~ALLIE POV~

"Allie! Allie! Wake up!"

Charlie was shaking me awake and I groaned and shoved him away.

"Allie Santa's on the roof!"

"Oh really?" I asked sarcastically.

"Yeah, I heard clatter!"

"Well hopefully he doesn't fall off!" I exclaimed before rolling back over, pulling the blanket back over my head.

I heard a clatter and jumped up.

"Where's dad?"

"He's outside."

"What?" I exclaimed. "That was probably him!"

I quickly ran outside not bothering to grab my coat. I had fallen asleep in my clothes from last night. I had slipped my shoes on before running out.

"You got him!"

"Kids stay where you are!"

Neither Charlie and I listened as we quickly ran to the person laying in the snow.

"Its Santa!" Charlie exclaimed. "You killed him!"

"Did not!" Dad said back. "He's not even Santa."

"Well he was." Charlie said.

"He's got some ID on him, I bet." Dad said. "Fella if you can hear me, I'm just looking for your identification."

"He's dead dad." I told him. "He can't hear you."

Dad gave me a glare. I looked over to the side and noticed another Santa hat. I plucked it up and pulled it on my head.

I felt a chill run threw me. I ignored it as Dad red the card.

"Whoa!"

I snapped out of my thoughts as Charlie started talking.

"Dad! He disappeared!"

"He's naked somewhere." Dad said.

I cringed thinking about that.

"You gonna put on the suit like the card said dad?" Charlie asked.

"No."

"Come on dad! I wanna go too!"

"Go where Charlie? Up on the roof so you can fall as well?"

"Stop it. We're not going anywhere."

"You never do what I wanna do!" Charlie told him.

"That's because everything hat you want to do is stupid!" I retorted.

"Is not!"

"Is too!"

"Is not!"

"Is too!"

"IS NOT!"

"IS TOO!"

"Charlie! Allie! Enough!"

I huffed and turned my back on Charlie.

"Its a ladder!"

I turned around and bumped right into the ladder. Charlie let out a laugh as I glared at him.

"Where the hell did this come from?" I asked.

"Language!"

"Look here! 'The Rose Suchak Ladder Company'."

"What?"

"'Out of the roof there's a Rose Suchak ladder'."

"Just like the poem." I added.

"Just like the poem?"

"Charlie!" I shouted. "Dad! Tell Charlie not to climb the stupid ladder!"

"Charlie come down from there! Charlie get down!"

"Dad! Allie! You got to see this!"

"Don't touch anything!"

"I'm just gonna call the police. I'll carry this stuff up there. Let them deal with it, okay?"

I huffed and began climbing the ladder. I took a shaky breath in. Was the ladder this tall when Charlie climbed it? I hated heights. Finally I reached the top and looked down and nearly burst out crying.

I never realized how tall the house was. I looked over and eyes widened as Charlie pet the reindeer.

"Charlie stay away from those things!"

"They're reindeer!"

"They look like they have lime disease." I retorted.

One of the Reindeer farted.

"Oof, easy Rudolph." Dad said making him grunt. "Excuse me, Comet."

Charlie walked over to the sleigh.

"Dad! Check out Santa's sleigh!"

"There is no such thing as Santa's sleigh." Dad told him.

"Sure there is. You said you believed in Santa, right?"

"I did? I do!"

"I don't." I mumbled.

Dad shot me a look. I tuned Charlie out as Dad walked onto the sleigh. I quickly followed, not really wanting to.

"I don't wanna go!" Charlie whined.

"Listen Charlie I'm not kidding. LETS GO!"

The reindeer took off, causing me to fall backwards into the back part of the sleigh. I quickly sat up and covered my eyes. I let loose a scream as I sank down.
