I quickly looked around the restroom looking for tampons or pads.
Under the sink I finally found some.
I read somewhere that it's best to wait for a few months before using tampons.
So I'm going to wait, partly because I'm a little scared to use them.
I took a pad and put it in my underwear that luckily stayed clean.
Only when I had finished up and had washed my hands, I went outside.
I walked back to the dining room and sat down in my chair.
Elijah handed me my medication which I quickly swallowed down.
Everyone started putting some food on their plate, but I felt too nauseous to eat.
But even though I felt really nauseous, I knew that I needed to eat something.
I grabbed some fruit and a little yogurt while the others started eating already.
While eating I ask dad about the sleepover.
"Dad?"
"Mhm" He hummed
"You know my friends right?"
"Yeah" he said suspicious, looking up.
"So my friends have a sleepover every month where they all go to. Every month is at someone else's house and this month would normally start again with the first person because the circle is over but, since I'm now also part of the friend group they asked me if I wanted to join. So that means that we would be having a sleepover here next week, if that's okay with you. So what do you think?"
He didn't say anything so I continued "We won't be annoying or anything. We will go to the mall or something and when we're home than we won't annoy you either. It would also be my first sleepover ever and I'll clean everything after if we make a mess and-" I cut myself of when that sharp pain just like in the shower came back.
I put a hand on my stomach, putting pressure on the pain, hoping it would ease.
Which it didn't.
I put my legs up in my chair and curled up in a ball, hoping the pain would stop.
I can't show anything, I don't want them to know that my period started, why? I don't know, I just don't.
"I forgot what I was going to say, but what do you think?" I asked.
I grabbed another piece of fruit and started eating it , waiting for his answer.
The pain got worse so I quickly took another piece of fruit to stop myself from crying out in pain.
Some tears sparkled in my eyes but, I suppressed them away.
"Your friends are good people who haven't committed any crime neither have their families.-" dad started. "-But I don't know if it is safe letting people in our home, but I have security, your brothers and me who can protect the house and stuff. But then again there are boys in your friend group, Felix and Elliot if I remember correct-"
"Dad, we're 14. I'm not having sex any time soon, neither are my friend going too. Plus Felix is already dating someone and Elliot, he's not thinking about dating or any of that stuff." I cut him off.
"Mhm" dad hummed again, thinking.
"Bodyguards outside every room and I or your brothers check up on you guys every hour. Also boys and girls sleep at least 10 feet apart from each other." Dad said.
"Deal" I said smiling before I continued eating.
The pain got even worse making me painfully whimper as I curled my head together in my lap, making my body curl up in a complete circle.
Xander gently touched my back, "Hey bambina, are you sure that you're okay?" He asked in a worried tone.
"Mhm" I groaned out painfully.
"-I'm okay" I stuttered as tear made its way out of my eye.
I suddenly felt really nauseous and felt like I was going to throw up.
I quickly ran out of my chair and ran to the restroom.
Walking and standing hurt so fucking much, I can't even describe it.
As soon as I arrived, I threw up my breakfast.
The pain got worse while tears made their way out of my eyes.
"Ahh please stop" I sobbed out when the pain got even worse then when I was standing in the shower.
I groaned and whimpered in pain while sitting next to the toilet occasionally throwing up while crying.
It hurts so fucking bad, I've never felt pain this bad before.
I felt my family's presence appear behind me, but I didn't care or acknowledge them, I was in too much pain too.
I curled up in a ball, hanging over the toilet while putting pressure on my stomach.
I don't think that this pain is normal for a regular period.
I've heard that it hurts like a bitch, but I've never seen people have this much pain from it.
I felt someone's hand on my back, "sorella, I need you to tell me where exactly it hurts so I can help you" Elijah said.
"My s-stomach Lijah, pl-please it hurts so fucking m-much" I sobbed out, the pain becoming unbearable.
I felt puke come up so I quickly threw myself over the toilet again, puking my guts out.
Elijah held my hair up while stroking my back.
When I was done and slouched back on the floor curling up in the same ball Elijah talked again, "Where on your stomach?"
"Ab-abdomen, it-it's not normal" I cried hugging myself.
"Have you gotten your period before?" He asked gently stroking my back while I was tortured.
"This pain h-has been occurring this past week, b-but today it's so much w-worse. About ten minutes ago I got it for the first time." I said referring to my period, it's better to be honest about it and make this pain stop then lie and feel like I'm dying.
The pain got even worse then unbearable making me almost scream in pain while tears rolled down my cheeks.
"make it stop please, I-I'm begging you" I cried out.
"Okay, do I need to help you stand or not?" He asked.
"H-help" I whimpered.
He nodded before gripping me on my arm to help me stand.
He pulled me up, but quickly stopped when I started puking again.
He just stroked my back with those comforting circles while holding my hair.
"It's okay, just breathe" He said gently.
"Call a gynaecologist" He said turning around, ordering dad to do so.
While Elijah was telling him that and was turned around, I felt myself going light headed when I tried to stand up.
