Dragonstone
Targaryens were the only dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria in 102 BC and the following Century of Blood. Daenys Targaryen later also known as Daenys the Dreamer dreamt of a powerful prophetic dream, showing the destruction of Valyria by fire. In 114 BC, her father, Lord Aenar Targaryen, heeded her dream and sold his holdings in the Valyrian Freehold and moved his family and all of their belongings to Dragonstone, an island in the narrow sea off the eastern coast of Westeros. With them, they took five dragons. The Doom happened twelve years later making House Targaryen the only family of Dragonriders which survived.
Gaemon Targaryen, known as Gaemon the Glorious became Lord of Dragonstone after his father's passing. He was married to his sister Daenys and together they had three known children Aegon, Elaena and at least one younger daughter. Their two older children eventually inherited the rule of Dragonstone from their parents. Gaemon is remembered as the greatest Targaryen Lord of Dragonstone during the Century of Blood.
Daenys bore to her brother-husband at least three children, a son Aegon who would later marry his sister Eleaena and another daughter beside her.
Maegon, the eldest son of Aegon and Elaena, would be the next Lord of Dragonstone who would be succeeded by his younger brother Aerys.
Aerys would marry and have three sons who would eventually all become Lords of the Dragonstone as well.
After his brothers Aelyx and Baelon, Daemion was the next Lord. With only one son Aerion who just like most Targaryen would become a Lord himself.
Even though not a lot is known about the previous Targaryers, Lord Aerion makes think a bit more interesting.
As he had no sister to marry, he married his cousin Valaena Velaryon who was a half-Targaryen herself. She gave him four children.
The oldest Visenya. A skilled warrior who had her own Valyrian steel longsword Dark Sister. Passionate but serious, her beauty more austere than that of her sisters. Her she-dragon Vhagar was smaller than the rest of the dragons but no less powerful.
Aegon, the only son of Lord Aerion and Lady Valaena. Born a year after his sister, the future of House Targaryen. Strong and brave, taller than his sisters. He too like his sister owned a Valyrian sword, Blackfyre. His dragon was the biggest of them, Balerion also called The Black Dread.
Rhaenys, second daughter to Lord and Lady of Dragonstone. Her beauty was softer than the one of her older sister. Rhaenys made friends easily, thanks to her playful nature. She wielded no sword but loved to fly with her she-dragon Meraxes.
Aelora, the youngest of the four, look the same Valyrian as her siblings. Serious like Visenya, but more emotional. Very caring and protective of her family. Same as with Rhaenys, she had no sword of her own. She was the rider of a dragon Gaelithox.
While their ancestors took just the small island Dragonstone, the four Targaryens will make sure to take all of the Westeros. It may sound selfish. Is it selfish if they tried to unite it?
