My body shot up in a sitting position as my chest heaved up and down heavily. Cold sweat dripped off my forehead and a soft whimper left me mouth. My body felt sore and achy from thrashing around in my sleep. I felt like I had fallen in a volcano, every inch of my body burning like fire.
Another nightmare, it felt like I was there, getting hit and yelled at. My medications stopped working and I couldn't get rid of these horrible dreams.
I carefully moved Koda off of me and placed him on the side of my bed. I slipped out of bed and stumbled into the bathroom that was connected to me room. I stood in front of my mirror, scared to look up to see my pale face and dull eyes.
I was broken and could never be fixed, even if I was always happy, my memories came back to haunt me forever.
A soft sigh left my mouth and inhaled sharply trying to hold back the salty tears. I wanted to forget, forget everything that has happened to me in the past, but I knew that wasn't possible.
I gripped the edge of the bathroom countertop and closed my eyes tightly. I must stay happy, I'm in Hawaii, I shouldn't be upset..
I turned the faucet on and splashed some cold water on my face to reduce my puffy eyes. Once I was done I dried off my face with a towel and headed back to bed. Walking past my phone I noticed it was only 4 am and I decided to put an alarm on for 6 am so I could go watch the sunrise on the beach.
I put my phone on the nightstand and snuggled back up under the warmth of my blankets. I closed my eyes and fell back to sleep immediately.

Beep beep beep
My phone rang quietly in my room and I groaned softly, rolling onto my side. Once it kept ringing I sat up and quickly pressed stop on my phone.
I sat up in my bed and rubbed my eyes gently before looking around. It was still dark but dark red clouds were shown, scattered in the sky indicating the sun was rising soon.
I jumped out of bed and quickly grabbed my flip flops to head outside. Koda was awoken from my movement and he jumped off the bed to go to me.
I smiled and picked him up to bring him along with me. Just to be sure he didn't run away, I put a harness on him with a leash and I headed out my bedroom door.
I tip toed through the halls, trying to be as quiet as possible. I didn't want to wake anybody up. That's if they were still sleeping I hope.
Once I got to the front door I opened it carefully making sure it didn't creak and I left the house.
As I walked off to the beach, the sound of the waves crashing on the shore got louder and louder. I heard the birds chirp and their winds flap around from above.
Koda wagged his tail excitedly and barked at the seagulls that sat on the white soft sand,
I smiled to myself and immediately sat down with Koda so we could watch the sun rise in the horizon.
By 6:25 the sun was up, causing the fluffy clouds to illuminate a variety of warm colors. They mirrored of the water out in the sea and I closed my eyes, enjoying the salty breeze.

After about 20 minutes of sitting on the beach watching the sunrise and Koda play around by the water, I decided to head back home.
I grabbed koda's leash and we walked back to the house slowly. Once I got back I opened the door and saw Dante on the couch with his arms crossed.
"Where have you been! I almost had to tell Matteo you were missing!" He yelled at me immediately and I stepped back startled from him raising his voice.
"I..I just went to watch the sunrise..! I'm sorry I didn't say anything." I stuttered out and tried to stop the tears from pouring out.
"I might as well tell Matteo right now! How about that." Dante snarled out and my eyes widened in fear.
"N..No please don't!" I pleaded and tears were now pouring down my cheeks.
Footsteps could be heard rushing down the stairs and I gulped down the ball that formed in my throat.
"What is going on here Dante?" Matteo asked angrily since he heard yelling.
"I don't know why don't you ask little Bella here." Dante smirked and I shook my head and ran off upstairs, ignoring them calling my name.
Great I already ruined my first day in Hawaii.
I locked my door and went into my bathroom to take a shower to get rid of all my sad thoughts. I turned the shower on and let it run on cold. I undressed and sat down in the shower, letting the freezing cold water run down my skin.
Tears rolled down my cheeks but the water washed them away instantly.
Shouting..so much shouting
My mind brought me back to all the times I've been yelled at by my abuser. My body shook and my breathing became shallow.
No.,no no go away!
I shouted and punched the bathroom wall on instinct. My mind made me see my abuser standing there. I sobbed and turned the shower off to get out and escape the thoughts.
My heart was racing and I immediately closed my eyes while taking deep breaths, trying to calm down.
Soon the living nightmare subsided and I sat on the door with a white bath towel wrapped around me. I decided to put on a large T-shirt with some shorts and I climbed into bed weakly.
My head was pounding and I couldn't understand where I was for awhile. I groaned in pain and pulled my bag on my bed. I started to rummage through all my items looking for my pills for anxiety that basically relax/sedate me.
My hand came in contact with the bottle and I heard the pills rattle in the container. I grabbed it quickly and opened it up, popping two in my mouth. I forced them down my throat and I'm about a minutes relief washed over me.
I grabbed my phone and checked them time. 9:20 am. I sighed and placed my phone down. Has it really been 2 hours? I don't remember being in the bathroom that long.
I scanned my room with my eyes, taking in the full design now that the sun was out and I could see better. Everything was way prettier in the daylight, it was like a comfort place for me,
My stomach suddenly rumbled and I gulped nervously thinking if I should go downstairs or not. But that meant facing my brothers and I was not ready. Especially after what had happened this morning.
I wonder if they all hate me now...now they can realize I'm not perfect. I know I was wrong about leaving alone this morning but shouting at me did nothing.
I exhaled and then took a deep breath before standing up from my bed. Now that I took my medicine I'll be calmer and maybe, just maybe I can go downstairs without freaking out.
I walked to my bedroom door, unlocking it before slowly reaching for the doorknob. I hesitantly turned the knob before opening the door.
I heard pans clanging downstairs and muffle voices. I decided to just quietly step down the stairs and run towards the couch where Koda laid.
Koda spotted me right away and he jumped up from the cushion. I smiled and picked him up.
"Hi my baby, I'm sorry I left you.." I whispered softly and nuzzled my face into his fur. I took a seat on the couch and stroked Koda's head gently, forgetting about everything for a moment. My peace was fun until I heard someone walking towards me and I stopped day dreaming.
I looked up and saw Dante standing in front of me, his face washed over with an apologetic look.
"Hey Bella...I'm sorry about earlier, I shouldn't have yelled at you. And Matteo said he'll let you pass this time." Dante mumbled and rubbed the back of his neck.
A small smile appeared on my face and I placed Koda down before standing up. "I forgive you~" I hummed and hugged Dante tightly as he replied back with a hug.
My stomach rumbled again and Dante chuckled. "Come Lorenzo made breakfast and I already fed Koda so you don't have to." He informed me and I nodded, following him into the kitchen.
The smell of bacon filled my nose and I licked my lips hungrily. I took a seat next to Gio and Lorenzo handed me a plate with bacon, eggs, and toast with butter and jam.
"Thank you, it looks yummy.." I mumbled as I took a few bites of the delicious food. Only a couple bites and my appetite was fulfilled. I took a few sips of the orange juice Matteo had poured for me and I sighed looking down at my lap.
Matteo looked at me and placed his hand on my shoulder. "Are you okay?" He asked softly and I looked up at him.
"Yeah..sorry I just took my medicine so I don't feel really good right now. I'm gonna go sit down on the couch." I muttered and excused myself from the dining table.
Everybody watched me as I walked away from them and took a seat on the couch.
My body slumped into the cushions and I closed my eyes. It was almost 10 am and I overheard Matteo talking about going into the city to walk around and explore.
A small smile appeared on my face as I thought about going to the city. I bet it was beautiful, I couldn't wait to go.
