Once again, Jiwoo had skipped school to train with Kayden, and you... you were caught up in the middle. Kayden had pressured you to continue training since he thought you were slacking around. And so, you had also skipped school that day.
"Ah... It's so good to lie down like this." Jiwoo sighed as he closed his eyes momentarily, enjoying the small break he was giving himself.
"Ung!" You nodded as you took another bite of the sandwich you had bought earlier. Turns out, the only kind of food Jiwoo has in his home is cat food. Hence, to satisfy your hunger and also replenish some energy, you had went out to the convenience store for instant noodles and other not so healthy snacks for both you and Jiwoo.
"I told you, you have to work on your abilities... both of you." Kayden finished as he reminded.
"Fine, I'll get up." Jiwoo said. "But, before that...I have to feed the cats," he continued as he went iver to the big bag of cat food and poured them into the respective bowls. The boy watched the cats eat in content.
"You also need to feed yourself," Your phone read out loud. Your text to speech function was really useful.
You pushed another packet of the exact same sandwich you bought into his face while you continue munching on your own.
In the next second, the doorbell rang, continuously. Jiwoo went to check on the monitor, only to recognise the man standing outside his door. You had no idea who was at the door, thinking it was a teacher from your school coming to confront Jiwoo for skipping school.
'oh no. Are we going to get detention for this? Please let it not be a teacher.' you prayed.
"It's Inhyuk." Jiwoo exclaimed in surprise as you sigh in relief. However that relief was cut short as you questioned as to why that man was here again.
"Why is he here? Isn't he from the same group as the kid who picked a fight with the both of you?" Kayden seemed pissed.
You began to panic once more. 'Oh no, what if he's here to beat me up for slapping that Jisuk guy?'

"Jiwoo, Y/n, I'm very sorry. I didn't know that, that kid would cause you trouble." Inhyuk said as he bowed his head down, apologising on behalf of Jisuk.
'Thank goodness. I thought he was here to beat me up or something...'
"I heard he told you he was in our group. His name is Jisuk Yoo. He's the chairwoman's brother." Inhyuk began explaining how Jisuk had been training under the best.
"So he has a tendency to do as he wants. The chairwoman herself punished him not too long ago, but we had no idea he would cause trouble again," He continued as he sighed in disappointment.
In the end, Inhyuk assured that Jisuk would no longer be bothering the both of you ever again.
'Dang, and I was just about to make him my test dummy,'
Both you and Jiwoo looked down. Inhyuk realised that the both of you seemed uneasy. "So... we can't fight that kid ever again?" Jiwoo asked, taking Inhyuk aback.
"He asked me for a rematch... once my leg is healed." Jiwoo said as he looked down to his leg.
"And the fight between me and him was kind of... unfair on his side," The automated voice said. You looked down in guilt.
"Wait, so you mean... you want to try and fight him again? Both of you?" Inhyuk asked in surprise. Both you and Jiwoo nodded, though you were a little more hesitant.
"I understand how you feel, but I don't agree with the both of you. It's not because he's the chairwoman's brother but because he is strong," Inhyuk tried reasoning.
"That isn't the reason." Jiwoo said, confidence in his tone. "I want to test it out. How strong I really am..." Inhyuk was surprised at Jiwoo's reason.
"I understand. Y/n? Do you have another reason?" Inhyuk asked as the attention was now solely on you.
You pondered over what were the right words to say, before typing into your phone. "I want to see how much I improved. I want to test myself," The automated voice said.
"I see... If that is what the both of you want, I'll set up a chance for you to fight,"Both you and Jiwoo visibly brightened at what Inhyuk had said.
Inhyuk's attention was then on Kayden. "Jiwoo, that cat... May I rub his belly?" He said ever so seriously.
For a moment, it was only an awkward silence that filled the air. You wanted to laugh but kept it within you. Kayden hissed just as Inhyuk was about to pet him.
In the end, you couldn't contain your laughter causing Kayden to glare at you.

"Whatever you do, don't try to reposition your awakened abilities. Focus your ability on the muscles and bones being used. Then, your strength and speed will improve." Kayden exclaimed as both you and Jiwoo were in push-up position.
"It...It's not that easy..." Jiwoo whimpered as he was trembling. On the other hand, you were already used to doing it 100 times that you weren't even struggling anymore.
"If you want to become stronger, you have to keep at it! Even Y/n can do it. Look at her, she's going at twice the speed," Kayden scolded.
Just as you finished your last push-up, you looked over to Jiwoo to see how he was doing, only to see Kayden on top of Jiwoo. 'what in the world?'
"Mr. Kayden? You're too heavy!" Jiwoo exclaimed, claiming that he could not go up. "Stop acting liek a baby! I don't weigh that much?!" Kayden irked, offended at Jiwoo's statement.
By the morning, Jiwoo was stationed at the punching bag while you were on the floor, training your power, which was quite the challenge due to Kayden's occasion screaming session at Jiwoo.
You didn't really need anymore supervising as Kayden had said. He had saw your improvement. Your lanky arms had developed muscles, and overall your muscles were more defined and your body just seemed more fit and healthy altogether.
From the petite and fragile girl you once were, you were now able to fight and defend yourself physically. You had grown, both mentally and physically.
Not only you, Jiwoo too had grown. He was now able to strengthen his awakened ability even in his sleep.

For the next few days, Jiwoo stayed at home training super hard while you went back to school. You wrote notes and small reminders on sticky notes for Jiwoo and would come over after school to pass it to him. Sometimes, you would stay over to train together with him but other times, you went home to train. Your brother was rarely at home now due to his job, but whenever he was, the both of you would be eating dinner together as you discussed about both your days and how you were improving your abilities.
To say Hyun was proud was an understatement. He was beyond proud of your growth. He would be a terrible brother if he said he didn't notice how you weren't so lanky anymore. You were opening up to him as you felt comfortable with people.
He was proud. Happy even. His little sister was not so little anymore. His baby sister no longer needed his protection.

"Today is the day." Jiwoo said as he stepped out of his house. You were waiting outside promising to go together. Your tracksuit was similar to Jiwoo's, the only difference was that your tracksuit was made to cover the lover half of your face.
"Don't be nervous. It's not like you're fighting to death. Besides, Inhyuk is presiding over the event so nobody gets seriously hurt." Kayden assured as he walked to the front gate with Jiwoo.
Inhyuk was already waiting outside. He stepped out to greet the both you. "Wait, what about the cat?" Inhyuk asked, pointing to Kayden in Jiwoo's arms as he glared at Inhyuk.
"OH! I'm going to take him. I feel too uneasy to go without him. Can't I?" Aannd cue the puppy dog eyes.
'Here we go again...' You thought as you looked away, trying to not get yourself into whatever Jiwoo was trying to do.
"Nevermind that... can we go already?" Your phone's speaker was loud and clear, breaking the tension from earlier.
