(Riya takes her car and leaves from there. She again tries calling Manik, but his phone is switched off, making her worried.)

Riya- Please be there, Manik. And please be safe.

(After driving for some time, she stops the car outside a mansion and sighs when she finds Manik's car parked there too. It is the same mansion where they both came together last time, and she somehow knew she would find him here.)

(Riya then quickly enters and finds the butler in the hall.)

Riya- Kaka Manik kahan hai?

[Riya- Where is Manik, Uncle?]

Kaka- Vo baba jab se aaye hain tab se upar kamre mein hi hai beta. Unhone mujhse kaha tha ki jab aap aaye to main aap ko upar bhej du.

[Kaka- Ever since he has come, he has been upstairs in the room. He told me that I should send you upstairs when you arrive.]

Riya (confused)- Okay, thank you, kaka.

[Riya (confused)- Okay, thank you, Uncle.]

(The butler nods, and Riya goes upstairs to their room. She opens the door and enters to see the room all dark and the door to the balcony open. She switches on the flashlight from her phone and, after finding the switchboard on the wall, switches on the dim lights in the room. After taking a deep breath, she goes towards the balcony and sighs in relief at finding him standing near the railing, looking outside. She is about to speak his name but notices that he has a cut on his hand and sighs. Her eyes then fall on the broken glass that lies near the table in the room. She removes the first aid box from the drawer and then goes to him.)

Riya- Manik.

(He looks at her blankly, and she sighs on it. She takes the cotton and the ointment and starts cleaning his wound. After bandaging his injury, he keeps looking at her cleaning it, and she caresses his hand softly and kisses it.)

Riya- Zyaada to nahi dukh raha hai naa?

[Riya- Is it hurting much?]

Manik (slowly)- Tch! Ab to aadat ho chuki hai.

[Manik (slowly)- Tch! I am used to it now.]

Riya- And I won't let it stay. Bohot jaldi ye aadat change ho jayegi.

[Riya- And I won't let it stay. Very soon, this habit will change.]

Manik- Isse koyi change nahi kar sakta. Meri life mein harr happiness period ke baad naa kuch sad periods hain. And they are as a reminder, ki Manik Malhotra to kabhi khush reh hi nahi sakta. Uski life se problems kabhi nahi jaa sakti.

[Manik- No one can change this. There are some painful periods in my life after every happy period. And they are a reminder that Manik Malhotra can never be happy. Problems can never go away from his life.]

Riya- Main nahi maanti iss baat ko. Instead, ye jo problems hain, vo hum dono ke bond ko strong karne ke liye hain. Aur uske baad there is a period of happiness as our reward.

[Riya- I do not accept this. Instead, These problems are there to strengthen the bond between us. And after that, there is a period of happiness as our reward.]

(He then holds her hand close to his heart with both his hands and looks at her teary-eyed.)

Manik- Riya... tumhe mere saath reh kar kabhi aisa lagta hai... like I am just a loser and...

[Manik- Riya... do you ever feel while being with me... like I am just a loser and...]

Riya- No, Manik. Aisa kuch nahi hai. You are not a loser. Ye sab mat socho naa Manik, please.

[Riya- No, Manik. There is nothing like that. You are not a loser. Don't think about all this, Manik, please.]

Manik (in choked voice)- Mujhe nahi pata main kya samjhu aur kya nahi. Kya karu main Riya? You tell me. Ye sab...ye sab, it makes me feel worthless. It kills me every time I have an argument with them. Batao mujhe kya karun main? Kaise normal karun sab? Kya karu main?

[Manik (in a choked voice)- I don't know what to understand and what not. What do I do, Riya? You tell me. All this... all this, it makes me feel worthless. It kills me every time I have an argument with them. Tell me, what should I do? How do I make everything normal? What should I do?]

(She looks teary-eyed at him and cups his face with the other hand but looks on concerned when a tear rolls down his eye, which makes her cry too.)

Riya- Manik, don't cry, please. It's not your fault. Please don't cry.

(He closes his eyes and lets more tears roll down, and she frees her hand from his hold and wipes his tears.)

Riya- Manik...

(She bites her lips to control her tears on seeing him in so much pain. She then hugs him tightly, and he too hugs her back instantly, and they both cry in the hug.)

