Catra's PoV
"How did we lose her? She was right in front of us, I made sure she was in front of me before running" Adora passes nervously between us
"(AC/N)" I yell again but nothing, just like the other thousands times I did it. I can't even pick up her scent, even if she ran pass this place or made the wrong turn, I would be able to smell her. But I can't, it's like she...... Just disappear
"Adora take a breath, we'll find her. She probably just kept running, not knowing when it was safe from the spikes" Arrow Boy takes her shoulders
"Yeah, she's probably around here somewhere. She couldn't have gone far, we'll find her, I promise" Sparkles steps next to him and places her hand on Adora's arm
"You're right..... Sorry I.." she sighs sorrowly before looking at our surrounding, stopping confused
"....Isn't this where we started?" She asks nervously and now afraid of how could we have return to the beginning. Just after she said it. A loud growl echos distantly but still sounded all around us
"You guys hear that too, right?" Arrow Boy asks nervously
"The energy signature is just ahead of you. Go through the door on your left" Entrapta says through our earpieces but for some reason she sounded off and weird
"Entrapta! (AC/N) is lost and we can't find her.... Can you tracker her earpiece? Is she close?" Adora basically yells at her earpiece
'Oh no!'
"She doesn't have her earpiece" I tell her
"What?!" she looks at me with even more worry and fear
"She took it off, right after we enter this place" I sigh defeated, taking out her earpiece from my pocket
"Why?" Adora steps in front of me and takes the device
"She didn't want to hear him......" I look at her and I knew she immediately understood who I was talking about
".....She said... It sounded like him.... It made her feel like having him in her head again" I fight the sudden tears threatening to come out
'I shouldn't have left her out of my side'
"What about the suit? Did you put a tracker in the suits Entrapta?" Arrow Boy asks her before Adora could
"I did. And her my tracker says she went through the door to your left. She's just up ahead" again her voice sounded different
"Entrapta there's no.." Adora sighs concerned before stopping to realize that there was a door there
"That wasn't there a second ago....." I says afraid
'I could've sworn...'
".....We're not really going through that...are we?" my tail bristles again as I hold my forearms nervously
"Entrapta says (AC/N) went this way so yes...." Adora mumbles nervously, not entirely sure about this
"......Let's go" she says more firmly as Arrow Boy and Sparkles started to walk to the door
"I.... You think she's ok? I could've sworn I saw her right in front of me but I.." I think out loud, starting to get a very heavy feeling in my chest
"Hey breathe Catra....." Adora steps in front of me and gently takes both my hand with hers
"....Bow and Glimmer are right. She probably just kept running. We'll find her" she says with the stupid optimism of hers
"Promise?" I feel stupid asking this but I needed it
"We won't leave this place without her" she smiles determined before leaning her forehead to mine
*time skip*
It feels like we've been walking for hours and the end of the corridor doesn't seem to get any closer, actually it seems to get further away, and there hasn't been a single sign of (AC/N) anywhere
"Adora! Are you there? Wrong Hordak downloaded the rest of the records from Prime's occupation of Krytis, and guess what?!...." Entrapta shouts and this time it sounded like her
'What is going on?'
"....This planet was once a First Ones colony like Etheria. It looks like Horde Prime and the First Ones were fighting for control of this planet, and Horde Prime won......" she explains fascinated
".....But something on the planet drove him away before he could conquer it. He tried to erase all records of his failure" she finished before Wrong Hordak's voice came through, saying that we need to fight him and stop him
"See?! We're on the right path!" Adora tries to convince herself more than us
"You mean because of the fact the First Ones were here? I know someone who would hardly disagree with you right now" I say unimpressed and a little joking but Adora just elbows me lightly
"We have to get out of here first. And that door still isn't getting any closer" Arrow Boy sighs as he looks forward, the corridor seems to get a lot longer
"Sorry, what door?" Entrapta asks confused
'I knew it!'
