"athena, look at what i got you." the blonde haired man bent down on one knee and dangled an old necklace in front of the young girls face.
"what is it?" her fragile voice asked the father figure.
"it was your mothers. i wanted to give it to you." he smiled and placed on the palm of her hand as she examined it.
"can you put it on me?" she asked him with her big brown eyes.
"of course sweetie." he pushed her hair out of the way and placed the cold silver on her neck. "i love it, thank you dad." she pulled him into a warm embrace.
