(Manik and Cabir reach the open area where there are fewer people and sit on a bench to talk.)

(Manik takes a sigh and covers his face with his hands.)
Manik- Aur isiliye tujhe nahi bataya tha maine ye sab. Agar tujhe sab pata chalta to tu gussa karta. Jaise ab kar raha hai. Aur vo gussa jaake un logon pe nikaalta. Aur main nahi chahta tha ki vo tujhe bhi hurt kare. Yaa Mukti ko hurt kare.
[Manik- And that's why I didn't tell you all this. If you had known everything, you would have been angry. Just like you are right now. And then you would have taken out that anger on them. And I didn't want them to hurt you in any way. Or even hurt Mukti too.]

(Manik looks at Cabir, who is fuming in anger.)

Manik- Abhi sahi time nahi hai Cabir. Main khud ready nahi hoon kisi se kuch bhi share karne ke liye abhi.

(Manik moves his head in a no, and Cabir looks away in anger.)
Cabir- Kyu nahi bataya Bhai? At least unse to baat kar sakte ho naa aap. Vo to sab se zyaada samajh paa rahi hain aap ko.

Manik- Itna easy nahi hai Cabir. Mujh mein itni himmat nahi hai abhi. Main nahi jaa sakta unn sab cheezon mein vapis. Zaraa sa kuch yaad aa jaata hai to ghutan hoti hai mujhe. I need some time. And Riya needs some time too. Main usse aise apni life ki saari problems nahi de sakta yaar. Jo bhi hoga vo mutual understanding se hoga. Jab hum dono apna past share karne ke liye ready honge tab! (Manik looks at Cabir for a moment and then nods his head in a yes, smiling a little.)

Cabir- Aap ke gestures mein aur aap ke behavior mein dikhta hai. Ki vo aap ke liye kitni special hain.
[Cabir- It shows in your gestures and in your behavior. How special she is to you.]
Manik- Of course. The most special one for me.
Cabir- But main ab ghar pe normally behave nahi kar sakta. Bhai bohot ho gaya ab. Vo log humari lives ke saath aise khel nahi sakte.
[Cabir- But I cannot behave normally at home. It's enough now, bro. They cannot play with our lives like this.]
Manik- Okay, fine. But for now, let's just focus on this event. It's a special day for Mukti, so let's not spoil it for her.
Cabir- Yes. Let's go inside then.
(They go inside the college and reach backstage to see Riya wearing her gown and Mukti doing her makeup while Riya has her eyes closed. Manik looks at Riya, and a smile comes on his face instantly.)
Mukti- It's just some more time, and the show will begin. I am so excited.
Cabir- Excited to pata hai main bhi bohot hoon. Teri designed dress dekhne ke liye stage pe and when Bhabhi is going to walk on the ramp for you. This is going to be amazing.
[Cabir- I am super excited too. To see your dress on the stage and when sister-in-law is going to walk on the ramp for you. This is going to be amazing.]
Riya- Relax, guys. People are going to admire Mukti's work. And instead, I am worried if I will be able to handle everything or not.
Manik- Will you please stop worrying? Everything is going to be okay. So chill.
(Manik and Riya then look at each other and smile warmly while Cabir signals Mukti to come with him. Cabir and Mukti then leave from there, and Riya releases a sigh. Manik then stands behind her, and they talk to each other by looking through the mirror.)
Manik- Why so worried, hmm? It's going to be okay.
Riya- I don't know Manik. I was confident about this the whole time. But after seeing everything here... I don't want to let down Mukti. She trusted me so much with this, and I agreed just for her happiness. And I don't want to spoil anything.
Manik- You will spoil nothing. Trust me on that. Just calm yourself down. Everything is going to be okay. And you have me here. Nothing will go wrong.
Riya (smiling)- I know.
(She turns to him, and he smiles, looking at her. He then cups her face and kisses her forehead gently.)
Manik (softly)- All the best. Do well.
Riya- Thank you, Manik.
Manik- So you get ready now. I will send Mukti inside.
Riya- Okay.
(Manik goes from there, and Riya takes a deep breath, looking at herself in the mirror.)
Riya- You can do this, Riya. Yes.
(On the other side, Palak, with her friends, meets her boyfriend - Ritvik Sinha, near the back gate and tells him to spoil Riya's performance.)
Ritvik- Will you please tell me ki main kaise roku Riya Malhotra ko perform karne se? Room mein lock kar du usse?
[Ritvik- Will you please tell me how I stop Riya Malhotra from performing? Should I lock her in the room?]
Friend 01- Guys, you are not doing the right thing. It was a different thing when you were spoiling dresses. But you cannot harm somebody.
Friend 02- She is right, guys. And you know right that Mukti is Manik Malhotra's sister. And we all know that he has so much power. If somebody comes to know about all this, then...
Palak- Will you all calm down? What are you saying? It's not even been a month since their marriage. Itna bhi koyi pyaar vyaar nahi hoga unn dono mein ki vo uske liye itna kuch kare. Sab log iss baat ko accident samajh ke bhool jayenge bas. So relax. And just enjoy the drama.