"What do you mean, what door? The one you told us to go through. The one you said (AC/N)'s suit tracker went through" I growl through my teeth
"Tracker in the suits? There are no tracker in the suits.... I'm tracking you all with the earpiece...." I felt my blood go cold at this. We were chasing ghosts as (AC/N) was still lost somewhere here
"....And about the door, that wasn't me. This is the first time we've talked since the last floor" Entrapta makes our nightmare true
'But she said it..... How could we have.... What it's going on?'
"I knew it! I knew this was a terrible plan! This place is weird, and unnatural. (AC/N) is lost and who knows where she is and we need to find her and get out of here before--!" I growl angrily and afraid and annoyed and sad, all at once
"Catra looks at me..... Breathe please" Adora immediately takes my hands gently as they were trembling strongly
'I just want her back'
"By the way, who's your new friend? if (Y/N) is lost, why am I seeing five of you?" Entrapta asks happily
'What did she say?'
"What are you talking about? It's just the four of us. (Y/N) is still missing" Sparkles chuckles nervously, trying to don't freak out
"Hate to disagree, but there's a definite heat signature, right behind you" Entrapta informs us and when I look behind there was a humanoid figure right there, looking at us
And then I smell it, (AC/N)'s scent and it was coming from the creature
'It took her!'
As the other three yell startled by it, I move them away and jump to it
"Where is she?" I growl furiously, tackling it to the ground as it teleport us away. We ended up falling somewhere else as I could hear the voices of the others over my earpiece
"Catra!" Adora yells terrified in my ear
"Adora! I'm down here!" I yelp nervously back, looking up at the creature who seemed even taller now, before it changed into a very big scary feline, growling angrily at me
"I'm coming!" Adora screams through the earpiece
"Hurry" I whisper full with fear, seeing the creature circle me as it was about to attack. It suddenly makes itself invisible and as I look around to see if I could spot it, my eyes catches a familiar figure on the ground
"(AC/N)?....." I gasp lowly, seeing her laying on the ground unconscious. I try to crawl to her but a growl came right in front of me before the creature reappears right at my face. I move back shaking, no exactly knowing what to do, when I hear a low grunt coming from (AC/N)
".....(AC/N)! Are you hurt?" I say louder as she manages to sit down, still a little dizzy but fine
"Catra?" She grunts confused
"It's ok (AC/N), I'll get you out of here" I try to stand and walk to her again but the creature growls and jumps at me feet, making me jump back and fall again to the ground before it made its way back to her
'No!'
"(AC/N)! Try not to move, I'll find a way to get you away from it" I have my eyes lock into the creature, readying myself to jump and get my Cub away from it
"Did we do this at one point in our lives?...... Because I'm having dejavu" she says still disoriented
"Could you stop joking around. Seriously, how are you even still alive?" I growl annoyed, standing up and taking a couple of steps to her. The creature growling angrily as I do
"Counting everything that has happened to me in the last five years, I'm as clueless as you are....." she chuckles as she looks better at the creature
".....Wow! They look just like.." she thinks out loud as she reaches her hand to it
"Stop!!! What are you doing? Don't touch it....ok maybe if a draw it this way you could.." I intend to move so the creature would follow me and she would be able to get away
"Catra! They are not going to hurt you" she stops my thoughts as she sits better, making the creature's head turn to her as it meows lowly
"I think you are wrong there Cub" I get more nervous as it turns to her and leans it head to her
"No, I'm not. Don't they look familiar to you? They look just like Remy, this must be their planet" she reaches to cares their head
"Ok so how is that going to help us?" I ask concerned as she cares them, feeling anxious that the creature could attack her at any moment, but before anything else happen, another glow-y thing fall on my nose and I ended up sneezing. Drawing the attention of the creature back to me as the sit next to (AC/N) and mimick my sneeze to perfection
'What the..?'
