"I'm sorry babe, I know you're mad but I literally got to ride a dinosaur today, I'm pretty sure there's nothing on this planet that can dampen my mood right now and no, that's not a challenge," you say giving your boyfriend your best puppy eyes, as you walk back out from your closet, wanting him to forgive you. Loki obviously wasn't exactly happy to find out when he arrived with his brother to pick you up, that you wandered off alone in the desert with a dinosaur without telling anyone. Even though it was easy to find you, considering Devil had a tracker in his collar, not that you went too far to begin with, but the God of Mischief was mad anyway, as you made him worry. Well, worry more, as he was already anxious about leaving you with the Agents of Smash, knowing full-well the trouble they always seemed to get themselves into. He even gave you a bit of a lecture before he took you back home, but you were smiling the entire time, you couldn't help it, getting extremely cuddly the more mad Loki got. You found it so cute and you weren't sure why, but you couldn't help how you felt, as today was wonderful, you got to meet the Agents of Smash, play with and ride a dinosaur and to end the day right, you spent it with the one you loved most.
Loki was happy that you had fun, of course he was but, being very protective of you he couldn't help but get mad, and you didn't seem to understand why which made it a little worse. The cuter and flirtier you got only added fuel to the fire, as the God of Mischief thought you weren't taking the situation or him very seriously and eventually he had enough. Loki made you look at him, getting very serious and you straightened up, dropping your smile, your mood entirely shifts and all the negative things that occurred during your visit to Vista Verde came rushing back. Before you said anything else in response, you first apologized for your behaviour, you didn't recognize he was being serious, you then asked Loki what you could do to make it up to him. Loki lets out an exhausted sigh as you slowly reach out and wrap your arms around him, resting your head on his shoulder from behind, deciding that you would wait for him to respond and not talk. "Firstly, darling, you're going to tell me why you left to go on a walk, as Hulk said you seemingly just disappeared out of nowhere, after that I'll decide what to do with you," Loki spoke soft and stern but not cold, as at the sight of your serious expression he relaxed somewhat.
You hesitated, even physically pulling away as you worried if you told Loki what happened it would hurt his feelings, the Smashers didn't exactly say the nicest things about him after all. It made you feel bad, as it meant you couldn't hang out with them and as you thought about it more, the more down you got, although you still thought it would be amazing if you all got along and became friends. Loki turned as you drew away, seeing that your mood dropped and worried something bad happened, he grabbed you and pulled you back in, wrapping his arms around as he held you between his legs. You squirmed a little, rather uncomfortable with being held right now but at the same time you didn't want Loki to let go, seriously, were you a cat in a past life?
Putting your weird thoughts aside, you took a deep breath and told Loki the truth; that during one of your conversations you revealed to them that he was your best friend and they didn't take it well. "I know with your history it would be difficult for them to understand and I told them to keep an open mind but once Red spoke up, they all started arguing..." you said, pulling your knees in, holding them close feeling ashamed as you continued. "I tried to voice my opinion and defend you but they got so loud and looked kind of mad, so I... I left to clear my head, and Devil followed me out, offering to take me for a ride and feeling so down I accepted..." you explained, before apologizing to Loki saying you should have stayed and done more to support and protect him. "You're my best friend and boyfriend, I should have said something, I'm so sorry Loki, you deserve better" you whispered that last part but the God of Mischief still heard you, leaning in to rest his head on your shoulder.
He told you it was okay, he knew this was how most people reacted to him being a "good guy" now, the hate, the doubt, and for the most part, he didn't care, as they didn't matter to him. Loki knew you or Hulk must have said something, as when he arrived with his brother to pick you up, none of the Agents of Smash were surprised to see him, they didn't even try to fight or throw insults at him, which was definitely a surprise. He thought maybe it was because his brother was there, but that didn't seem likely, not that he paid it much mind after finding out you had wandered away with a freakin' dinosaur. Although, the God of Mischief probably shouldn't have been that surprised, as he could absolutely see you doing that, riding off into the sunset on a dino, somehow convincing him to get on too. Loki did notice after finding and giving you a hard time for running off, the Hulks were seemingly acting a bit different, a little less cold perhaps, however, the God of Mischief was certain he read them wrong, but he was right. They noticed how Loki acted with you, his concern for you appeared genuine, and although none of them would probably be close friends with him if at all, they could see that he really cared about you. They also saw how you lit up with him, even after giving you a hard time, you seemed truly happy to just be around him, you were literally glowing softly the second he showed up and didn't stop even as you were leaving.
