It had been only a day since the event that wrecked the town, but people had found ways to pass the time with a destroyed city. The main thing that had been driving moral was the sports that people had found ways to play. Most of all was Julie who had her championship still going while also coaching Noah. However there only audience was there friends and their opponents where Clair and lucy who had returned to her human form.
Noah: this is nothing like table tennis, you lied to me.
Julie: this is just like it. You work with a partner to set up shots and get the ball over the net.
Rex: you said you wanted to do something.
Noah: I mean spar like those guys.
He points over at ben and Kevin who are standing not too far apart, Kevin slams down on his antitrix he turns into bashmouth while ben looks at his new alien, shocked that having 11 active pods hasn't messed with the watch so far and he turns into his new alien, hovering off the ground while in the form of a ghost. The omnitrix hiding underneath the skin, peaking out about halfway up it's chest.
Gwen: is that a new alien?
Ben: yeah, I'm thinking of calling him ghost freak.
Gwen: ghost freak?
Annie: so, ghosts are real? And their aliens?
Clair: that somehow explains so much and basically nothing.
Lucy: first a to'kustar and now an Ectonurite. What else does that thing have.
Ben: celestialsapien DNA, since our fight with alien x. Not to brag or anything
Lucy: turn into him right now. I need to see this.
Ben: I don't know the DNA code.
Kevin leaps at him and flies right through him. Shocked Kevin tries to chomp down on ben but finds that ghostfreek is intangible.
Ben: if I can fly and go through walls, I wonder what else this guy can do.
He flies into Kevin and overshadows his body. Flying it upwards and throwing it down, over and over again, throwing him into a wall before timing out and grabbing a hold of his head, as if he had a head ache.
Kevin: what was that for ben?
Ben: I don't know. I just felt more aggressive when ghostfreak. Like I couldn't control him.
Gwen: like rath?
Ben: no, with rath I at least know what I'm doing. That felt like I was being taken over, and yet it felt amazing. I've got to do that again.
Gwen: maybe you shouldn't.
Ben: it's even weirder that I now have 11 aliens active and the watch hasn't started freeking out.
Annie: freeking out?
Gwen: when he has 11 aliens active at once his omnitrix starts acting out and acting weird, like constantly switching him between aliens. It's only happened once but Phil still has that data and it was made known to us after vilgax took gax from the omnitrix.
Circe: that sounds like it could be a big problem.
Rex: and we just got my nanites out of there like two weeks ago. Now that could happen.
Ben: last time it was almost instantaneously. This time it's just fine. No issues. And with me now being 11, maybe I should start going by ben 11 instead of ben 10.
Noah: nah, ben 10 just flows better.
Kevin: besides I'm the 11 around here.
Rex: so what do you want to do now?
Lucy: since I'm drying out over here. I'm going to go and get some water.
She walks off and the others get into the make shits bleachers that providence had set up to try and keep moral up.
Annie: I can't believe your related to a mud alien.
Ben: I can, have you met us?
Clair: after learning that the alien Evo that ran through town was an alternate version of Gwen. I'd believe anything you guys told us.
Kevin: yeah, you were hard to hold down.
Gwen: I'd imagine that I'd be better with the omnitrix then you two.
Ben: you take that back.
Gwen: nope. And you can't make me.
Ben slumps in his seat as he looks at the silhouette of ghostfreak, knowing he shouldn't but wanting to. There was just something about this new alien that was calling to him. He tried to slam down the faceplate but rex grabbed his arm.
Rex: you really shouldn't not till you know more about this guy.
Lucy walking back: so what did I miss you guys?
Ben: not much, just kind of chilling out here.
Circe: other than ben trying to use ghostfreak again.
Ben: so what, I like the guy.
Lucy: I'd be careful. There aggressive and have a need to overshadow someone. Usualy they don't last long in daylight. That skin must have been some kind of protective skin. Where did you even get the DNA for them?
Gwen: what do you mean?
Lucy: there from the anur system. That's not even in this galaxy. And from what I've seen all your aliens have come from this galaxy.
Ben: it must have been that ghost guy in the null void.
Lucy: you went up against Zs'Skayr and won?
Ben: he just kind of stuck his hand in the omnitrix before moving on once azmuth called him out. Why is this scare guy the only one in the null void?
Lucy: he was locked away years ago by the galvan for trying to take over more than just there home planet. He's bad news.
Ben: I guess that's why azmuth was able to call him off.
Kevin: that small dark matter guy?
Ben: dark matter is the lanky one. All of his species are that small.
Julie: enough with the exposition. Let's get back to the game.
Noah: I've never been more happy then now to get back to it.
The pair return to training on opposite ends of the court as lucy askes ben to turn into overflow so that he can get some moisture into the air. Ben did so, filling the air with as much moisture as over flow could handle, lucy feeling great about not drying out.