Manik (in tears)- Please ask them to care for me. Please make them love me, Riya, please.

(He hides his face in her neck and cries while she rubs his back to console him. Riya takes a deep breath to control her emotions because she cannot fall weak, especially when he needs her the most.)

Riya- It's going to be okay, Manik. Calm down, please. Calm down.

Manik- It will not be okay. It can never be. It has always been the worse and will always be the same. Meri kismat mein pyaar likha hi nahi hai. I just deserve all the pain and hate.

[Manik- It will not be okay. It can never be. It has always been the worse and will always be the same. Love is not written in my destiny. I just deserve all the pain and hate.]

Riya- Aisa nahi hai Manik. You deserve all the love in this world. Apne aap ko blame mat karo, please.

[Riya- It's not like that, Manik. You deserve all the love in this world. Don't blame yourself, please.]

Manik- Yahi sach hai Riya. I am such a big loser that my parents hate me to this extent. Unko mujh se koyi attachment nahi hai. I am just a burden to them.

[Manik- This is the truth, Riya. I am such a big loser that my parents hate me to this extent. They have no attachments with me. I am just a burden to them.]

(Riya breaks the hug and looks at him in tears, as he looks down and cries, with his eyes closed. She holds his hand and takes him to the room, and makes him sit on the bed. She turns to the other side, takes a deep breath, and wipes her tears. She then picks up a glass of water from the center table and sits beside him on the bed.)

Riya- Manik. Paani peelo please.

[Riya- Manik. Drink some water, please.]

(She makes him drink water herself, and he doesn't stop her. After keeping the glass away, she cups his face gently and makes him look at herself. He looks at her with tear-filled eyes, which she softly cleans with her thumb, and he speaks up.)

Manik- I love them a lot. I know vo mujhe hate karte hain but at the end they are still my parents, and I can't hate them. Bohot gussa aata hai un pe jab vo mujhe baar baar vahi sab kehte hai, par at the end... I do feel bad. Going to them and telling them that I love them a lot and also want them to love me. Par...par isse koyi farak nahi padega. For them, it will always and always be money. Their reputation, their status, and their image. And I will always be a loser to them. Main jo marzi kar lu par iss baat ko kabhi change nahi kar sakta. Never.

[Manik- I love them a lot. I know they hate me, but in the end, they are still my parents, and I can't hate them. I get furious when they repeatedly tell me the same thing, but at the end... I do feel bad. Going to them and telling them that I love them a lot and also want them to love me. But...but it won't make any difference. For them, it will always and always be money. Their reputation, their status, and their image. And I will always be a loser to them. I can do anything, but I can never change this thing. Never.]

(She sighs and speaks up, looking at him, teary-eyed.)

Riya- You know Manik, ki iss duniya ka sab se bada loser kon hai?

[Riya- You know Manik, Who is the world's biggest loser?]

Manik (slowly)- Kon?

[Manik (slowly)- Who?]

Riya- All those people who made you feel low. The people who made you feel worthless. And it's not your loss, Manik. Ye unn ka loss hai that they didn't realize your worth. And for the people who love you and care for you, you inspire them. That you tried your best and fought till the very end. Aur baaki sab ko lagta hoga ki unhone bohot acha kaam kar liya ye sab kar ke. But they will definitely realize that when they lose you, they lose a gem. The most precious one indeed. Aur tab vo apne decisions ko change nahi kar payenge.

[Riya- All those people who made you feel low. The people who made you feel worthless. And it's not your loss, Manik. It is their loss that they didn't realize your worth. And for the people who love you and care for you, you inspire them. That you tried your best and fought till the very end. And everyone else would think that they have done a great job by doing all this. But they will definitely realize that when they lose you, they lose a gem. The most precious one indeed. And then they will not be able to change their decision.]

(Riya looks into his eyes, who is staring at her with an intense gaze and joins her forehead with his. He takes a sigh of relief and closes his eyes, and she softly caresses his cheek with her thumb.)

Riya- You are worthy of all the love and success, Manik. And you have always been the strongest one. And you still are. The strongest and the most special one.

Manik- You think so?

Riya- And tumhe yaad hai hum ne reception party se pehle ek dusre ko ye rings di thi.

[Riya- And you remember we gave each other these rings before the reception party.]

(She holds his hand and caresses the ring and he silently keeps staring at her.)

