As Mr L continued to introduce himself, Robbie stared at them
The boy and Demetri made eye contact and he looked down
I was looking at the water of the mini pond, thinking random thoughts
"Should I apologize to my mom? But she should understand what happened.", ugh
My thoughts were interrupted by someone speaking
"Hey what's going on here?
I then realized that the new boy and Demetri were arguing
"This nerd called me a imbecile. I told him he can't just drop a challenge and leave."
"I didn't "drop a challenge.", he dropped the potted plant."
"It was an accident."
"Ok guys. Relax. What's your name?"
"Chris."
"Chris, this is Demetri-"
"Yeah, we're acquainted. He tried to kick the crap out of me, remember?"
"Ok, so, you guys have some beef with each other."
"No,no,no. This isn't a two sides to every story situation. He was the clear cut aggressor."
"I already told you I was sorry."
"Guy, enough.", Mr LaRusso waved his hands, "I'm gonna give you both a mission. You see this stone? You're gonna pick it back up."
"How are we supposed to do that?"
"Good old-fashioned teamwork."
After Mr LaRusso headed inside to talk to the other new students, I watched Chris and Demetri lift up the rock
"You seriously aren't gonna help?", Demetri asked me
"Nope. You heard LaRusso, you guys gotta do it.", I smiled, he head in my hands
As Chris continued to lift the stone, Demetri only watched
"Uh, yeah. Nice try. But brute strength is only gonna get you so far."
"You got a better idea, smart ass?"
"Ever heard of a fulcrum? Yeah, didn't think so. If you'd paid attention in physics, you'd know that a fulcrum is a pivot point that decreases the amount-", I zoned out. I love Demetri, but I don't feel like listening to this right now
I stood up and headed out the back door into my car, I'll ask what happened later
I'll get friendly with the new kids later, I've been bitchy today, and I don't wanna make the wrong impression, ya know?
I started up my car and started to drive to a close store
I pulled out a hoodie and hate, along with sunglasses, and put the outfit on
I got out and brought my wallet
I walked in and looked around, wanting to find a new and cute outfit, even though I have plenty at home
But what I was looking for wasn't a trendy, colorful outfit
I wanted a dark outfit, kinda emoish
I just have been feeling that recently
I had pulled out all this from the racks, and went to check out
"Hello there, ma'am! Is there anything else I can get you?", the checkout lady asked me
I pulled out a recces from the botten shelf, "This is it."
"Ok. You look vaguely familiar, do I know you?"
Gosh dammit, of course
"No, I just have a very recognizable face."
She shrugged, "ok."
Once I check out, I walked out the door
I attempted to walk to my car, but of course someone tried to stop me
They pinned me against the wall and attempted to grab my wallet
I blocked it and kneed them in the crotch, "I'm not in the mood, sráč."
They fell to the ground and I calmly walked to my car
I drove home, not really feeling anything
"This is weird, I didn't even feel scared. Whatever, it's nothing."
I unlocked my front door, and saw my mom in the kitchen, "Y/n- oh my gosh! What the hell did you do to your hair?"
I scoffed, man I'm a bitch today, "it's nothing."
She looked at me with anger, "you watch your tone!"
I started to walk away but she grabbed my arm, "Y/n, please. I need to tell you something."
I scoffed
She sat me down
"Y/n. Your father and I-", my mom sighed
"We're getting a divorce."
My heart dropped
"Th-this is about me. It's me isn't it?, I sobbed
My mom sighed.
"This isn't you. Your father and I haven't been good for a while. He and I have been arguing for at least 5 years. It's hard to believe. We used to be so in love. But people just drift apart. I guess we're good at hiding it. Ironic, isn't it", my mom let a tear loose
I put my head in my hands, "It's me, isn't it. Me?"
"Honey, no. I'm going to move back to New York with your grandparents. Your father is staying here. You can choose who you want to come with."
My eyes opened, I don't know what to do
Aight, my parents divorced when I was 6 and my brother was 4 and I guess I wanted to make this story more realistic, the picture perfect marriage is impossible, and I think there's a 50% chance for high school couples to divorce, y'all can decide what happens
