Previously we saw the aftermath of the battle between the Hero Faction along with the Khaos Brigade and the Team Dxd, it results in a complete victory for Team Dxd with several of the Hero Faction members being taken into custody, Cao Cao and Georg lose their Longinus and will only receive them once their punishment is over. Leonardo is taken to Grigori for his mental care, Jeanne is sent back to Vatican for her punishment, she is kept under watchful supervision by Vasco Strada, who volunteers to keep an eye on her. As for some of the sacred gear possessors most of them died in containment due to Ophis's snake breaking their sacred gear. After that Team Dxd take rest for the day since they managed to defeat most of the Khaos Brigade at this point. After two days Sirzechs teleports himself to Hyoudou Residence as he came to inform them about the middle term examination for Saji, Kiba and Akeno. He leaves because of some personal buisness. After that Issei and Sona head towards Saji's house to personally train him in all the things he needed to know so that he can pass the examination. One week later, Saji along with Kiba heads inside the examination building to give his exam, the first test was why he wanted to be promoted to middle class devil, the second was a written examination based on the History of the Underworld as well as the current government of the underworld. The third and final test was based on the Physical, analytical, mental as well as Magical capability of the candidate, after a few matches, the first match was between a reincarnated devil from the House of Barbatos against Saji, who easily won by using his Vitra Promotion to defeat the devil. After a while the next match was between the Bishop of the Amy Household against Kiba, who managed to win by distracting her with the Glory Drag Trooper and using his speed to defeat her when she had her guard down. The final match was basically an overwhelming victory for Akeno as she showed no mercy to her opponent, while at the same time laughing at his misery, given her sadistic nature. After that the candidates along with the trio then head home. A week later, during the lunch break Serafall comes in to give the results of the middle class promotion exam, which informed that all three had passed their examination with flying colors and are now successfully promoted to middle class devils, they all celebrate after that. But little do they know that the Khaos Brigade had successfully completed their experiment on HATE, they have created a mass weapon of destruction meant against the alliance, Rizevim wanted to make sure to put Issei under despair before destroying everything that he loves, the alliance now had to face the biggest threat they will be facing so far now.
2 months later
It was a snowy day in Kuoh, since it was the month of December, Issei was inside his home enjoying Hot chocolate, while Chara and Asriel were playing in the snow, they were having a snowball fight, Chara dragged Asia as her teammate, while Asriel dragged Frisk as his teammate, all in all they were having a good time, Raynare along with most of the girls were cooking and helping Issei's mother in the kitchen, while Issei's father had gone to office for his work, Issei was watching Dragon Ball Super, he was currently watching the Goku Black saga or the Future Trunks saga as some people called it.
That was when Issei and the others felt a presence, a familiar one in fact, the presence seemed angelic, it revealed to be Gabriel and Michael, they both were wearing a Christmas Outfit that was meant for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Issei then asked
Issei: Lord Michael, Lady Gabriel what brings you two here?
Michael: Oh Issei, we are here to invite you and your friends for a tour in heaven, since you guys helped us against the Khaos Brigade so far, and brought one of our Holy Maidens back to us, we decided to repay the favor
Issei: But why the Christmas outfits, like there is still like a few days for Christmas to take place
Gabriel: Oh it is because, we celebrate the month of Christmas, the entire month of December, we are happy for the birth of Christ and we do this all month long.
That was when the girls from the kitchen come in, Serafall and Gabriel see each other and both of them is shocked at the fact that they are in the Hyoudou Residence. They glared at each other and said
Serafall: Well, well, well if it is not my rival Gabriel, what brings you here?
Gabriel: Oh I am here to invite these guys to Heaven for a tour, I don't understand why a Maou like you would live here, like don't you have a mansion already
Serafall then smiled
Serafall: Oh because I am here with my lover, for your information, I live here because my lover lives her as well, at least I will not be a virgin like you for your entire life
Gabriel got flustered when Serafall said that
Gabriel: W-what did you say?