Riya- We promised to always trust and be there for each other. I won't break that promise ever, Manik. Chahe kuch bhi ho jaye yaa koyi bhi situation ho, chahe saari duniya bhi tumhare khilaaf ho jaye, but I will always be there for you. Forever.

[Riya- We promised to always trust and be there for each other. I won't break that promise ever, Manik. No matter what happens or what the situation is, even if the whole world turns against you, I will always be there for you. Forever.]

(She holds his hand with both hands, kisses his hand lovingly, and then smiles, looking at him. He wraps his arms around her and hugs her tightly, and she, too, reverts the hug back with the same passion.)

Riya- You are the most important person in my life, Manik. You matter the most to me.

Manik (hugging her more)- You are my everything Riya. Everything. There's no one like you.

(They both break the hug, cup each other's face, and share a fiery kiss. They break the kiss after some moments and get away, breathless. She moves closer to him and holds his hand while he looks at her.)

Riya- I won't let you give up, Manik. Jo bhi problems hongi, we will face them together.

[Riya- I won't let you give up, Manik. Whatever the problems are, we will face them together.]

(He kisses her forehead gently, and she closes her eyes, smiling. They both then smile, looking at each other, and she examines his wounded hand.)

Riya- Zyaada pain to nahi ho raha hai naa? Thodi derr baad dubara dressing kar dungi iski hmm.

[Riya- It isn't paining much, right? After a while, I will do the dressing again, hmm.]

Manik- Itna pain nahi ho raha hai and it will be fine. Don't worry about that. But tell me about that emergency thing. Is everything okay at the hospital?

[Manik- It isn't paining much, and it will be fine. Don't worry about that. But tell me about that emergency thing. Is everything okay at the hospital?]

Riya- Finally, it was okay after some 04 hours. Accident case tha and internal injuries bhi bohot thi, to case complicated ban gaya tha. But in the end, everything went well, and the patient was stable.

[Riya- Finally, it was okay after some 04 hours. It was an accident case with many internal injuries, so the case got a little complicated. But in the end, everything went well, and the patient was stable.]

Manik- Well, that's good to hear. So come, let's eat now. Tum subha bhi aise hi chali gayi hogi right?

[Manik- Well, that's good to hear. So come, let's eat now. You must have gone like this in the morning, too, right?]

Riya- To aur kya karti? Aise emergency situations mein khaana pack karne ka time thodi hota hai. Maine socha tha ghar aa kar kuch khaa lungi par jab ghar gayi to Mukti...

[Riya- So what else should I have done? In such emergency situations, there is no time to pack food. I thought I would eat something after coming home, but when I went home, Mukti...]

(She realizes what she said and stops speaking while he looks at her, confused.)

Manik- Ghar pe kya hua? And what about Mukti?

[Manik- What happened at home? And what about Mukti?]

Riya- Manik, you need to talk to Cabir and Mukti. When I reached home...

(She further tells him about Mukti and Cabir's state and how she consoled them and made them eat their food. Manik palms his face and lets out a deep sigh after hearing everything from her.)

Manik- I never wanted them to get affected like this.

Riya- Ye to hoga hi Manik. Vo dono college mein hai par abhi bhi chote hain. Aur ye sab abhi se to nahi ho raha hai. They are scared, Manik. Unke saamne unn ki family tutt rahi hai. I am not blaming anyone, but jab bhi tum aur Mom- Dad gusse mein hote ho to you guys forget about them. If not Mom or Dad, you have always been there for them, Manik. And now the situation has got worse, and they are alone now. Lonely and terrified. Aur uss social image ke chakkar mein kisi ke saath share bhi nahi sakte vo log kuch. All they have is us, Manik. We need to think about them. They need us, and especially you, the most.

[Riya- This is bound to happen, Manik. They are both in college but still young. And all this is not something new. They are scared, Manik. Their family is falling apart in front of them. I am not blaming anyone, but whenever you and mom and dad are angry, you forget about them. If not Mom or Dad, you have always been there for them, Manik. And now the situation has got worse, and they are alone now. Lonely and terrified. And because of that social image, they cannot even share anything with anyone. All they have is us, Manik. We need to think about them. They need us, and especially you, the most.]

Manik- I will talk to them once we reach home.

Riya- Hmm.

