the voices
HEARING PEOPLE talk is exhausting,
let alone hearing voices in your head almost every single hour. It wasn't a secret that Aven has been having some post traumatic stress after the whole getting tortured by death eaters.
The word spread like a butter, people outside Hogwarts kept talking about the girl who survived. As much as Aven love to know that people cares about her, she also loves to sleep in peace.
After answering a bunch of questions, Aven left the Hospital Wing due to her needing some fresh air. Sirius had left to take a shower, so she was left alone.
She walked to the one place she always goes to when she needed some air. The Black Lake. The atmosphere of the Black Lake always calmed her down. Maybe it's because of the seagulls flying above her, or maybe it's because the air in the Black Lake is so fresh. She doesn't know the real reason why, but she loves it nonetheless.
After 10 minute of peace, the voices crept in her head again. This one is different than the others. The voices that she heard before was muffled, but now it was crystal clear.
She knew that Voldemort would never give up so easily, she knew that the dark lord would find a way to disturb her.
And it seems that he found a way to do that.
"Aven"
"This us not the end"
"I will come for you and your family"
"I will kill your friends one by one in front of you"
"I will have my people torture your dearest Sirius Black"
"I will slaughter your family"
"I will kill those who are at Hogwarts"
"And at last, i will kill you" The voice whispered in her head
Although she must admit that the words Voldemort chose were simply cringe, it doesn't stop her from being terrified l. Not of Voldemort, but for her loved ones. Aven doesn't care about Voldemort killing her, but when she couldn't stand the thought of her loved ones dying.
The voices caused a very painful headache. She felt like as if her brain were being torn out of her head. The pain in her chest slowly hardened. She couldn't scream or move.
It was like the day in the Graveyard, she felt as if someone is deflecting the Cruciatus spell towards her. She tried to move but she can't, her body was too exhausted to move. It was then, the darkness took over her.

Sirius walked back to the Hospital Wing with flowers and a lollipop for Aven. He was expecting to see her there, obviously. But when he arrived, well she wasn't there.
"Have you seen Aven?" Sirius asked the students in the halls
"No, sorry mate"
"Mr. Black, where is Miss Cross?" Madam Pomfrey ran to the boy
"I don't know, i'll look for her"
"Hurry up will you, her body is too weak right now. She needs proper rest or else she will collapse again" Madam Pomfrey told Sirius, panicking
"I will" Sirius nodded with worried eyes
He walked towards the great hall, but he bumped into his friends.
"Whoa Pads what's wrong?" James asked noticing that Sirius is in a rush
"Aven" Sirius breathed out
"What do you mean?" Remus asked worriedly
"Yeah what's wrong with Aven?" Peter questioned Sirius
"She's not in the Hospital Wing, now please help me find her" Sirius sternly replied
"Okay" Lily nodded
The group ran separate ways. They searched everywhere, including the Astronomy tower, but she wasn't there. After about 15 minutes they finally met up in front of the Great hall.
"Did you find her?" Sofia asked the four boys in front of her
"No" Peter replied
"The Black Lake" Sirius muttered
"What?" Frank questioned
"The Black Lake" Sirius answered
"Right let's go" Emillio ran
The group ran to the Black Lake, hoping to see Aven alive and well.
"There!" Regulus pointed
And there they saw Aven laying on the floor, blood rushing out of her head due to her head hitting a rock. Sirius ran towards Aven and quickly picked her up.
"Grab her leg!" Sirius yelled
They walked to the Hospital Wing, and obviously it catches alot of attention. All eyes were on them as they walked to the Hospital Wing.
"POPPY!" Remus yelled as he searched for Madam Pomfrey
"Oh dear lord what happened?" Madam Pomfrey widened her eyes
"We found her in the Black Lake like this" Alice replied
"Okay, you kids go outside" The older woman instructed
"No! I want to stay with her" Sirius denied
"Mr. Black, i need you to go outside"
"Padfoot come on" James grabbed Sirius' shoulder
"No i want to stay"
"Sirius let's go" Said Emillio

"What happened?" McGonagall asked the teenagers in front of her
"We don't know" Dorcas replied as she sat on the bench
"Sirius you need to drink" Lily offered him a cup of water
"I'm alright, thanks" Sirius looked down, his face is pale and his body is still shaking
"No you're not, just drink the water" Lily gave him the water
After Sirius drank the water, Madam Pomfrey appeared.
"How is she?" Emillio stood up
"Well she lost some blood due to her head hitting the ground, her body is still weak right now. But what concerns me the most that, it seems that a spell hit her"
"What spell?" McGonagall furrowed her eyebrows
"The cruciatus spell to be exact" Madam Pomfrey informed, causing the group to widened their eyes
"Can we see her?" Sirius asked worriedly
"I suggest you see her later, she really need to rest" Madam Pomfrey smiled sympathetically
After about an hour and a half, Aven woke up. She immediately asked for Sirius and the others.
"Hi Black" Aven coughed
"Merlin love what happened?" Sirius sat on her bed, grabbing Aven's hand
"I think you lot need to sit down" Aven sat up
After they all sat on a chair, Aven took a deep breath.
"So here is what happened at the graveyard"
"Graveyard?" Regulus asked confusedly
"Yes, gaveyard. When i saw the Triwizard Cup, i went to grab it, but then i realized that i was in a graveyard. At first i thought that it was just a part of the task, but what confused me was that the graveyard, it was the same graveyard that i saw in my dreams"
"What do you mean dreams?" Remus furrowed his eyebrows
"Right, i haven't told anyone you about the dreams"
"Okay so for the past like three months, i had these dreams about a graveyard, at first it was nothing. But as weeks passed by, the dreams turned darker and darker. The graveyard in the maze was the same graveyard in my dream"
"As i was about to grab the Triwizard cup, Voldemort showed up. He then told me about his mission to make my family death eaters, but he knew that they will never agree to be death eaters. So he wanted to use me as a bait. He told me that if i die, people will be scared of him and they will be his servants" Aven explained as Emillio stares at his sister with tears in his eyes
"And then i grabbed the cup to get back, but i was stopped by his death eaters. They deflect the cruciatus spell towards me, it was only one person at first. But then Voldemort instructed all of the death eaters to deflect the spell all together. And they did. The only thing that i could do was to whisper a spell that i created back in fourth year"
"You created a spell?" Sirius asked i shock
"Yes, i did. The spell can only hurt those who's filled with darkness. So if i say the spell right now, it won't affect any of you. Anyways, here's what happened today. After loads of people asking me questions, i felt exhausted and i needed fresh air. So i went to the Black Lake. After only 5 minutes of peace, i heard voices in my head" Aven took a deep breath
"It was Voldemort's, wasn't it?" Lily asked
"It was. He told me about how he's going to torture you all and about how he's going to kill those who are in Hogwarts, and about how he's going to kill me. The voices were too much for me, but then i felt this pain rushing through my body. Maybe someone deflect the curse towards me, i don't know but it felt like i was back in the graveyard. And then i passed out and hit my head, the end" Aven smiled bitterly
Sirius brought Aven to a hug, knowing that she needs it.
"Okay i have one question" Emillio stood up
"Why didn't he just use the killing curse if he wanted to kill you?"
"That's still a question" Aven replied as she laid her head on Sirius' shoulder
