Alrighty! This is for Vama Shah. She's been MY Love Guru these days, and I'm in debt to her. Cause without her motivation, I would have still been down in the dumps = no updates. So thank her for that! We haven't been in contact for a long time, but we've ALWAYS gotten along really well...!!

Female Casanova's babbyy =D

Chapter 7

“Get your ass out of that dressing room now Cara!! It can’t be that bad,” Saph said in frustration.

“Give me a second alright?!” I replied even more annoyed then she was. I don’t know why she was complaining- I was the one getting all dolled up. I looked at myself in the mirror, and grimaced as I took in the bright pink palate of the dress that clashed horribly with my skin. The shoulders were poufy and off-shoulder, making me look ten times fatter than I actually was. I sighed and stepped out of the stall, my eyebrows scrunched together and then-

FLASH!!

I blinked rapidly, I could see stars. First thing I saw when my sight cleared up was Saph was laughing, holding onto her stomach, and camera in her free hand.

“What the FUCK Saph!! What part of NO PICTURES do you NOT understand?!” I yelled at her trying to swipe the Nikon away from her, but tripping over the poufy skirt part in the process.

She just laughed and pranced a little to the right of me where she brought out another dress- an orange one with a pink satin bow at the front, a plastic gem holding it in place. WHO makes this shit?!

“No Sapphire, not that one; come on! Are you color blind or something?! Can you not see the pink and orange together?!” I said in outrage.

She sighed, “Fine, why don’t you go choose out something, we’ve already been through almost twenty dresses.”

My jaw dropped, “Twenty?! Are you sure?”

She gestured at the huge rainbow of dresses piled up to more than half my height. Then she shoved me towards the line of dresses along the

There were rows and rows of colour that just hit my eyes, blinding me, "can this place get even for colourful?!" I asked slight amused. Without saying a word sapphire who was right next to me picked off a dress from the rack- a multicoloured frilly dress. Aparently, it could.

Sapphire dotted away, prancing through to the back of the racks, me trying to stay out of sight of anyone I knew, as I still had on that disgusting dress. I flitted through the dresses, not even finding one I liked in ten minutes. I sighed and decided to go to Sapphires side of the rows.

"I'm a barbie girl, in a barbie world, life is fantastic, I'm plastic. You can brush my hair, and take me anywhere..."

I got to my phone before it could do more collateral damage to my already damaged image, I tripped over my own feet this time, but grabbed the phone in a ninja-like fashion before I hit the floor, sliding the call on.

"Hey," I said slightly out of breath and wincing at my slightly carpet burned elbow.

He simply said, "Cara," and I immediately knew who it was.

"Hey Blade, what’s up?" I asked, blowing on my now scalded elbow, which was blazing red now.

"Are you trying to whistle?” He asked amused.

I scowled at him, “No dickwad- I tripped over my own feet in this stupid ugly dress that Saph made me try out, and now my elbow is on fire.”

I could practically feel him raising my eyebrows at me, “I highly doubt that your arm is on fire, but if you are, you know the drill, stop, drop and roll.” He laughed, “You can stop frowning at me now.”

I was surprised, how did he know, “Do you control micro camera’s in here or something,” I asked, actually scanning the room for them, “You realize that called perving?”

He chuckled, “Oh, right, like you don’t perv on me all the time.”

“I don’t perv on you!” I snapped.

“No need to deny it Aphrodite, I know you want a piece of this,” he stressed on the last word.

“So much for the chivalry,” I snorted.

“Well, you got to take what you can get,” he joked, then his tone lightened again, “How’re you holding up?”

I frowned again, closing my eyes, and sitting up, “Yeah I’m alright… They haven’t brought him out of that coma yet, said that it’s going to be another couple of days before they bring him out of it.”

“I wasn’t asking about him,” Blade said bitterly.

“Oh!” I said surprised, “Well, yeah, about Dad, I’m dealing with it, come on, it was over and done eleven years ago… All this is just- doesn’t exactly bring back good memories.”

“Yeah- I can understand,” he said, most would have said that he doesn’t… But my Dad was just as much his loss as it was mine.

Silence.

Then Blade began, “Well… Um, Xavier obviously isn’t going to be out before the ball on Friday. I was wondering-” he stopped himself, and he seemed to be having an internal debate with himself,

“I was wondering if you’d want to go together, you know- as mates, I mean,” I didn’t catch the pun, which was obviously intended.

I answered without hesitation, I mean, what’s the harm, even though I could feel my heart lighter, “That would be great. But I think its best we take my Bugatti.”

He chuckled lightly, “I think it’s about time you met my baby.”

My eyebrow cocked up on its own accord, “You never told me that you have a car.”

“You never asked,” he retorted.

That’s true, I thought.

Silence again.

“Well-” we both said in unison, and then laughed.

“Jinx! You owe me a soda,” I said grinning.

I could feel him grin back at me, “I’ll keep that in mind Aphrodite.”

I sighed, peeking out the dressing room- Saph still rifling through racks and rows of dresses, “I better get going Blade,” I said, not really so pleased with that fact.

He didn’t seem pleased either, “Are you sure you have to go?”

I laughed at him, the warmth of his voice radiating through me, “Fine, five more minutes.”

That five minutes lasted fifteen more then I said it would. But it was totally worth it. I got off the phone fully and completely content.

I sighed, and got up, brushing off the non-existent dirt off the pink dress I was still wearing.

