Taehyung had just finished all her classes of the day and was ready to go home when her best friend Jimin approached her inside the classroom. Backpack in his shoulder walking to her with a smile on his lips, he calls her
"Tae, are you ready to go?"
"Yes, let's go?" She swings her backpack in her shoulder and gets the books on top of the desk
She's carrying 3 thick books and Jimin gets it from her
"I'll get this!"
He snatch it before Tae can refuse him
"We going to your locker to put these in there?" He ask
" no, actually I need something to get there before going home"
" You need more books? Come on Tae loosen up a little and relax, don't get tired, when you're not doing household chores, you're studying until you sleep in your study table, I'm worried about your health"
" But I need to study, exams are just months away" she said walking where the lockers are
" Okay, I'm going to carry them for you" Jimin sigh agreeing, there's nothing he can do but to always remind her and take good care of her
They were walking side by side when Mark greets her again and walked with them
"Hey Taehyung.. how are you now?"
" Hi Mark... I'm fine" she smiles at him
"I was wondering if maybe we can go out now this coming weekend? You know? have a coffee with me perhaps? " He hesitantly asked, he can't even look at Tae in the eyes while talking
" I need to study this weekend, sorry.. Maybe next time?" Tae said stopping on her tracks
" Oh, okay... Maybe I can get your number? Please.. so we can talk and you know I ah... Is it okay? " he looks at her shyly fidgeting his fingers
"I'm Sorry, even if I give you my number, I may not respond because I'm quite busy now"
" It's fine.. I just want to have your number" he insists
" Mark" Jimin calls his attention positioning himself between them
" Taehyung said she can't give it to you, stop asking. You can be her friend even without her number on your phone!" Jimin squinted his eyes on him
" Okay, sorry Tae, I guess I'll see you around. Sorry again" he walked in the opposite direction leaving Tae and Jimin in the hallway
"Are you alright Tae?" He turns to her
"Yeah I'm fine... I guess I couldn't get used to guys asking for my numbers, I almost gave it to him so he can leave already"
" You don't have to give it to them just because you want them to stop bothering you.. once they know your number they will start calling you anytime of the day" he guides her to her locker but Ria saw them and grabbed the opportunity to trigger her to get angry. She started to talk to get her attention intentionally speaking louder so she can hear them
" Having a guy best friend is no good when you have a boyfriend mostly when it's Jungkook, now I can understand him if he got tired of you.. and also if I were him, I will dump you too because obviously you can't leave her alone just in case her boyfriend leave her she always got you the 'best friend' she always have" mocking when the two pass walking at her
But Jimin is not in the mood to just let it slide not like Taehyung pretending to not heard her all along. He turn at her with a disgusting look
"You think your opinion matters? What is it to you if I were her best friend? For all I know you don't have a boyfriend or even a best friend so how can you relate?! Of course who will stay by your side if the ugly side of you is showing to your face?!" He look at her from head to foot
"And for your information, it's not Taehyung's lost if he decide to leave her just because she have a guy best friend like me! If he can't stand her having me as her friend he can get lost for all I care! She doesn't need him! And please! Before you decide to open your dirty mouth, atleast talk with facts! She's not the one cheating in the first place!"
Taehyung pulls Jimin's arm signaling him to just stop confronting the girl but Jimin didn't budge. He gave her the last look of disgust before pulling Tae to his side holding her hand firmly
He opened her locker and let her get her things before closing it again with a slam. He's not leaving her hand and got into his car to leave the premises
Jimin take a deep sigh holding the stiring wheel while Tae stay silent looking down on her lap holding a book
"Jiminie, can you stop talking back at them? I don't want you to get in trouble" she said in a soft voice. Jimin look at her slowly he got relax
"I will defend you whenever I want Tae. I wouldn't allow it mostly coming at her! That bitch! After they secretly flirt behind your back she have all the audacity to talk like that?! I almost forgot that she's a girl because I really want to slap her"
"Maybe they stop dating because I didn't see him now talking to her"
"Taehyung!.... Don't!... Don't try to defend him in front of me! You've done it before and I won't take it anymore! You saw their conversation! He's cheating on you. I saw you how hard trying to save your relationship but him? What did he do?! He got worst! Never gave you proper explanation why he's always late on your date! Because of what! That stupid project he had? Please Tae! Jungkook is smart as you, he maybe, maybe got a hard time making that stupid narrative but he wouldn't need her to help with that unless!"
Tae cries silently wiping her tears and Jimin stops. He hold her hands and wipes her tears.
" I'm sorry... Even we were start to date now I just can't help it when I'm hearing things about you. I know I just reminding you what he did. Sometimes I'm questioning myself if I'm doing right for taking care of you"
" Jiminie, don't say that... Only you is there for me so don't doubt yourself. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you for not leaving me till now, I'm always the one in recieving ends"
"don't think like that. I will always take care of you whatever happens, you're stuck with me so please bear with it" he smiles pulling her to his chest and she get calm eventually

Jungkook saw everything when the confrontation happened between Jimin and Ria. He's the one supposed to defend her to anyone. The way Jimin talks there's no doubt he knows something about the aledge cheating.. he needs to start his investigation on who messed up on his phone, the way Ria smirk on them. She's not affected when Jimin said about the cheating part
She knows something...
She walks to him pretending he care about what happened
"Are you okay?" He starts to sympathize with her
"Jungkook? Did you saw it? Obviously they are dating! He defend her shamelessly, the way he hold her hand..they were the one cheating on you.. you did the right thing dumping her"
He resisted not to defend Tae in front of her, he got to know something. He gathered all the patience he have to not talk back and just listened how she making stories to make Tae the wrong one
When he had enough, he take his leave and observe who else will come to her to talk about the incident
He needs to talk to Taehyung but it will not be easy for him now that Jimin is always with her, maybe he will have to face her best friend first before he gets the chance to talk to her and he needs to act fast
He saw Mark making his move to date Tae..he don't know what would he felt seeing Tae dating someone. If he only knew. Jimin tried to convince Tae to date him already
His new phone rings and he answer it without knowing who's calling
"Hello sir?"
"Yeah, do you have something for me?"
"We had been tracing the numbers in your phone and having a copy of the conversation you had with someone.. seems like the numbers are registered to one owner"
" Nice work.. give me name who the owner and date when the messages has been sent..thank you!" And he cut the call
That is one of the employees of his dad in I.T. department. He needs they help and dad recommend him. He already explained things to his mom too so she won't kicked him out again this coming weekend. He missed them already
