7 seven years since that fateful day where Arashi and everyone on Tenrou Island had mysteriously disappeared. Magnolia was still the same as it always was, but a few things had changed.
Outside the city lies a building with a familiar guild mark as well as some familiar faces.
"Hey is it just me or have we lost a lot of members?" A now more mature Max asked as the guildhall looked practically empty
"I guess that's to be expected, our guild's reputation had fallen so much over the years that we're barely able to get any job requests." An older Warren explained.
Just then they heard the guild doors open and a gang walked in.
"How pathetic, no matter what time I come here, the place is always quiet. Seems no one wants to bring their business to this crummy guild." The leader spoke
"I thought I told you to never set foot here again." Macao told them
"Watch it now, Twilight Ogre's the baddest guild right now in Magnolia and you're lucky to still have this crummy guild of yours. I'd watch my mouth if I were you. Now pay up, rents due." T bo announced
"Are you telling me you haven't paid them yet Macao?!" An angry Wakaba asked the guild master.
"We don't have money cause of the lack of jobs there's been, we'll pay it full next month." He told them.
The group just smiled and T bone sucker punched Macao and his minions destroyed the guild hall, then they were on their way. The guild fell in silence, everyone was remorsing over the loss of their friends still clinging to the hope that they're still alive somewhere.
Just then the entire guildhall began to shake, worrying what it was everyone went outside and saw the new and improved Christina from Blue Pegasus was above them. Ichia had announced that Tenrou island still exist and they shall take them there. They couldn't believe what they were hearing, the guys took their offer and set sail.
A few hours of sailing they came across a little girl standing in the middle of the ocean.
Beams of light began to come from the ocean, huge ripples were created and soon an entire island known as Tenrou Island emerged from the sea. Everyone couldn't believe their eyes, then they saw the little girl make her way to the island and they immediately followed her.
The next day
Back in Magnolia, the guild master, Romeo and the ladies all stayed behind to look after the place.
"Hey Romeo, I hope you're not mad about staying behind."
"Nah, even if they found the island, I doubt anyone is still alive." Romeo coldly responded not looking up from the book he was reading.
"Holy cow, this place looks even more deserted than yesterday." T bo's voice was heard
"I thought we agreed that we'll pay you next month?"
"Well I did mentioned it to our master but he said no way in hell."
"Screw your Master." Romeo told them
"I'd suggest you watch your tone brat." T bo threaten as he pulled out his club
"Leave my boy alone!!" Macao yelled as he tried to stop T bo from hurting his son.
Romeo was waiting for the impact, but it never came. Slowly opening his yes, he saw that T bo and his gang had lost consciousness and soon all dropped like flies.
Everyone's eyes widen at the sight in front of them, not believing who finally showed up after 7 long years.
"Sup everyone, we're home." Arashi grinned as was being held up by Natsu and Erza
"Sorry for keeping you waiting for so long." Happy happily spoke
Everyone started talking about how much the guild has change and everyone else was hoping what happening in front of them is not a dream.
"You guys look so young!!"
"Tell us what happened"
"Well..." Lucy began
Soon they were all told what had happened, that one of Fairy Tail's Legendary spells, Fairy Shield, was activated and protected them from Acnologia's breath attack. It was all thanks to the first guild master Mavis.
Arashi's POV
Holly hell, a lot has changed. It really did break my heart that while we were gone, those who stayed behind suffered through out the seven long years. But I could tell their spirts were never broken in those seven years. We jammed packed seven years of drinking, dancing and singing all in one night.
I'm pretty sure I blacked out at some point, but I'm just so happy to be back.
While everyone was catching up the next day, I've decided to check on my house, gotta make sure it's intact after 7 long years. Once I finally arrived and opened the door, I was met with lots of dust and rats.
"Welp, this place isn't going to clean it self up." I cracked my neck and began to work
It took a few hours but I finally managed to clean the whole place up
"I'm exhausted, I could use a drink." I said to myself before teleporting back to the guild.
I teleported back and saw Lamia scale had arrived.
"Oh hey guys, what'd I miss?"
"Hey Ari, I was just telling everyone how Lamia scale and Blue Pegasus helped search for y'all the longest." Max explained
I walked over to them and bowed giving my respects.
"Thank you for not giving up on us."
"Hey don't mention it, just glad you're all okay." Jura told me.
"and where were you handsome?" Ur asked as I felt an arm wrapped around my neck
"Oh just at our home, cleaning 7 years of dust was no joke."
"You could have told us, we could have come and helped you." Lucy said next
"Yeah but after that seven year nap, I needed something challenging to get back in the groove of things." I told her
Then I was tackled my Erza.
"Ow what the? Erza?! Why did you tackle me?"
She then held a picture of some girl and tears were streaming down her cheeks.
"Alzack and Bisca got married and they have a little girl!!" She bawled
I looked over to them and smiled
"Congratulation you two when did this happen?"
"Its been a few years."
"Your daughter looks very adorable." I complimented them
Erza kept crying about it so it took a while, and a couple of strawberry cake slices to finally calm her down.
We soon went to Twilight Oger's guild to discuss about some...financial issues...