Serafall: You heard me correct, you live longer than me and still do not have a boyfriend, do you even have a life
Gabriel was stuttering, she was fuming in anger about her rival's statement
Gabriel: I-I will let you know that I have a life!!!!!!
Gabriel and Serafall were radiating their auras out of anger, Michael and Issei knew that they needed to stop their lover/sister from creating chaos, they knew what exactly they needed to do
Michael: Sister, calm down you know Wrath is a sin, do you want to fall?
Issei: Calm down Sera chan, we do not want chaos, there are people living among us
Gabriel and Serafall on hearing this calmed down, they knew that they were here for peace and not to settle a rivalry. That was when the other four who were playing in the snow joined them
Asriel: Hey, we sensed a killer intent, are you guys alright...........
Chara: Azzy, forget we asked, those two *points to Serafall and Gabriel* were settling their age old rivalry.
Asia: So what brings you two here Lady Gabriel, Lord Michael
Gabriel: We are here to invite you guys to heaven, since your help in fighting the Hero Faction
Frisk: Heaven as in the place were souls go to when they die
Gabriel: Yes, except you guys are getting a special access you can visit them even before you are dead, Frisk
Frisk: This is a lifetime of an opportunity, I am honored Lady Gabriel
Gabriel: Worry not, and call me just Gabriel, same goes for all of you
Michael: And me as Michael, we have been past that.
Issei: Alright if you guys say so
Miki brought snacks for the two guests that had arrived, Issei and the others were getting ready so that they can head to heaven to visit it, Issei and several others had visited Heaven once in their lives, they needed to take full advantage of the offer, since this is a lifetime of an opportunity. After a while, they all teleport and head towards the Vatican, the place where the Church exists as well as the access portal to head to Heaven.
Michael had informed Issei earlier that some of the exorcists had left their past grudges towards the other races, but he knew that there were still some more that had kept their old past and were never able to let it go, Issei told him that they might need to fight them as well as a possible attack from the Khaos Brigade, he informed this to Gabriel and they both agreed to improve on the security of Heaven.

The Church, Vatican City, 11:30 AM
Issei and the others were shocked to see the Vatican church, one of the biggest churches of all time and the place where the head of the cathedral lived, they all went inside to see what kind of a place was the Vatican, Issei knew that this would be a lifetime experience for Chara, Asriel and Frisk, since they never managed to visit any of the cathedrals before, let alone a church before since Asriel was trapped in the underground for most of his life, while Chara and Frisk were both living in America for the time being.
Rias and her peerage were also invited to visit the church because they helped in the fight against the Hero Faction, Issei and his team along with Sona and her peerage greeted the Gremory peerage and they responded kindly, they knew that this would be an amazing vacation, since they would be visiting the Church, they wanted to purchase some stuff before they head back to Kuoh.
Issei then noticed Vasco Strada, on the way he went to greet his teacher who had greeted him kindly
Issei: Vasco-sensei!!!
Vasco: That voice, Issei is that you
Issei: Yes, it is me Vasco-sensei, how are you?
Vasco: I am fine Issei, speaking of which what brings you guys to Vatican?
Before Issei could answer Michael comes in, Vasco immediately bows in front of the Seraphs who responds
Michael: Please do not bow, Vasco, you have been a great help to us so far, I still wonder why you do not want to become an angel, the heaven could use a person like you to lead
Vasco: My apologies Lord Michael, I want to die like a human, I have lived long enough to see a lot of things happen in my life.
Michael: I see
Vasco: Speaking of which how is your performance with you Durandal and your abilities.
Issei: Oh it is fine, I have improved using the blade in multiple ways and managed to take down beings stronger than me
Vasco: Oh I have heard about that against your fight against that super devil Rizevim as well as the mother goddess Gaia, you have become strong Issei, my student
Issei: Thank you Vasco-sensei
Vasco: Since you guys have come here, I might as well take you guys to a tour across the church, it has been here since centuries, maintained by the priests and the angels that come by once in a while.
