(Riya is moving towards their room with slow steps, and Manik's words are constantly ringing in her ears.)

(She then takes a deep breath and wipes her tears.)
Riya- You have to stay strong, Riya. Yes. For Manik...
(And there, the realization hits her, and she looks on, shocked and worried.)
Riya- Manik. Oh shit!
(She then rushes to their room and is shocked as she sees that the entire room is messed up and Manik is about to punch the wall in anger.)
Riya (shouts loudly)- Manik, stop.
(He stops listening to her voice but is still shaking in anger. His head is throbbing in pain, and his fever is increasing. She then goes to him and tries holding him, but he gets back, and she looks on, worried.)
Riya- Manik...
Manik- No.
Riya- Manik, please. Don't do this to yourself. You are already not well.
(He chuckles at her statement, and she looks on, concerned.)
Manik- Main bimaar hoon? Main theek nahi hoon? Fever tha naa mujhe.
[Manik- I am sick? I am not well. I had a fever, right?]
Riya (slowly)- Manik, please.
Manik (mocking himself)- Arey agar main marr bhi raha hoon naa, to bhi mere ghar par yahi tamasha hoga. Tab bhi yahan mere Mom Dad ro nahi rahe honge. Balki meri company ke shares apne naam karvane mein lage honge.
[Manik (mocking himself)- Even if I am dying, there will be the same spectacle in my house. Even then, my mom and dad would not be crying here. Instead, they would be busy getting the shares of my company on their names.]
(She looks on sadly at him as he turns away and cleans his eyes. Because she knows he is trying so hard to not fall weak but cannot stay strong anymore.)
Manik- Aur tumhe pata hai. Agar mujhe kuch ho bhi jaye naa, to bhi yahan kisi ko koyi farak nahi padta. Jaise aaj nahi pad raha tha. Tumhe pata hai Riya, office mein naa jab employees mujh se leave lene aate hain to kisi ko apni Mom Dad ko surprise karna hota hai, kisi ke ghar par kuch chal raha hota hai to kahin kuch. Aur tab mujhe pata chalta hai ki family ka matlab kya hota hai. Par meri family mein mujhe ghutan hoti hai sab ke saath. Saans nahi le paata hoon main jab unn logon ke saath ek kamre mein hota hoon.
[Manik- And you know, even if something happens to me, no one cares here. Like it happened today. (He feels dizzy and loses balance.)
Riya- Manik.
(She comes forward to hold him, but he gets back and shakes his head to let the dizziness go off.)
Riya- Manik please meri baat maan lo. Hum iss baare mein baad mein pakka baat karenge. But abhi rukk jao please. You need rest. Please Manik.

(She looks at him in tears, and he then thinks something, goes to the cupboard and takes out some files from the drawer. He then picks up his phone with shaking hands and starts dialling some number. Not able to see him like this anymore, she goes to him and takes the files and the phone from him and keeps them on the table.)
Manik- Riya kya kar rahi ho. Give me my phone back.
[Manik- What are you doing, Riya? Give me my phone back.]
Riya (slowly)- It's okay, Manik.
Manik- What is okay? What are you talking about?
(She looks at him in tears as he looks here and there and not in her eyes, and she knows that with one more push, he will vent out everything. And he needs it too. He needs to vent out all the emotions and feelings he has kept to himself, which are now destroying him from the inside.)
Riya- Manik.
Manik (looking away)- Hmm.
(And the next thing she does is hug him tightly and lock her hands on his back so that he doesn't push her away. She feels his heart thumping loudly in his chest and then rubs his back.)
Manik (teary-eyed)- What are you doing, Riya? Let me go.
Riya- I am not letting you go, Manik. And I am not leaving you at no cost. I know you are hurt. In fact, very hurt. But you don't have to keep it to yourself now, Manik. I am here for you, and I will support you. I will always stand by your side.
Manik (in a choked voice)- This is all a lie. When something happens...
Riya- Chahe kuch bhi ho jaye. Koyi bhi situation ho. I won't leave you. I promise. Main tumhe kabhi akela nahi chodungi Manik. Never ever. I promise to always be there for you. Tum akele nahi ho. I am here for you. Humesha.

