Blossom: You're busy?
You awkwardly stood there with a nervous smile. Blossom had invited you out to go rollarskating with her and her sisters, Mitch and Robin were planning on going as well, but you had to turn her down.
You rubbed the back of your neck.
Y/N: Yeah. Uh, cause, you know, I have Brat and Courage...
Blossom: They can come to. I'm sure Courage knows how to skate.
You nodded.
Y/N: Right. Yeah. For sure. But, uh....
How were you supposed to tell her that you had a friend in town without her trying to invite him? Plus you had dinner with the other Saturdays and they had Fiskerton.
Girl: Who's that?
Boy: How did he get his hair like that?
Eddy: Did we get another new kid?
You and Blossom looked down the hall at the whispers. However, your eyes grew wide when you saw who it was.
Zak smiled with his hands in his pockets. He winked at a few girls as he made his way towards you. When he was close enough, you threw an arm around his neck and pulled him away from everyone.
Y/N: What are you doing here?!
Zak just smirked.
Zak: Came to pick up my friend and walk him home. Mom also said that I needed to keep you away from the apartments for a while.
Y/N: What? Why?
Zak: Don't tell them I said anything, but they got a surpise for you.
Blossom: Y/N?
You both looked back to see that Blossom was looking at you oddly. You both quickly stood back up and smiled.
Blossom: Is this a friend of yours?
Y/N: Hm? Oh, uh, yeah. Blossom, this is Zak Saturday. Zak, this is Blossom Utonium.
Zak suddenly smirked.
Zak: Oh? This is the famous Blossom you've been telling me about? You weren't kidding. She is pretty.
Your cheeks went red as did Blossom's. You didn't say she was pretty per say. Zak just asked if she was cute and you said that she was pretty. So, you kinda did say she was pretty.
But you told him that in confidence.
As for Blossom herself, she was surpised that you talked about her like that. She didn't really expect that from you.
Blossom: Um, it's nice to meet you.
She held out her hand for him to shake, but Zak went a bit further. He took her hand and kissed her knuckle with a wink.
Zak: A pleasure.
You couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. You nudged his rib which made him let go. He just laughed.
Zak: Sorry. Couldn't help myself.
Blossom just stared at her hand with wide eyes. He was definitely charming. She wondered why you never mentioned him before.
Zak: Sorry if I interrupted something.
Blossom finally snapped out of her thoughts.
Blossom: Oh, no. You're okay. I was just inviting Y/N to come rollarskating. But if two already have plans...
Zak: We don't, actually. I was actually told to keep him out of the old apartment for a few hours.
Blossom: Oh. Well, do you want to come along?
Zak: Would that be okay?
Blossom: Of course! Any friend of Y/N is a friend of ours.
Zak smiled.
Zak: Well, good thing I'm his oldest friend. Rollarskating, huh? Been a while.
He laughed a bit when he turned to you.
Zak: Didn't you end up knocking yourself out against the wall? I had to carry you back to your grandma's.
You rolled your eyes.
Y/N: That was only because I got bumped.
Zak: Sure. That's the reason. Not because you suck at keeping your balance.
Blossom watched the two of you interact. She was honestly surpised that you were acting like this.
Was this how you usually were?
Power Up!
Zak walked with all of you to the Rollarskating rank. You sent a message to Liz to tell her to tell Brat to meet you there. Still, you were a bit worried about how the others would respond to Zak.
Bubbles: So you and Y/N have been friends for a long time?
Zak: Since we were, like, 6 or so.
Mitch was surpised. You never mentioned him before.
Zak: But we go back. Been getting into trouble like a couple of hooligans since we first met.
He threw an arm around you and pulled you into a headlock. You laughed a bit before you lifted him up with ease.
Everyone immediately became worried about you exposing your powersike this, but Zak seemed to have already known. Mitch even looked to Robin but she just saw two guys play wrestling.
Buttercup: You two are pretty close, huh?
You set Zak back down.
Y/N: Yeah. He's the closest thing I ever had to a brother. An annoying little brother.
Zak: Oh, please. I'm the older one of us two.
You just mumbled under your breath about being the youngest one of your friends. You had confirmed that you were the baby of the group. Mitch was older by two whole months.
Blossom: Where are you from? I can't quite get a pin on your accent.
Zak just shrugged.
Zak: Here, there, everywhere. I travel all the time with my folks. We have a place, but I mostly live on the road.
Robin: What do your parents do?
Zak: They're, uh, scientists. Like Y/N's parents were.
Everyone looked at you.
Y/N: What?
Blossom: You never told us that your parents were scientists.
Y/N: Oh. Well, I guess it was never important to mention.
Your parents weren't Cryptozoologisits, but they did help the Saturdays. The first time you met the Saturdays was actually when they came to your parents for help. You didn't know what it was for until after they died.