Sona: I appreciate it, your eminence
They all then head inside the church halls and most of them are surprised to see the Architecture of the Church has been maintained for so long, many wanted to click photos, and thankfully they were granted special permission to do so, Vasco showed them the history of the church.
Vasco: Our Vatican Church was once a corrupt organization that used to extort people in the name of god, but now all those practices have been abolished since a long time, now we only serve the god, and any donations that are given are sent to either maintain the infrastructure of the church or to serve as supplies to the less fortunate, it is usually the latter in which most of the money goes in
(A/N: For those who do not know, the church was extremely corrupt in the middle ages and early Renaissance)
Issei and the others then proceeded inside where they saw the different locations of the church and the different areas that are present inside the church, Issei wondered how this building was maintained for such a long time, they knew that this is a place where most people dream of coming once in their life, Issei was happy that he will be able to visit heaven once again before going back to his regular studies.
Vasco then showed them a secret room that was hidden from the public using magic since if the public came to know it would cause all manner of chaos and outrage, he then unlocked the room, to show them a portal to heaven
Vasco: As you can see, this is the portal which takes to the humble abode, the heaven itself, you cannot enter heaven by any other means unless a seraphs personally takes you, you will also be needing to wear this
Vasco then shows them golden halos, Issei knew that if they needed to visit heaven then they needed to wear those.
Vasco: These are angel halos, this is meant for mostly devils since their skin will burn due to the Holy presence in the heaven.
Raynare: I see, it's been so long since I was cast out, I never managed to visit heaven since Dad never let me visit Heaven after my fall.
Issei looked at her with a sad face, he knew that she had fallen out of Heaven because of her lust, they knew that a fallen angel is not welcome in the heaven inhabited by the angels and god, it was even worse that God had died, since any and all fallen angels and devils were seen as a threat except by the Seraphs since they never hated them.
Issei: Well you can visit them once again Ray, you may feel like home
Gabriel: Issei is right, our father made a lot of mistakes in his life, maybe it was out of fear or desperation, but we are here to set things right that was done by him, we will not let history repeat itself, Lady Raynare
Raynare: I know, and you have been doing a good job so far.
Michael: Speaking of which, you guys should enjoy travelling around Vatican there are a lot of places you guys would love to visit, you should spend the day off today.
Issei: We will Lord Michael, we will.
Issei and the others then visit the Vatican city and many of it's attractions, they decide to split up and visit several of the locations there, like the several image galleries and the Sistine chapel, there Issei never managed to visit these places before because of him being a pawn of Rias Gremory but now he is free, they then visit the St. Peter's square and many other places.
They decide to settle down and eat at a restaurant and the restaurant had to take up multiple tables to accommodate for such a huge group, since Issei and his team, along with the Gremory and Sitri Peerages, the restaurant was nearly jam packed with the entire team visiting the restaurant, all in all they enjoyed having the food there.
After they left the area, they were then suddenly a voice had called them from a distance.
???: Guys!!!
Everyone turned their attention to none other than Irina, she was called back to Vatican for something important, Issei then asked what had happened to Irina to which she responded
Irina: It is my dad.....
Irina's voice had fear and sadness, she was afraid of losing her dad, Issei knew that this was the work of Masaomi Yaegi, who was revived by the Holy Grail, he assumed that Rizevim must have revived him is secret. Issei then asked
Issei: What happened to Mr. Shidou? Irina
Irina: He, he was attacked and poisoned, he has not been waking up, please help me.......
Irina's voice now had desperation, her father was being poisoned, but she had no idea what he had to do, her mother had called the doctor and he was removing the poison from him. Issei then said
Issei: Let's go Irina, we will save him, take him to us
Irina: Thanks guys
Issei and Irina then head towards the Shidou residence along with their friends, they knew that they needed to save Irina's father before it is too late.

Shidou Residence, 1:30 PM
Issei and his team went to the Shidou Residence to check on what happened with the man, from what Irina told him a man had attacked him out of revenge since most of them remembered the past timeline, they knew this was the work of Masaomi Yaegi, he was alive and he wanted revenge for what they did to Cleria Bellial.
