You had started working at castle Dimitrescu almost six months ago and in that time, you had basically become the baker of the castle. The matriarch and her daughters didn't trust anyone else to bake sweets for them - they all had the same response when you asked why; the others weren't competent enough to bake their sweets properly. Well, almost all of them gave that answer. Lady Daniela's answer would always change whenever you asked her.
Sometimes she'd give the same answer as the rest of the family, other times she'd say that it was because you let her help bake from time to time, and very rarely she'd say that it was just because she had a sweet tooth and you always made the sweets the way she liked them. When you'd ask her sisters about her answers, they'd simply shrug and say they weren't sure why she gave different answers.
It was after a few weeks of her helping you bake every other day that you began to develop a crush on the red haired Dimitrescu. Sadly, she had been spending less and less time with you. It was around the same time that a few of the maids began speculating that the lady had a crush on someone that worked in the kitchen. While it did give you some hope - you also knew that there were more attractive servants that worked in the kitchen.
You were currently making your way through the halls with a tray of cupcakes, coming to a stop when you heard the voices of your ladies. It was a well-known fact that you shouldn't listen in to the conversations of the ladies but, when you heard that they were talking about whoever lady Daniela had a crush on, you couldn't help but stop and listen in. You were, after all, one of the main servants that worked in the kitchen and you desperately wanted to know if you were her crush.
That didn't seem possible today because the moment you came to a stop, another maid came rushing through the halls - probably to get to her next chore - and ended up running into you. The tray flew from your hands before you collided with the ground, the maid on top of you pushed herself up slightly to look down at who she had collided with, repeatedly apologizing to you. Before she could get off of you, a door opened and three pairs of glowing, golden eyes stared at the two of you.
"H-hello m-my ladies." You eked out, watching the three slowly stalk towards you both. "It looks like your snacks will be late today."
"What's going on here?" Bela asked, her gold eyes filling with the same madness as when she'd hunt maids.
"I-I ran into them." The maid said, immediately getting off of you and bowing to the ladies. "I was running late to my n-next chore so I was-."
Cassandra wrapped a hand around the maid's throat, effectively shutting her up as Daniela helped you stand. You watched Bela lean closer to the maid and whisper something in her ear before the color drained from her, her eyes widening in fear. Before you could ask Daniela what her oldest sister had said, the red head guided you through the hall and back to the kitchen.
You watched her nervously before she told you to start baking, making you flinch slightly. It wasn't often that the ladies could manage to scare you but, whenever a maid would cause commotion outside of a room that they're all in and they'd slowly open the door to peak out, only letting their glowing eyes show from the darkness, you couldn't help the fear that coursed through you. Daniela's eyes were on you the entire time and the only time you calmed down was when she removed one of her gloves and gathered some icing on her finger before cleaning it off of her finger.
She noticed you didn't react and used another finger to gather more icing, wiping it on your cheek. You snapped your head towards her and raised an eyebrow at her innocent smile. Before you could open your mouth to ask her why she did that, she gripped your jaw in her hand and pulled your face closer to hers, causing you to suck in a sharp breath. Her eyes scanned your face before landing on the icing on your cheek, her tongue darting out to wet her lips.
"You got something right," She whispered before licking up some of the icing. "There."
"I-I didn't even notice." You breathed out, shuddering at her giggle.
"Well, let me get the rest of it off of your cheek."
"O-okay, m-my lady."
You stood as still as possible while she licked the rest of the icing off of your cheek. She pressed a gentle kiss to your cheek once everything was licked off, causing your heart to race and heat to creep up your neck and face. You glanced at the oven before looking back at her, gasping quietly when she wiped icing on your lips.
"Would you look at that." Daniela sighed, licking some icing from the corner of your mouth. "There's more."
"I-I... C-clumsy m-me."
"I suppose it's good that I have a sweet tooth."
Your brain stopped working when she licked some of the icing off of your lips, your knees buckling when she hummed and decided to press her lips to yours. Daniela wrapped an arm around your waist as soon as you returned the kiss, the butterflies in your stomach flapping wildly until she pulled away from the kiss. You watched her lick the rest of the icing from your lips before getting off of her own, leaving you breathless as she carefully rested you against the kitchen counter.
"Now you don't have to spy to figure out who I have a crush on." Daniela giggled, making your eyes widen.
"Y-you--."
"You'd never let someone run into you and risk our snacks being late. We bribed the maid to do that."
"Bribed her with what?" You inquired, wrapping your arms around Daniela's neck.
"A week without us hunting her." Daniela grumbled and rolled her eyes. "Now, give me another kiss. You know I have a sweet tooth."
You rolled your eyes and pulled her in for another kiss, the both of you fighting back smiles in the process. She had a crush on you - that's why she wanted to be around you so often. The thought alone made your heart skip a beat. Before the kiss could go too far, you heard two people clear their throats and Daniela jumped away from you, a low buzzing coming from her that you could only assume meant that she was flustered.
"We hate to interrupt you two lovebirds." Bela started, a smirk on her face.
"But don't forget about the cupcakes you were making, [Y/N]." Cassandra finished, the both of them giggling afterwards.
"Fuck!" You exclaimed, rushing to get the cupcakes out of the oven.
