Still Mattheo's P.O.V
We head down to the Great Hall and Draco's eyes shoot up to the door and widen when he sees me holding Esmeralda's hand. I pull her close and put my arm around her. She looks down and tears up a bit. I see Pansy and Polly walk towards us.
"Teo baby, let's go eat." Polly says to me.
"It's Riddle to you and can't you see that I'm busy?"
"With what? I don't see anything." Draco comes up to us.
"Esme, is that you?"
"You promised me Draco. You promised that you would never leave me. And you forgot about me."
"I didn't forget-"
"Draco darling, who are you talking to?" Pansy shouts.
"She is no longer your concern. . . Malfoy. You left her there."
"Riddle is right Draco. Did you even visit her once?" Artemis Celeste said I would watch her follow the vines for two years, I know she cares.
"You took her from me Riddle!" I sent Esmeralda to sit with Artemis. Before I to go 'talk' to Malfoy, I kissed the top of her head.
~Artemis' P.O.V~
I gladly took my best friend and kissed her cheek.
"I'm here sweetie." I whisper to her.
"Where is Teo? I need him." I hugged her and she finally focused on me.
"ARTEMIS!!! I WAS SO SCARED! IT WAS SO DARK!!! DON'T LEAVE ME ARTEMIS!!! TEO!!!" She starts gripping me tightly and screaming loudly, being frantic.
"I won't leave you Esme. MATTHEO!" He turns and rushes back over with Draco close behind. Pansy and Polly are laughing.
"Yes I agree Pug Face, mental, emotional, and physical trauma is super hilarious isn't it?" I glare at them, my hair turning red.
"I'm here princes, I'm here." Esme rushes into Mattheos arms and I pet her hair.
"This isn't my Esme. What happened to you?"
"She almost died Malfoy. Want to know the first thing she asked me when I saved her? SHE ASKED ME IF YOU FORGOT ABOUT HER!!! SHE IS BROKEN BECAUSE OF PANSY BUT-"
"You are also to blame Draco " I finished for him
"Mattheo, calm down."
"NO! THIS ASSHOLE DOESN-" Esme grips onto him again.
"I'm sorry princess." He kisses the top of her head. I start walking towards Draco.
"She was locked in a cage, arms up in chains, her ring finger covered in a blood stained golden cloth with thorns poking through it, eyes black and dying. You didn't visit her once for two years and she thought you were coming to save her." Draco looks away ashamed. I forced him to look at Mattheo rocking a sleeping Esme in his arms.
"Look at them. He saved her. You don't deserve her but he does. You left her, dying and broken hearted. He came and is showing her love."
"But he's a Riddle. He doesn't help people, he hurts them."
"Does it look like she is in pain?" I walk over to Mattheo, remove Esme from his grasp, and we all watch as Esmes movements stop completely, she just goes still. I push Draco to her, he holds her and she looked at him. Looking around she makes eye contact with Mattheo and she stretches her arms arms out to him.
"TEO!" He pushes Draco away and hold her tightly.
"You left her and now, you have to watch as another man, that actually loves her, takes her and gives her what you promised her you would."
