3RD PERSON POV
"Mama do we really have to go" y/n said hitting her arms to her legs as she followed Scarlett around the house
"Y/n, yes, yes you do, she's your grandma" Scarlett replied sitting down on the sofa and zipping up her bag
"But she doesn't even like me" y/n said rolling her eyes and zipping up her bag, coping her mom's actions
"She does, you're just overthinking it" Scarlett said standing up and walking out the room, y/n sighed laying back on the sofa, y/n's grandma didn't like her very much, becasue she was 'too attached to her mom' apparently. According to her, y/n couldn't let Scarlett leave her sight and always had to be clinging onto her all the time.
"Let's go" Scarlett said knocking on the living room door before disappearing, y/n groaned sitting back up, grabbing her bag and making her way to the front door. Y/n waited for Scarlett and then got straight in the car without saying a word
"It'll be okay, i won't let her say anything mean to you" Scarlett said rubbing y/n's knee and turning on the radio while the two sat in comfortable silence while they drove over to Scarlett's mom's house
"I promise, it'll be okay, I'm staying with you" Scarlett said rubbing y/n's arm and giving her a small side hug as they stood outside the door waiting for Melanie to answer the door
"Hello girls" Melanie said opening the door and stepping as-side letting them both in, Scarlett and y/n walked in, waiting in the hallway for Melanie to wander back in
"We're in the living room, Hunter's here with Vanessa" Melanie said leading the girls through to the living room to Hunter and Vanessa
"Scarlett, y/n" they said standing up and giving each of them a hug, Scarlett and y/n sat beside each other on the sofa, y/n edged closer to Scarlett as the conversation's in the room started, it was only 9pm so everyone decided to order a takeaway for some dinner
"Chinese" Scarlett said looking down and nudging y/n with her elbow slightly, y/n looked up and nodded her head slowly and leaned closer into Scarlett who wrapped her arm around her, letting her cuddle in more
"Let's go put our stuff away" Scarlett said standing up and extending her hand for y/n, which she took and stood up with her.
"You alright" Scarlett asked y/n as they both walked upstairs, y/n gave Scarlett a small nod holding onto her hand tighter
"It's me and you" y/n said excitedly looking at the new photo frame that hung up on the wall in Scarlett's old bedroom they were staying in. It was a photo of Scarlett and y/n when they were at the park and sliding down the slide together giggling with each other a few years ago.
"That's so cute" Scarlett said looking up at the photo before kneeling in the ground and unpacking the clothes that both of them had
"Can i not sleep with you" y/n asked looking down at the air mattress on the floor, the problem in Scarlett's old bedroom, was that she only had a single bed and a big room, so Melanie blew up another single air mattress on the side of the bed
"I don't know sweets" Scarlett said more focused on finding pyjamas for the two
"Your always welcome too, but grandma blew this up for you" Scarlett said throwing a pair of pyjamas at y/n and standing up, sitting on the bed next to y/n
"But i like sleeping with you" y/n said fiddling with Scarlett's bra strap at the back while her head lay on Scarlett's bare shoulder as she was in the middle of changing
"I love sleeping with you to my love, we'll work it out tonight" Scarlett promised slipping the t-shirt over her head, y/n coping and changing her pants into fluffy ones with some fluffy socks that both the girls have
"Come on" Scarlett said messing with y/n's hair as they both came out the bedroom and made their way down stairs

It was now 11pm and everyone was still having their drinks and conversations, y/n stayed cuddled up to Scarlett the whole night not wanting her to leave
"Are you tired" Scarlett whispered rubbing her fingers through the front of y/n's hair and using her thumb to rub the back of her head, y/n lied shaking her head and struggling to keep her eyes open. Scarlett started saying something else, but y/n was too tired to listen and just let her head drop down to Scarlett's chest as she closed her eyes
SCARLETT'S POV
After y/n fell asleep on my chest, my mom gave me one of those looks, I didn't get what her problem was, every time we came here, y/n was always quiet and shying away from everyone so, she sticks with me, which I did not have a problem with. My mom said y/n will grow up relaying on me to do everything for her, but y/n is a very independent when she needs to be.
My mom rolls her eyes at me and continues her conversation with who she was talking to and I turned to finish my conversation that I was having with Vanessa.
