I nodded my head in conformation of what hunter had just stated from what I told him
"And there's another sister also who's like 7 years older than I am and older than dave and a brother who's apparently the same age as I am meaning we are literally 2 months apart that man was living a whole double life"
"What the hell is wrong with him?"
"Exactly I can't believe I used to long for the day I would ever meet him I wish I could turn back time it seems the only good thing I got out of that apparently was my long lost sister I don't know her all that well yet but she does seem pretty cool very ambitious but still a sweet girl nonetheless"
"Double life? Damn...that's not some type of shit you'd ever pull on me right?"
I turned my head towards hunter and give him a mischievous smirk "fuck around and find out"

I snorted so hard the water I had in my mouth from the sip I just took fell out of my mouth "baby of course not you should know I'm just playing around with you I love what I got at home and wouldn't change what we've got for the world"
"That's what I like to hear" hunter cheesed with a boyish grin
"Anyways enough about me what's been going on over there And why is your business trip so damn long?"
"I know, I know I'm sorry but apparently heaths had to postpone with these investors like 5 times already and he heard they were thinking about backing away from an important investment he orchestrated about a year ago yadyadayada babe I don't think I understand myself I'm only here to help him out and he's got a lot of work to get done over Here"
"Damn that sounds a bit stressful"
Hunter sighed "you don't even know"
Hunter and I continued to chat for a few more hours until I fell asleep which I ended up regretting having to wake up to a dead phone
"Fuck" I muttered to myself having realized that my charger hadn't been working
With a slight groan I got up off my bed with a yawn and stretch I made a beeline towards the bathroom did my business then exited feeling more awake now than I did 20 minutes ago
I went over to my desk top pulled out my emergency portable charger then plugged in my phone next I pulled out my laptop and began to update myself on what was going on this morning
Nothing much but I didn't feel like spending my day inside today I decided I wanted to go out and do something not alone though but Jennifer was busy with school today and Dave was out of state for a couple of days visiting a friend of his I would call up that guy I met at work he seemed chill and all but I didn't really know him that well yet maybe another time
Come to think of it I really didn't have many friends but is that even really bad though? I've heard nothing but bad things whenever you had too many people in your crowd yeah at times when I wanted to do things it was a sad thought to come across but boy was I probably saving myself from unnecessary drama
Ok when I put it like that maybe I should say saving myself from more drama me being with hunter wasn't exactly a proud moment of mine to say the position I put I put myself in with him so to speak but what the hell could I have done about it now I loved the guy
Feeling my nerves starting to creep in and my heart starting to race at the thought of having to tell Jen the truth soon I took a deep breath in and out trying to let the thought go it worked for a while but I needed a distraction that would completely take away the thought for the moment
Thankfully as if on cue my phone rang and a pic of me and Krista popped up without hesitation I swiped right answering the call thankful for her timing "Krista! hey"
I cringed at how preppy I made my voice sound it sounded like I didn't have anything to do
"Hey heaven! your awake, shit, of course, your awake that's why I called oh my I-I'm sorry that sounded wrong I mean I wouldn't know whether or not your awake it's just...I'm just gonna stop talking now" I couldn't help but to giggle at Krista's nervous ramblings it was adorable
"Krista it's all good girl relax I'm not overthinking why you called me and neither should you what's up?"
"Your right I'm sorry, so well the reason I called was to invite you to an event an intimate family event really I don't know whether or not you'd agree to it but I figured, sure enough, it couldn't hurt to at least ask so here goes" I listened as Krista took in a breath but didn't say anything
"My—your I mean our sister is having a baby 6 months along and were hosting a baby shower over at the house I was wondering if you'd like to tag along with me maybe it's the perfect place for you to finally meet the rest of the gang I don't know what do you think?"
Ok so I wasn't expecting that
How the hell was I supposed to answer that? Meet the gang? As in the family? How—what I only just met Krista not too long ago isn't this a little too soon?
My mind then began to drift in the direction that Krista was probably just asking me to tag along out of courtesy she had to have known this was all too soon also right?
"Heaven are you still there?"
"Oh-uh-uhm-yes yea I am um..you want me to be your plus one to your sisters I mean our sister's baby shower?"
"Yeah I'm asking but if your not up to it that's okay it's no pressure or obligation I just figured I wou—
"Okay"
"Okay?"
"Okay, I'll go" I don't even know why I said that was I a stickler for trouble? That had to be it I didn't see this day ending anyway way else but in a disaster
But then again there was the side of me that decided to look into the positive side what if they weren't as bad as I made them out to be in my head what if they were as open and welcoming to me just as Krista had been it was a possibility
But then again there was another negative factor that I didn't take into consideration before Henry my sperm donator
I didn't plan on ever seeing that mean again now I might possibly run into him nope nope nuh-uh I'm shutting this shit down right now

"Great—great be ready by noon and I'll be around yours by 12:30 just text me your address and we'll figure out the rest later"
I didn't get in another word before Krista had hung up the phone leaving me with the feeling of full regret
