You were in school waiting the dreaded 6 hours until you could finally go home, you weren't in the greatest mood when you found out that Rose your 12 year old sister got to stay off school for another week, but here you are in school
You had really hoped nothing was found when you got back, you hid your weed and smoke deep down in your drawers so no one could find them, you never smoked in the house, just on the rooftop.

"Can you please go fetch y/n's dirty washing out her room please" Scarlett's asks Rose who is sitting at the kitchen island on her phone
"But mom" she whines, she is cut of by a glare from Scarlett
"Rose I kept you of school would you please do what I ask" she says wiping down the counter again
"Fine" Rose huffs and goes upstairs fetching your washing, Rose picked everything up but noticed a smell coming from your drawers, she placed the washing down and opened your drawers
She rummaged about for a bit until she found a brown bag, she opened inside of it and found something she would never expect to see. Her eyes widened and she ran downstairs faster than ever
"Rose what have I told you about running down the stairs" Scarlett scolds her turning around
"What's that" she asks pointing to the bag in Rose's hand, Rose walks over to her and hands it over without saying a word
"Where was this" Scarlett contains her anger hoping maybe it was outside
"Under y/n's t-shirts in her drawers" Rose says still stunned at what she found
"For fucks sake" Scarlett slams down the kitchen towel causing Rose to jump
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you" Scarlett bends down hugging Rose
"I am so angry at her" Scarlett whispers, Rose just hugs her mom tight hoping that tonight's show didn't last long

School was finally over and I could go home to peace, i put my AirPods in and play some music while walking back from school
"I'm home" i shout letting my mom and Rose know I'm home, i walk into the kitchen to get a snack and find my mom standing there and Rose quietly sitting at the island on her phone
"Oh hey mom hey Rose" i smile, the only thing is they doesn't smile back, i furrow my eyebrows confused
"Don't 'hey mom' me y/n" she says in an angry tone, i turn around and face her
"Why are you so angry what have I done now" i ask rubbing my forehead
"You know young lady what you have down" she leans her back against the counter
"Mom i have no idea what-"
"Smoking y/n" she shouts
Shit. I'm screwed, that's it I'm done for! Maybe a little lying won't hurt?
"What" i act confused
"Don't play that shit y/n" she sighs
"Mom I've never smoked i don't know what your on about" i play it cool pretending I don't know, but I don't know if she'll fall for it. She then proceeds to whip out my brown bag which had my stuff in. My eyes widen at the sight
"Mom i-" i try to explain but am cut of by her slamming the stuff down
"Don't y/n i want the truth" i go to explain the truth but want to know why she found it
"Where did you find that" i ask curiously
"Rose found it in your room while getting your laundry but that's not the point" she says raising her eyebrows
"Rose what the fuck" i snap at her, she looks up from her phone giving my a dirty look and looking back down at it
"Y/N TELL ME" my mom shouts at me getting angrier
"ITS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU" i shout back, I am not telling her that my friends got me into this or I'll never be seeing them again
"Y/N IF YOU DON'T TELL ME YOU'LL BE GROUNDED FOR LONGER THAN YOU ALREADY ARE" she screams at me
"WHY THE FUCK AM I GROUNDED I DID NOTHING WRONG"
"WHAT IS THIS THEN" she throws the bag on the counter in front of us
"ITS NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS IS WHAT IT IS" i say throwing the bag on the ground harshly
"DON'T THROW STUFF IN MY HOUSE ESPECIALLY WHEN ROSE IS IN THE ROOM" she shouts motioning to Rose
"You wanna bet" i walk over to the glass vase my mom bought a few years back, i throw it on the ground causing it all to smash, Rose jumps and runs to my mom
"WHAT THE FUCK Y/N" she screams keeping one arm on Rose's back, i walk up in front of her
"THIS IS YOUR FAULT" i scream
"I DID NOTHING THIS IS NOT MY FAULT-" i smack her across the face not thinking what I'm doing, Rose gasps and comes out from behind her
"ROSE EVERY PART OF THIS IS YOUR FAULT, YOUR THE REASON THIS ARGUMENT IS HAPPENING IF YOU WEREN'T NOSEY AND DIDN'T GO THROUGH MY STUFF THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED" i say going to hit her aswell but I'm stopped by mom.
"What are you doing y/n" she grabs my wrist and holds it up, i look down at Rose who's shaking and tears are streaming from my eyes, i look up at my mom who has a massive red mark on her cheek and she also has tears streaming down her face
I stand up straight looks between the both of them, Rose clutching onto my mom like her life depends on it sobbing her heart out, mom standing there holding her cheek trying to calm Rose down
I suddenly feel nauseous realising this is all my fault, i take a step but back but slip on the glass, i fall down until my mom catches me but i fight against her hold
"No. Get. Of. Me" i cry out using my elbows to try and free myself from her grip but she just holds tighter
"This.is.my.fault" i break down, my mom wraps her arms around my head letting Rose in as well
After moments of silence, i break out of her hold and stand up
"I am so sorry" I start to break down again
"Y/n-"
"No it's not my fault please, my friends told me that it was good and to try it so i did but then every time we met that was all we done and then i realised I couldn't stop and then i hid it and then Rose found it and now I've ruined everything and now yous hate me, oh my god I'm the worst daughter ever, your gonna kick me out oh my god I hate them so much" i ramble on but am stopped my someone hugging my waist, i look and and see Rose??
"We don't hate you y/n" she whispers, i look up at my mom confused, she shakes her head
"Rose is right we don't hate you, just disappointed in you" she says
Rose is soon upstairs while me and mom are in the kitchen
"I don't know what got into me" i say cleaning up the glass on the floor
"Y/n it's part of life these things happen"
"No mom i made the biggest mistake ever i really didn't mean it" i say placing it in the bin
"We know you never meant it" i look around the freezer trying to find ice, i wrap some in a dishcloth and carefully place in on my mom's red mark on her face leading her into the living room and sitting her down
I awkwardly sit at the side of her holding it on her face as she watches a show, i looks down at my hands ashamed of what I've caused tonight
My moms arms wrap around me and pulls me into her chest, she kisses my head a few times. I accept the embrace and lay there with her
I hear some faint quiet snores and look up and see she is sleeping, i sit up unwrapping her arms from around my waist
"I'm so sorry mama" i whisper kissing her cheek
I stand up and make my way upstairs and into Rose's room, i take a breath before knocking on the door
"Come in" she says, i open the door and she's sitting on the bed on her phone, she looks up at me and smiles slightly, i walk in fully closing the door and sitting on the end of her bed
"I'm really sorry Rose, I don't know what got into me and I'm sorry for taking it all out on you, you don't have to forgive me because this is a massive mistake I have caused" i look up at her, she slowly makes her way over to me and sits in my lap
"I will always love you y/n, I'm not mad just a bit upset you took it out on me but it's okay because you apologised and cleaned up" she kisses my cheeks and snuggles into my chest
"Thank you Rose" i kiss her forehead and sit with her in silence wishing I never followed ok with my friends.
