THREE

chapter three;
the one with the new friends

TO SAY that Aven was not nervous would be an understatement. All of this is new to her. She came to the realization that she was going to start a new life where magic would be included.

"Are you ready sweetheart?" Marcus asked her daughter who's looking at the mirror

"Yeah" Aven answered looking at the mirror once again before looking at her father smiling.

The Cross family made their way to the king's cross station.

"Mom where's platform nine and three-quarters" Aven asked

"In order to get onto platform nine and three-quarters, you have to walk directly to the wall between platform nine and platform ten" Arabella replied

"But how is that going to work? I don't want to bang my head into the wall" Aven said scrunching her nose

"Well this is the wizarding world after all hun, everything is possible" Marcus replied ruffling his daughters hair

"Come on, me and your siblings can go first" He said to her and looked at his older children

"Let's run into the wall okay?" He said and all of his older kids nodded

The five of them ran to the wall pair by pair and Aven stood there in shock and she thought about the fact that no one saw what happened even when two people just walked pass them.

"Ready?" Arabella asked her daughter

"Yes i guess" Aven replied

"Well come on" Emillio said tugging at his mother's hand

The three of them ran to the wall and Aven was in shock but she was amazed of what she saw.

The station looked so lively compared to the other side of the wall. Children hugging their parents goodbye, animals in their cages.

"Okay well in 15 minutes the train is going to board" Arabella said looking at her daughter with tears in her eyes

"Mom i'll be okay, i'll make new friends and i'm going to have the best time in the world" Aven promised noticing her mother's tears

"I know sweetheart, i just need you to be careful okay?" Arabella cupped her daughters cheeks in her hands

"I will" Aven hugged her mother

Aven said goodbye to her siblings and to her father, the older siblings might not have been close with Aven but they will miss her presence in the house.

Emillio have always been the closest to Aven amongst all the siblings, probably the reason is because they share the same interests and because they're only a year apart

"You promise you're going to write to us?" Emillio asked his sister

"I will E, i promise" Aven replied hugging her brother
