I was sat at the dinner table, some funny plastic handle being held over my arm. Mum had gotten me a CGM.

"3, 2, 1." She whispered to herself, before pressing it down on my arm. It hurt a bit, but stopped after maybe two minutes. "Okay!" She said excitedly. "Now we wait for that to work, and then you can have readings on your phone!"

"Thanks mum." I said, smiling. I got up, and walked to my room. Next I took out my phone, and took a photo of the little tab. I sent a photo to Sam. I sent her a text too.

< Image)
<LOOK WE'RE MATCHING!)

Sam responded maybe two minutes later.

(omg>
(No wayyyy>

<also I do I take glucagon to
Camp? I won't need it but
At the same time like what
If I do? )

(Yeah I'm taking it.>

<OKAY)
<Also I don't wanna tell the
Teams who aren't Nekoma
(Cos they know already)
Abt my T1D bc I don't
Wanna get judged.)

(Okay, that's fine. Whenever
you're ready.>

Timeskip, leaving day. Still Hinata POV:

"I KNOW RIGHT! ITS SO COOL!" I shouted at Noya.

"YOU'RE LIKE A TECH ROBOT SCI-FI THING!" Noya shouted back, staring at my CGM. Sam sighed, and rolled their eyes. We were all stood in front of the bus, just waiting for the bags to be loaded up, so we could leave. I could feel myself shaking from excitement, it was going to be volleyball heaven. But I was also slightly nervous. I had asked my team, and also Nekoma to keep it a secret from the other teams. I wasn't ashamed, but afraid of what they might think.

"Okay, Hinata. Do you think you've forgotten any diabetes stuff?" Daichi asked.

"Arghh! My mum triple checked, and then Sam double checked. Why does everyone expect me to forget something!"

"If you're sure you've remembered everything, then I don't think I need to check. But I want to, just to be sure."

"Ugh, fine!" I said, exasperated. I handed him the box filled with equipment. Sam walked over to me.

"Wow, you must be pretty forgetful to have this many people check."

"Mhm..." I said, partly dying inside. Was I that forgetful? Probably.

A thought struck Sam. "Does Daichi even know what stuff you need to have?"

"Probably. He may as well just marry my mum, he's practically my dad at this point."

"Well tell Daichi to lay off your mum, I'm having her."

"What!?" I whisper-laughed.

Avoiding us an awkward situation, Daichi had not heard the comment about Sam's thoughts on my mother. "Well surprisingly, you have everything!"

"Why surprising!?" I groaned.

"GET ON THE BUS. WE'RE ALREADY BEHIND SCHEDULE." Coach Ukai yelled from the door of the coach.

The group of teenagers began piling on the bus. Me, Yachi, Sam, Kageyama and Kiyoko were sat on the five seats at the back.

Sam's POV: written by Mrbeansaysmagi

I sat by the window at the very back with Shoyo next to me.
He turned to talk to Kageyama and Yachi immediately, leaving me to myself. I zoned out and played a game on my phone for a good 10 minutes; feeling Sho's head fall onto my shoulder after another five.

I glanced at him, as he started drooling.
I simply moved my left leg, crossing it over my right.

I was about to grab my headphones from my bag, and my pump went off. My face scrunched up in embarrasment for a second, but immediately changing when Daichi spoke.
"Was that Hinata?" Daichi swivvelled his head around the seat infromt of my own.

"Probably" I hummed back, too involved with fighting off mobs from my crop garden in minecraft to notice the missing weight off my shoulder.

Shoyo spluttered awake next to me, and frantically searched for his phone.
He saw it just next to my leg and snatched it from the seat, as if it were about to eat it.
He looked puzzled as there seemed to be no notification from dexcom.

He looked at me, then saw my pump screen on. He obviously knew it read low because he shoved a bunch of sweets into my lap.
"Sorry Daichi," He apologised. Daichi eyed me for a second but soon turned back to face the other third years.

He got irritated quickly, watching me ignore him and focus on minecraft.
"What?" I asked, after Shoyo's 100th attempt at trying to get my attention.

"Eat." He stated.

"No." I answered.

"Eat." He warned. "Or i'll tell everyone you're diabetic"

"You wouldn't," I whispered.

"I would." He asserted, smirking.

"What was the point in putting effort to hide it then? Éstupido" I murmured.

"Don't you insult me in french!" He leant back, offended.

"Spanish, pendejo." I laughed.

"You're bilingual Sam?" Nishinoya turned his head to nosy his way into our conversation.

"Trilingual..." I corrected.

"Woah! What languages?"cHe queried.

"Uh... Japanese, English, Spanish, and a little french, why?" I answered.

"That's so cool!" He complimented.

"Thanks," I smiled.

Noya eyed me for another second. "That was really british of you" He giggled. Before I could answer back he was already back to yelling with Tanaka.

Shoyo looked at me, and I finally caved in and sighed; I opened a bag of Konpeitō and popped a purple coloured candy into my mouth. The flavour melting on my tongue.

It took most of the trip to get my sugars stable, which was particularly annoying, as Shoyo wouldn't let me sleep "In case I didn't wake up again," Yet i'd been doing exactly that every night for the past 4 years.
I've yet to never wake up again.

Hinata POV:

"Look! The sky is pink!" I said excitedly. It had just gone six o'clock, and the first signs of night were showing. The sky was filled with pink disorderly clouds, in an orange and darkening blue sky.