Until you got your powers. They were the first ones that your grandma called. It was thanks to them that you didn't end up destroying the barn or flipping the truck or something.
Zak: He likes to be modest. No idea why. He could totally pull in the ladies if he just stopped being so awkward about everything.
Y/N: Says the guy who has, like, two friends his age.
Zak: Not my fault I'm popular. Dude, I'm rated E for everyone.
You just rolled your eyes.
You two seemed close, Buttercup had noticed. It was a bit weird, but she couldn't help but notice that you seemed much more relaxed around him.
Mitch actually found himself a bit jealous. He always thought that he was your best friend.
Zak: And, uh, thanks foretting me come along.
Blossom: It's no problem.
Robin: Yeah. The more the merrier.
Zak smiled charmingly. The girls had all silently agreed that he was quite handsome, but the Powerpuffs preferred you while Robin liked Mitch better.
Zak: Oh, hey, did you ever find a shop to get your watch fixed?
Y/N: Oh, no. Not yet.
Bubbles: Are you looking for one?
You turned to Bubbles.
Y/N: Uh, kinda. Been looking for one for a while now.
Bubbles: Why didn't you just ask? We know someone who could fix almost anything.
Blossom sighed. You eyed her, but she didn't say anything. Still, you could tell that the mention of whoever this person was clearly bothered her.
Bad blood?
Buttercup: Yeah yeah. We can worry about that nerd later. Let's go skating!

The girls were in shock and awe. Mitch and Robin were even surpised.
You and Zak had been killing it on the rank. You both effortlessly showed off like you were professionals. They couldn't believe it.
Robin: They're good.
Brat: Eh. Seen better.
Everyone turned to Brat who was drinking a soda. She didn't want to skate, but she also didn't want to keep hiding in your room while Liz and those weird people talked science.
Robin: I'm sorry, but what was your name again?
Powerpuffs/Mitch/Brat: Britney.
Robin: Oh. Nice to meet you. I'm Robin.
Zak: Good to see you haven't lost your touch, Dead Eye.
Y/N: Why don't you eat my dust, Streak.
You and Zak seemed to be in your own world. You both were very clearly good friends. Best friends, even.
Buttercup: So, I have a question I'm just going to throw out there. Does anyone else feel like an outsider looking in?
All: Yep.
Buttercup: Just checking.
Watching you and Zak, Buttercup couldn't help but feel like she was watching two strangers hang out. She had no idea what to think.
Eventually, you and Zak raced back to the others. He won by a hair, but he made sure to let you know.
Zak: Eat that, Boi!
You rolled your eyes. You both hopped over the side wall and started to take your skates off.
Robin: Where did you guys learn to skate like that?
Zak chuckled a bit.
Zak: The good old Artic. Ice skating translates pretty well to rollarskating.
Mitch: You've been to the artic?
Zak: Been to the artic? I pretty much lived there for a few months. Y/N here actually got to visit me for a week or so.
Everyone was surpised to learn this. You never mentioned that before.
Zak: Hey, do they got food here? I'm starving. Lunch was kinda lacking.
Y/N: Sorry the school doesn't give us anything edible.
Buttercup: Wait, what do you mean? Is that where you disappeared off to?
Zak smiled nervously and scratched his cheek.
Zak: Yeah, sorry. I kinda kidnapped him for a few hours earlier. And we ate lunch together.
That's where you ran off to?
Blossom was a little shocked. She never took you to be someone who would ditch school like that. And you didn't even say anything.
Bubbles was also surpised. You two always ate lunch together but you managed to sneak away. She didn't even think that you had eaten with someone else.
Mitch: Uh, they have food. We can get something if you want?
Zak: Sure. I'll even pay as a thank you for letting me come along.
Y/N: Free food? I'm in.
Zak elbowed your arm.
Zak: You're still an endless pit, huh? Somethings never change.
You ruffled his hair before you both followed Mitch towards the concession stand. The girls watched for a moment. Finally, Blossom crossed her arms.
Blossom: Is it bad that I'm a bit jealous right now? I mean, what the heck.
Buttercup: I know, right? It's like I suddenly don't know anything about him!
Brat: Did they say free food?
The girls watched as Brat hurried along to catch up to the three of you.
Robin: So, uh, just wondering, why does she look like a goth version of Bubbles? Did I miss something?

You sat at a table with Mitch, Zak, and Brat. You and Brat both ate the boat of fries that remained after eating an entire pizza.
Mitch: You really do eat a lot.
Zak: Dude, you should see him when there's an all you can eat buffet. It's insane.
Mitch: Tell me that when you see him eat three whole party platters.
After some conversation, Mitch and Zak had become a bit more friendly. Actually, Mitch couldn't really find a reason to hate Zak. And Zak only had respect for Mitch.
Zak: So, you're a wide receiver? You're the one who gets the goals, huh?
Mitch: I guess. I mean, it's a team effort.
