With everybody gathered in Gwen's house, there only waiting on a few other people to arrive.
Carl: thanks for letting us stay here with you guys while our house is being fixed up.
Frank: anything for family, besides it's just the heater that needs to be fixed up right? With the kids off and with you guys here, it'll be the best holidays we've had in a while.
Meanwhile the kids where on the couch and looking out of the window.
Rex: so, this ken is your brother.
Gwen: he's much older than me. He's in collage now but he's coming home for the holidays.
Ben: ken is one of the coolest guys I know.
Kevin: I'm standing right here.
Circe: nobody invited you, Kevin.
Kevin: I've got nowhere else to go. It's not liked my stepdad cares about the holidays or anything.
Natalie: just don't make a mess kid. I still want a house in the new year. So, no aliens and no Evo powers.
Bobo: does that mean you're kicking me out?
Natalie: if you keep eating all my food, I might just.
She turns to rex
Natalie: now remind me how he talks.
Rex: nanites. It's the answer to a lot of your questions.
Carl: I'm just happy that we get to be a full family this year.
Circe: what do you mean this year?
Sandra: over the past few years we've been split apart ever Christmas for one reason or another. Weather that be vacations not being able to be gone on, max being busy with something, ken not being able to make it home or something else. Not to mention that this year we have you, rex and the talking monkey.
Bobo: my name is Bobo. Why does everybody just call me a talking monkey?
Rex: because you are.
Bobo: point taken.
Kevin: I'm just happy to be celebrating with people who know how to throw something resembling a party this year.
Circe: we didn't really do Christmas in abyss.
Rex: I thought the nanite event happened in the winter.
Circe: November of last year is technically winter.
Rex: November of last year? That's weird. I remember waking up in January.
Bobo: I remember that day as well. You showed that white knight what we're made of.
Ben: I wonder what presents I've gotten this year.
Gwen: really, haven't you learned anything from that incident back with the weather heads back in summer?
Rex: what happened with the weather heads over the summer?
Ben: something we call the feels incident where I learned that the presents aren't the things that matter but rather who you spend the holidays with.
Circe: in summer?
Max: yeah, it was a weird day.
Rex: to bad Noah isn't here.
Circe: let him enjoy his time with his parents.
Kevin: I mean half of us don't have them.
Rex: no need to announce it to the world.
Kevin: whatever. I'll see you losers later.
He walks up the stairs and into the bathroom where he locks himself in.
Ben: what's his problem?
Gwen: what do you think it is ben?
Ben: I don't know, this isn't much worse than usual.
Rex: he doesn't have a family to go to. The best he's got is us and you kind of hate him.
Ben: I don't hate him, anymore, I just wish his attitude wasn't so...
Gwen: like yours?
Ben: don't ever say that again.
Circe: but it's kind of true ben. I mean you both mainly only think about yourselves.
However, the talk is cut short when a falling apart car broke down out front of the street. The door was frozen short, and ben runs out in his white and green jacket, and he turns into Heatblast. His flames keeping him warm as he unfroze the car and pulled, he pulled the man out of it. He brought the man inside and timed out.
ken: where did that fire monster go?
Ben: I'm that fire monster.
Ken: wait, you turned into that fire monster? Don't tell me you've become just like jessie.
Gwen: jessie?
Ken: yeah, one minute we're on a nice date and the next she's some kind of ice monster and some government guys jump down and take her. One of them was called six or something.
Rex: you met six?
Ken: you know him? And who are you?
Rex: my name is rex Salazar. And you've met six?
Ken: I guess. You know that guy?
Rex: kind of. It's a whole other story. But I'm glad to meet you ken.
Ken: nice to meet you too rex, did you adopt a kid or something mom?
Natalie: oh no, that one's your granddad's problem. We have Circe.
Ken: Circe?
Circe walks over and looks at him.
Circe: this is your brother?
Gwen: yes, it is. Hey ken.
She and ben tackle hug him.
Ken: I've missed you two so much. I bet you have a lot to tell me about what you've been up to since I left. Especially with ben being able to turn into some kind of flaming monster.
Ben: oh, I've got like 9 more of these aliens.
Ken: aliens? Is that what happened to jessie? She got turned into some kind of alien.
Rex: probably more like she Became an Evo.
Ken: Evo?
Bobo: Exponentially Variegated Organism. Come on does nobody watch the news?
Ken: why is the monkey talking?
Bobo: I'm an Evo as well. Probably the best looking one there is.
Circe: you're not even in the top 10. Trust me, I've seen a lot of them.
Ken: is there some kind of cure for her?
Rex: you're looking at him. After the snowstorm I'm supposed to be going over there to cure what I can of those who were left after alpha attacked.