(Ritvik smiles evilly at Palak, and she smirks at him.)
Palak- What's the plan?
Ritvik- The plan is that when Riya Malhotra comes to the stage on her turn, then...
(He explains everything to the girls, and Palak smiles, listening to it, whereas the other girls are shivering in fear.)
Girl 01- You guys are crazy. I am not a part of this plan.
Girl 02- Seriously, guys. Unn ko itni chot aa sakti hai aise karne pe. Please chod do ye sab plan yaar.
[Girl 02- Seriously, guys. She will be severely hurt by all this. Please drop the plan, guys.]
Palak (yelling)- Tum logon ko jaana hai to jao. Kuch nahi kar sakte tum log. Par hume jo karna hai hum kar ke hi rahenge. Now leave!
[Palak (yelling)- You guys can leave if you want to. You are good for nothing. But we will be doing this no matter what. Now leave!]
(Palak's friends go from there and think of informing Riya about the same, but it's too late as the show has already begun, and the ramp walk too is about to start.)
Girl 02- Ab hum kuch nahi kar sakte. Bas Bhagwaan hi bacha le Riya Mam ko.
[Girl 02- We can do nothing now. Only God can save Riya mam now.]
Girl 01- But we can at least inform Manik sir about all this, right? Maybe he can stop the show and prevent all this.
Girl 02- You are right. Let's find him quickly.
(On the stage, the host welcomes the audience and the chief guest and starts the show with the introduction speech. Manik and Cabir settle in the audience, all excited to witness the show. Manik then thinks something and messages Riya.
"I know you can do this. Just don't get nervous and trust yourself. Nothing will go wrong. Just go for it. All the best."
(As Mukti was holding Riya's phone, she smiled, seeing Manik's message, and then showed it to Riya, whose cheeks got red because of her blushing.)
Mukti- Awww. You guys are so cute. And so much in love.
(Riya looks shocked at Mukti, takes the phone from her, and replies to Manik.)
"Thank you so much, Manik, but I am more concerned about Mukti. I just don't want to lose. I want to win this for Mukti."
(The host then announces the start of the ramp walk round, and Riya quickly gives her phone to Mukti. The lights on the stage point towards the center as the models walk on the ramp, showing their designer dresses, and the audience claps for them. Amidst the ramp walk round, Ritvik quickly goes and gets seated in the first row on the left side of the ramp walk stage and acts as clapping for the other models. The host keeps announcing the names of the models and the designers, and the show goes on.)
Host- The next we have is Riya Malhotra in Mukti Malhotra's design.
(Manik and Cabir clap for Riya, and she enters the stage with utmost grace, where the audience cheers for her, and the people hoot after seeing her looking stunning in such a beautiful dress.)
(Riya twirls to show her dress, and Mukti is super excited backstage as people clap for her. Cabir, too, is super happy seeing her performing so well, and Manik has a big smile on his face and is enchanted seeing Riya. He then quickly captures her images as she comes towards the end of the stage, smiling brightly.)

