I have most of the song finished. I just don't have the first verse or the bridge written.
I've been working on it while I wait for everyone to come. Andrew, Mason, and Owen were out getting drinks.
Everyone's coming tonight so I'm very excited for that. "I've waited way too long to say everything you mean to me." I practice.
It was going to sound really good. I figured I could sing it to Owen on Valentines day whenever the day comes.
I was excited to show it to him. "Is that an original?" I hear behind me. It scared me so much, I jumped in my chair.
I turned around to see Charlie was leaning against my door frame. "Bloody hell, mate." I try to catch my breath.
"The door was open so I came in." Charlie shrugged. I just look at him causing me turn to him.
"Yeah, I see that now." I shake my head towards him. He walks in and sits on my bed. "You writing a song?" He asked.
I nodded my head. "Is it for Owen?" I could feel myself start to turn red. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped towards me.
"Let me hear it!" He exclaimed towards me. I instantly shake my head no. Not because I'm embarrassed.
It's just not done just yet. "I'm not done writing it." I tell him honestly. He sits there for a moment.
"I can help you write it if you want." He suggested. I scrunched my nose to him. "I don't know, mate." I shyly tell him.
"I want it to sound authentic since it is for Owen." I admit to him. He looks like he's hurt with my words.
"You do know I co-wrote Perfect Harmony, right?" I'm surprised I didn't know about that.
If he co-wrote it, I'm guessing Madison wrote it with him. "Okay, and?" I ask confused to where he's going with this.
"It means I can help write the song!" He exclaimed, again. I just shake my head while looking at him.
"I think I'll be okay, Char. I'll let you know if I need anything." He nodded his head like he understood.
When I first met Charlie, I never thought we would get this close brother sister bond.
We both annoy each other but we also care about each other. We both share an interest in music and we're super passionate about it.
Once we start talking about music, we drop trying to annoy each other and just get into it.
"I got my songs picked out for the sing off." He boasted which made me smiled.
I asked him which songs he picked out so we started talking about it.
I showed him a couple videos that Conor did so he knows what to do.
In the beginning I was going to make sure to credit Conor so the fans won't say I'm trying to steal his idea.
As we talked about it, I could hear the front door open and close. "We have alcohol!" Mason yelled throughout the townhouse.
I just sigh and go downstairs with Charlie. Owen notices Charlie was with me and smiled.
I've noticed Owen was never the jealous type. Like, most guys wouldn't trust their girlfriend with their best friend.
But Owen had full trust in us two, he knows nothing would happen between us.
Charlie isn't my type at all, I literally see him as an older brother.
I look to see what kinds of alcohol they got. Tito's for Carolynn and Jeremy.
Pink Whitney for me, Dani, and Camila. Tequila for Charlie and Andrew.
And then straight up Vodka for everyone. Slowly but surely, everyone started showing up.
Everyone was here by eight and we had a house music playlist streaming.
We were standing there taking shots with each other. I was honestly hoping Charlie wouldn't say anything about the song.
Owen knows I'm writing it, but he doesn't know it's about him. I poured myself a cup and went into the living room with the girls.
"I feel like we haven't had a girls night in forever." Dani pouted when I sat down. Carolynn instantly agreed.
"We need to have one. I love Jer to death but that man gets on my nerves." We all laughed a little bit.
"I understand that with Mason." Camila agreed with her. "I don't know how you do it." I tell Camila, taking a sip on my drink.
I love Mason, but he's a lot to handle. He's loud, very random, and doesn't listen.
"A lot of patience. He has his sweet moments though." Growing up, I never really fit in with the other girls.
I think it's because of growing up with Andrew and Mason. I'm glad I met them knowing how fast they accepted me.
As we sat there and drank, I started thinking about this year and everything that happened.
I moved across the pond to where I am now. I met Jeremy, Charlie, and Owen, all of us becoming friends.
I started gaining feelings for Owen and eventually fell in love, which he doesn't know just yet.
I met the girls and we have our own little group. It's been an amazing year honestly.
By ten thirty, I was feeling the Pink Whitney in my system. Owen stumbles over to me and sits down next to me.
"I feel like I've barely seen you tonight." He slurred. "Stay here with me then." I rest my chin on his shoulder.
He pecks my lips while everyone comes over to us. "Who wants to play truth or shot?" Mason asked sitting next to Camila.
We were all down so he started the game up. "Jeremy! You're up first." Jeremy shook his head.
"Do you regret any movies or tv shows you did?" He asked which was a good question.
We all turned to look over at him. "I regret some of my earlier shows but I don't regret Adventure Time." He spoke truthfully.
Since it was Jeremy's turn, he looked around. "Charlie!" His face instantly turned red.
He took a drink before Jeremy could even ask anything. "Is it true that you had a small crush on Savannah while we filmed?"
I know about Savannah but I haven't met her yet. She seems super sweet and she's super talented.
I was super interested in this. Charlie poured a shot and downed it, signaling that he wasn't going to answer it.
"I don't care what you say, that was a bloody yes." Andrew spoke, making all of us laugh.
"Fuck off." Charlie cursed at him. He then scanned the room and his eyes landed on me.
A smirk came onto his lips which made me nervous. I have no idea what he was going to ask.
"Sammy." He cheered as I flipped him off. "Do I have a question for you." He teased me.
I lean my head back and groan. "Will you go ahead and ask you wanker?" I wanted to get it over with.
"Is it true you're writing a song?" I pursed my lips while shaking my head. But that's a good thing.
He didn't ask who I was writing it about. "Yes, I am." Jeremy seemed shocked by it.
"Was that so hard?" I just flip him off again while I look around at my mates.
I then looked over at Dani. And I had the perfect question for her. "Hey, Dani." I smile.
I could hear her mumble something under her breath. She took a deep breath and look over at me.
"Is it true that you are secretly dating Andrew?" Mason and Owen both coughed and choked on their drink.
We've been doing research and we're pretty positive they're together.
Both Andrew and Dani had wide eyes while everyone else looked confused. "Wait, what?" Charlie asked looking around.
"We were going to tell you guys. We just didn't know how." Dani confirmed it. Owen rose his hand up for a high five.
I give it to him knowing we were both right. "How did you even figure it out?" Andrew asked confused.
"Me, Owen, and Mason followed you two to the roller rink." I tell him while laughing. He dropped his jaw towards us.
"I'm never trusting you three again." Andrew laughed towards us. "How bored were you three to follow us?" She asked.
"Very bored." Owen spoke up. I'm happy they weren't mad since I called them out.
I just want the pair happy because they're both great people.
"Wait, does that mean I'm the only single one here?" I didn't realize it, but he is. Poor Charlie.
The whole night was a blast honestly. We joked around with each other and just had a blast.
When it hit eleven fifty-nine, we all started counting down. And once it hit twelve, everyone kissed their partners.
While we kissed our partners, Charlie cheered and took a shot. I'm entering the new year with some amazing people.
I'm excited to see what twenty twenty-two has in store.