(And that is it. Manik hugs her back tightly and cries like a baby in the hug while she consoles him where she is in tears too.)
Manik (cryingly)- Don't leave me alone, please. Don't give up on me. Please.
Riya (rubbing his back and caressing his hair)- I am not leaving you, Manik. I am here with you. Calm down. Shhhh.
(He keeps crying, hugging her with his face hidden in her neck. He keeps murmuring things, asking her not to go away and to not leave him, and she handles him with all the love she has for him.)
Manik- I can't take this anymore. Stop this, please. Stop.
(Saying this, he loses strength and sits down on his knees, still hugging her tightly, and she too sits down with him but doesn't break the hug.)
Manik (cryingly)- Thakk gaya hoon main apni khud ki family se ladte ladte. Aur nahi ho raha hai mujh se Riya. Rokk do ye sab please.
[Manik (cryingly)- I am tired of fighting with my family. And I can't take this anymore. Please stop all this.]
Riya (consoling him)- Yes, Manik. No one will disturb you. Relax.
(He cries for a few more minutes, and she consoles him till he is calm.)
Riya (softly)- Manik.
Manik- Hmm.
Riya- Please stop crying. You already have a fever.
Manik (slowly)- I am not crying.
(Saying this, he just hugs her more and takes a sigh of relief, and she too lets him be and hugs him back, still rubbing his back and caressing his hair. Then after a few minutes, he breaks the hug, and she wipes his tears, sighing as his fever has increased for sure, his eyes are dropping, and his body temperature is rising.)
Riya- Manik, get up now. You need to rest.
Manik (like a kid)- You won't leave me, right?
Riya (cupping his face)- Never, baby. I won't go anywhere. I promise. You get up now. Come.
(She then gets up, puts his arm around her neck, and helps him get up. Supporting him from the back, she takes him to the bed and makes him sit there. She brings his clothes to change from the closet and comes to him.)
Riya- Manik aap change kar lo tab tak main dinner leke aati hoon.
[Riya- Manik, you change, till then I will bring dinner for us.]
Manik (irritated)- I don't want to eat.
Riya (calmly)- Acha aap pehle change kar lo. I will be back by then, okay?
[Riya (calmly)- Okay, you get changed first. I will be back by then, okay?]
Manik- Take little time. Come back soon.
Riya- Okay. Just give me 05 minutes.
(She then goes to the kitchen while he gets changed into his nightwear. She prepares soup for him and takes a bowl of ice cubes and chilled water bottles. Putting everything in a tray, she returns to the room and knocks on the door.)
Riya- Manik, are you done?
Manik (from inside the room)- Yes.
(She then enters the room and finds him sitting on the bed with the headrest support. Keeping his clothes away, she checks his temperature, and the thermometer shows 102°C.)
Manik- What does it say?
Riya- It's 102°C. But you will be fine. Don't worry.
(She then quickly covers him with the blanket and brings him the bowl of soup. As his hands were shivering because of weakness, she feeds him, and he keeps looking at her as it is the first time that someone is caring for him, that someone is there for him too. He was so lost in all these thoughts that he didn't realize when his eyes got filled with tears again.)
Riya (wiping his tears)- Manik, no crying, please. Main hoon naa yahan aap ke paas. Aur sab theek hai.
[Riya (wiping his tears)- Manik, no crying, please. I am not here with you. And everything is fine.]
Manik- Hmm.
(After finishing the soup, she gives him the medicines and helps him lie on the bed. She then sits near his head and starts putting the cold cloth on his forehead, and he has already started feeling sleepy because of the medicines. He closes his eyes to sleep, but all that has happened today keeps coming in front of his eyes. He closes his eyes tightly to avoid everything, but the voices from today and his past keep echoing in his head, giving him more stress and pain. A painful sob escapes his mouth as he clutches the blanket in his fists.)
Riya (concerned)- Manik.
Manik (eyes closed, in tears)- No, please. Please stop this.
Riya (holding his hand)- Manik, everything is fine. Relax. Shhhh.
Manik (in pain)- Don't leave me alone, please. Mom... Mom...
Riya (caressing his hair)- Shhhh. Calm down, Manik. Relax... Relax.
(He hugs her hand with both his hands to his chest tightly, and she caresses his hair gently to calm him down. He then opens his eyes, and she looks on sadly as he is again in tears.)
Riya- Main yahin to hoon baba. So jao naa aap. Kahin nahi jaungi main Manik. Maine promise kiya hai naa. I won't go.
[Riya- I am here with you, baby. You sleep. Manik, I won't go anywhere. I have promised you, right? I won't go.]
Manik (in tears, scared)- Bohot darr lagta hai akele. Don't go, Riya, please. Please, mat jao. Mujhe akela mat chodo.

Riya (lovingly)- Manik, I am here with you, baby. See. I am here with you.

(Riya looks at him for a moment as he says that, but her trance breaks when he tries getting up.)
Riya- Manik, what are you doing? You need to rest, please.
Manik (in a panicked tone)- Main rest kar lunga. Aur tumhari saari baatein bhi maanuga. Par mat jao please. Mere paas raho please Riya please.
[Manik (in a panicked tone)- I will take some rest. And I will accept all your words. But please don't go. Stay with me, please, Riya, please.]
(On seeing him panicking and getting more restless, she quickly keeps the water bowl on the side and gets on the bed with him.)
Riya- Acha dekho main aap ke paas hoon. Aap ke saath. Ab lett jao chalo. Come.
[Riya- Well, look, I'm beside you. With you. Now lie down. Come.]
(She then makes him lie down and lies down next to him. And the next moment, he turns towards her, hugs her tightly, and keeps his head on her chest. She gets shocked at first and looks at him as he wraps his arms around her tightly and rests his head on her chest.)
Manik- I won't let you go away. I will never let you go away.
(She then, considering his state and all that has happened today, hugs him back, and he sighs at this. Riya lets go of the questions coming to her mind and focuses on his health. She further caresses his hair softly and keeps the cold cloth on his forehead.)
Riya (murmurs softly)- So jao.
[Riya (murmurs softly)- Sleep.]
(She then continues putting the cold cloth on his forehead and gently caressing his hair. She also massages his head and neck and feels him relaxing under her touch. Manik falls asleep within a few minutes, and she takes a deep breath. She looks at his face for a moment and then kisses his head. She looks at his face, thinking how broken he is from inside, yet he is a pro at hiding his emotions. She continues putting the cold cloth on his forehead until the fever comes down and then falls asleep while hugging him, at around 02:00 AM.)