You both sat quietly for a few moments, unsure of what to say to the other, but eventually, you tell Loki that you will be a better friend and partner by defending him against anyone and everyone. "Don't worry about it darling, it's not a big deal," Loki stated, and you were briefly confused before getting more upset, pulling yourself free from his grasp to turn around and face him. You're standing now, staring down at the God of Mischief with your arms crossed, practically shouting, "it is a big deal, I fucked up, I should always do my best to support and defend you but I didn't, I walked away, and I'm so ashamed". You dropped to your knees, apologizing, as to you it was a huge deal, you knew what it felt like to have no one defend you, and you couldn't help but get upset, feeling terrible, as you failed him. Loki for his part was surprised at first, as besides the day you met and the occasional one-off, he's never really heard you swear, and it's not that you didn't, it's just that you unconsciously acted a little different with him.
After shaking the initial shock of hearing you cuss, Loki repeated himself, saying that it wasn't a big deal for him, expanding on his statement by explaining he didn't really care about what others said, as not everyone was going to like you. "I know that..." you whispered softly, finding all your anger had vanished, reaching out to wrap your arms around Loki as you stood, slowly getting on top of him before continuing. "But I'm supposed to defend, protect, and care for you, is that not my purpose?" you meant to say job, but you didn't, nor did you correct yourself as you didn't catch it, but Loki did, appreciating the sentiment but he didn't take your statement to heart, as he could not see the gravity of what your words meant to you, what he truly meant to you. Taking a deep breath, you then promised that you wouldn't spend time with the Agents of Smash again, not unless they could at least respect him a little, not as a hero or as a reformed villain but as a person. Loki told you that was not necessary, but you interrupted, "no baby, I'm not going to actively spend time with people who can't see you for the amazing person you are". Loki instantly tensed up, as although he was mad earlier, he found your sort of angry reaction more amusing than anything but at your words, his mood shifted again and he became all serious, recognizing that what happened affected you deeply.
Loki paused for a moment, thinking what he could do, but as you drew closer and closer, moving yourself tight against him, he knew exactly what he was going to do with you. In mere seconds, Loki had flipped the two of you in such a way you were now lying beneath him on your bed, "how the hell did he?" you thought as you had no idea how he did that in like one move. The God of Mischief leaned in close soon whispering, "now what to do with you...", of course, he knew what he was going to do but he wanted to see how you'd react, and it definitely wasn't a disappointment. In an instant, your face turned red, and instead of words, little squeaks, moans, and adorable gibberish started escaping from your mouth as you tried to speak, but you found that you were too flustered, equally excited and terrified at what was currently happening.
Loki leaned closer, giving you a mischievous grin and finding yourself overwhelmed and unable to control yourself, you shot up towards him, pressing your lips against his. You steady yourself with your forearm, turning your upper body slightly you wrapped your other arm around him, pulling him closer to you, and you soon feel him pressing something between your legs. Loki shoved you back against the bed and you could feel him undoing the zipper of your hoodie, practically ripping it open before pulling up your Sesame Street crop top, showing off your white lace bra. He let you sit up for a moment and you took off your hoodie and your shirt as he tore off his, before reaching out and pulling loose the drawstrings on your little black pyjama shorts. Loki yanks off your shorts and pins you back to the bed, leaving kisses on your neck and collar bone while you turn your head and reach out to your side table, but it was too far away so you ended up opening the drawer with your powers.
You click the little hidden button to pop open your secret drawer when you heard the doorbell, then the faint sound of someone knocking on the front door, and your eyes go wide as you snap back to reality. You let out a groan as you didn't want to go answer the door, but knew you probably would, in case it was something your mother ordered off the internet and you whisper "fuck me" as this was hardly the first time something or someone interrupted your time with Loki. Plenty of make-out and snuggle sessions were interrupted by one thing or another, and Loki jokingly saying, "I was trying to, darling", was not helping your mood in the slightest. You then got a call on your cell phone and seeing as you were already getting up to get the door, you decided to answer it, and as it turned out, it was MJ who called. Apparently, it was her at the door, she called to make sure you knew she was there and told you to hurry down as she had a surprise for you, but you accidentally let it slip that you needed a minute. You tried to hold back a moan as MJ asked what was up and you turn to glare at Loki who was still playing with you, and you said, "oh, there's just a snake wrapped around me at the moment and it's going to take a minute to get them to let go".