(Manik is lost in deep thought, and Riya rubs his arm.)

Riya- It's going to be okay, Manik. I know you can handle them well.

(He gives her a small smile and nods his head.)

Riya- And now go get fresh. I will get the food ready.

(Riya gets up and starts leaving when he thinks something and stops her.)

Manik- No, wait, main fresh hoke neeche aata hoon and we will prepare the food together.

[Manik- No, wait, I will come down after getting fresh, and we will prepare the food together.]

(Riya looks at him for a moment, and he looks on, confused.)

Manik- Hello? Kya hua? Aise kyu dekh rahi ho mujhe?

[Manik- Hello? What happened? Why are you looking at me like that?]

Riya- Mujhe yahan koyi flour fight nahi karni hai Manik, so please. And vaise bhi usme kitna aata waste ho gaya tha.

[Riya- I don't want any floor fight here, Manik, so, please. And anyway, so much flour got wasted in that.]

Manik- Flour fight? No, no, I genuinely want to help you.

Riya- You don't even know how to cook, Manik. How will you help me then?

Manik- Haan to kya hua? I will help you. Aur uske saath kuch seekh bhi jaunga. Jab bhi tum subha aise emergency mein hospital jaa rahi ho I can pack your food. It will be so much help. Aur abhi tum bhi to seedha hospital se yahan aa rahi ho so you will be tired too. To dono mil ke kaam kar lete hai. And if you think I am that husband jis ko kitchen mein kadam nahi rakhna hai then you are highly mistaken, madam. Aisi cheezon mein believe nahi karta main.

[Manik- Yes, so what? I will help you. And I will also learn something along with it. Whenever you go to the hospital for any emergency in the morning, I can pack food for you. It will be so much help. And now, too, you are coming here straight from the hospital, so you will be tired too. So we can work together. And if you think I am that husband who does not want to step into the kitchen, then you are highly mistaken, madam. I don't believe in such things.]

Riya- Okay baba. Main neeche jaati hu tum fresh ho ke aa jao.

[Riya- Okay, okay. I am going downstairs, and you can come after getting fresh.]

Manik- Haan. Bas abhi aaya main.

[Manik- Yes. I am just coming.]

(Manik goes to get fresh, and Riya goes to the kitchen.)

(Manik comes down after getting fresh and finds Riya discussing something with the butler.)

Manik- Come on. Let's cook.

Riya- So? Kon si sabzi khaani hai?

[Riya- So? Which vegetable do you want to eat?]

Manik (shocked)- Vegetable? Who wants to eat that? God!

Riya- To aur kya khaana hai tumhe?

[Riya- So what else do you want to eat?]

Manik- Tum pehle ye batao ki kon si kon si vegetables hain ghar pe?

[Manik- You first tell me which vegetables we have at home?]

Riya- We have carrots, cabbage, French beans, bell pepper, and spring onions.

Manik (smiling)- And this is perfect.

Riya- What is perfect? What are we making with them?

Manik- We will make noodles.

Riya- Noodles? At this time?

Manik- Haan to kya hua. Tumhe pasand nahi hai noodles? Mujhe to bohot pasand hai.

[Manik- Yes, so what. You don't like noodles? I love them.]

Riya- Pasand to mujhe bhi bohot hai. Bas vo veggies mein mushroom add kar do to shayad...

[Riya- I do love them. But if we add mushrooms to them, then may be...]

(He looks at her and shakes his head in disbelief, and she gives him a shy smile.)

Manik- To shuru kare ab noodles with mushrooms banana?

[Manik- Let's start making noodles with mushrooms now?]

Riya- Haan. But chopping tum nahi karoge. Tumhe pehle hi haath pe chot lagi hai. And I...

[Riya- Yes. But you won't be chopping the vegetables. You have already hurt your hand. And I...]

(She looks at him and is shocked as she sees him collecting the vegetables.)

Riya- Manik maine kaha naa tum chopping nahi kar rahe ho aur tum apna haath paani se bhi durr rakho. Main kar lungi chopping tum kuch aur kar lo.

[Riya- Manik, I told you that you are not chopping and keep your hand away from water. I will do the chopping. You do something else.]

Manik (sarcastically)- Tumhare liye hi saaman collect kar raha hoon. Taaki tum chop karna start karo aur main tab tak noodles prepare kar saku.