When they entered they saw that Touji Shidou was barely awake, this was due to the efforts of the venom made from Yamata no Orochi, an evil dragon, Issei then asked
Issei: What happened Mr. Shidou, how did this happen to you?
Issei was curious since he was not there to help Irina this time, he knew that they were easy pickings, since Masaomi was a skilled exorcist who was capable of killing many devils before, so him getting off guard and getting poisoned by Masaomi was no big deal. Touji then introduced himself to the team.
Touji: Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Shidou Touji, the one who came up with this Christmas project. I am the pastor of the Protestant Church of England. As for the poisoning let me explain how I got into this situation.
Touji then began to explain the Cleria Bellial incident that had caused them to forcefully murder her and his lover to maintain the status quo that two people from different factions cannot be enemies, he was forced to kill his own colleague out of forcefulness to maintain the status quo.
Raynare and a few others were furious at what the church did to a loving and innocent couple. Raynare knew that this was not the heaven she once knew, the heaven that was built on forgiveness, ever since god has died the values and nature of heaven has plummeted to a point where it has been a simple government system, she knew that the Seraphs were trying their best to keep the heaven the way it once was, but the system is failing and they do not know how much longer they can keep doing it.
Issei pitied the couple that had passed away, he knew this story because of his memory from the past timeline and even helped give justice for Cleria Bellial, much to Diehauser's happiness, after that they even prevented the Great King Faction from having absolute power thanks to the four Satans now being informed about the decisions and the conclusions they make and they would be the approve of the situation.
Issei: Mr. Shidou you should be going to heaven for treatment, there they will treat you much better, I will inform Lord Michael.
Touji: I guess, you are right Issei, I will be heading to the church to see whether he can take there or not.....
???: Allow me the Touji
Everyone looked towards the direction of the voice revealing it to be Lord Michael, he personally decided to escort Touji to the Third Heaven for his treatment, there he would be getting proper treatment for the poison that he got infected with. Irina and Mrs. Shidou on seeing him immediately bowed before him, to which he responded.
Lord Michael: Irina, Mrs. Shidou, please do not bow in front of me, I will take Touji to heaven, on seeing his condition, it seems to be that he was infected by the venom of one of the evil dragons, known as Yamata No Orochi, from what I have heard he was slain by the Shinto god Susanoo, but he must be revived by someone.
Touji: That's not all, my former colleague is working with them, he wants to hunt me down for what I did to his lover, along with my former colleagues.
Lord Michael: I see
Lord Michael was feeling guilty for what he had gone through, he and his lover were killed because to maintain the truth about everything that is going on, he knew that he needed to set things right, before it is too late, he is expecting an attack from him and the evil dragon anytime soon. So he needed to be careful.
Lord Michael then escorted the exorcist to the third heaven to make sure he gets treated for his injuries before the it is too late, Irina and Mrs. Shidou knew that their husband would be fine since the heaven is known to have the best medical assistance when it came to the three factions, Issei and the others then left since they wanted to visit the Vatican city even more, on their way they see some more places and check out the hotel they were supposed to stay in, after dropping their bags, and resting for a while, to cover up the time difference, they all then visit the different places, Issei never saw these places given that they were in a rush to see many things before. That was when they meet someone who was waiting for them
???: Ah you must be the guests that Lady Gabriel informed me about.
The woman that called out for them was a sister with the appearance of a woman in her late 20's or early 30's with blue eyes. She seemed to be from Northern Europe and had features that were standing out like an actress. She wore a "Q" printed on the back of her hand, symbolizing her position as Gabriel's Queen.
Issei and the others recognized this woman as Griselda Quarta, one of the former top 5 exorcists, and now the current queen of Gabriel's brave saints. They knew that she could go toe to toe with most of the members of the peerages as well as put up a fight against Issei as well as Asriel and Tiamat.
