two men come to take the boxes. Once they leave and before the doors could close, the five kids/teens make their way out of the elevator, discovering what the green liquid does when it hits the ground.
They all the make their way down a long, and I mean very long hallway. As they walk down the hallway they discuss what the Russians could be using the green liquid for and what their essential plan was. Steve, Y/N and Dustin then come across a thought that could be a possibility. Weather or not they knew about the Upside Down.
When they finally reached the end of the hall they found a room that Erica labeled the "Comms Room" because of all the lights and lab equipment that she saw inside while it was open for a split second. Steve then led the four towards the door and sneaked in. This led to Steve winning his first fight and finding out what the Russians were using the green liquid for. It was powering a machine that was creating a portal to the Upside Down.
This had a negative effect on Y/N, causing her to pass out in the process. Once they get her out of there, she regains consciousness. In an attempt to escape, they then bump into a bunch of scientists. In an attempt to run away from the scientists, they were then chased by a man in a red jump suit down to where the beam was again. Y/N started to pass out again but was caught by Steve before she could fall over the railing. They managed to get away from the beam which helped Y/N regain consciousness. Y/N, Dustin, and Erica managed to escape through an air duct, leaving Robin and Steve.
As the three started to crawl, Erica demanded an explanation. Y/N and Dustin then explained everything to Erica as Dustin tried to mess with the panel that controlled the fans in the ducts. Y/N asked if he could use some help but Dustin aggressively declines, which leads to another argument. Erica is the identified as a nerd by Dustin and Y/N prior to her intellectual abilities as Dustin manages to move the fan so that they could get under it. Dustin pushed the vent open and the three of them crawled out. The green chemical they had encountered earlier had now been in bigger tubes. Also they came across a red golf cart which they were going to use as an escape. Erica and Y/N find electric spears and decide to keep them as a use of weapon. When Dustin argues which makes Y/N lose her temper. She uses her inhaler but goes into a coughing fit and finds blood on her arm from the cough. She finds it concerning but brushes it off. Dustin approaches her more sympathetically. Y/N says she can't lose anyone else. Dustin then admits that he still loves Y/N, which leads to Y/N's confession of what really happened the night she was forced to break up with Dustin. Dustin apologizes but Y/N shrugs it off and says "the past is the past now and nothing can be done to change it. We can only learn from it and move on,"
Dustin then agrees to save Steve and Robin. When they do they notice something odd about them and came to the realization that they were drugged.
They get back into the elevator and go back up using a key card that they stole off of one of the Russians. While figuring out how they were going to escape the mall, Steve confessed that his car keys were taken and that they told the Russians were they lived. Once they left the elevator, two Russians started to chase us with a gun. The five had nowhere to go but the movie theater. Dustin and Y/N left Erica to watch Steve and Robin while they attempted to contact Mike and the others, which they did but not for long because Dustin's walkie had dying batteries. When Dustin and Y/N came back into the theater just to find that Steve and Robin were missing. They soon found them in the men's bathroom singing a song well known and the smell of vomit floating around the room.
In an attempt to leave the mall, they tried to blend in with the crowd that was leaving from the movie theater but were seen by the Russian guards. After making an attempt to hide, El saved them by using her power to throw the display car a them.
All of the friends reunite but El is unwell and falls due to a leg injury.
Jonathan attempts to get the creature out of her leg but El said she could do it. Y/N, who has been holding on to her feels El's power like a vibration. Once she gets the creature out of her leg, Hopper, Joyce and Murray appear. Mike then explains how the mind flayer built a monster of itself using people and how it wants to kill El and pave its way into their world. They then come up with the idea of closing the gate that the Russians are making to cut the brain from the body, which will kill the mind flayer indefinitely. Murray then explains what Alexi told him about a room he called "the hub," which would take them to a vault which has the keys that shuts down the beam that's creating the gate to the upside down. Erica then explains that his calculations are incorrect and her Dustin, and Y/N explain that they were down there and know exactly where to go to get to the vault and that they can show them the way. The adults of course refuse and instead send them away to deal with it.