[Manik (sarcastically)- I am just collecting stuff for you. So that you start chopping, and till then, I can prepare the noodles.]

Riya (cutely)- Okay.

(He smiles, looking at her as she cutely comes to him, takes all the veggies from him, and starts rinsing them. Whereas he takes a pan and boils water in it for the noodles. Riya then chops the vegetables, and Manik prepares the noodles by adding salt and oil to the pan and then the noodles.)

Riya- The veggies are done, Manik.

Manik- Hmm. Ab isse pehle tum phirse mujh pe chillao, just come and drain the water.

[Manik- Hmm. Now before you shout at me again, just come and drain the water.]

Riya (shocked)- Main kab chillayi tum par Manik? Jhoot kyu bol rahe ho tum?

[Riya (shocked)- When did I shout at you, Manik? Why are you lying?]

Manik- Oh hello, main jhoot nahi bolta okay. Aur shaadi ke pehle to tum kitni shaant types thi yaar. Ab kya ho gaya tumhe?

[Manik- Oh, hello, I don't lie, okay. And before marriage, you were such a calm person. What has happened to you now?]

Riya- Shaadi se pehle to tum bhi kitne intelligent the naa Manik. Ab kya ho gaya tumhe?

[Riya- You were also so intelligent before marriage, weren't you, Manik. What has happened to you now?]

Manik (laughing slowly)- Vo shaadi tum se huyi hai to shayad...

[Manik (laughing slowly)- Actually, I got married to you, so...]

(He covers his mouth to stop himself from laughing and looks away while she keeps her hands on her hips and looks sternly at him.)

Riya- Turn around Manik.

(She steps forward and stands in front of him, and he bites his lips to curb his laughter.)

Riya- Manik. Kya bola tumne abhi?

[Riya- Manik. What did you just say?]

Manik- Maine kya kaha? Main to bas aise hi ek gaana gaa raha tha. Bas.

[Manik- What did I say? I was just singing a song. That's it.]

Riya- Acha?

[Riya- Really?]

Manik- Haan aur kya. Chalo noodles banate hai.

[Manik- Yes. Come, let's make noodles.]

Riya- Manik noodles tabhi banegi jab tum mujhe bataoge ki tumne abhi kya kaha.

[Riya- Manik noodles will be made only when you tell me what you just said.]

Manik- Jab maine kuch kaha hi nahi to kya batau ab?

[Manik- What should I tell now when I have not said anything?]

Riya- Okay. Fine. Tum aa ke apni noodles bana lo par Mr Manik Malhotra...

[Riya- Okay. Fine. You make the noodles but Mr Manik Malhotra...]

(She goes close to him and looks into his eyes while he, too, looks at her, still biting his lips, trying to act serious.)

Riya- Main tum se baat nahi karne wali hu.

[Riya- I am not talking to you.]

Manik- Riya...

Riya- Jo marzi kar lo Manik. I am not talking to you.

[Riya- Do whatever you want, Manik. I am not talking to you.]

(Saying this, she goes towards the gas stove and continues making the noodles while Manik signs the workers to leave, leaving them alone in the kitchen. He next goes to her and stands beside her.)

Manik- Kya yaar tum itni si baat pe gussa ho rahi ho.

[Manik- Why are you angry about such a small thing?]

(But she just ignores him and continues doing her work. He tries to hold her hand, but she lightly jerks his hand away, and he keeps trying again and again.)

Riya- Maine kaha naa baat nahi karni Manik. Aur jab tak tum mujhe bata nahi dete tumne tab kya bola main baat nahi karungi tum se.

[Riya- I said I don't want to talk to you, Manik. And I won't talk to you until you tell me what you said.]

Manik- What! Ye kaisi zidd hai?

[Manik- What! What kind of stubbornness is this?]

Riya- Zidd hai to hai Manik. Tumhe baat karni hai to batao kya kaha tha tab.

[Riya- It is what it is, Manik. If you want to talk, then tell me what you said.]

Manik- Okay, fine. Mera matlab tha ki tum ne kaha naa ki shaadi se pehle main intelligent tha aur baad mein ajeeb ho gaya hoon, to maine kaha ki tum se shaadi huyi hai naa to ajeeb ho gaya hoon. Bas yahi bol raha tha main haan bas yahi...

