“So all of us are just gonna sit here and do nothing?” Rosalie frowned, her legs crossed over each other and her arms folded up into a tight lock over her chest. Her face looked like it always did with the new addition of an agitated glare.
“So Charlie adopted a girl.” Bella sounded sour, a blank look on her face that hid her dangerous thoughts from everyone.
“A very cute girl.” Emmett added, “she looked so sweet and cuddly.” He grinned, though the glare from Rosalie had him shutting his lips tight and a sheepish smile replacing his previous grin.
“What else could we do?” Jasper shrugged, it wasn’t like Charlie was a problem to them anymore. He completely ignores their presence as if they are no longer there and that was fine by him, he would rather have that attitude than the man hounding them.
“Yeah.” Esme sadly nodded, they couldn’t do anything, they couldn’t speak to Aurora because Charlie would surely place a restraining order against them for even bothering her, and they couldn't get close to her because Charlie was always around her.
“A couple of Doctors and Nurses are heading towards the Swan residence to throw a little party for Aurora.” Carlisle smiled, despite the girl not liking them close to her, she was quite a joy to be around so he simply decided to hand his gift to a Nurse since Charlie would never allow him to enter his home.
“Are you not invited?” Bella almost scoffed, she knew for a fact that Carlisle was quite popular in the hospital. The day she first met him he was being stripped by other Nurses and even a few Doctors there, she too was interested in the man but shes the only one that truly knows why she was interested in the man.
“Your father would arrest me if I stepped foot on his property.” Carlisle signed, and Rosalie rolled her eyes.
“He would arrest every single one of us if we stepped a foot on his property.” She didn’t hate the man, in fact she was quite happy that he was this upset over Bella’s death, she wished she had someone that would’ve acted this way if she was harmed, but sadly her past wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine.
“Oh,” Bella just nodded, now she felt even more anger towards Charlie, first he replaced her and now he’s bringing pain and torment onto her new family? Did he ever love her? She loved the Cullens but her father never could love them. Always thought of them as a bad influence and she couldn’t see why. Did her parents really love her, Renee could only do so much but she’s having a baby now, which means Bella would be having a new sibling soon, a half sibling that would now have her mother’s full attention and love.
“She seems pretty normal to me.” Alice pouted, she wanted to be friends with the girl, she had an itching feeling to get to know the girl and it wouldn’t leave her alone. The feeling grows more intense every time she catches a whiff of Aurora.
“Alice, we can’t get involved with her.” Edward almost hissed at her, though the narrowing of Jasper’s eyes had him choking it back. He thought they should set up the girl's death, she was a danger to them, she seemed to be a problem to them and he didn’t want to find out what she was hiding.
“Besides we’re still dealing with the Volturi at the moment.” Edward had to hold back the agitated groan, they were gonna have to speak with the Volturi about Bella's change and he wasn’t ready for that. They had too much on their plate right now and the last thing he needed was to hear Caius laughing in their faces because a human was causing them so much stress.
“I know one thing we aren’t going to do.” Carlisle frowned, “We aren’t going to do anything to the girl.” The room gave mixed feelings, some feeling relief wash over them since they didn’t want to harm the girl in the first place, and another feeling of annoyance because that meant they were sitting ducks until the girl decided to do something first.
“Wouldn’t it just be easier to kill her?” Bella frowned, she wanted the girl gone, problem solved.
“No.” Alice scoffed, feeling annoyed and a little betrayed by Bella’s answer.
“We didn’t kill you when you caused problems did we?” Rosalie gave an disgusted grunt towards Bella, rolling her eyes with so much sass it had Jasper rolling his along with her.
“Yeah, Bella.” Emmett chuckled, he was enjoying the little argument though he also felt a little upset at Bella’s suggestion.
“But wouldn’t that be easier?” Edward agreed with Bella.
“It would be, but we don’t know just how dangerous she is.” Jasper frowned, he didn’t want to send his family to their death, just because they were impatient.