Griselda: Nice to meet you, Servants of Gremory and Sitri house. I'm the Queen of one of the Four Great Seraph Lady Gabriel, Griselda Quarta. I'm regional manager for Heaven, pleased to meet you.
Issei: Indeed it is sister Griselda, my name is Issei Hyoudou and this is my sister Chara Hyoudou, along with my friends, Asriel Dreemurr, Frisk Dreemurr, Tiamat, Asia Argento, Rosswiese and finally Kuroka.
The ones mentioned all introduced themselves, Griselda had a bit of fear in her mind since there are beings in this group that can kill her in an instant like the strongest dragon king Tiamat as well as Asriel Dreemurr, the god of Hyperdeath as well as the leader Issei Hyoudou himself, the slayer of Gaia and the strongest Red Dragon emperor is present as well.
Xenovia on the other hand was in a bit of a panic just like Griselda, she always kept her distance from Issei since the incident at the three factions, now she is wondering why is Griselda under stress, the woman who was her legal guardian and the one that scared her was also now under fear, that was she called out
Xenovia: Sister Griselda!!
Xenovia walked towards the sister and the sister embraced her, she was her legal guardian after all, she missed her for so long, Xenovia also returned the embrace, after releasing the blue haired girl, Griselda then asked
Griselda: So what Lady Gabriel had informed me that you guys are here for a tour in the Heaven, so enjoy your stay in Vatican.
Issei: Alright if you say so Sister Griselda...
They all leave from the area, Sister Griselda thinks to herself
Griselda: That boy and his friends are no joke, they not only have powerful auras but are also able to sense danger from miles ahead from what I have heard, even the humans in his team are stronger than they seem, Xenovia whatever you do don't piss or anger their group by any means, they have slain Gaia who can slaughter us with relative ease, please stay safe.
*Scene Break*
Issei and the others reached the hotels, thankfully it was a single bed hotel much to the girl's sadness albeit the rooms were single so that everyone could enjoy their stay to the maximum, Issei was seen sleeping alone in his room, he wondered what he needed to do next. He asked his dragons inside
Issei: So guys what do you think is going to happen?
The boosted gear then showed up and responded
Draigg: We have not seen any action from the opposing side so far, as far as I am concerned, we are safe right now
Trihexa: No Draigg, this is the calm before the storm, these terrorists have not surrendered or given up yet, so we do not know what will happen next, so just stay on Guard I have a feeling that if things go according to the previous timeline, then......
Issei: He is after the Fruit of Life and Fruit of Wisdom, and knowing him he will achieve anything to achieve his goals.
Trihexa: Precisely, we need to be careful and most likely heaven needs to be careful, there is no telling when they will strike
Draigg: Talk about ruining another vacation, the Khaos Brigade just loves ruining the vacation of others it seems like
Issei: You got that right, you two, you got that right, now let's go to sleep
Draigg and Trihexa: Goodnight Ise
Issei: Goodnight to you two as well.

Unnamed Location, Vatican, 12:30 AM
???: So it looks like he was saved by Lord Michael, huh?
??? then looks at his arsenal, he remembers being revived for one purpose, if getting his revenge no matter what happens.
???: No matter, you might have been saved once Touji Shidou, but you will not be saved for any longer, you will die just like those fools from the Great King Faction.
??? then clenches his fists
???: I will have my revenge for what you did all those years ago, and no one will save you, not even your god, oh wait he is dead, there is no one that will save you.
??? then hides back in his living quarters waiting for further instructions from his superiors, he is determined to have his revenge one way or another.

(A/N: Bang that's it for this chapter, the next one will begin the invasion part)
(A/N(2): In canon, it was Touji Shidou that came to invite the teams to Heaven, but here Lady Gabriel and Lord Michael personally came as it may have caused some tensions towards the people living there)
(A/N(3): As the unnamed man suggests, most of the members are dead, this is in reference that the Great King faction having been killed by the vengeful lover, that's not all, many of Touji's colleges have been killed, with Touji being the last)