Y/N makes an attempt to stay behind so that she could be Joyce, Hopper, and Murray's navigator but is instead sent with her brothers, El, Mike, Max, Lucas, and Nancy. Y/N is getting physically sicker by the minute. When they loaded up in Nancy's car, the car didn't turn dueto the fact that the ignition cable was cut. The Billy (who is one of the flayed) appears in his car. S they had to run back inside to hide from Billy and swich out the ignition cables with the display car inside. Before they could get it out, the mind flayer appeared after Y/N and Will were warned. They hid from the mind flayer. Lucas managed to distract the mind flayer by popping a balloon using his sling shot. This gave them enough time to escape. Lucas, Will, and Y/N yelled at Nancy and Jonathan to get in the car. Nancy started to shoot at the car, which wasn't getting her anywhere. Once the car was an inch from killing them another car came ramming into Billy's. I looked to see Steve and Robin behind the windshield. Billy's car went up in flames and the monster was on the roof of the mall like Godzilla on the empire state. Jonathan got the car started and told Steve and Robin to get in. They climbed in the back and Nancy drove away.
After a while of being chased by the mind flayer, Dustin and Suzie (who really does exist) voices came on Robin and Steve's intercom. Y/N is surprised but also upset. Dustin and Suzie then argue about Planck's constant before Dustin and Suzie then do their horribly timed performance of Neverending Story and finally are given the equation to help Hopper, Joyce, and Murray get the keys from the vault. Y/N was upset with the singing, not because he was singing with another girl, but because he made a promise. A promise that she would be his only singing partner.
The mind flayer stopped chasing the car that Y/N and the others were in so they decided to follow it back to the mall.
Y/N then decides to something drastic and stupid. She decides to face Dustin whilst breaking into a hunting shop to steal weapons so that she could fight the mind flayer. Dustin urges her not to but Y/N says "It's my turn to face my fears."
Y/N does her best to hurt the mind flayer using a gun but it does do much. She then remembers that the mind flayer had a weakness to heat, so she caught her sword on fire and stabbed the mind flayer by jumping from the second floor on its back. Of course, this didn't go well and Y/N was stabbed in the back by one of the mind flayer's testicles, thrown from the mind flayer's back causing her to fly and hit her back, which made her fall unconscious. Jonathan, Will and Lucas check up on her to find that she isn't breathing and Jonathan attempts CPR on her.
Meanwhile, Y/N is in the first stage of death where she sees Sara. Bob, and Barb. She then fades away because Jonathan saves her as Billy had saved Max and the others from the mind flayer after El woke him from his possession by bringing back a memory.
Y/N wakes up in the hospital but ends up vomiting blood because of the tube inserted in her mouth. She wakes up again but this time clean and Joyce is sitting in the chair beside her. Y/N tells Joyce of what and who she saw. Joyce then told Y/N that Hopper and Billy died and that El would be staying with them. But, they are also moving which angers and upsets Y/N.
The doctor tells Y/N that she is now paralyzed from the waist down, that her pneumonia had converted to Tuberculosis. She was given a wheelchair, medicine, and assigned a physical therapist where they were moving.
When Y/N returns home, everything is already packed and is being loaded in the truck. Y/N glumly passes her friends and leaves to her room where she has a breakdown. Dustin comes in to help her. Y/N tries to give Dustin back the necklace he gave her the night of the snowball but Dustin refuses and tells her it belongs to her. The two then share a sweet and passionate kiss. Dustin and Y/N immediately see the wrong in what they just did but decided to keep it a secret. Dustin helps Y/N load the rest of the boxes in the moving truck. Once everybody gets everything loaded, Joyce, Jonathan, Will, El, and Y/N say their goodbyes to their friends. Will and Jonathan drive the family car and Joyce drives the moving truck with El and Y/N. El and Y/N proclaim themselves as sister and Y/N feels the energetic vibrations coming from El.

1) Is Dustin going to break up with Suzie to get back with Y/N?
2) What is this vibration thing that Y/N and El have going on?
3) Will Y/N gain El's powers?
4) Will Y/N meet someone new at her new location?"
5) Will Y/N be able to walk again even after the doctor said it would only take six months to fully recover?
