The sky was cloudy, as the wind pick up and in a few minutes, thunder rumbling could be heard echoing everywhere and throughout the basement that was sheltered the two poor souls together with the other prisoners.
With the rain suddenly pouring heavily, the rainwater slowly creeps inside the basement thus making the floor wet in which force the siblings who live down there to quickly pack their things up.
Their sleeping place was the farthest, dirtiest and at the end of the basements that often flooded if its rain heavily.
As the rain helped them by pushing their plan forward they begin to execute their plan by gathering their little belongings and heading over to the main entrance of the basements without being noticed.
"Baby brother, you ready?"
Asked the older sister as she look at her baby brother who replied to his sister by nodding his head and a small voice, 'yes sissy' as they both look at their surrounding.
They quickly zipped up their jumper, pull their hood on, tighten their backpack and walk out from the basement while slipping away from that place without making any noise and head over to the main road.
It feels hours after hours of walking that seems endless, as they both heads over to the bus station where they will leave the country by bus. Their tiredness of living, their lack of energy, their lack of sleep starts to creep up on them and this feeling gives the younger brother to give up on their quest but soon after the feeling was there, they have arrived at the small bus station.
"Sit here for a second, I'll go and buy the bus ticket"
"Okay sissy"
The older sister head over to the counter and get them the first ticket which leaves in about 15 minutes as what she was hoping for prior to her accurate calculation and precise prediction.
The siblings quickly boarded the bus, waited for a few more minutes and at the exact 6 am the bus departed from the station, leaving the country that treat them like a speck of dirt on their sole and held prison in which they grow up behind.
For the first in a few centuries, the sibling takes their much-needed sleep while hugging each other throughout their journey without being bothered or being beaten by the others.
After arriving at the other country, they quickly walk over to the ship station where they continue their quest on leaving the place across the continent before they settle down, find food, work and shelter.
It's been a few days since their non-stop travel, going from one place to another, using bus and ships, repeating the process again and again and at last, they've arrived at their destination via boat.
Like every trip, both siblings will take their naps as much as they can in order to run away full of energy, but something about the country that they entered makes them shift in their sleep till they face away from each other.
The moment the boat enter the country, both sibling who was fast asleep could hear a crystal clear voice that says;
"Finally! I Found You"
This sentence startle them up as if they were being spooked. Automatically the younger brother turn to look at his sister who did the same with a wide eye. They both quickly crawl near each other, take their seats, look at their surroundings wearily as they gather their belongings.
The younger brother couldn't contain himself anymore, snuggle closer to his sister and whisper; "Sissy, did you hear that?" in fear as he look at his sister with a heavy breath.
The older sister, without thinking much, hugged her younger brother tightly, as she whisper and caress his back softly and said; "I did and don't worry baby brother I'm here. Don't worry, okay baby brother. I have never failed you and I will never let anyone do bad thing to you".
The younger brother couldn't just sit still as he too feels like he need to step up and protect his sister rather than the other way round, so he release his hug, slightly pushed his sister then quickly hug her back as in now, he's the one who is hugging his sister not the other way around.
The younger brother is full of determination as he caresses his sister's back just like what she often does to him whisper;
"I will protect you sissy"
"Let's protect each other just like what we promise to our parents"
Said the older sister in which didn't earn her the answer that she want. So she push his brother slightly away as he release his grip and she look at him with a sweet loving smile as she repeat her sentence again clearly wanting his brother to not do any rash decision in which didn't respond to her brother.
"Baby brother, let's protect each other just like what we promise to our parents, okay?" asked the sister again as she show her pinky indicate that it's a promise that they need to uphold.
"I can-"
Before the younger brother could respond to his sister, the boat docked at its place as they've arrived at its destination and without wasting any time, both siblings gather their belongings and unload themselves as they walk aimlessly towards the city centre.
After a few minutes of walking, both sibling who was walking aimlessly, looking around the city, exhale, inhale the fresh slightly polluted air while smiling proudly of themselves as they've reached their destination.
But as soon as they wanted to relax, settle down at the new place without being bothered or even recognised by others, suddenly they could hear a distant threaten growl that's coming from their back.
The sibling turn around slowly, while swallowing their dry saliva and spotted one of the warriors from their old pack, growl lowly threaten at them as he smirking like a maniac while cracking his bones and soon a solo pack turns to a pack of 4 people looking, smirking at them.
As if on cue, the poor siblings run for their dear life away from them towards the untouched forest, as fast as they can while the other 4 people chase after them, howl in a hunting howl thus their chase begins.
Like a mouse in a cat's den, both siblings try their best to outrun them but due to the younger brother being a normal mundane person, he runs slower than his older sister who is a Delta type of werewolf.
'Faster baby brother, run faster!'
Said the older sister as she minds linked his brother who replied;
'No! Sissy, run faster! Go towards the house a few minutes from here, go and ask help from them'
As he tries his best to run while his sister slow down slightly trying to match her pace with her brother, in a fully confused tone she asked;
'House? How do you know?'
'I don't know but I could feel them. Something about them makes me be-'
Before the younger brother could finish his sentence, he was being pushed by his sister down which makes him roll forwards and hit the trees while he quickly looks at his sister who was being pinned down by the leader of the pack that hunt them.
"LEAVE HER ALONE!" scream the younger brother while in pain.
The guys who were standing a few meters away from him, quickly transform themselves and one of them start to slowly walk over towards him while smirking like a maniac and at that meantime, his sister was being forced to strip down while the other two looked at them at the sideline enjoying their view.
"GRACE!"
Scream the younger brother as he pulls himself up and runs over towards his sister. Grace the older sister never once divert her attention away from her brother as she looks at him while smiling;
'It's okay baby brother, I love you and will protect you always'
Without any delay Grace quickly push the man that was on top of her when he was distracted by looking at her younger brother running towards them, she then launches her attack on the man that straddled her.
Due to the urgency of the situation, Grace transform into her rustic brown wolf and claw the man merciless till he couldn't move while the two quickly transform into their own wolf instantly run towards Grace as she changes her target to the person who is near to her brother.
"NO! DON'T!" scream the younger brother loudly as he looked at his sister who was being tackled by the other two wolves.
Meanwhile, the man who was near him enraged, quickly grabbed onto Grace's brother tightly then slam his body on the ground which makes him black out immediately to the force impact.