You said goodbye and hung up, forcing Loki to let go as he really didn't want to, but you told him MJ was at the door and you had to go get it, ordering him to put his clothes back on as you got up. You quickly threw back on your shorts and shirt, nearly falling over in the process while Loki just watched you, amused by how flustered you were at the moment. As you reached the door you suddenly stopped, turned around and used your powers to grab your hoodie, telling Loki again to get dressed as you would die of shame if MJ saw him essentially naked. You glared at the God of Mischief until he promised before flying down the multiple flights of stairs to get the door, unaware that you forgot to close your secret drawer.
You open the front door to see not only MJ but Peter, Harry, Flash, and Miles, yelling surprise as soon as you opened the door, freaking you out, practically giving you a heart attack. "Don't scare me like that, god..." you say trying to recover from the jumpscare you just received, before inviting them in, only noticing now that they brought food and drinks with them. You just stood there as they all come in saying hi and asking how you are, you weren't exactly in shock but you didn't really know what to do at that moment but MJ had your back. She told the others to take the food and drinks down to the kitchen, with Peter leading the way as he had been there before and as soon as they were all out of earshot she pulled you into a hug. She apologized for interrupting, and you look at her a little confused, asking what she meant, and MJ raised an eyebrow at you before she whispered that your shorts were on backwards. You look down, squeaking in surprise, realizing that your shorts were in fact on backwards and immediately rushing off to the half bath to fix it, about to die of shame.
You stick your head out of the bathroom door, feeling incredibly sheepish as you walk out, with MJ not so subtly asking about "it" and you admit you didn't get to that part yet. You slowly walk past her to go back upstairs to get Loki to see him already coming down and you freak out more worried that he might have heard what you said to MJ even though you spoke quietly. Loki simply came over pulling you into his arms, giving you a kiss on your forehead being all sweet before ruining it by whispering about you having to return what you bought for them, as they would be too small for him, but that the lube should be fine. He then gave you a devious little grin before giving you another little kiss and walking away to greet Ms.Watson, then heading downstairs, saying he was going to say hello to all the young heroes and that he'd see you down there.
You sent MJ ahead of you downstairs as you needed time to get into the right headspace for having company, and you actually went back to your floor to listen to some music, sitting with Lily for a bit. After about 15 minutes or so you were good and headed down to the others who were waiting for you, even cheering a little as you walked into the kitchen. They were all happy to see you, even more so to see you were doing well, with you thanking them awkwardly as you weren't used to this much personal attention, but you got through it, and all things considered, you had a really good time, despite there being so many people in your house. At one point Peter pulled you aside, to talk, saying that because of what happened, Director Fury said you didn't have to go on the patrol tomorrow if you weren't feeling up to it, that is. You thought about it, and although you were nervous you decided that you'd do it, telling Peter that you were still in, you wanted to "get back on the horse" as they say, promising to meet them tomorrow at the designated spot and time.
You arrived early, feeling rather anxious about the whole thing, you couldn't really bring a backpack with you, in case you got into a fight so you had to leave everything at home. You knew you'd drop or lose something, the only thing you did bring was a paper bag full of muffins for your fellow heroes in case any of them needed a snack before starting their patrol. You sat down on the edge, about to pull out a muffin when Triton arrived, but that was to be expected, as a member of the Inhuman Royal Family, his manners and time management were impeccable. You offered him a muffin, saying they were Banana Chocolate Chip Oatmeal, and although he found it a little odd, as the others wouldn't bring snacks, he accepted and sat with you. Next to arrive were the ladies, White Tiger and Spider-Woman, who gladly took a muffin, and sat down with you, telling you the treats you made were delicious. Nova and Patrioteer arrived next, followed by Agent Venom and the second those three got together they started making bets, whether or not Spidey would be late today.
"It's not my fault, Miles was taking forever to get ready", Peter insisted, but Kid Arachnid was not impressed, claiming it was Spidey who took forever in the bathroom, doing his hair or something when he really had to go. You couldn't help but laugh as you headed off with everyone, separating into teams, you, Patrioteer, and Agent Venom, then Spiderman, Kid Arachnid, and Spider-Woman, and finally, White Tiger, Nova, and Triton. You double-checked to make sure your communicators were synced before heading off to different parts of the city, following up on Police Radio Chatter, which you thought was so cool. It was quiet for the most part in the section you were covering, but you did end up doing the classic hero thing of getting a cat out of a tree, the feline in question was not too happy about being returned to her owner, who looked about 5, and gave her kitten perhaps a little too much love.