(Meanwhile, Ritvik, sitting in the first row, smirks evilly, looking at Riya.)
Ritvik- Bas thodi der aur Riya Malhotra. Ye saari khushi bas jaane hi wali hai tumhare chehre se. Aaj ke baad kabhi stage pe aane ke baare mein sochogi bhi nahi tum. Just wait and watch main kya karta hoon.
[Ritvik- Just a bit more time, Riya Malhotra. All this happiness is about to fade away from your face. After today you will never even think of coming on stage. Just wait and watch what I am going to do today.]
(He then gets up from his seat and stands behind the showpiece on the side of the ramp, and now one can see him hiding there. Furthermore, as Riya turns around to return to the stage, he smiles evilly, looking at her.)
(As Riya reaches near the showpiece, he grabs her leg with full force and pulls her down, causing her to lose her balance as she is wearing high heels. Everything happens so suddenly that no one can stop him. As Ritvik pulls Riya down by her leg, she collides with the showpiece after losing her balance and falls down from the stage on the floor, bruising her foot and head as she falls over the shattered glass pieces of the showpiece.)
(Ritvik quickly runs from there as the audience stands up, shocked. Cabir and Mukti are dumbstruck, too, whereas Manik is still looking at the area where Riya just fell. The scene of Riya falling again comes in front of his eyes, which breaks his trance and brings him back to reality.)
Manik- Shit.
(He then runs to Riya and is shocked to find her foot bleeding excessively with the glass pieces stuck in her wound, and she has a bleeding cut on her forehead too. What shocks Manik more is that she has lost consciousness, and, as her wounds are bleeding, he gets scared that her life is in danger. Without thinking of the scattered glass pieces, he bends down on his knees on the floor and holds her body up in his arms, his face showing how panicked he is right now.)
Manik (patting her cheek)- Riya. Open your eyes. Wake up. Look at me, Riya. Wake up, damn it!
(He checks her wounds twice, which scares him more, but as he is a pro at covering up his emotions, he keeps trying to wake her up and rubs her hands too to make her gain consciousness. Cabir then rushes to him and clears the glass pieces from around both of them.)
Manik (angrily shouting)- Call the doctor, damn it. What kind of arrangement is this?
Teacher 01 (terrified)- Sir... sir, we do not... we do not have a doctor here.
Manik- Then keep these excuses to yourself. (shaking Riya) Riya, wake up, please. Please do not do this to me. Please. Wake up.
Cabir- Bhai main gaadi nikalta hoon. Aap bhabhi ko lekar aao jaldi. We need to rush to the hospital.
[Cabir- Bro, I will drive the car. Bring her to the soon. We need to rush to the hospital.]
Manik- Yes... yes. The hospital. Cabir. Quick.
(Cabir rushes to get the car, and Manik carries Riya in his arms and rushes outside the hall. As Manik rushes outside with an unconscious Riya in his arms, the people there look at each other, all shocked and trying to process the things they witnessed a few moments back. No doubt Riya's fall was shocking too, but Manik's behaviour shocks them more, as no one has ever seen The Manik Malhotra like this- panicked. Moreover, this is because he has never shown his true side to anyone and has always worn the mask of being arrogant and cold to everyone.)
Lady 01- Ye kya tha? Manik Malhotra ko maine aise kabhi nahi dekha. Itna pareshaan to vo aaj tak kisi ke liye nahi huye.
[Lady 01- What was this? I have never seen Manik Malhotra like this. He has never been this upset for anyone to date.]
Guy 01- Pareshaan to honge hi vo. Unki wife hai Riya. Unke liye bohot special hogi naa vo.
[Guy 01- He will be upset. Riya is his wife. She would be very special to him, won't she?]
Lady 02- Manik Malhotra ki ye side bhi hai. Unbelievable. Shayad vo apni wife se bohot attached hain. Shayad kaafi PYAAR karte hain vo apni wife se.
[Lady 02- Manik Malhotra has this side too. Unbelievable. Maybe he is very attached to his wife. Perhaps he loves his wife a lot.]
Lady 03- Bas unhe zyaada naa lagi ho aur vo jaldi theek ho jaye. Varna hume Manik ke gusse ka to pata hi hai.

(On the other side, Cabir is driving the car to the hospital, and Manik sits in the back seat with Riya's head in his lap. He puts pressure on the wound on her head with his handkerchief to stop the bleeding. They are heading to Mumbai Health Care Hospital, where Riya works, as it is the closest to the college.)
Manik (panicked)- Cabir jaldi yaar!
[Manik (panicked)- Cabir, be quick, man!]
Cabir (concerned)- Haan Bhai. Bas pohonch gaye.
[Cabir (concerned)- Yes, bro. We are about to reach the hospital.]
(Cabir stops the car outside the hospital, and Manik gets out of the vehicle with Riya in his arms. He then rushes inside the hospital without waiting for the ward boy to bring the stretcher.)
(Manik comes inside and shouts to call the doctor.)
Manik- Doctor! Doctor!
(The doctor comes there and is shocked to see Riya unconscious.)
Doctor- Oh my God! Dr Riya. What happened to her?
Manik (angrily)- Will you arrange the things for her? She needs treatment.
Doctor (all scared)- Yes. Aap unhe yahan stretcher pe leta dijiye.
[Doctor (all scared)- Yes. You lay her here on the stretcher.]
(The ward boy brings the stretcher, and Manik makes Riya lay down on it. He then holds her hand and looks at her teary-eyed.)
Manik (slowly)- Kuch nahi hoga tumhe, hmm. I am here. You will be fine. Yes. Kuch nahi hoga.
[Manik (slowly)- Nothing will happen to you, hmm. I am here. You will be fine. Yes. Nothing will happen.]
(He then leaves her hand, and the doctor takes her inside the OT while Manik looks at the closed door of the OT, panicked, frustrated, and scared.)
