SHREYAS'S POV
Me: Dad! Why aren't you understanding? I am not ready to get married yet!
Dad: But her dad is a huge business man.
Mom: You are the one who told that business is on the rocks.
Me: Yes mom! But I can handle.
Dad: No you can't Shreyas. Not that easy. Everyone, out knows our financial situation. No one will even look at our side, leave about them, helping us, financially.
Me: So? I can sell few assets dad.
Dad: You will not do that. Those are personal assets and not company's.
And they will sold at loss. Stop being so stubborn.
And dad stroms out of the room.
Mom: Your dad already had enough. Stop killing him from the inside Shrey!
Me: I don't like her mom! We have never met
Mom: I don't see the problem here Shrey! Meet her before wedding.
But THIS WEDDING WILL HAPPEN.
And she leaves.
AHAARIKA'S POV
I wake up and while I was about to go downstairs, I hear my mom and dad talking.
Dad: They like her. Let's get them married. And he is an amazing business man, I'll handover the business to him.
Mom: that's an amazing idea.
And I am 100% sure they are talking about the Only heir of Mr. Iyer.
Shreyas Iyer.
His dad, Santosh, and my dad, Ayush were good friends. They established a company. But they wanted to go on with two different ideas so Dad took half share of business and established a textile company while uncle started an mall.
Meanwhile, I go down.
Dad: You are getting married.
Me: huh! Sorry?
Mom: To Shreyas
Me: Are you guys kidding me?
Dad: The only thing you did is to spend away the money we gave you. Now just do what we say. You owe that to us.
I felt as if somebody slapped me.
My dad and mom started thinking of me this way because of that person.
I hate you MR. Shreyas. I hate you.
After two hours I receive a message saying congratulations and then they started pouring in.
I can't ask them why. Ofcourse.
I went to my mom to ask instead I saw Shreyas and family.
Pandit ji: This friday is very auspicious.
Shreyas: This friday?
Why are they acting like it's wedding.
It's just going to be an engagement or something. I am sure he hates me just as much so we can plan something and get out of this.
Mom: Let's go baby! We need to shop for your wedding
Me: Wedding?
Mom: Yeah! Where were you? He just said it out loud.
Me: Friday?
Mom: Yeah!
Me: That's so-
Dad: Everyone get ready. We are going to shop.
And he goes in to get ready and so does everyone else.
Me and Shreyas were standing in the room, not being able to process what happened.
Shreyas: Is there anyway we can stop this?
Santosh Uncle: Don't even try Shreyas. Don't.
Shreyas: Dad-
Me: Uncle, you leave. I'll talk to Shreyas.
Me and Shreyas go out. We stand in the balcony.
Me: I hate this marriage as much as you do.
Shreyas: Then why aren't you doing anything.
Me: So aren't you.
Shreyas: I am not in a position to say something.
Me: Well! Neither am I.
Shreyas: So stubborn. I cannot marry you.
Me: Ofcourse! What do you think? I am dying for you? Please!! I'll be the happiest person to be alive if this does not happen.
And this banter went on.
That night made one thing clear.
We hate eachother. No matter how much we tried to hide it, It won't be hidden.
This marriage is going to be a disaster. And the company? Oh god!
We are going to be partners. So Disaster it is. Again!
FRIDAY
SHREYAS'S POV
People cannot take a hint.
At all.
I am marrying a person who is supposed to be my better half but I hate her.
And actually, I am all set to marry.
Going to mandap is the only thing that's left for me to do.
On a more positive note,
Business and finance came around now that me and Ahaarika became official business partners.
Dad: Come on!
Everyone is waiting for you.
It's time.
I go down, feeling helpless.
In no time, she arrives and keeping all my hatred away,
She looks beautiful.
Like jaw dropping beautiful.
I catch her hand and help her come on to the mandap.
After wedding...
We are sent to our "Honeymoon" where I plan on sightseeing alone.