I walked back over to the dresses, shuffling through them, but half heartedly. All I could think about was Blade these days, and that’s what made me so guilty, when I have a boyfriend who had a serious surgery and might still have cancer, and who’s also in an induced coma in the hospital. My life seriously was like a soap opera, and I didn’t like it one bit.

I knew that one day I would have to break it off with Xavier… I thought that day would be coming soon. But now, I just couldn’t. When he comes out of the coma, he would need all the support he could get, and his girlfriend that he loved breaking up with him won’t help him one bit.

Xavier and I never used to be like this. He never used to drink, or smoke, or any of it. High school changes everything. Our first two years together was perfect- we were actually named the perfect couple by our peers.

I smiled as I remember how he asked me out, we were our paint balling, our whole class in freshman year. He had me cornered, his gun pointing right at my heart, and shot. I chased after him, gun abandoned, rubbing my chest, and caught up with him jumping on his back. I asked him why the hell he did it, twisting his ear in my hand, and he just asked me out then and there- with me on his back.

Since then we were inseparable, and it was good until the start of junior year, when he started hanging out with some one the senior students, and since then our relationship went downhill… He started going out for hours together reaching home beyond midnight, going to beer pongs, and bars.

At first I thought it was just a phase, so I let it go. But it continued. His grades started to deteriorate, and he got detention every other week. He started to get bags under his eyes, and became very snappy with me, but still I held onto him, thinking that it was a phase.

I squeezed my eyes shut for a moment, and thought, I guess all that doesn’t count for anything now. I opened my eyes again wearily. Then my eyes snapped open as I saw a dress that caught my eye, and grimaced in revulsion- green and yellow. Who comes up with this shit!? I sighed looking around me; I don’t think I’ll ever find something I like in this god damned place- or anywhere else for that matter.

And I started rummaging though the dresses again, this time concentrating, lips pursed.

I jumped in sudden shock.

“Oh my flipping JESUS, CARA!!!! I found the perfect dress,” Saph said practically screeching, earning a glare from several other shoppers.

I walked over to where she was, weaving through all the rows, trying my best not to trip over the heinous dress that I was still wearing, I asked her skeptical, “Are you sure Saph, its not orange again is it?”

She frowned at me as I came nearer, the dress hidden behind her, “Have a little faith Cara, I don’t have that bad taste.”

I narrowed my eyes at her, and gestured toward the Barbie dress that I was still wearing. She just flipped me off, looking even less amused, “Point taken; although, you’ve been wearing it all this time, you could have easily changed.”

I glowered at her, “Give me the damn dress, let’s get this damn crap over with. We’ve been here for what two hours?!”

She glanced down at her watch, which was on her free hand, and not the one holding the dress behind her, “Actually five.”

I flailed my arms, and shrieked in horror, “OH MY GOD! I have never gone shopping THIS long for just one dress.”

"APRIL FOOLS! It has only been two hours." She giggled girlishly.

"Fuck you! Its not even April," I replied dryly.

“Oh shut up. Anyway, we’ll be gone right after you try on this. I’ll bet a hundred bucks on it.”

I felt even more unconvinced, “Deal. I highly doubt that I’d like it any-”

She pulled the dress out from behind her, and I couldn’t finish my sentence. She giggled at me, and pumped her fist saying, “SCORE.”

“You don’t know that yet,” I said glaring at her, “Let me try it on first.”

But she knew before I did that it was a lost cause.

The minute I stepped into the dress in the dressing room, and zipped myself up, looking at myself in the mirror, my jaw dropped. I was at a loss of words. Is that really me? I walked up to the mirror and pinched myself. Ouch. I winced, and I could see mirror me, well, mirror me. Yup- definitely me.

“Cara, is everything alright in there, you’ve been in there for awhile,” Sapphire said apprehensively, “Damn you didn’t like the dress did you, don’t worry… We’ll keep searching until we find something that you love.”

I was brought out of my reverie, “NO! It’s-it’s… perfect”

So, that’s when I realized two things that had a hundred percent possibility:

One, that it was the one.

And two- I was out a hundred bucks.

Then I defy you, stars!

Heyy everyone! I am sooo happy I'm able to update today lol. I don't know when I'll be next. I promise it'll be before NEXT Sunday though. Or on Sunday or whatever. I hope you really like this chapter. As I gave up my revision hours for this which I'm not really meant to do lol.

This was a LOT less emotional. Well I hope so, I had to put in bits of Xavier too. Honestly, I hit a road block when I was writing mid chapter, so it may be a bit awkward, I SHALL fix it up later though.

Anyway!!

Tell me what you think- meaning- Comment, vote, fannn =)

The NEXT chapter is the dance. I promise the chapter will be longer than this, and a LOT more humorous, so I'm really looking foreward to writing it, as soon as I have it all planned out in my mind !! =)

I have exams coming up (reallllllly important ones). If you're a Britisherrr, it'll make sense when I say I'm doing my AS Levels, but internationally, which basically means I have my exams next month and not in july, which is actually really good for me lol, cause my birthday is in july. TURNING 17 YA'LL.

But yeah, if you're not british, its a qualification that's kinda equivilant to SATs and IB basically.

Anywayy, lol, not many people do read these parts, but it don't matter =). Well PLEASE comment. It really does mean a L.O.T.

Thank you to Nupur Amin, and Vama Shah for being so amazing to me this week. Really boosted my confidence this week, which I really needed after all the crap that's been going on in my life. None of which I'll mention on here as family does read this.

Anywho mate, I gotta go REVISE :'( ZEE 'ORROR.

Love you all.

PS Can anyone catch the Irony in this chapter?