Eventually, there was some kind of attack though, not that it was that much of a surprise, considering it was New York and Super-Villain attacks happened here like on a weekly basis. Your team was in charge of evacuating civilians, which in all honesty, you were thrilled about, Harry and Flash weren't but they quickly got over it and did their job, all be it, a little grumpy. You were super happy though, not really wanting to get into a fight during your first patrol, but apparently, with your luck and the universe clearly having it out for you, a fight was inevitable. You were near one of the perimeters set up by the police, helping escort out a handful of people, having a bit of trouble as there were more than a few Karens in the group when suddenly, you heard it. You turn around and look down the street, to see something or someone smashing through the wall, "fuck" you think as your eyes go wide, as on closer inspection, it was the one and only Juggernaut.
"Yep, the universe hates me," was the first thing out of your mouth before calling in for backup, not mentioning that it was the Juggernaut, not that anyone would be able to hear you over all the screaming. Luckily, Shield had installed some kind of device that could block out Ambient sounds in your suit, so all the screaming wasn't too much of a problem for you, so you were able to focus on the fight ahead. Unfortunately, the loud noise was still a problem as when you called into the others they really couldn't hear you over all the screams and didn't quite catch what you said, so right now you were on your own. Not for long though, as although the others couldn't really hear you over the comms, Harry and Flash were still nearby, with the Jock being weirdly pumped about fighting the Juggernaut the second he saw him. The Patrioteer was less excited, actually, he was kind of terrified considering Cain Marko was one of the strongest villains on the planet, not to mention, with his armour, nearly indestructible.
You, however, read up on most of the villain files while you were at home for a week after the incident with MJ and luckily one of the files you looked at was on Cain Marko, so you knew what needed to be done in order to defeat him. You called to Agent Venom and the Patrioteer, telling them they needed to find a way to get his helmet off, from there the Juggernaut could be knocked out with a really strong punch or a strong psychic attack. "But seeing as there isn't anyone here with Telepathy of any kind we'll have to go with option number one", you say before asking if they had any ideas, they didn't but you couldn't let him get away. You slid towards him, swiping the money he had in his hands as you passed him yelling out a taunt as you went, "I thought you were unstoppable Mr.Juggernaut, but I guess at your age reflexes do start to slow down...". This of course pissed the Juggernaut off, but that was the goal, make him mad so that he'd chase you to somewhere with less breakable things and fewer civilians. "When I catch you, kid, you're so dead", the Juggernaut shouted and you retorted, "that's assuming you can catch me, old man" before using your powers to launch yourself away from him, speeding off as fast as possible as the guy could easily crush you.
"What? Nothing else to say girly?" the Juggernaut jeered, as you hadn't said anything else since starting the chase, you were concentrating on where you were going rather than talking, finding it kind of hard to do both. Eventually, Harry flew in overhead, blasting the Juggernaut as he came closer, saying that the team was on their way, but there were other villains in the city they were fighting and that Flash got caught up protecting civilians. You nodded your head to show that you heard him, before turning around for a moment, tossing him the money as it was slowing you down, and as you did Juggernaut's focus briefly went to him. You saw an opening and didn't have the time to second guess yourself, you moved in, leaping high over Cain, blasting him in the face with a bolt of light, temporarily blinding him. He cried out, not so much from the pain but from the fact that he couldn't see all of a sudden, also cussing you out for doing that to him, although you were too focused to notice. You moved in closer, doing your best to dodge his powerful flailing limbs, managing to pull loose one of the fasteners on his helmet, but before you could undo another, he backhanded you and you went flying.
The Juggernaut hit you square in the torso, knocking the wind out of you and possibly breaking all of your ribs and at that moment you wondered if this is what it felt like to be hit by a bus. Honestly, though, you were surprised you were still in one piece as he sent you flying, with you quickly realizing you couldn't breathe as you were hurled across the sky. As everything started to go dark you tried raising your arms to protect your face as you knew colliding with the ground at this speed was going to hurt, like a lot. But as your ribs popped back up into place and your eyes shot open with you taking in a sharp breath, as you could suddenly breathe again, coughing up a bit of blood you realized someone caught you before you hit the ground. Your vision was blurry at first, and when you saw a blue figure you thought it was Patrioteer but the voice was off, and you never once heard him call anyone Fräulein.