It soon hits 1am and everyone grows more and more tired, Hunter and Vanessa headed up to bed, leaving me, y/n and my mom downstairs. I stood and managed to get y/n into my arms without waking her up, i supported my arm under her butt and the other was holding my drink that I had
"She's gonna rely on you for everything Scarlett if you keep babying her" My mom said as we shut off all the lights that were on and turned off all the electricity
"Mom, she's 11, she fell asleep, I know how to raise my child" i said defending myself and y/n
"Anyway, can you run to Sarah's tomorrow and get that package, my car's in the garage and your sister can't" Mom said walking up the stairs with me and turning off the hall lights as we go
"Yeah sure, night" i sighed closing the bedroom door and carefully laying y/n down in the bed
"Mama?" Y/n mumbled stretching her arms over her head and turning over to her stomach
"I'm here" i whispered rubbing her hair as I sat on the stool and took of my make-up and tied up my hair
"I'm not tired" y/n said sitting up and rubbing the hair from her face
"Mm I think you are hun" I chuckled wiping my face
"I'm not" y/n said standing up and shaking her head, walking to me and wrapping her arms around my neck and placing her cheek on the top of my head
"What if I let you sleep with me tonight" i smiled looking at her through the mirror, her face lit up and she nodded her head frantically bouncing on her heels
"Okay, okay" she almost squealed and jumped into the bed and pulled up the covers
"How long are we staying here for"
"A week lovely" i said slipping in beside y/n, she layed on her back looking up to the ceiling as i lay on my side, with my left arm draped under her head and stroked the side of her face, y/n sighed and nodded her head. I smiled and lowered my head down, kissing the tip of her nose
"I love you, you know" i said running my pinkie finger down the space of y/n's eyebrows and down the bridge of her nose with my other hand
"I love you too mama" y/n said tiredly looking up at me as her eyelashes fluttered, she pouted her lips and lifts her head up, i chuckled and squished her cheeks and pecked her lips a few times before letting go of her cheeks and ran my finger down her nose again
"Goodnight baby" i whisper scooting down in the bed
"Night momma" Y/n mumbled, turning her body over and pushing her face into my chest, throwing her leg over my waist, i chuckled and pulled her closer to me rubbing my fingers through the back of her hair. She let out a comfortable sigh and propped her arm on my waist and slowly falling asleep.
Y/N'S POV
I woke up, and opened my eyes not seeing my mom about, I sat up and slowly got out of bed and tiredly made my way downstairs. I hated being on my own, I have always been a shy person and wanted my mom around me
"Where's mom" i whispered to grandma who was in the kitchen, grandma sighed before answering me
"She's gone out, she's tired y/n, your always clinging onto her, she needs a break y/n" grandma said sounding quite angry before walking out the room, i ran out of the kitchen and back up stairs to mom's bedroom and flung myself onto the bed and pulled the duvet over my head hiding myself completely.
That's when I started to think, was I really too clingy towards my mom? I thought back and realised how close I had been to her the whole of yesterday and didn't leave her alone when she might have wanted to be alone.
"Y/n" Mom said knocking on the door before entering the room
"Oh sweetheart" Mom said walking over to me and sitting on the bed and taking the duvet off my head
"Auntie Vanessa told me what grandma said" She said stroking the top of my head and playing with the ends of my hair, i hummed in response and kept my head down in the pillows
"You know that isn't true love" mom said rubbing my back
"Sorry" i mumbled quickly
"Y/n please don't apologise for something you haven't done" Mom said pulling me up and onto her lap from under my armpits
"Please don't apologise, you know how much I love you and love how much hugs and kisses you give me" Mom said lifting up my head with her finger, i gave a small nod to her as her hand slowly pushed my head down to her shoulder. Mom pulled my legs round her waist and sat on the bed rocking me slightly from side to side as her hands threaded through my hair
"What do you say to a shopping day in town, me and you" mom spoke up, i nodded my head happily and locked my hand with my mom's hand, she happily took it and rubbed her thumb over my knuckles gently
"Let's go then, cause you still need to get ready" Mom said patting the sides of my waist and standing up, i nodded my head and searched through my bag looking for clothes and happily looking forward to a good day with my mom!