"By earning their trust.... Let them know you are not a threat" she chuckles at the high pitch sneeze as she reaches her hand for me to take. I immediately took hers but not entirely sure what she was talking about. I just wanted to have her next to me. She makes me kneel in front of the creature as she was next to us. It growl lowly and not trusting me which made me step back and ready to pull (AC/N) to me
"(AC/N)" I gasp lowly and terrified but she shush me
"It's ok.... She won't hurt you....." she stops me from stepping away as she sweetly whisper to the creature. When it calmed down she took my hand and reaches it towards them. They back up unsure before leaning gently against my palm, snuggling softly and purring lowly
".....See? We are friends" I wasn't sure if she said that to me or them
"How did you know?" I whisper softly, still caressing the creature who now was a normal size cat, their mane not a vivid red but a beautiful light blue color
"I don't know.... Something told me they weren't a threat. They look just like Remy and we made the same mistake of considering them dangerous" she thinks out loud
"They took you when you were bitten by that bug and completely disappeared..... I still don't know where they took you" I raise my eyebrow suspiciously
"Me neither, I was too dizzy and poisoned to remember anything that happened that day" she chuckles sweetly
"Yeah, you said a lot of thing that day" I felt the need to tease her about this
"Why does it sound like I would definitely regret hearing what I said if you were to tell me now?" She covers her face embarrassed. Trying to figure out what she said exactly. Before I could answer a portal appear not far from us and I saw Arrow Boy, Sparkles and Adora fall through it
"Oh God" (AC/N) stands up and runs to them
"Catra hold...." Adora stands up but stops herself confused
.....On?......." she questions unsure before looking at (AC/N)
".....(AC/N)...." she smiles brightly and relief as she basically throws her arms around her shoulders, crushing her in a tight sweet hug
"....I thought.." her voice cracks miserably before (AC/N) stops her
"I'm ok Adora" she chuckles happily and with love before melting in the hug. The first hug she has let someone give her and doesn't look like she wants to pull away. I return my attention back to the fenile as I keep petting their head
"Are you--are you petting the thing that's been trying to kill us?" I hear Adora's mocking voice behind me and a playful scoff from Cub
"I'm trying something here, if you didn't notice" I growl through my teeth, feeling embarrassed and blushed
"It's just so...cute!" Arrow Boy gasps amazed as Adora covers her mouth to chuckles
"It's not cute!" I yell embarrassed, my cheeks turning red, and because I lost control, the creature assumed they were a threat and growl angrily, turning their mane red and spiked
"Get away from her!" Adora lets go of (AC/N)'s hand and steps near to protect me
"Adora wait" (AC/N) tries to stop her, reaching and taking her arm just as I step between the creature and them
"No...! Don't..." I extent my arms to block her before pausing and taking a deep breath
"...I'm sorry. I got angry. It's something I'm working on" I growl frustrated but trying my best to control it
"Aww, you are?" both of them give me a stupid hopeful cute face with amazement in their eyes
"Yes! Now can you please...." I growl angrily before stoping myself, closing my eyes and taking another deep breath
".....Yes, I am. I think this thing responds to emotions. So can you not give me a hard time right now?" I sighs lowly and with a calmer tone. Seeing Cub trying so hard to hold back her laugher
"No, sorry, sorry. Do your thing" Adora muffles a chuckle as she steps away with (AC/N). I sighs annoyed of them, but truly I was feeling an entirely different emotion for those two idiots. I walk to the creature, they still growling angrily and mane vivid red. Kneeling in front them, I slowly reach my hand out
"It's okay. We won't hurt you" I whisper softly to them. The creature shifts back into their normal color and steps closer, sniffing my palm before snuggling their head into it, and to my surprise this time they glow brightly before going back to normal
'What was that?'
