Chapter Seventeen Part Two
"Where are we going?" I asked, taking in the hundreds of S.W.A.T vehicles.
"Somewhere we can talk privately." The woman replied.
I watched as she looked around the parking lot. She led me to a black BMW, the widows tinted. She ushered me in the seat behind hers. She started the vehicle, it roaring to life. She pulled out quickly, dodging the other cars.
I wanted to question her, ask her what was going on. Why the S.W.A.T team was here and why did Robert get taking away. Where was Robert now? Where is she taking me? So many questions I wanted to ask but decided I'd learn soon.
"Ask." The woman said.
"What?" I mumbled.
"Ask your questions while you can." She rolled her eyes.
I frowned, I don't like this woman. I stayed silent thinking what my firsts question should be.
She sighed annoyed, "Were here because of your safety."
"My safety?" I asked confused.
"Your in danger." She said it as if it was the most normal thing in the world, like she just told me I had ordered pizza.
"Why?" I kept a monotone.
"We know all about you Miss Montez. We know your mother was a whore who had a pimp. We know your father was never in your life. You have a sister named Laila who is married to a man in the army. We know he was just stationed here. We know you share a condo with a roommate named Lacey. We know where you work, how old you are, where you live, and we know your..." She paused looking at me from the rearview mirror, "Past."
The way she talked she knew everything about me. I didn't like that she knew and others knew things about me. The one thing that stuck out to me was how she said she knew my past. I decided to not show any emotions to the information she just shared.
"Who?" I asked.
"What?" She frowned.
For a woman who seems smart she sure acts stupid.
"Who is after me?" My voice calm.
"You'll learn that in just a few minutes." She took a turn.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Your going home." She stated, "Don't tell anyone what happened tonight. Not friends, your roommate, or family. Pretend nothing happened but you had a boring night out."
"What about my car?" I asked.
"It will be there in a couple hours." She mumbled.
"If I'm in danger then how is it safe for me to be home?" I asked.
"Because he hasn't learned where you live yet. We want to keep it that way." She said firmly. "Don't leave your condo."
"I can't just stay home! Who is he and why is your team involved.?Why isn't the police involved instead?" I hissed.
"Listen!" She spat, "If you want to stay alive then you must stay home! You go around anyone other then who is inside your condo, there is a chance they'll suffer from you're bad choices."
I stiffened, knowing exactly what she meant. "What if I leave, what then? What if I change my appearance, everything. Not telling anyone who I really am beside my family. What if I leave everything I have now, leave my job, friends, just everything. Will he still be after me whoever he is?"
She looked at me, examining me like a X-ray. "He will hunt you down." She replied.
"Who is he?!" I demanded.
My heart was racing, there was only one man I could think who was a threat to me. One man who had gave me the exact same warning.
"What's his name!" I yelled.
"Drano." She answer calmly. "Drano Parker."
That name...it circled around my mind like the earths rotations. The spinning of earth on the equator, turning on its axis. Where have I heard that name before? Was he one of my victims? I could not recall the name or place it. I thought for hours where I could have known that name from.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when she pulled up across from my building. I cleared my head, getting my lie straight I would tell Lacey or anyone who questioned me.
"Here you are." She parked across the street hidden.
"Thank you." I mumbled and stuttered.
"Stay calm." She barked, "Don't give anything away."
"I know how to lie!" I snapped.
She laughed and nodded. "I can see why he likes you." I barely heard her whisper.
"Who?" I frowned.
She gulped then collected herself, "No one."
I tucked my hair behind my ear, "I better get inside."
"Remember what I said." Her voice serious.
I nodded, "What's your name?"
"Alesha." She turned to look at me.
"Well nice meeting you." I said opening the door.
"Yes it was great to finally meet you as well." She smiled an actually real smile. "Catalina?"
"Yes?" I sighed.
She handed me a personal business card, "Contact me directly any time. My office number and personal number is on there. Call any time you need."
I looked at the card reading,
Alesha Bradshaw
S.W.A.T, D.A.
Three sets of numbers written under her work position. I tucked the card in my purse, "Thanks."
I gave her coat back then quickly ran to my condo.

"Hey Cat." Lacey greeted. "Where have you been?"
I sighed, "Out."
"Where's your phone? I tried getting a hold of you." Lacey frowned looking at me in great detail much to my discomfort.
"It died sorry. I'll put it on charge." I sighed, slipping my heels off.
"Long night, eh?" She asked.
I nodded, "I'm killed out, I'm going to take a bath then go to bed."
"Scott's here, he's staying the night if that's okay." She forced a smile.
I nodded, "Yeah it's fine."

"Cat?" A voice called.
"Mmm?" I mumbled threw a sleepy yawn.
"Breakfast is done." The voice said by my ear.
"Breakfast?" I yawned.
"Come on my darling, let's get some food in you." The man chuckled.
He walked out of my room, I laid in bed relaxed. He came back minutes later and I could smell the sweet nectar of food.
I felt my bed dip on my left, "Open up."
I opened my mouth and let him put a piece of pancake in my mouth. I stayed in bed and let him feed me. Not bothering to open my eyes yet, I was to content with the long night I had and food.
Soon he stood up, my mattress going back to its normal fluffy straight. I yawned again an stretched my sore muscles. I still felt the evident soreness between my legs Robert had left behind.
I put on a sports bra and grabbed a fresh pair of shorts and a cami top. I slipped out of my room, going into the kitchen. Coffee brewing in the pot grabbed my attention. I poured me a big cup, adding sugar, and liquid carmel flavored creamer. Cool whip foamed slightly over the rim of my glass.
I took a drink, "Yum."
"Do you realize how much caffeine you're drinking in that one glass?" His voice leaked with disgust.
"What are you doing here Ryan?" I sighed ,taking another drink.
"I came to see you and talk." He replied.