[Manik- Okay, fine. I meant that you said that I was intelligent before marriage, and after that, I became strange, so I said that I am married to you, which is why I have become strange. That's all I said and...]

(She looks at him with no expression, and he looks at her with a confused face.)

Riya- Tumhe sach mein aisa lagta hai?

[Riya- Do you really think so?]

Manik- No. Abhi upar to itna kuch bola hai maine tumhe. Vo yaad nahi hai. Bas ye suna aur isko pakad liya.

[Manik- No. I said so many things upstairs. You don't remember them. You just heard this and held it.]

Riya- Okay, okay, fine.

Manik- So, back to normal?

Riya (smiling)- Yes.

Manik- Good. So let's continue making our noodles. Come on.

(They prepare noodles together and then take the bowl to the dining area to eat. They both eat the first bite together and speak out together too.)

Manik and Riya (together)- Yummy!

(They look at each other and grin like kids with mouths full of noodles.)

Riya (while eating)- Bohot achi bani hai naa.

[Riya (while eating)- They are delicious, right?]

Manik (while eating)- Exactly. Our first cooked dish together.

(They smile, look at each other, and then continue eating.)

Riya- This was so good. Amazing.

Manik- I know, right. And mushrooms se aur tasty ho gayi.

[Manik- I know, right. And it became more flavorful with mushrooms.]

Riya- Next time aur veggies bhi try karenge.

[Riya- We will try more veggies next time.]

Manik- Of course. Par abhi ghar chalte hain. Jaane mein bhi time lag jayega.

[Manik- Of course. But let's go home now. It will also take us time to reach.]

Riya- Hmm, let's go.

(They both pick up their plates to keep them in the sink when Riya's hand touches the glass on the table, and it falls down on the floor, breaking into pieces.)

Manik (concerned)- Hey, careful. Lagi to nahi naa Riya?

[Manik (concerned)- Hey, careful. You aren't hurt, right Riya?]

(Manik holds her hand and pulls her to the other side. Meanwhile, Riya is staring at the broken glass, voices echoing back in her head. Tears roll down her eyes as she keeps looking at the broken pieces. She fists her hand tightly as they shake in fear, her nails piercing her skin.)

Manik (to the butler)- Kaka ye saaf karva do please, kisi ke lag naa jaye.

[Manik (to the butler)- Uncle, please get this cleaned, so it doesn't hurt anyone.]

Riya (whispers, in tears)- I am sorry.

(Manik turns back to Riya and is shocked to find her in tears.)

Manik (cupping her face)- It's okay. Koyi baat nahi. Why these tears? Stop crying, Riya.

[Manik (cupping her face)- It's okay. No problem. Why these tears? Stop crying, Riya.]

(He wipes her tears, but she gets back, breathing heavily, badly in tears.)

Manik- Riya...

Riya (cryingly)- Don't punish me, please. I am sorry.

(He looks on sadly at her as he understands from where all this is coming.)

Manik- I won't punish you, Bacha. I know you are not at fault.

[Manik- I won't punish you, Baby. I know you are not at fault.]

Riya- I am sorry Manik, vo pata nahi kaise haath lag gaya aur vo... Vahan...

[Riya- I am sorry Manik, I don't know how and... There...]

Manik- Shhhh. It's okay. It's okay.

(He goes to her and hugs her tightly, to which she hugs him back in fear and fists his shirt tightly.)

Riya (cryingly)- Maine jaan bujh ke nahi kiya Manik. Please, I am sorry.

[Riya (cryingly)- I didn't do it on purpose, Manik. Please, I am sorry.]

Manik (rubbing her back)- It's okay, Baby. Aur main kabhi gussa nahi karunga. Chahe aisi 1000 cheezen tutt jaye. Bas aap jab tak theek ho mujhe iss sab se koyi farak nahi padta. It's okay.

[Manik (rubbing her back)- It's okay, Baby. And I will never get angry. Even if 1000 such things break. As long as you are fine, I don't care about all this. It's okay.]

(She hides her face in his chest, and he consoles her by whispering sweet words in her ears to bring her back to reality.)

Manik (caressing her hair)- It's okay. Calm down.

(She looks up at him, still in the hug, and he kisses her head.)

Riya- It's okay?
