the oblivious friend
A WEEK PASSED and loads of
boys, girls and non-binaries, kept asking Aven if she wanted to be their date.As much as Aven hated to say no, she had to because she's still waiting for one person.
And that one person is none other than Sirius. After months and months and months of denying her feelings towards the boy,she finally came to the conclusion that actually do like him. After realizing her feelings, she couldn't help but blush and get flustered every single time Sirius talking to her or just simply looked at her.
Sometimes she would ran away due to her face turning so red to the point where her body temperature is so hot.
As for Sirius, he kept thinking that Aven doesn't like him back. Considering every single time he wanted to talk to her,she would run away. His feelings for her is so strong that sometimes all he could think about is her,which he never really experienced with the girls that he used to be with in the past.
The two would still deny that they like each other every single time their friends brought up the topic.
"What's your opinion?" Remus asked the two who played with their food avoiding each other's gaze
"Hello?" Peter waved his hand in front of them
"Earth to Prongs and Star" James snapped his fingers,still no answer from them
"GUYS LOOK ALICE AND FRANK ARE KISSING EACH OTHER" Sofia yelled which caused the two to look up
"WHAT WHERE?" The two asked at the same time
"No they're not they're just blushing" Sirius huffed looking at Frank and Alice who looked down blushing
"You didn't answer my question" Remus told Aven and Sirius
"Sorry,what was the question again" The two of the asked at the same time again
"Merlin they are so in sync" Lily said
"I don't get how they're a matchmaker but they can't even realize their match" Dorcas shook her head
"Merlin i know right? like their match is literally in front of them" Marlene chuckled at her best friend's obliviousness
"We can hear you!" The two exclaimed
"Yeah we know" Alice said
"That's like the whole point" Frank added
"And what are you on about?" Sirius asked
"If our match is right in front of us wouldn't we date them already?" Aven asked running her hand through her hair
"I don't know why don't you two tell us" Lily smirked
"What are you on about?" The two huffed
"God you guys are so oblivious,even i know what they're talking about!" Peter exclaimed
"Yeah okay i'm gonna leave" Aven told them whilst standing up
"Why?" Sirius pouted grabbing her hand
"I uh have to uhm water my fish,yeah i have to water my fish" Aven panicked at the sudden touch before walking away
The group watched her walking away.
Confusion is the only thing on Sirius'
mind.He wanted to know why Aven kept running away.He wanted to know if it was because of something that he did.He wanted to know what's happening with her.
"What was that?" James asked confused
"I don't know" Sirius looked down

"Merlin why am i so stupid" Aven banged her head on the wall
"Water your fish? Really Ave?"
"Well technically you can water your fish" A thick Bulgarian accent chimed in
"Oscar" Aven breathed out
"I saw you walking away so i decided to follow you"
"May i?" Oscar asked Aven
"Yeah sit down" Aven smiled
"It's so clear that you like him you know" Oscar told her
"W-who?" Aven stuttered
"The boy with the long hair,what's his name again? Oh yeah Sirius"
"What me? Liking Sirius? No way" Aven lied
"Oh Come on everyone can see it"
"I don't like Sirius" Aven defended
"That's what i kept telling myself when i had a crush on Louis"
"And now he's my boyfriend" Oscar smiled at the thought of his boyfriend
"Shit i uhm yeah i forgot to tell you i'm gay.That's uhm that's okay right?" Oscar freaked out
"Okay? Oscar it's more than okay!" Aven exclaimed
"Thank Merlin,not everyone's supportive of my decision so i just panicked sorry" Oscar apologized
"Don't apologize you didn't do anything wrong,and don't listen to those people they're just being a bitch, and they're all assholes and no one likes them" Aven replied and Oscar laughed
"Back to the topic, you like Sirius" Oscar looked at her
"No i don't"
"Yes you do"
"I don't" Aven defended but Oscar just gave her a look
"Fine i guess i don't know it's all so frustrating" Aven buried her face on her hand
"I know it is, the whole 'liking someone but not knowing if they feel same' phase sucks"
"How did you know that Louis liked you back then,before he became your boyfriend?"
"Well he would always find excuses to talk to me and to just be around me.He would always put his arms around my shoulders.He's always there for me.
There's other reason obviously but that's a few reasons that made me realized that he might like me back.We were in denial at first.Just like you and Sirius,avoiding each other and all that" Oscar explained
The realization hit Aven.Sirius did all those stuff with her.But she just shrug it off since it's not a very good proof that Sirius likes her back.
"Trust me Ave,Sirius likes you back"
"Yesterday i heard him telling the first years stories about you" Oscar told her making her smile
"The look on his face when he told the first graders about you is pure love"
"Well i wouldn't say love" Aven shrugged
"Trust me it is, that boy couldn't stop smiling when one of the first graders asked him if he likes you" Oscar chuckled
"Hey Av-" Sirius stopped as soon as he saw Aven and Oscar sitting together
"Oh sorry i was about to help you water your fish but i guess you already got help" Sirius laughed bitterly
"Padfoot i-" Before Aven could finish Sirius already left
"Merlin what am i going to do?" Aven sighed
"Talk to him,tell him the truth before it's too late" Oscar replied softly
"Okay" Aven nodded
"Oh and tell him i'm gay will you? I can see the jealousy from his eyes" Oscar chuckled
"I will" Aven laughed