"Wow!" Yachi exclaimed. She started taking photos on her new instant camera. Sam was struggling with their sugars. They had a low in the first twenty minutes, which took ages to bring up. I was confused on as to why they didn't seem bothered about it, they didn't care that they were low, they didn't try and bring it back up again. Maybe it was just too exhausting to cope with. I prayed that it never would happen to me. Sam was okay now, but tired from all the lows, but I was cut out from my worried thoughts by Yachi snapping photos of us. Kageyama tried to steal the camera to stop his photo being taken, but I snatched it off of him and took a photo of me and Sam. I passed the camera back to Yachi, who then took a nice photo of Kiyoko looking out of the window.

"Okay! We'll be there in maybe 5 minutes." Takeda announced. A cheer went around the bus "Please make sure you take everything off the bus with you. Don't forget anything."

"Sam." I whispered.

They turned to look at me. "Mhm?"

"So, you know.. Nekoma knows..."

"Yeah, I do."

"What if... they don't like me any more. What if they think I'm weird and like... unstable or something."

"Sho. Don't become like me with the whole "Oh no, do they hate me." Thing. You've been very chill about this whole thing, from what I've seen so far, so don't lose it." Sam looked quite sad. "They can't be upset, it's not your fault."

I nodded. "Thanks."

"And anyways, I can hit anyone who does have a problem with it."

"Sam?"

"It was a joke, obviously no one would ever have a problem with it. But I would hit anyone who would,"

"Okay everyone off the bus, take all your handheld bags with you, and carry your own night bags." Takeda announced. We had pulled into the car park of Aoba Johsai. The bus stopped, and a few teams were waving manically from the door. We could see Aoba Johsai, Date tech, Shiratorizawa and Johzenji waving their arms and shouting. We started doing the same back to them while we got off the bus.

I walked down the steps, and already, Oikawa and Iwazumi had come over to me and Sam. "Look! It's chibi! And I haven't seen you before, who's this?" Oikawa interrogated.

"This is Sam Goodman." Hinata smiled. "They're our photographer slash journalist!"

"Okay, well you better hope the little journalist doesn't end up all focused on me!" He said, then winked. "Don't use up too much camera film on me!" Sam and Iwa collectively rolled their eyes. "Hey! That was mean!"

"It's not even the kind of camera that uses film." Sam said exhaustedly.

"So we're not the last people here?" We could hear Daichi saying to Ujishima.

"No, Nekoma and Fukurodani were held up by traffic on their way out of the city, so they won't be here up until the evening."

"Well that's funny, I was certain we were late."

Timeskip.

"Saaammmmmm!" I groaned sleepily. "Why is everything so heavy." I had a huge bag hauled over my shoulder, as I trudged to the bedroom with the other players. We had a long training session and then a match against Shiratorizawa but we didn't finish before we were sent up to put away our bags. We were told to shower and chill for a bit, and then it would be dinner time. I felt a large weight being pulled off of my shoulder, and I saw Asahi carrying my bag for me. I smiled up at him. "Thanks!" I smiled. Then I felt Sam's camera and pillow being dumped on me.

"If you're not carrying anything, at least carry these." After reaching the room, Sam said that because they weren't on the team, they were sharing with Kiyoko and Yachi, plus the managers of other teams. I stole Kageyama's juice because I was having a low sugar, and then took a shower. After getting ready, I remembered that I would have to take insulin at dinner. Shit. I would probably have to leave dinner to do it alone, because I didn't feel okay with the other teams knowing at the moment. I let go of a heavy breath, and walked over to the group of third years, sat down on one of the beds.

"Daichi" I whispered to our captain. "Daichiii" I repeated. "Dad!" He finally turned around.

"What's up?" He said.

"Um.. how do I take insulin at dinner?"

"Don't you know how to-"

"Daichi, I know how to take insulin. I'm wondering how to avoid the other teams finding out."

"Oh, Oh! Of course, I'm sorry. So you just need to know what we're having for dinner?"

"Yeah, then I can take insulin before I leave."

"Okay, great. TANAKA!" Tanaka proceeded to jump out of his skin.

"Yes!?" He said in shock. "Do something other than cyber-stalking Kiyoko, and find out what we're having for dinner."

"How do I-"

"Walk yourself down to the kitchen, and find out."

"Oh Daichi- I can go do-"

"Tanaka has not done anything helpful today, so he can at least do this." Daichi said firmly. Tanaka groaned in annoyance, before getting up and leaving the room. "You nervous? About spending time with all the other teams with this whole new thing?"

"Sort of, but I'll be over it in a few days." I said. For once, I wasn't bouncing about with pent up energy, I was actually pretty tired. I paused, looking around in suspicion. "Sam's having a low, and is ignoring it. I can sense it." I said, before getting up (with food) to go find them.

Dinner.

I sat quietly in Sam's room, typing the carbs into my monitor while they took their insulin. Having a thought, I began to speak. "Sam. This whole thing just feels really tiring. It's taking up too much of my energy." I mumbled "I can't deal with it.

"Yeah, it feels like that sometimes." Sam sighed. "But it's a good days and bad days thing. Sometimes it'll be okay, some days it won't."

"Okay, but it really feels like you have bad days like... really often."

"Yeah, um. I'm sorry for worrying you about it all. Um..I just..."

"You don't have to talk about it right now if you don't want to."

"Thanks." Sam looked at the ground for a few moments. "Let's go to dinner."

Finally, Fukurodani and Nekoma had arrived, so we all ate dinner together. We spent an hour in the common room that had been leant to us afterwards, before we were yelled at to go to sleep by the very tired Ukai. Asahi carried Noya to bed, after he had fallen asleep on a sofa.

A/N: shit way to end a chapter I know. CBA to edit, so I'm sorry if there are errors. Please leave ideas!!