I need a break from her. Big time.
Ahaarika: We will have seperate rooms.
Me: Booked them already.
As if I wouldn't do that 😑
Meanwhile I get a call from our manager.
I put it on speaker.
Manager: Sir, our intern, Rupa? Her mother is not feeling well sir.
Me: What happened?
Manager: I don't know Sir. I'll send you the reports.
He cuts the call and sends them.
Within no time, Ahaarika just took out her phone and paid the hospital online.
Maybe she is an okay person.
AHAARIKA'S POV.
It's been a month since our wedding and not once we behaved like a normal couple when we are alone.
And Shreyas? Maybe not as bad as I thought. He never crossed a boundary. Never tried to misbehave.
Never raised his voice.
Shreyas is out right now. He is attending some meeting.
Shreyas: Hey!
Me: Hey!
Yep! We did start living as friends.
Once you start spending so much time with someone, it's impossible to be angry and silent.
BTW, he looked a little sad.
Me: What happened?
Shreyas: As if you care
Me: Dude! Just trying to help.
Shreyas: Fine! My PA, he informed that his wife is sick.
Me: Yeah! I know. I paid the bill
Shreyas: Stop doing that.
Me: Huh! Sorry?
Shreyas: I said Stop! Nobody was sick. He cheated.
Me: And you are angry at me?
Shreyas: I know you are such a cute and helpful person but stop that!
Me: We lost some money Shreyas.
If that was true, she would have lost her life.
If you can't understand that, or can't care enough, it's impossible for me to be here with you.
I leave. It was saturday. My friends and I planned a get-together in a pub.
I go in. I find my friends.
I see him. Again. With his friends. But he didn't see me.
He is on first floor while I was on the ground.
Dude! I came out first.

Meanwhile I get drunk.
SHREYAS'S POV
She is here?
Friend: Bhabhi is here?
Me: She is with her friends. Don't disturb her.
I let her be ofcourse and I start drinking.
Meanwhile I see a guy drooling all over my girl.
Wait?
My girl? Ofcourse. I married her.
He followed her to the door and started grabbing her hand.
5 months later.....
Ahaarika: Shreyyyy! I am telling you. Get me freaking pancakes.
Me: Dude! Wait.
Yep here you go!
Ahaarika: You are so sweet.
Give.
I hand her the plate.
Ahaarika: Shrey! The baby is kicking.
I slowly place my hand on her stomach and if this is not the best feeling in the world ..
I never noticed a tear falling down.
But it did.
Ahaarika wiped my tear while I was on cloud 9.
What I understood in these 5 months is...
Shreyas is capable of loving others more than himself.
These 5 months showed me how amazing he can be.
He never left my side. He was always there. Doctor appointments, family meetings, sickness, mood swings, he took in all these with so much patience.
That day changed everything.
5 months ago, when I was in a pub and a guy followed me, he forced himself on me. I defended myself.
But I could see that anger and concern in his eyes.
He grabbed my hand and took me to home. We were angry.
But that night took a turn.
We were both drunk and what was bound to happen, happened.
That night was magical to say the least.
I was so afraid that he would call it all a mistake but he didn't.
He started being good with me. And within two months, my pregnancy news came out and his happiness knew no bounds.
We started being nice to each other and started loving eachother.
Atleast I started loving him.
SHREYAS'S POV
I left Ahaarika in home today. Well it is a big day for me.
I go into the shop and start looking for one thing that I am here for.
After spending some hours here, I found the one.
This is for her.
I hated her more than anyone in my life but her personality didn't let me hate her anymore.
I actually fell for her in the first month of our marriage but was afraid.
But now, Even though I am not sure what her answer would be, I thought if doing this.
4 months later....
My wife is in the hospital, delivery ward.
Nurse: It's a girl.
She broke the news to me while all her family members asked me to have some alone time with her.
Ahaarika: We did it Shrey!
Me: I love you both so much Ahaarika. You are my world.