"Lijah" I said softly before I lost my balance and darkness took over.

Elijah's POV.
"Lijah" I heard Valentina say softly behind me while I was talking to dad.
I immediately turned around, seeing Val fall down.
I quickly caught her before she hit the ground.
She probably passed out from the pain.
I picked her up before running to the medical wing in our house.
I sat her down on the examination table and started working on putting an IV in her.
I added some painkillers with it.
I have some experience in the female anatomy, but I never fully studied it on it's own.
So I don't know as much as a gynaecologist knows.
I grabbed the ultrasound that we have here from when mom was pregnant.
I lifted Val her shirt and hoodie then pulled her high wasted sweatpants down a little so I could acces her abdomen.
I grabbed the abdominal transducer and put some gel on her skin.
I turned the ultrasound on to see what might be wrong.
I can't find anything, but I'm not a professional.
I stopped looking and wiped the gel off of her skin before fixing her clothes.
When I cleaned the abdominal transducer and turned back around my family stood there waiting impatiently.
"So?" Dad asked nervous.
"I can't find anything wrong, but I'm not a professional we'll have to wait until she arrives. I think that she just has severe period pains; vomiting, extremely painful cramps, dizziness, fainting or near fainting,.. are symptoms from it, recent studies show that period cramps can even be as painful as a heart attack. But again, I'm not a professional, I think that something serious might be wrong with her." I spoke making their faces fall even lower if that was possible.
The bell went so I quickly ran to the door answering it.
"Hello, I'm gynaecologist doctor Elizabeth." She said.
"Welcome doctor, come in." I said opening the door further.
She gave me a smile before walking inside, "So what is the problem?" She asked.
"Right, follow me" I said leading her the way before I explained "So my little sister Valentina, started her first period today. For the past week she has been getting extremely painful cramps, but the bleeding only started today. Not long after it started the pain got really bad, she started throwing up while sobbing and crying in pain before she passed out from it. She and I both think that this pain is not normal for a regular period, I think something bad might be wrong." I said leading her into the medical wing.
"Mhm right. Has she told you about the pains or not?" She asked.
"No, only today before she passed out."
"So you don't know if she might have any other type of pains, nauseous, pelvic pain,.."
"She has been getting easily dizzy and nauseous this past week, but hasn't told me about anything more."
"Okay, well I'm going to start with an ultrasound and see further from that. Is that alright with you?" She asked.
We all gave her consent to do what she needed to.
She started by pressing on her abdomen then an ultrasound.
"Okay, I'd like to do a laparoscopy sir" She told dad.
"What exactly is that?" He now asked.
"A laparoscopy is an operation in which a camera (a laparoscope) is inserted into the pelvis via a small cut near the navel. I will use the camera to see the pelvic organs and look for any signs of endometriosis." She told dad.
"Endometriosis? Are you sure?" I asked her shocked.
"Just to be sure, I can't find anything through the ultrasound so dysmenorrhea or anything like that can't be the problem." She said.
"Okay, do what you need to I guess."
She agreed and started to prepare herself and Val for the little operation.
We needed to step out of the room or wear a mask and wash our hands, that's exactly what we all did.
She gave Val an anesthetic drug to make sure she stays asleep before she cleaned the area she was going to work on.
She made a small incision ear her navel before putting the laparoscope inside her.
The heart monitor kept beeping at the same pace while her blood pressure stayed normal, that's good.
After a few minutes she was done and took the camera out of her.
She sew the cut close and cleaned everything up.
After about 20 minutes she came back with the results.
"Your daughter has endometriosis. During a typical menstrual cycle, the lining inside your uterus — the endometrium — builds up and is then shed, but in Valentina's case that lining grows outside the uterus, usually around the ovaries or beneath the uterus in an area called the posterior cul-de-sac. As it builds up and breaks down, it causes small amounts of bleeding inside the pelvis. This leads to pain, inflammation, swelling and scarring." The doctor explained.
"So she will always be in this much pain when she is on her period?" Xavier asked.
"Well these are some symptoms that she can have;
-severe painful period cramps
-Chronic pelvic pain. Sometimes women have chronic and severe pelvic pain even when they don't have their periods.
-Painful intercourse later on in life. This common symptom, also known as dyspareunia, is due to endometriosis beneath the uterus. During penetration, women might have intense, localized pain.
-Ovarian cysts. These cysts can become large and painful, and often need to be removed.
-throwing up
-dizziness, fainting or near fainting
These symptoms can be controlled with medications like birth control pills or leuprolide acetate. Both suppress the pituitary from releasing hormones that make endometriosis grow." She explained.
"If later on in life she would want to get pregnant, could she?" dad asked hesitant.
"Yes, most woman with this condition can still get pregnant naturally without medical assistance, but if she would have severe endometriosis which she has not (stage III/IV) then about 75% would be able to do so – two-thirds naturally and one-third with the help of IVF." Dr. Elizabeth explained.
Dad nodded before excusing himself and walking up to Valentina who was now peacefully sleeping.
