"I'll catch you, I promise!" Hero's breathing quickened as they looked down. Hanging by one arm and supervillain approaching, they had no choice.
They closed their eyes.
"Please!"
They could hear their heartbeat in their ears.
"Hero!"
They could feel Supervillain's steps, the platform shaking as their future captor-if-they-took-their-sweet-time-getting-down grew closer.
Hero took one last deep breath and let go.