“Right, we don’t know what she’s capable of.” Carlisle nodded, “or if it’s her we need to be watching out for.” The reason why he was so strict about the harming rule was because Aurora might not be the person they need to worry about, the girl could be completely innocent and harming her would bring complete guilt onto him that he would rather avoid. They already took Bella away from Charlie, he was sure the man wouldn't have any willpower left if they took Aurora away from him also.
“We should just wait.” Esme looked ready to cry, she didn’t want to die, but she also didn’t want to hurt some child that probably wasn’t even an problem to them to begin with, “if she starts to pose a threat we should just get the Volturi to deal with it to save us some guilt.” She frowned, she didn’t like their methods but if it was to save her from guilt from harming a man twice then she would do it. Let Charlie’s despair be someone else's fault because she didn’t have the heart to do it herself.
“Sounds good to me.” Rosalie nodded, she agreed with Esme, she also couldn’t stand seeing Charlie become a shell of himself just because he believed that he failed as a father, in fact she wanted to move before the Volturi came so that they couldn’t even be around to hear the gossip that would soon follow after.
“Wait?” Bella frowned, “wait for her to attack first, thats kinda stupid.” She didn’t understand, maybe it was her own sadness of being forgotten and replaced that caused her to be so bitter, but she didn’t see the point in waiting for Aurora to make a move first, she wanted the girl gone so they could go back to living their life like how they were before. Problem free and all about her.
“Yes, wait.” Alice smiled in glee, she had time, before her vision shut down for Aurora and Charlie she found out that the girl would be attending school the upcoming school year. That was her chance at talking to her, getting to know her.
“Alice, you'll have to stay away from her.” Edward pointed out, he didn’t want anything to do with Aurora and was kinda upset to have to deal with her in school.
“And why should I do that?” She was almost feeling a little tired of Edward, ever since Bella had been changed she wasn’t allowed to do the things she usually would do because Bella didn’t like it.
“It’ll only cause problems.” Edward crossed his arms.
“You interacted with a human.” She crossed her arms back, when they first arrived at Forks they were told that they couldn’t interact with the humans in fear of being found out but Edward went and outed them to Bella while she was still human.
“That was a different scenario.” He almost scoffed, Alice’s thoughts just jumbled up and started screaming at him all at once.
“Different how?” Rosalie rolled her eyes again, that's all she’s been doing ever since they arrived in Forks, rolling her eyes and scoffing. She just wasn’t happy here and it was showing, the way her emotions jumped from zero to a hundred with just a few words or even actions.
“Bella was my mate.” Edward cuddled the girl, a smile on his face, he finally got what he wanted after so long, even if he wanted Bella to stay human for a little longer, he still got to have her.
“Blood singer.” Emmett had to correct him, those were totally different, but also pretty similar because the blood could cause a sense of attachment towards the two people involved.
“Emmett.” Edward hissed.
“Edward.” Rosalie hissed back.
“Rosalie!” Bella frowned, biting back a growl.
“Bella!” Carlisle snapped, sick of the arguing, “I said what I said, the girl would remain unharmed until further notice.” He could feel his nonexistent blood pressure rising, everyone was driving him up the wall lately.
“Children please coexist without killing each other.” He walked off, he had some charts to check and doing that would calm his head a little.
“Yeah, he said what he said, Edward and Bella.” Alice smugly grinned at the two people in the room that seemed to be against the idea of letting Aurora roam free.
“Alice.” Esme gave an disapproving look.
“Sorry.” She wasn’t, she simply said it to keep the peace and Edward knew this from the mocking words she thought up, knowing he would hear.
“That girl.” Esme could only sign, though she was glad everything was sorted out.
“Why didn’t he act like this when Bella was the problem?” Rosalie groaned, “we wouldn’t have the annoying little thing here if he did.” She fanned herself dramatically and Bella hissed, storming away with Edward following behind her in hopes of calming her down.
“That was stone cold, babe.” Emmett chuckled, though he too cuddled up to Rosalie on the couch.
