Merlin rushed to Arthur to talk him out of it now that they knew what the two guest actually were, (Y/n) and Gaius stayed to talk to Guinevere about what she had heard.
"Why would Arthur marry Sophie?" Gaius asked her.
(Y/n) shrugged her shoulders, "maybe it's cause she's a blonde" she commented nonchalant.
The browned haired girl shook her head slightly, "he said something about love at first sight, there's something wrong with that girl but I don't know what" Guinevere told them.
The two shared a look when she said that, causing the girl to look at them worried.
"There's something the two of you are not telling me, who are those two?" She asked them.
A hum came from the (h/c) haired girl as she shifted on her foot, "do you want the truth?" Gaius gave her a look when she asked that.
Guinevere nodded her head.
"I discovered they're not really royalty and trying to be one by marrying Arthur, I overheard Sophie talking about forcing him to marry her by putting a spell on him" she lied straight through her teeth as she crossed her arms, trying to give Guinevere a serious look to make it look like she's speaking the truth.
A gasped escaped her mouth, "what! They have to be stopped!"
Gaius looked at his apprentice with somewhat of an impressed as the lie was a solid one.
(Y/n) nodded her head, "that's why I know exactly where they plan to continue with the spell, the girl isn't really known for keeping quiet" she said with a wink as she uncrossed her arms.
"Where are they?" Guinevere asked her.
She shook her head, "don't worry Gwen, I'll make sure your beloved prince is back safe and sound" she gave the girl a pat on the shoulder before heading.
'I'm so cool!!' (Y/n) thought as she couldn't hold back a smile as she rushed to the forest to the lake where they had spied on Aulfric at.
Horses were heard leaving the court yard while they were talking, meaning that Arthur along with Sophie and Aulfric had already left. Merlin should be knocked out by now so that leaves (Y/n) to follow them herself.
'I don't think I thought this through' she thought as she physically ran to the lake, trying to avoid the route to not be seen. Her breathing was starting to become erratic as she wasn't used to running for this long, 'I can't interfere with the plot line, but is the original plot line still a thing? This is all happening too fast, even for it being real now' she continued to think as she saw the reflection of the water in the distance.
Slowing her pace down, she tried to keep her breathing down as she hid behind some bushes. It being better then standing behind a tree as her legs were burning from the run over. Quietly as she can, (Y/n) slowly moved her fingers through the leaves as she planned to make a hole to leak through.
"Don't you mean the both of us?" Sophia's voice was heard from the other side.
"No, the elders are only allowing you to return, I will remain banished and live a mortal life" Aulfric was heard replying to her.
'Stupid leaves! Get out of the damn way!' The (h/c) haired girl thought as she was struggling with getting a view through the foliage.
She gritted her teeth as she tried to use both of her hands this time, see if that would make any sort of a difference. Her (e/c) eyes widen as she saw a faint (f/c) glow around the leaves, them being moved to the side to shape into a space for her to see.
She looked at the leaves with widen eyes, 'what the? There's no spell that can be used like this far as I know' she thought in disbelief as she had forgotten about the conversation happening in front of her.
"Let us begin" Aulfric's voice brought her out of her surprise state, she tuned back into see Sophia and Arthur already in the water.
"Dammit" (Y/n) muttered as she held herself back from jumping in, not liking the fact she'll have to watch Arthur be drowned by the girl.
Rustling grabbed her attention from the scene, she turned to see Merlin making his way over to them. She looked back to see Sophia had already suspended Arthur under the water, meaning they were about to be killed by the raven haired lad.
Merlin lifted his hand up as his eyes glowed golden, "Ongebringan", Sophia's staff that was laying on the bank rattled before flying into his hands.
"No!" Aulfric shouted, almost in a desperate way as all he wants is his daughter to live the life he could never return too.
He pointed the staff at the old men, "Swelt goldbeorth!" He shouted another spell, blue lightening erupted from the staff and hit Aulfric.
Aulfric was forced from the ground as his body was pushed, a scream fell from his lips as his life faded from him along with the body fading into blue sparkles.
Merlin quickly moved the staff over at Sophia, who shouted for her father as tears already began to swell in her eyes, "Og kelis!" He casted his final spell.
The same colored lightening came out of the staff as it hits the girl, causing her to fly away from where Arthur was as her life and body fades into blue sparkles as well.
Releasing the breath he was holding, Merlin dropped the staff and rushed into the water. Panic slowly showing in his face as he start to search the water for the blond prince.
(Y/n) stood up from the bush as she rushed to the bank, watching Merlin push against the water before diving under.
"Come on Merlin" she couldn't help but say as she tried looking for where he was under the murky water.
A painful minute must have passed until the water was breached, Merlin gasped for air as he held Arthur in his arms.
"Over here!" She shouted for him as she motioned for him to swim over, herself getting into the water to help lift the armored prince.
The two dragged Arthur back onto the bank before falling to the ground themselves.
"Good job Merlin" (Y/n) praised him as she looked at the lad, him trying to get his breathing back to normal.
He looked at her before a smile appeared on his face, "how'd you know to be here?"
She shrugged, "you can't be the only one looking after him" she said as she gave a smile of her own.
Merlin looked at her confused before shaking his head, a chuckle leaving his mouth.
The two managed to dragged Arthur back to the castle through the back entrance of course, how are they gonna explain when the prince was knocked out? Arthur was placed on a cot back in the physician quarters and the three waited for him to wake up. It took some time, but he managed to wake up when the sun was about to set.
A groan caught everyone's attention, they shifted to see Arthur had sat up with a hand on his head.
"Why is my head hurting?" Arthur asked as he shifted around, his feet now touching the ground.
He is moved to the table as a cup of water was placed in front of him, (Y/n) sat besides him as Merlin and Gaius were in front of him.
"How are you feeling?" Gaius asked him.
"Like a tree hit me in the head, what happened? I can't remember anything" Arthur replied.
(Y/n) pointed at Merlin, "Merlin knocked you out since you tried to elope with Sophia, I helped him bring you back to Camelot" she explained as she lowered her hand to the table.
The blond lad looked at Merlin with a confused expression, "Merlin? Knocked me out?"
He nodded, "I'm stronger then you think" he said as Gaius also nodded.
He turned to look at (Y/n), "he knocked me out?" He asked her the same question.
She couldn't help but smile a bit, "couldn't believe it when I saw him do it"
Arthur held his mouth opened as he was gob smack on what he was being told. He then closed his mouth before saying, "we never speak of this, you hear me" he told the three.
The three of them nodded as (Y/n) couldn't help but laugh slightly, earning her an elbow shove from the prince.
"Ow!" She said before glaring at him as she rubbed her arm.
"And Merlin"
"Yes?"
(Y/n) laughed as she watched Merlin have vegetables be thrown at him as he stood at the stocks. The raven haired lad groaned as a tomato hit him in the face, annoyance was being seen on his face as this was his third time behind in the wooden object.
