39- White Out

Adora's PoV

We made it back to Bright Moon hours ago after retaking the the outpost but (AC/N) hasn't arrived yet, it is almost night and I'm starting to get worry

'what if something happened?'

"Hey guys.... have you guys seen (AC/N)? Or Swifty? Do you know if they are back yet?" I ask my friends as I walk inside Glimmer's room. bow was on the table, fixing one of his arrows and Glimmer was sitting next to her window, reading a book

"Ohh hey Adora, I assume she did, we saw Swifty an hour ago" Bow says normally, letting his tools on the table and looking at me

"Wait, what?!" I say surprised

"Yeah... I assumed by now you two would be sparring on top of each other" Glimmer teases, smirking at me

"Glimmer!" Bow and I say in unison. I blush hard at this

"What?!.... Somebody had to say that" she says innocently, going back to her book

"I... I'm going to look for her" I say, walking to the door

"Wait.... She really didn't come to you?" Glimmer asks worry. I stop and turn my head

"No...she didn't" I say sadly

'if she is here....why didn't she look for us?'

"You think something happened?"  Bow asks also worry, starting to raise from the table

"I'll find her and let you know" I say and they nod, slightly worry. Closing the door behind me I walk towards the stables. If could talk to Swifty maybe I'll know where she is. In the stables I find Swifty eating apples

"Hey Swifty..... Are you ok? Where is (AC/N)?" I ask worry

"Hey Adora... I'm ok and (Y/N)... She says she was going to go for a walk... in the garden...." he says normally but frowns thoughtfully before saying

"....She said you two were going to meet there" he says now worry and confused

"Yeah.... Right I forgot...." I lied

'In the garden? Why would (AC/N) lie to him like that?'

".....I just wanted to know how it went? Is (AC/N) ok?" I ask, hiding my worry

"Well.... To be honest we slipped up for a while and when I found her.... She looked on edge... out of place... and little terrified... she was crying" he says looking sad

"....I tried talking to her on our way back but she just kept saying that everything was ok. That she was just sad because we didn't find anything" he finished

"Ohh ok, thanks Swifty, get some rest" I say, caressing his nose and walk away

"Adora.... is she going to be ok? I got the feeling she hid something from me. Like she found out something she didn't want to find" he asks worry, with so much concerned in his eyes

'what happened out there??!'

"She will!! I will find her and see that she is fine" I smile to him and walk away, making my way to the gardens

'i knew I should've gone with her....I shouldn't have let her go without us... What could’ve happened..... What if she is hurt and didn't tell Swift Wind. What if what she found it's bad, really bad... She didn't come to us when she arrived.... She didn't come to me'

Finally stepping inside the garden, I start to look around for want sign of her but there was none and now that it was night it was starting to get harder to see. Thankfully a lanterns were helpful to walk around. After at least half an hour I found her sitting the the edge of the small lagoon in the farther side of the garden. Her knees tuck into her chest and her head was tiredly laced on her knees
