Q: Any tips for new writers?
A: Stay in school lmao- Ah, I'm partially joking! Partially... 😂 Though legit one of the most helpful things is having a vast mental dictionary of words to use when you're writing. It improves naturally as you get older. But there are still many times where I read over something I wrote and realize I used a word a few too many times to the point where it was annoying, and have to fix it. 'Said' is a word that is most affected by this. That's why I use lots of variety to the point where you could hardly find me writing the word. There's nothing wrong with using 'said' at times, but variety helps give your story more life and prevents 'he said this, she said this'... for example. Uhhh, geez, I could go on this topic forever honestly. So many things have shaped how my writing has gotten to this point. The biggest though- cliche as it is- is writing daily or every couple days. It really is the best way to improve. And if you find past writing cringy, that's GOOD! That means you improved tons!
Also, one tiny extra tip I cannot stress enough with fanfic writing: HAVE. SPACING. PLEASE. 😅 So many fanfics are just a wall of text without the enter key ever being used, and I physically cannot read a block of text. It hurts- IT HURTSSSS! I want to read whatever story someone made, but then I just see a block of text and my eyes force me to faintly skim it instead- 😭
Q: How are you such a good writer?
A: I don't know, practice since I was 5 years old, I guess lol! But really, yeah, practice is important. For fun, I'll give you all the little run down of MY personal process of writing a oneshot: First, I choose a character (or have a character chosen for me lmao!) and try to come up with a basic idea. If I've got nothing, I'll either leave it for later to write (some days I'm just not in the right head space) or I will search up 'oneshot fluff prompts'.
... I'm not even joking. 😆 😅 I'm suuuper creative-
Then once I got the basic concept down, I start writing! However, if it is a character I haven't wrote before or just don't feel confident writing, I search up resources to help. These are typically either their wiki page or video clips where I can listen to their voice and mannerisms when they speak. For Spamton, I relied a lot on the wiki and these two videos: 'SPAMTON'S SALES PITCH DELTARUNE animatic' by überwachen... and 'Spamton Neo Voice Acted (Deltarune Voice Acting)' by Audiospawn. THEN, once the writing is done... which I usually do either in one sitting if it is easy to write, or I'll do it over a few days... I edit and read through it out loud to catch mistakes, and then it gets published!
Q: What's your favorite food?
A: Ice cream cake probably! I love ice cream... And so combined with cake (which is heaven-)... It's like... magic- haha-
Q: Do you have a favorite type of flower?
A: Is this because of the Spamton flower shop oneshot? 😂 Anyways though, uhhh, let's see... I don't really know much about flowers honestly. I like roses though? 🤔
Q: How did you discover Deltarune in the first place?
A: Well, I was actually in the Undertale fandom before this! And I stuck in it really good; like I was obsessed for years, legit. Deltarune chapter 1 came out and... I couldn't care less. 😂 Yeah, at the time, I would come across some Deltarune stuff and like... I'd look at some of it, but my interest wasn't there. I did like Jevil though! Oh ho ho, but then Chapter 2 came! I watched Merg's playthrough, and I was HOOKED! (Blame Spamton- That little sponge is too interesting for his own good smh- Also Queen too though. The characters are just... so frigging quirky in Chapter 2! I love them!)
Q: What's your favorite candy?
A: Hmmm... The brand messed up the making of the gummy dolphins (how dARE THEY-) so I can't say that... Uhhh... I love caramel? Aww chocolate too though... Th- There's too many good options! This question is unfair! 😂
Q: Something you love more than anything in the world?
A: Oh man, uhhh... Honestly not much, haha! I mean... I get super attatched to fictional characters, but that partially comes in and out in phases... Hmm... That's honestly really tough. I have a plush from when I was really little though, so I'd have to say that?
Q: What's your favorite oneshot in this book?
A: Oh geez, making me choose between my own writing? XD Alright, I'm going to skim through them all for a sec. Brb- ✌