Ken: sounds like I missed a lot.
Gwen: you have no idea.
Ken: then fill me in.
Meanwhile Kevin was still locked in the bathroom, and he was washing his face.
Kevin: why can't you act normal for 5 minutes. Don't wreck this. You've earned this.
He looks in the mirror and sees a reflection of the forever knight.
Forever knight: have you earned this?
Kevin: yeah, I've changed a lot since I've gotten rid of you.
Forever knight: you will pay for that. Later for now I need you to go and retrieve my robotic head from that phil.
Kevin: nope, not dealing with this today. I don't know how you're back in my head, but I don't want anything to do with you anymore. Got it?
Forever knight: fine, I'll back off. For now. Sooner or later there going to turn on you. There not your friends, and they will ditch you if they need to. They won't come back for you, and you would leave them in an instant.
Kevin walks out ad slams the door.
Ben: you ok up there Kevin?
Kevin: just dealing with something.
Circe: is it something about your old mentor coming back when you least expect him?
Kevin: you don't know that.
He runs off into a different room and uses crystalfist to lock himself in.
Ken: you weren't kidding about Kevin where you?
Gwen: he's still a little bit of a jerk but he's not as bad as he used to be, and he's fighting for the right side now. Even if he won't admit it.
Ken: and that with can turn you into one of 10 aliens?
Ben: and if I know their code, I can get thousands more.
Gwen: how many pods did you think you saw in the omnitrix when we took down the Fulmini
Ben: I'd say over a million. Also, azimuth told me so himself.
Max: I still don't like the fact that we barley know azimuth.
Ken: so how did Kevin get his watch?
Ben: he made it in his garage.
Ken: WHAT?! HOW?!
Max: vilgax sent to him in a dream from the null void.
Ken: oh, that makes sense.
Rex: and we haven't even gotten to the nanite event.
Suddenly the lights all go out. Ben changed into shockrock, and the room filled with a soft blue glow.
Natalie: what did I say about alien's ben?
Ben: sorry aunt Natalie but I can't just go back to normal.
Natalie: sorry ben. It's fine it's just been a long day. There's a generator in the basement if you want to try and get it up and running.
Rex: I'll go with you. I'm starting to get better with my powers.
The pair descend into the basement where ben touches the generator, and it starts moving as it filles with blue electricity.
Ben: I didn't do anything. I just tapped it.
Rex: maybe we should consider ourselves lucky then. Less work for us to do.
Ben: I don't know. Something just feels wrong.
Rex: come on, I bet they could still use a little shockrock action up there.
Ben: I hope so, or else I changed for nothing.
He times out as the pair are halfway up the stairs and they find the living room had a giant red breach in the middle of it.
Circe: Everybody get back. It's one of breach's breaches.
They all get back other than ben, Gwen, max, rex and Circe as Circe extends her jaw out, rex forms his smack hands, Gwen gets her energy shields and max get his blasters, Bobo comes out of the kitchen and immediately joins in with the rest of the lineup.
Sandra: how bad do you think this is going to be?
Carl: let's hope it's not as bad as those bug brothers who destroyed our house.
Ken: bug brothers?
Ben: I'm still on cool down here.
Rex: and where's Kevin?
Gwen: locked in some room up there.
Max: come on kids, let's show this guy who's boss.
The breach clears up and in it they spot van Kleiss.
Van Kleiss: so good to see all of you in one place. Just wanted to wish you all a happy holiday.
Circe: we're done with you. And why do you have captain nemesis working for you?
Van Kleiss: all in due time my lovely young Evo. And don't think I didn't notice how that alien watch looked after you left. What with it crackling green energy. There's something about abyss that it can't handle, and it may have something to do with the very Evo standing next to you.
Rex: what do you mean?
Van Kleiss: remember to when you first met.
The breach closes and everybody stands down as Gwen looks up to the room that Kevin was locked in. ben rushed up the room and used four arms o barge his way in. finding the room empty as he looked around.
Ben: Kevin isn't here.
Ken: guess he's bailed.
Gwen: in this kind of weather. He must be freeing.
Ben: or hotshot. He does have a fire alien.
Rex: why would van Kleiss worn us like that?
Circe: I don't know but I don't like the sounds of it.
Max: it's a good thing then that you two are heading to providence later.
Ken: If I'm going to be sticking around for the next week, then I should go and set up in my old room then.
Frank: unfortunately, we had to give that room to Circe when she came to live with us.
Natalie: and it was a guest room after you didn't come back last year.
Ken: so, onto the couch it is?
Max: or you could always stay with me, rex and Bobo in the rustbucket.
Ken: sure, that works. They all get around the fire as ben changes back to normal and the snow clears away, even if just slightly.