Zak: Oh, for sure. I mean, who else is gonna stop you from getting sacked?
Mitch chuckled. You smiled at the sight if your two friends getting along. Meanwhile, at the table behind you, the girls ate their own food. Though, they were only annoyed by your friend.
Blossom: He just shows up and suddenly we don't exist?
Buttercup: Who does this guy think he is? Y/N was supposed to hang it with us.
Bubbles: Why is Brat closer to them than me? I'm the original!
Robin: Zak and Mitch seem to be getting along. Good. He needs more normal friends.
Robin like Zak. The others, not so much.
Mitch: So, Zak, are your parents here to?
Zak: Yeah. Actually, we're having dinner with Y/N and Liz. And, uh, you to, Brat. Or, sorry, I mean Britney. My brother is here to.
Mitch: Your brother?
Y/N: Finkerton.
You looked around before you leaned forward.
Y/N: He's a Cryptid.
Zak hit your shoulder for spilling the beans, but you just smirked.
Zak: Wait, does he know?
You nodded. You sat back down and showed him your hand. The black mark appeared. Mitch and Beat held up their hands as well.
Y/N: A few things had changed since we last spoke. Turns out, I'm something known as a King. I have this new power.
Zak: For real?
You nodded. You made sure no one was looking before you reached your hand out. Suddenly, Zak's cup was grabbed by a black hand and pulled into the table. It then appeared in front of you.
Zak's eyes grew wide.
Zak: Woah. That's new. Neat trick.
Y/N: Comes in handy. But I can share this power with other people.
Mitch: I got heighten senses and reflexes.
Zak looked to Brat.
Zak: What can you do?
Brat shrugged.
Brat: Haven't figured it out yet.
Zak: Still cool.
Y/N: They're my Knights. Mitch here as actually been helping me a lot lately.
Zak turned to Mitch and smiled.
Zak: Guess I should be thanking you for keeping him out of trouble then.
You rolled your eyes. Mitch just chuckled.
Mitch: It's always good to have someone watching your back. You don't have to worry.
Zak: That's a relief.
You smiled a bit.

You and Mitch talked to Brat about maybe hanging out sometime soon. Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles were ready to head home. They said their goodbyes and started to leave, but someone stopped them.
Zak: Hey, wait up.
They stopped and looked back. Zak made his way over to them. While the girls weren't too excited, they knew it would be rude if they just left.
Blossom: Hey, Zak. Did you need something?
Zak stopped when he finally reached them. He then looked back towards you to make sure you weren't listening.
Zak: I, uh, just wanted to talk to you three real quick.
Bubbles: I don't know. We really should get going.
Zak: I'll be quick. I swear.
Blossom figured she might as well hear him out.
Zak: I just want to thank you girls.
They were surpised. Zak sighed before he rubbed his neck.
Zak: I know he would kill me if he finds out I told you about this, but Y/N hasn't had the best of luck when it comes to making friends. Uh, he was actually picked on a lot when he was younger.
The girls looked at him in shock. They never knew about that. You never said anything about that before.
Zak: After his parents died, he was kinda alone for a while. I was his only friend. Then he moved here and he met all of you. He talks about you three all the time. He really likes you guys. The same goes for Mitch and Jr and Mandy and the others.
Bubbles: Well, Y/N is a great guy.
Zak chuckled.
Zak: Yeah. He is, isn't he?
He then looked back to the sisters.
Zak: So, thank you. Thank you for being his friend and taking care of him. It, uh, means a lot. Especially since I can't always be there, you know?
The girls honestly didn't know what to say. They definitely weren't expecting this. If anything, they were surpised that they were learning so much about you.
They never knew you had such a rough past.
Finally, Blossom took a step forward.
Blossom: It's an honor. You didn't have to worry. We'll take care of him.
Buttercup: Y-Yeah! Totally! I mean, he's super cool. And he's really nice.
Zak smirked.
Zak: I didn't ask why you liked him. But good to know he's got such a cute girl crushing on him.
He winked at her but she only blushed. How mad would you be if she punched your friend?
Zak: Oh, and, uh, keep an eye out for his powers. Just so he stays out of trouble.
The girls looked at him surpised.
Bubbles: You know?!
Zak snorted.
Zak: Know? I was there when he was getting them. My whole family knows.
Bubbles: Were we really the last ones to know?
Zak shrugged. He honestly didn't know who knew outside of the sisters and Mitch. Did that Robin girl know? He didn't know.
Zak: Well, that was all I wanted to say. Thanks for letting me come along. Have a good night.
Blossom: You to. It was nice to meet you. Hopefully we can hang out again soon.
Zak: Likewise.
He winked at them and headed back to you. The sisters watched him as he rejoined you and the others.
After a moment, they flew up into the air. In the end, they headed home. And after talking to Mitch and Robin for a bit longer, you, Brat, and Zak headed back to the apartment for dinner.