"Are you alright Fräulein?" you heard the voice call again, you recognized the accent was Eastern European, and the person in question sounded quite distressed, but then again if you saw someone get backhanded by the Juggernaut you would be pretty worried too. You kept your eyes closed, everything was too bright at the moment and you didn't want to open them yet but as you placed your one arm on your torso you whispered, "I'm okay, thank you". You heard other voices, including the Juggernaut's and you knew you couldn't rest yet so you forced your eyes open to find that your knight in shining armour was a blue furry guy in red and black spandex. The man looked to be in his mid-20s, with a slender but fit, muscular frame, long messy hair that was a shade darker than the rest of his fur, as well as a long tail, pointy elf-like ears and fangs. To be honest, he kind of looked like a demon, at least the way they're portrayed in the media, but something told you that despite his appearance, he was on the side of the angels.
You were about to say something when the Juggernaut came into view with Harry and Flash firing at him, along with several others, a man who shot lasers from his eyes, a red-haired lady who was using telekinesis, Wolverine, and a brown and white-haired lady, but she didn't appear to be doing anything yet. The Juggernaut was getting closer, promising to tear off your arms when you suddenly found yourself teleported away, discovering you were a ways down from the fight, relatively safe for the moment. You thanked him again, before asking him to put you down as you knew there was still a fight to win and the man asked if you were certain, you nodded saying you had taken harder hits than that. "I'm Nightcrawler, of the X-Men," he said as he put you down, sticking out his hand, which you took, introducing yourself as Aurora, of Shield Academy, discovering in probably the most awkward way possible that he had three-fingered hands. You didn't say anything about it while trying to act as normal as you could, despite feeling weird about it, not that you were judging, you just didn't know three fingers were an option until now.
You quickly got over the weirdness and head with Nightcrawler back into the fight, catching and blocking incoming debris, launching it back at the Juggernaut, who managed to temporarily escape. The X-Man known as Cyclops started calling out to his team, coming up with a plan the second they got a breather, while you called in to let your team know that other heroes had arrived to assist when you noticed Harry was down. You ran over to him, calling out his hero name healing him up the second you were by his side but his suit was too badly damaged to continue fighting and to be honest Agent Venom didn't look too good either. You ordered Flash to get Harry back to the Triskelion while you go after the Juggernaut with these X-Men people, as you weren't ready to stand down yet.
You would have healed up Flash too but it was tricky with the Symbiote Venom being a part of him, it didn't seem to work with the two of them together and you weren't sure why because you could heal up MJ no problem. They tried to argue but you weren't having any of it, telling them to go back right now, they didn't have a choice, they were hurt and would endanger others, threatening that if they didn't go you would never bake treats for them again. So with that, they headed off back to the Triskelion while you slid back over to the X-Men, asking Mr.Cyclops what the plan was, and how you could help. They were reluctant at first but seeing as you also had a form of telekinesis like Jean you could assist with her part in the plan, and you went along with it, promising to do your best.
They went over the plan again as Wolverine tracked down the Juggernaut and you nodded your head, giving them a thumbs-up as you headed off with Ms.Grey to complete the plan. Logan moved in first, yelling taunts and insults to get the Juggernaut to come out of hiding, and he does, quickly charging and chasing him right into the trap. You pop out along with Jean and hold him back with your abilities, with Cyclops blasting him with a powerful beam to aid the two of you, as it was a struggle. You start to light up and the ground around you starts to crack as you focus and use all your power, repeatedly telling yourself that you only had to hold on for a little longer, just a little longer. It was Nightcrawler's turn, he teleported in just above Cain, dropping Rogue on top of him so she could drain some of his power before teleporting back behind you, Jean, and Cyclops. Wolverine then moved in again, and together, Rogue and himself managed to pop his helmet off, tossing it to the side before both X-Men punched him in the face. At the same time, Jean hits the Juggernaut with a psychic attack, making sure that the big guy would be out for a while, just before you and her pass out due to over-taxing your powers, with Cyclops catching Jean and Nightcrawler catching you.
You woke up on the sidelines with a couple of Shield Medics looking you over but you quickly get up saying you were fine, watching other Agents escort Cain Marko off in cuffs as you walked towards Director Fury and Wolverine who were talking. Fury turned to you, asking if you were alright and you nodded your head, before turning to Wolverine, addressing him as Mr.Logan, asking where the others went as you didn't get a chance to say goodbye. "They already left, kid," he said in a gruff tone, and you nod your head, thanking him anyway, before sticking out your arm to shake his hand, saying it was nice to meet him, introducing yourself properly as you didn't get a chance to earlier. You told Wolverine that you looked forward to seeing him and the X-Men again, hoping you could all be friends before saying goodbye and politely excusing yourself to go process what the fuck just happened.