"I'm not playing games old man, I ain't got nothing else to say to you. There's no way i'm going to backing own till your guild pays me back the debt they owe me." The guild master of Twilight sternly told us
"I would like nothing more than to pay you, but i'm sure you're well aware of our predicament we found ourselves in." Master kindly told him
"You're business records have a lot of holes in them, it makes us wonder if we're paying more than we really owe." Mira pointed out
"Care to explain?" Erza demanded
"You tramp!! Are you accusing me of fraud or something" The guild master of Twilight yelled
This pissed me off and I was about to draw my sword out but Master raised his hand signaling to stand down.
"Now now, we're not accusing you of anything. We'll make to pay you back the proper amount with interest.... someday."
I could tell this was pissing him off.
"Now's how's about we renegotiate our interest rate huh?" Master asked
But the idiot wasn't having it.
"I don't renegotiate with deadbeats who beat up my boys. We have reputations to uphold ya hear!!"
My patient was running very thin here.
"Understood, we only came here to discuss about money but if you want to talk about reputation..." Master paused before snapping his fingers
I used my conquers Haki and knocked out all the Twilight members in the room, leaving only the guild master standing.
"Get payback for it's owed right? That's your motto... much like an eye for an eye." Master got serious
"When you put it like, you guys owe us 7 years worth property damage and abuse." Erza began to release her magic power.
"It would seem you owe us, it's only fair we claim each time you stepped foot in our guild." Mira also began to release her magic.
"All the suffering my children endured the last 7 years brings pain to this old man's heart. so if it's war you want, then it's war you're gonna get!!" Master threaten him.
All hell broke lose in Twilight Ogres guild.
The next day
It was a good thing I kept some money off to the side because some parts of the house needed some immediate repairs, not to mentions the bills pilling up over the past 7 years.
"My poor wallet...I'm completely broke." I whined as I entered the guild and saw Natsu looking at the job.
We really need to get more job requests
"Isn't there anything big going on right now? I could really some extra money here." I asked out loud as looked over the job request board
"Actually there is." Kinana answered catching my attention.
I walked over to her and took a seat.
"There's this big event called the Grand Magic Games where all the guilds in Fiore compete. The winner is declared the stronger." She explained.
"Yup and Sabertooth has been the number one guild for a while." Max added in
"Who's Sabertooth?" Natsu asked
"They are the strongest guild right now, I heard that once they got a new master they've been climbing up the ranks like crazy." Romeo explained
"So what place are we?" I asked out of curiosity
"Dead last, they call us Wimpy Fail." Alzack said with pity
This caused me to grin
"I say this works out perfectly. Everyone loves the underdog, this is a perfect chance to show them that Fairy Tail is back in business." I suggested
"Spirits good and all but while you guys were gone, insanely strong wizards started showing up. I'm sorry but I don't think we'll make it far. Warren truthfully spoke
"Oh yeah?! Why don't you show us if you guys are so sure of it." Natsu yelled
"Gladly." Max signaled us to go outside.
So we all followed and Max and Natsu were getting ready for their little sparing match. I got to say I was shocked, Natsu was being pushed back by Max, it made me really wonder how much of a gap the Tenrou team had to catch up.
"Lightning Flame Dragon Mode!!!" Natsu yelled
"What the hell!?!" I was in disbelief
Lightning flame dragon: Roar!!!!"
The entire ground shook and we were all in awe.
"Aww man I thought that would be like 100 times stronger." Natsu complained
"Are you insane!?! We're pretty much broke as it is, you want add colateral damage on top you idiot?!" I yelled as whacked him with one my swords with the scabbard still on.
"When did you figure out you use that technique?" Lucy asked
"Just now" Natsu casually responded to Lucy
But Natsu immediately fell over and face planted to the ground.
"Well it's kind of good thing he used this kind of power right now when there's danger, he'd pretty much be useless if he used it in battle." I squatted down and poked Natsu to see if he was still breathing.
"Laxus and Gildarts are still powerhouses and Ari is the runner up behind them, but the rest of have been asleep for the past seven while everyone else had training." Gray stated
"Yeah you're right" I agreed with Gray
I began to think back on my fights, with Hades and Acnologia. It took everything I had to barely land a scratch on Acnologia.
How can I get even more stronger? My Haki definitely does need some improvement but what about my swords, is there anything I can do about them? What if I taught everyone Haki? Would that better our guild's strength? Sensei did say everyone has Haki deep within them and only a rare few has conquer's. So maybe it's not a bad idea.
"ri...Ari....Ari!!" Lucy yelled my name snapping me out of my thoughts
"Sorry what happened now?"
"Come one, Master has announcement to make."
So we all walked back to the guild and saw everyone had gather in front of Master.
"I've done all I can for you children but I think it's time for me to step down." Master spoke
So he finally found someone to take over.
"It gives me great honor to announce your new guild master Gildarts."
We all look over to where he was pointing but there was no Gildarts, only Mira giving us a smile.
It turned out that Gildarts dipped once he found out he was going to be guild master but was kind enough to leave us a letter.
As temporary guild master, he lifted Laxus's expulsion and was once again a Fairy Tail member and lastly he appointed Master as guild master again. And boy master was hella pissed. Ended up chugging a barrel of liquor just to get back in a good mood.