Okay! Honestly, I'm pretty proud of all of them! However, my favorite has to be Spamton- The Cuddles Deal. The flowershop one is a close second, but while I love the non-Spamton ones, Spamton takes extra effort to write dialogue for. So those oneshots I naturally but more work and time into, because he's tricky to write! And that extra feeling of achievement after finishing those, paired with just how FREAKING CUTE those oneshots are is killer! 👌 Also The Cuddles Deal is my fav because I'm a sucker for wholesome cuddles oneshots, AND that breakfast scene bit I wrote at like... 1 AM or something and I was super proud of it- 😆
Q: Do you like anything else besides Deltarune?
A: Oh yeah! Tons of stuff! Heck, Deltarune is just the recent tip of the iceberg! I've gone crazy obsessive over tons of other fandoms! Sonic the Hedgehog was my very first. Then lots of cartoons (Ducktales 2017, ROTTMTNT, just to name a few-), and then animes (Haikyuu and MHA are big ones-)... So yeah! This is not my first time in the fandom abyss of obsessive writing! XD Recently, I've also gotten sucked into an obsession of Murder Drones... whiiiich is NOT helping my motivation to write Deltarune stuff- But it's honestly such a good show in the one episode it has lmao, and I can't help iiitttt- 😂

A: Actually, today was pretty good! Though I'll gladly accept a virtual hug! ☺
Q: What inspired/ why did you to start writing this book?
A: Mmm, funnily enough, the same reasons as many other oneshots I've wrote before. One, falling head over heels for a character (in this case, cough cough, SPAMTON-). Secondly, I like giving content to fandoms! I enjoy writing, and oneshots are the easiest way I can do so. I struggle with motivation, so full fanfics are hard to write... and original stories even more so. Oneshots are cute, easy enough, can make others happy, and can give me some of that good ol' dopamine when I finish them! Plus, more chances to practice my writing and I get to go nuts over my favorite characters in the process! There's literally no downsides!
I was worried at first though when I made it though... Since Wattpad is not very user friendly when you are starting out, I doubted anyone would find my book. Guess publishing a story every day gets attention of other people or something though- 👀 😆
Q: How have you been doing? I hope you have been taking care of yourself.
A: I've been doing alright! Getting at least two meals a day, going outside... occasionally interacting with fellow members of the human race... mhm, mhm~
Q: What's your favorite animal? XD
A: 😂 There's several animals I like quite a bit... but arctic fox is my absolute favorite! Have any of you seen the videos of those little guys?! They are SO CUTE! Fun fact: When I was little, elephants were the first animal I could consider as a favorite!
Q: Would you do oneshots with your own ideas?
A: Yeah! And actually, I write tons of oneshots off of this site! Some I write on other writing sites... And others, well, I write privately for my own enjoyment! I'm gonna expose myself here and confess that those private oneshots are mmmmostly cuddle comfort oneshots- 👉👈 o///o
Q: How do you feel when you see that you get so much support and so many people like your book?
A: It's such a nice feeling that's hard to describe, really. I think online I'm generally considered as a really likable person. But in person, I'm pretty ignored and disliked by people, frankly. It feels like a completely different world. On here, there's so many lovely people who are so supportive and kind, and have so much in common... And comparing that to how I'm typically treated in person... It's honestly quite a weird and foreign feeling for me, but absolutely welcomed and absolutely appreciated. I appreciate you all a lot.
... Uhm, didn't mean to get so deep and sad there, but it's really a big part of how it feels so good to be supported and encouraged on here! 😅
Q: Who's you favorite Deltarune character and why?
A: *slams hands on a table* SPAMTON! Hands down, this goofy gremlin salesman scammer is the best part of Deltarune! I don't know what about him I like so much... 🤔 I think maybe in some aspects I can relate to him? No, no I don't live in a garbage can- Don't worry about that- 😂 But I think that the fact that he's kinda the odd one out in... well, really the whole world, is a feeling I can kinda connect with... OH AND HE'S JUST SO INFINITELY INTERESTING! Like, you see him, and you're immediately fixated on a) what the heck is this tiny many trying to do? b) why does he live in a trash can? c) wHoA his voice isn't normal?! And it only escalates more as you learn more about him!
(And plus he's short. I can relate to short characters- 😆)
Q: Where do you find the motivation to write? (Share the secret or no more candy for you- 😆)
A: I don't.
... 🤣 But seriously, this question is honestly kinda funny because my motivation is really horrendous lmao. Really all that motivates me to write these oneshots is that the small size of these stories makes it an easily achievable project... and wanting to give all the hugs in the world to these characters! I would give up candy for two months to have these precious characters be real!

A: I'm a simple human being; I usually just stick with having maple syrup or chocolate sauce on it! Though on the rare occasion, I have whipped cream with chocolate sauce on top!