As I was looking at the fenile, I sneeze one more time and just like before they mimick my sound. Making me curios of how are they able to do that. But before I could get an answer, they suddenly growl angrily and fearfully before jumping to hide behind me and just now I realize it's because Adora was kneeling next to me
"You're magic, aren't you?...." She asks innocently and sweet, holding my shoulder as she looks at them. They make themselves smaller, peeking out their head from me side and hissing at Adora
".....Me too" she chuckles happily and softly before making her eyes lightly shine a soft clear blue. The creature immediately got curious at this and came out from behind me, slowly walking to her, sniffing her hand before growing a little bigger and snuggling against her face, purring loudly, Adora chuckling loudly
"Told you they weren't going to hurt us" (AC/N) kneels on my other side before being tackle to the ground by the fenile as they snuggle happily against her, just like with Adora
She laughs and chuckles happily as she cares their head before sitting up again and slightly hugging their neck. They pull away before licking her cheek and then turning to me, meowing intensely and the weirdest part was... I could understand everything they said
"Uh, what's it doing?!...." I crawl away a little, nervous and concerned that I could completely understand them
"....Uh, guys? Can you hear it talking, too? Please tell me you can hear it talking" I yelp terrified turning to the other, they shaking their heads negatively
"It's ok Catra, they imprinted on you. Just like Remy did with me. We are the only ones who can understand them" (AC/N) stands up and steps closer
"They must trust you" Arrow Boy gasps amazed
"Well, they shouldn't. Why is everything with you guys so weird?" I yelps shakily before (AC/N) kneels next to me and stops me from crawling away
"Listen to them... It's ok" she whispers in my ear before sitting on the ground by my side. I take a breath as the creature keeps meowing
"It says its name is...Melog. It's been here by itself for a long time. It thought we were enemies, like, um..." I think of the right word for a second
"....The ones that came to take its magic? They dug into the ground, built machines" I translate unsure
"The First Ones. That's what they were doing. They were mining this planet's magic, just like on Etheria" Adora gasps at the realization
"Wait the First Ones were here?" (AC/N) gasps confused as she looks at Adora
"There was a First One's settlement here once" Adora nods her head
"But they took too much. And then...The one who destroys came...." I keep translating as they shape shift into Prime. Making (AC/N) flinch nervously as she backs away, slightly shivering in fear
"....Melog...." I whisper calmly and for some reason I knew they understood what I meant. Changing back into their normal self, continuing meowing
"....They apologize for that..." I look at (AC/N) as she gives me and them a thankful smile
".....He tried to conquer this place, but-but couldn't. The magic of Krytis was too wild for Prime....." I shake my head as I try to process their meowing better
"....He didn't understand what it was. He couldn't use it, couldn't defend against it" I look back at the group
"Magic is Horde Prime's weakness!" Sparkles gasps excited and happily before Melog keep meowing
"Melog drove Prime off but couldn't defeat him. And now...it's the last of its kind. Or at least that's what they thought...." I sigh sadly as I look at (AC/N)
"....When we got in, they sensed your connection with one of their kind and thought we were holding you prisoner, seeing you sad and afraid. So they..... Tricked us with the spikes and took you away to save you" I explain a little sadly because even Melog could see that (AC/N) wasn't alright
"Ohh so that's how I got here in the first place" she slightly jokes to me. Knowing very well what I was thinking
'Cub stop trying to diminish your pain'
"They apologize for it, you just seemed..... In a lot of distress, they thought the worst and like you're bound to their kind it was their job to keep you save" I listen carefully at their meows
"There's nothing to apologize for Melog. To be honest, I was a little unsettle and afraid in this mission but it had nothing to do with them. And actually, I feel a lot better now" she moves in front of them and cares just behind their ear, making them purr loudly. When she stops, they turn to me and ask me if whatever has her so on edge was Prime's doing
"Yes" I sigh sadly and by the looks on (AC/N)'s face, she knew they asked me if Prime hurt her in anyway
"But Melog you're not the only one of your kind. Back on Etheria, there's another, Remy, they were with me" she quickly changes the subject. Adora joining her as she kneels right next her
"I'm sorry for what happened to you, but we're gonna make sure it never happens again....." she says it to Melog but I could tell it was meant for (AC/N) too. She places her hand over (AC/N)'s shoulder as she immediately moves her hand to gently touch Adora's
"....Our planet has magic, too. It might be the last place in the universe that does. If you wanna come with us, I think you'd really like it there" she smiles at Melog. They agree with excitement before jumping on top of them both, licking their faces and purring loudly, making them laugh and chuckle. As they sit back up again Melog goes and snuggles against (AC/N)'s neck as their tail wrap around Adora's wrist, which made me feel proud and happy for some reason
"Entrapta? We're on our way back down. And we're bringing a friend" Adora informs her through the earpiece
"That's great! And I'm happy to report that Wrong Hordak's existential crisis has resolved" Entrapta shouts proud and excited. He said something about standing against him and the his a liar and he need to be stopped before Adora looks back at me with a determined face
"That's the plan" she smiles proudly, ready to fight the monster who hurt our girl
"What plan?" (AC/N) asks confused because she didn't hear the conversation. Adora chuckles as she stands up and then helps her on her feet
"The one where we'll stop the big red wolf" she laughs proudly, taking her hand in hers
"Big bad wolf Adora...... The red was the girl's hood" (AC/N) chuckles sweetly before wrapping her arms around Adora, hugging her so tight but still very gentle
This caught Adora off guard, just like the rest of us, but honestly it was a most welcome surprised. It meant we were finally getting our friend back, that she was healing from what he did and starting to feel more safe around us, but most importantly, feeling comfortable with herself. Adora immediately hugs her back as she snuggles her face in (AC/N)'s neck. I could tell by her body language that she was crying for missing the touch of her girlfriend and I just knew happy tears were running down her eyes as she snuggles deeper
'Why can't I have that with them?'
"What wolf?" Sparkles questions gently to Arrow Boy, not to disturbed their moment but still (AC/N) heard her
"It's a long story....." she chuckles as she pulls away from Adora but still stay in her arms. The blonde carefully wiping away her happy tears, but her eyes fall on me, so I only smile happily at her. After all I was happy that (AC/N) was doing better and that Adora was getting the love she always deserved
'I really want that'
".....But for now the wolf is Prime.... And we're going to stop him" she says with a new proud and determined voice. Walking to the two of friends and hugging them for the first time since we got her back
I can't even start to describe the happiness their faces express right now. They are at the burst of crying happily as their arms are wrapped around (AC/N) but still not too tight so she doesn't feel trapped. Adora smiles brightly and happily before walking next to me and caressing Melog's head as they sit between us
"She's really getting better" Adora whispers not believing what she was seeing, and to be honest I was starting to get worry that (AC/N) wouldn't be able to get through this
"She is" I whisper back proudly, holding back the sudden tears that threat to come out for the tremendous joy I was feeling
"We'll keep her safe, right?" Adora takes my hand gently and squeezes it a little
"There's nothing that could possibly stop us. After all, she has She-ra and me as the Etherian Warrior looking after her" I squeeze back, seeing Melog rub their face against the outside of Adora's thigh as they try to get between our hands
'Weird..... What are they doing?'
"Uh, Adora? We still don't know how we're gonna get back to Etheria" Arrow Boy mumbles unsure as we let go of our hands
"Hmm, about that. I think I might have an idea" I humm with a wild smirk, looking down at Melog. They knowing exactly what I was thinking and meowing in approval
"Well, this is your mission Kitty, so lead the way" (AC/N) chuckles teasingly, stepping in front of me and shyly opening her arms for a hug. My heart completely stopped or exploted, who cares, at the thought of finally hugging her. My body felt on fire as it was trembling just slightly at the anticipation, my belly tightening inside of me with a peculiar feeling
I was ready to wrap my arms around her and feel her close to me when she was tackled by Melog to the ground. Snuggling and licking all over her face in an intend of a hug. Making her chuckle loudly and their purr growing lovingly
Guess they really do react to my emotions. Well if they are going to steal every hug I could give her then I don't want this relationship/bond whatever anymore. Everyone else got a hug
'I want my hug'
*time skip*
"Are you sure you can camouflage the whole ship Melog?" (AC/N) asks concerned for their safety, after all its a very big ship to hold invisible plus the velocity we'll go through. They purr against her face and snuggle softly, meowing that she shouldn't worry and that they have this
"They got this (AC/N)" I translate to her as she looks at me
"Be careful. I want you to meet Remy" she whispers, joining her forehead with theirs
'Man! They get a hug and a headbumb from her'
"Coming up on the blockade around Etheria. They'll have visual on us soon" Entrapta informs us as we fly closer to the blockade
"We sure this is gonna work?" Arrow Boy asks nervously and unsure
"Only one way to find out" Adora says determined as she looks at me
"Ready?" I turn to Melog. They nod in response before disappearing completely, leaving the whole bridge cover with the same little glow-y lights from before
"I didn't know they could do this" (AC/N) gasps amazed, glancing around the room. Eyes falling eventually at the danger in front of us, and immediately her face turns worry
"It's going to be ok" Adora steps on her other side as she entwined her hands with (AC/N)'s
"So, just to make sure I get it...." Sparkles sighs shakily before turning to us as we make it to the front of the bridge
"....We're going to go running through a Horde blockade while relying on the magic of a creature we just met?" she asks almost incredulously
"That about sums it up, yes" I respond happily, feeling proud and good about this plan
"See? You're already making crazy and reckless, yet brilliant plans just like us" (AC/N) elbows me, stepping between me and Adora
"Well, you're a good influence Cub" I smirk at her, Adora nodding in agreement
"Since when?" (AC/N) scoffs playfully, getting a chuckle out of all of us
"Punch it, Darla!" Entrapta yells, pushing a button at the panel and making the ship go into hyper speed. Making all of us almost fall. (AC/N) almost accidently stepping on my tail before she basically throws herself to the ground to avoid hurting me. She would've fell if Adora and I didn't catch her and set her in a tight hug between us
She hold on to us like her life depended on it as the ship kept flying towards Etheria. Successfully making it through the blockade undetected and now flying calmly across the familiar Etherian sky. As I open my eyes and carefully raise my head from (AC/N)'s back neck. I noticed Adora's arms tightly but gently around my waist, her face deep bury in (AC/N)'s hair, I felt the heat raising rapidly around my face as I try to pull away. Noticing now that my tail wrapped itself around Adora's thigh
"Urgh" I grunt embarrassed, forcing my tail off her leg and my face to stop setting itself on fire
"Are we dead?" (AC/N) asks innocently but with a mocking tone as she start to leave Adora's hug and looks out of the window
"It worked... It worked! Ah!...." Adora gasps amazed
"....Melog did it!" she excitedly jumps happily as they reappear next to me purring proudly. I was about to tell them that they did a marvelous job, when Sparkles crashes her lips against my cheeks before hugging me tightly
"Catra saved the daaay!" she shouts happily and a hint proudly. I would kill anyone who says this but I kinda like it, but of course I grunt annoyed to don't show it
"Aw, come here. Best Friend Squad huuug!" Arrow Boy joins happily
"No, no, absolutely not!" I grunt embarrassed before they finally let me go and left the room to finally get out of the ship
"You did it...." I was almost tackled by (AC/N) after everyone left
".....You brought us home...." she snuggles closer to my neck, arms around my shoulders tightly and yet so gentle and caring
Just like every other time, my body betrays me and purrs loudly at her touch, but right now I couldn't care less. I wrapped my arms around her waist and drink every drop of her scent I could get for myself, enjoying her sweet, unique and deliciously alluring smell
Suddenly I wanted nothing more than to cry, remembering day we got her back. They day I thought the worst, seeing her laying on the ground not moving filled me with so much sorrow and guilt. I thought I lost her, that she was right there in my arms and yet I couldn't have been more further away
I wanted nothing more than to be able to hug her and tell her how much she means to me, how my life has always been brighter whenever she's by my side. I remember everything I told her, after getting her inside the ship. The promises I did, begging her to stay and don't leave me, begging her to give me a chance to be better, begging her to let me take her..
"....You brought me home" she whispers with a cracking voice, slightly crying on my neck. Saying the exact words I was just thinking about
'Did she just.. Did she hear me that day? Did she hear me begging her to let me take her home?'
"I promised I would, didn't I?" my own voice cracked in my throat as I deepen the hug
"Thank you" she whispers after some seconds, sighing sweetly as she slightly snuggles in the hug
And here we stay, for a long while, in each other's arms, loudly expressing what we couldn't say with words..... Or at least I was, I wanted to tell her one thing, something that's being eating me up since that day back in the Horde but..... I could never belong to her or Adora they way I wish to, so all I can do is long for the moments I could share this kind of intimacy with them
'If anyone out there can hear me.....
Please have mercy on me'
